She doesn’t drink unless she’s pressured into it, but she will happily watch over her drunk pirate girlfriend any time she needs it.

Definitely English or some kind of literature specialization. She loves reading and hearing new stories, so it’d be right up her alley.

She’d probably offer the maid of honor position to the one and only person she’s called a friend for most of her life.

She’d honestly probably like to visit the 1920s, if only for the fashion. Those flapper dresses would be right up her alley.

Rey is one most people who care to talk to her for more than a few minutes end up using for her. Moonbeam is a recent one, used mostly by her favorite pirate, and of course coming from the fact that she’s a moon elf. She’s had other, much less kind nicknames in the past, but she’d prefer not to think about them.

She tries her best to be a good person, though she sees herself as inherently dangerous to everyone around her.

Honestly, she’d probably be Bigfoot. Lots of hair, easily frightened, just wants people to leave her alone.

She wishes she could tell her parents and the friend she left behind that she’s sorry, for much different reasons.

“A lot of things are going to happen in the future that you won’t expect, and a lot of them will be scary. But you’ll make it through them. You’re a lot stronger than you think you are. If you ever feel like running away, then run away and don’t look back. It’ll still be scary, but you can handle it. I promise.”

She’d be kind of against the idea of a prank war at first, but with enough persuasion she’d get into it. Talia would definitely be on her team, and by consequence they’d probably be against Roman. She’d want Cordelia on their team, too, because she likes Cordelia.
20. Can they drive a car? Are they good at it? (If cars don’t exist, would they be able to drive if they existed?)
The thought of driving would scare her, so I don’t think she’d be able to do it.

When she was first learning to use her magic, she got spooked by one of her family’s horses kicking something over out in the yard, and she accidentally set her socks on fire. The blaze was put out easily enough, but both of her feet still have a few faint burn scars on them.

Abomination. Monster. Worthless. Dangerous. Disgrace. Shameful. Demon. Marriage.

She hasn’t really gotten to talk to Cordelia much yet, but I think they’d get along like a house on fire. Cordelia’s young and more cheerful than anyone else in their party, and she’d be a good friend for Reyelle. She’d also probably get along with Caldwin, since he’s pretty soft spoken compared to most of their companions.

Too many things she’d rather not think about.

She’s like something on the lighter side like Sprite.

To be free without any more worries to weigh her down. To be able to trust herself.

1. what are your oc’s natural abilities, things they’ve been doing since young?
She’s always been a fairly good runner, and when she first was taken in by Xo, she took her mother’s bow from her home. So she’s been doing that since around four or so.
2. what activities have they participated in?
Professional archery in a sense, helping Xo run their brewery business, and now in her job as a bounty hunter.
3. what abilities do they have that they’ve worked for?
When she was a little kid still travelling with Xo, she had trouble distinguishing which forest berries or plants were safe to eat, and up until her job now she has people watching her telling what to eat and what’s safe. She’s had to learn how to learn recognizes which foods are safe to eat and which ones are poisonous.
4. what things are they bad at?
*Xo voice* Eating any fucking green food. But in all seriousness, she’s bad at keeping track of time. She could think she’s running around town for just three hours until Xo is coming after her in tears because she actually been gone for ten.

Archery by far. She made a name for herself in her skills years ago, which is how they were able to reunite with Xo.

1. how would they decorate a house if they had one under their name?
First of all, she’d choose to live in a tree house that sprawled across the tree tops, but if she had to live in a normal house, she would still choose one close to nature with lots of house plants and little critters running about.

Listen, Yaretzi is a 13 year old girl. Do you really think she’s not going to want to give her kids the coolest room ever where your room is a treehouse and the floor looks like grass? On top of that she would give all her kids stuffed animals of woodland creatures because she’s that dedicated to theme.

She just recently got her own room (though she still sleeps in Xo’s bed a lot) but it’s fairly small and has her bed in one corner with a sad attempt at a canopy by Xo, a small shelf that has all of her dolls and book, and small desk that has a little notebook that Xo bought her for her birthday.

At home she wears a similar shirt to Xo (off the shoulder white peasant blouse) and a long flowy skirt, but in the field she wears dark trousers, her blouse, a thick overcoat, and a bandana of some kind to keep her hair out of her face.

She likes painting her nail, but putting on makeup reminds her of being forced to wear makeup for her slave family.

She’s usually optimistic, even if it’s hidden under a snarky tone. Despite the trauma that Yaya’s faced, she finds the future hopeful.

Nah, she keeps her optimism to herself unless someone asks for it. She’s all for people following their own philosophy.

She tries her best, but she’s 13 and all the people in her life are at least in their late 30s at best and at worst like mid 100s. But because she’s pragmatic, the advice tends to be sound.

Probably Auntie Breda. She agreed with Xo when they said that Breda was one of the most optimistic people that Xo had ever met. And she is glad for it, since the rest of Xo’s friends tend to be on the angstier side.

Yeah, it’s been her personal philosophy since childhood with her birth parents that there is always something better in the future, so it’s important not to lose hope. While that has helped her look on the bright side of things, it kinda worked backwards because now Yaretzi is never content and that is the biggest reason why she tries to work for something more.

It actually probably would be her youthful attitude and optimism because god knows that Xo isn’t optimistic.

Brutal honesty. If she doesn’t like you, she will let you know and you will know it in an instant.

Xo loves her endless energy and optimism, and of course her cheekiness and sass.

Xo envies their daughter’s ability to be honest and love herself completely (though they wouldn’t have it any other way).

She dislikes people who hide their true feelings and put up a front just to get people to like them.

Yeah, mainly from Xochitl or any of her other family. She usually only asks for help from someone she trusts.

Yes, just so she can do her tasks perfectly and not get in trouble. She was very dedicated to not making mistakes so no one would yell at her or punish her.

She will just because she thinks she doesn’t have anything to hide, but she won’t want to answer it.

Yeah. When she was little and just met Arzan and Mae, she asked them if they know where their earholes go because they don’t have earlobes. She also asked Tarel why he doesn’t have hair on one half of his head (Xo answered that it was because Buttons’ mom at the other half)

Yeah, it’s about 90% of why she gets in trouble with Xo. Xo of course understands that kids should be able to run around and get dirty, but they’re still dealing with the trauma of losing Yaretzi twice when she was a little kid.

1. do they follow rules?
She tries to. When she was a slave she followed the rules as close as she could so she wouldn’t get punished, and now she wants to be as good as a child as she can for Xochitl, but she does lies in order to do her job.

Given how Xo struggles to keep the line between letting their child live her life and keeping a close eye so she doesn’t go missing again, Yaretzi thinks she’d be a laid back parent but still be open in case her child wants to talk to her about stuff that’s bothering them.

Only once, when she snuck out of the house to try to go to a festival that was happening a town over. She knew that Xo wouldn’t let her go because it was winter and there was storm coming that would be brutal, but she had enough faith for herself to go. Of course, she got caught in the storm and Xo barged in like an angry mother to come save her and Yaya had seen that rage at those who tried to harm her, but had never seen it directed at her. Of course, Yaya got sick and wasn’t allowed to leave the house for three weeks.
4. have they broken any rules they now regret breaking?
She regrets breaking the above because she feels extremely guilty about using Xo’s trust in her against them.

She hated the work she had to do as a slave. As far as roles went, it was all menial work and the other slaves made sure she didn’t get anything that would pout her in danger, but she can’t just understand why slavery is a thing.

1. are they street-smart?
One of the many Xo’s taught her is that the world is full of both very bad and very good people, but you never know who is which when you meet them. So always be wary.
2. would they give money to someone on the streets?
Every time she goes out, she tries to. She keeps most if it so she and Xo can feed themselves, but at least 10% of her money she tries to give out.
3. have they ever gotten in a fight on the streets?
No, she’s always been a good runner and a smart girl that if she senses danger, she will run the other way.
4. has anything happened to them on the streets?
No, she’s always had people to look out for her, unless you count when she was kidnapped and sold into slavery.

Absolutely. It’s one of the few rules Xo has for her along with ‘Always be back before sundown’, ‘Never go with anyone no matter what they say they have’, and ‘Always beat Tarel at anything involving accuracy just so I can tease him later’.

1. are they honest?
She’s usually brutally honest, unless she’s lying to save someone (or lying to Xo about what she really does all day). But for the most part she will say exactly what’s on her mind whether that’s good or bad.

Oh yeah. Girl was taught to be kind, but wary of everyone, so she has a +6 to insight. If she thinks you’re bullshitting her, she will find out.
3. is it obvious when they’re lying?
Not really. Probably to people who are naturally distrusting she would be found out quick, but in the case of lying to Xo, she knows that her mom cares so much about her that they’d believe just about anything she told them just because they believe she has never done anything wrong in her life, ever.

She doesn’t necessarily regret lying to Xo about her job, but she does feel incredibly guilty about it because if her mom knew how her little Yaya was getting them bills, they’d probably have a heart attack.

Not really. She’s been lucky that most stuff about her life has been kept secret. Xo wants the both of them to live in as much anonymity as possible, and so far that hasn’t been an issue.

Definitely, especially in both the places where she was forced to work as a slave.

Nah, Yaya knows how detrimental bullying can be and vows not to do it to anyone. Except possibly Uncle Tarel because she’s just that niece.

Nah, she’s got a stomach of steel. She’s worked with enough animals and their shit to keep any food down.

1. how old were you when you created them?
18. She was made at the same time as Xochitl.
2. what inspired you to create them?
I wanted Xo to have a “Lee and Clementine” relationship, and thus the dwarfin was born.
3. were they different when they were first created?
I mean, in the sense that she developed as a person as she grew up, but how I intended her to be, not really. I wanted her to be more idealistic as a small child and be more realist and hardened as she grew up. She’s still definitely more idealistic than Xo is, but she’s a salted caramel.
4. do you enjoy writing them more than other characters?
I haven’t really done much with Yaya, but I do love her as a character. I really like playing with child characters because they’re not super mature but they can be major ass kickers.
5. what’s your favorite thing about them?
She just wants her mom to be happy and not have to worry about her. But by striving to fix that, she ends up making Xo worry about her more because of how dangerous Yaretzi’s job is.

1. what’s their favorite animal?
Deer. She likes watching them in the forest when she’s working.

She loves animals. Her mom’s a druid and at a lot of her previous jobs she had to work with animals.

She has been training in the art of charm and seduction since she was five. And she’s damn good at it. Girl’s got a +8 to persuasion and deception and an 18 in charisma.

Talia did pretty much everything performative as a child: singing, dancing, acting, standing around looking pretty. It wasn’t until after she became a pirate that her activities upgraded to looting, killing, and having sex for funsies.

Swordsmanship. When she lived with her mother she wasn’t allowed to even look at weapons, but after she was orphaned she had to learn how to fight and she got good at it.

Anything chocolate. Particularly chocolate cake because it was one of the meals she shared with her mother that her mother seemed to focus entirely on her.

While captain, it was her first mate Ariadne and her navigator, Calliope. They both seemed to know what Talia had been through even if Talia didn’t know herself, and acted as her older siblings.

She never really wants a house just because she’s been on the move her entire life, but if she were to get one, she’d want wide spaces so she could run and move about, and would decorate her home with her spoils of her robberies and a couple hanging lights because there’s nothing like a good light feature.

A whole walk in closet so they can choose whatever they want to wear, a ton of “My First Weapons” toys including a toy sword and toy gun, any stuffed animals or dolls that they’d like, and a full library.

Her old room on the ship was decked out in many of the ornate blankets and pillows that she stole throughout the years as well as her desk which usually stashes more plundered treasure and a few liquor bottles. She makes sure her bed is next to the window (which is locked from the inside) in case she needs to escape during the night.

Her everything. Though if there had to be a specific feature, probably her facial structure. She has a very symmetrical, well structured face. And it knocks everyone away.

When she actually likes someone, she will drop everything to attend to them, even if she tries to mask it under sarcasm. When she and Reyelle get close, Reyelle could basically ask Talia to do anything, and she’d do it.

Up until she became a pirate, Talia followed every rule she was ever given, but now unless you were a specific person, you can never get her to follow any rule. The only reason she didn’t lie right out to the police is because she was hoping they’d let her go if she complied.

She would be an extremely laid back parent. As long as her kid doesn’t talk back or is out for more time than is safe, she would let them get away with literal murder.

Absolutely. Talia would not have survived this long if she wasn’t.

Not willingly unless Rey was with her and then she’d feel so guilty that she’d give a couple coins just to appease her.

Plenty of times. She once got kicked out of a tavern because she caused a bar fight because a man called her “doll”.

It’s mentioned above that a couple times she was attacked before she joined a crew and it was one of the first times she killed someone. There was also that time they walked on that pile of corpses and they were all arrested.

Extremely so. Especially now that she doesn’t have a crew and she’s effectively on her own along with some very strange people.

She’s probably lied more in her life than she’s been honest.

She’s got a +3 to insight and is usually at least skeptical of everyone she meets, including Reyelle when she first met her. She always takes what people say with a grain of salt just in case they’re using her the same way she’s probably using them.

Nope, pretty much not at all. Like I said, girl’s got a +8 to deception.

She does regret lying to Reyelle about taking her aboard the Rusted Serpent to take her around sailing, just to steal from her and leave her stranded. Partially because she feels super guilty that she stole from her only to run into her again, and two because Reyelle really does deserve the world.

She absolutely despises whoever knew her last name among the Rusted Serpents and spread it to everyone, because now her party knows who she is, though hasn’t really seemed to feel the sense that they know exactly who she is.
U: Underdog
1. have they been bullied?
It’s less bullying and more mutiny, but when working as a captain, it took a lot to get some people (particularly some of the men working) to trust her in a leadership position and tried to bully her out. It only took being on the business end of a rapier and a threat that she promised to make good on for them to not their bullying in her face.
2. have they bullied anyone?
Oh definitely. She’s bullied some of the first crew, her crew now, and flat out stole from some of her party. She likes bullying Roman though. Just because he’s a dick.
3. have they been physically attacked by a bully?
When she was on her own, some men on the street tried to attack her and pushed her against the wall and it was the first time she killed someone without using a weapon. She basically gouged their eyes out with her bare fingers.

Abso-fucking-lutely. It’s why her ship’s been stolen and two thirds of her crew are dead.

Some of the people on her first crew knew who she was and were extremely surprised (and a little intimidated) by how fast Talia learned how to swordfight.
V: Vomit

Nope, she’s got a stomach of steel after a couple years at sea. She will only vomit if she sees excessive gore.
2. do they get lots of stomach aches?
Not anymore since she’s used to being at sea, but starting around six or so, she got sick a ton as child and had doctors and nurses see her whenever she wasn’t working.

Not at all. If someone is sick on the ship, you won’t see Talia for days around that person until she’s 110% you’re better. The only person she ever got near when they were sick is Celestia, and that’s because the teen gnome is one of her favorite people.

She usually doesn’t like to be touched when she’s sick (unless you’re Reyelle) but with Rey she would like having her back rubbed and being kissed on the top of her head.

Reyelle comes from a very long line of very powerful, very wealthy moon elves. She knows little in the way of specifics about her ancestors, just that her family line is something she’s supposed to be proud of. Until very recently, she kept with all the traditions her parents forced upon her.

She knows very little about the concept of sex, apart from the fact that it’s what makes babies. She didn’t learn about it until she was well into her sixties (or her teens, in elf years).

What is Talia's opinion on all these odd people she's just met
Talia’s mantra in life is to keep people at an arm’s distance soshe doesn’t have the chance to get close to them and either have them betrayher or feel guilty when she betrays them. Now that’s she’s being forced to tagalong on a suicide mission she wants no part of, she has a couple of thoughtson her new “companions”.
Reyelle
Talia never meant to run into Reyelle again, especially afterhow bad she felt stealing from her. She was such a beautiful, kind lost souland if it wasn’t for work, she would have probably steered clear of her. Nowthat they’re on this adventure together and have seen many horrors that Talia wouldn’t wish on any normal person all in one day, she wishes she could shield the moonbeam from the horrors of the world. However, this doesn’t change the fact that as soon as she’s free to go, she’s getting on her ship and hopefully will never run into her ever again.
Roman
Roman first seemed to be a possible ally that Talia could get behind, and even helped him steal things from the manion while they were looking for clues. She appreciated that he helped look after Reyelle even though some jealousy was starting to brew. All good feelings were thrown out the window, however, the moment Roman opened his mouth and threw her under the bus for being a pirate. Now she feels disgusted that he would betray her like that especially after he offered her a job, and doesn’t want to be anywhere near him and if were up to her, she would kill him when she got the chance.
Cordelia
If she’s gonna be honest, Talia wants the kid to get as far awayfrom this mess as possible. She’s a sweet kid and is way in over her head, evenif she has help from Jerome/Julliard/Genesis/Gene Wilder/Gerald. I mean. it’salready pretty creepy that a kid is going around talking to dead people with askeleton strapped to her back, but she feels bad Cordelia’s being draggedaround while facing off giant spiders and 8 murders in all in one day.
Luci
Out of everyone in their small crew, Talia definitely respectsLuci the most. Although a little hot headed, she appreciates her candor anddetermination and thinks in another life they could have been crewmates. Ofcourse, now that it’s basically her and the other Wonder Twin’s fault she’sstuck trying to solve a murder she didn’t commit and not being paid for killingthe giant spiders, she’s more than a little pissed.
Caldwin
Caldwin’s definitely got a good head on his shoulders, which Talia definitely respects, but she also thinks he’s too shy for his own good, especially when dealing with as someone as rowdy as his sister. Talia still is wary around other half-elves even with the few half-elves she has as crewmates just because the people she spent her time around were either humans who fetishized her for her elven heritage or elves who scorned her for her human heritage. But she thinks the Wonder Twins have a good handle on things even if they are terrible employers. If they had other pirates not as nice as her, they would’ve been killed already for delaying payment. Which is a shame because he would actually be a pretty decent leader.

What's Tarel's opinions on the mission they have, the rest of the party, and ripped jeans. What's Reyelle's opinion of Talia, dancing, and mystery novels?
Tarel
Absolutely fucking hates that he got roped into this stupid mission for an equally stupid queen. He doesn’t even care about some shitty war and some shitty politics. He really, really just wants to peace the fuck out, but he knows he can’t at this point. Not without causing even more problems for himself, anyway.
Is still a little iffy on the party as a whole. Some he’s warmed up to more than others. Xo he feels like he relates the most to, and he’s decided he’d like to try and help them find their lost kid, if he can. If he could bring the people he lost back, he would. Breda is definitely too good for this world. Ellie is a little bit too much on the quiet side for his tastes, but she is also probably too good for this world. Mae is rad, he likes her style. Arzan often rubs him the wrong way, mostly because he finds him a bit too relatable– with an extra side of dickishness that Tarel doesn’t want to admit he probably has, too. And then the mysterious man, he’s just indifferent to.
Fucking loves ripped jeans. Not even a question.
Reyelle
Is both impressed and intimidated by Talia because she seems so confident in herself. She does worry quite a bit about Talia’s more… roguish tendencies, but she doesn’t consider Talia a bad person or anything. She’s quite fascinated by the fact that Talia sails and has her own ship, and apart from the one time Talia robbed her, so far she’s enjoyed Talia’s company. She also thinks Talia is incredibly beautiful and that gets her a little flustered.
Knows how to dance formally, for sure, but isn’t all that fond of such a stuffy dancing style. She’s never really tried to dance just for fun, so she isn’t sure if she would like it or not.
Has read quite a few mystery novels and tends to enjoy them. Trying to solve mysteries is a good escape from reality.

Xochitl
1. One of Xo’s hidden talents is that they’re an amazing dancer, from the historic and ancient folk dancing they learned to do in their village to making up their own dances that they performed in taverns and music halls when they began to travel from town to town. Dancing was one of the only pastimes they had while growing up and was the only way to keep boredom and sadness at bay. When they met Yaretzi, they also taught her how to dance, mainly the folk dance of their village. Ever since Yaya was kidnapped and sold into slavery, Xo hasn’t danced at all and feels sad that they can’t do the one thing they found comfort in as a child.
2. If it’s not clear with Buttons and Yaya, Xochitl has giant soft spot for small creatures. When they lived on their own, they liked watching mice, squirrels, lizards, and other small forest creatures run across the forest floor, and when they’re bored, uses “talk to animals” to have little conversations with them. It’s one of the things they find peace in, especially before they met Yaya. Now, when the rest of the team is asleep and Xo can’t fall asleep, they also use ‘talk to animals’ just to get closer to Buttons.
3. Although they are illiterate, they developed their own hieroglyphic language while they lived in their village, eager to have a medium they could claim as their own. When they met Yaya, they taught her their primitive writing system in hopes that if they’re ever able to teach her how to read in the future, she’ll already have a bit of reading and writing experience. It’s also one of the biggest areas of insecurity Xo has as a parent. They know that Yaretzi is a smart kid and is always learning, and feels bad that they are helpless to give Yaya the education they deserve, besides teaching her how to shoot, hunt, and navigate terrain.
Talia
1. Talia’s nickname as a child was “Doll”, especially by her mother who taught her that to be delicate and beautiful was more important than anything else. To this day, although she sometimes subconsciously tells herself to be more doll-like and an object meant to be viewed with reverence above all else, some unfortunate sailors and creatures have met their fate after they made the mistake of getting her attention by calling her “doll”
2. Although her relationship with her previous girlfriend, Zaitari was mainly a sexual relationship, Talia feels like her previous captain was the first true friend she ever had. As a child she only time she hung around other children her age that weren’t her slaves were various noble children her mother would take her to see other noble families and that was mostly for extravagent parties and galas where she was shown off to adoring crowds, especially because she was one of the few noble half elves that were in line for the their family’s fortune and not just an illegitamate child. Because she was often told that noble children should be admired for their looks and not their thoughts, Talia never was allowed to actually spend time with the other children. This is why despite the problems she had with Zaitari, Talia still feels like it was the first real relationship of any kind she’s had.
3. Talia has never mentioned it to anyone, but she does actually care for most of her crew, especially the teenage gnome thief she’s taken on in within the last few months, Celestia. She’s not a warm person by any means necessary, but she snarks a lot less around Celestia and most of her crew than she does around anyone else she meets. If somebody asked her, she would deny it of course because she has a reputation to uphold as the captain of the Rusted Serpents that she is cold and unfeeling and would kill just for the hell of it, but for some members like Celestia, or her navigator Calliope and first mate Ariadne, the three of whom she considers her closest companions, she would die for them, and she would definitely kill for them.

★ - Favorite memory for Xo, ★ - Insecurity for Talia
Xochitl Xo hasn’t had a lot of happy memories in their life, so it’s no surprise that their fondest moments were during the time they took care of Yaya. While the first time Yaya hit a bullseye was definitely one of the proudest moments they’ve ever had, the one particular moment they remember most was the first time Yaretzi ever called them “Mama” and didn’t correct herself, even though they both knew that Yaya remembered her birth mother. After this moment there was a definite change in their relationship as Xochitl began to think of themself as Yaya’s parent rather than just someone who took her under their wing and Yaya began to call Xo “Mama” a lot more as she began to think of herself as Xo’s daughter than just someone in their care.
Talia Although its been several years since Talia’s lived as a noblewoman, she still wonders if she’s not cut out to be a leader and pirate, especially one that’s in charge of over 15 crewmates who most, if not all have lived as thieves and pillagers a lot longer than she has, which is only about 7 years. A lot of the ideas she was indoctrinated as a child, such as being seen more as an object to admire and used rather than a person in her own right and the idea that she was born to be a showpiece of beauty, a symbol of her mother’s dynasty, still remain with her and she can’t help but worry that she has no purpose outside of being a picture of beauty and fragility. When she thinks too much in this mindset, Talia tends to get very quiet and not talk for up to days at a time, only talking again after one of her crew manages to get her to open up. No one really knows why their captain has quiet spells, but they know the consequences if someone dares to ask.

1. What would be their favorite Disney (or other animated) movie?
Yaretzi loves nature like her mom, so any nature-y movie with beautiful scenery she’d adore. She is all about the cinnamon topography so would probably adore movies like Pocahontas and because she’s a sharp shooting baby, would love Robin Hood.
2. What do they usually like for breakfast?
By the time she appears in Eutaria, she is at the age where she eats everything. She tends to favor meatier things like sausages or meat pies, especially since she goes hunting a lot to get food for herself and Xochitl.
3. What sort of cuddler are they?
Ever since she was small, she’s had people to cuddle with whether it was her birth family, some of her nicer coworkers when she was small, or Xo in her first couple years and in the last few years when they lived together, so she just climbs into people’s laps and sleeps against them. Xo always loves cuddling with their baby girl so they don’t mind at all.
4. How do they say “I love you”?
Yaretzi tends to withhold “I love yous” unless she absolutely loves them, which is still often since she at least loves her mother with all her heart as well as her Uncle Tarel and Aunt Ellie, so she says it a lot around them. She says it more often when she feels guilty, like when she lies to her mother’s face about where she is.
5. What kind of shoes do they wear?
Moccasins or brown boots. She and her mom are boot buddies. Usually when she’s around the house or town she wears moccasins but when she’s working and needs stronger footwear, she opts for boots.
6. What is their favorite accessory?
It’s not technically a wearable accessory, but she’s had her bow since her last job and it’s actually really well crafted and even has her initials on it. It’s almost as tall as her, but it makes her feel safe.
7. Are they more inclined towards fashion or comfort?
She’s more on the fashionable side since she hangs out with Ellie a lot for studying, but she also wears typical Aggan fashion which is off the shoulder white shirt and green long skirt with boots.
8. What makes them laugh?
She hangs out with Tarel enough that anything he says makes her laugh because he’s a good uncle, really anytime Xo shades bards, and just watching stupid people from the trees.
9. Do they have a favorite flower?
She comes across flowers a lot while working in the forest, but her personal favorite is a poppy because they’re just so colorful and vibrant. She wears it in her hair sometime.
10. Would they be the one to propose to their significant other?
Most likely. She’s always been a bit rambunctious and when she actually gets close to someone, she will want to make sure that she can be with them for as long as she can.
11. What bad habits do they have?
Lying to her mom about her illicit activities she’s done over the most recent months, talking to herself when she’s on the job because she’s lonely, and tracking mud in the house, which gives Buttons something to lick up whenever she comes home.
12. What are their biggest insecurities?
She actually doesn’t have that many insecurities except making sure that she can repay Xo for all they’ve done for her over the years.
13. How do they wear their hair?
She’s cut it short fairly recently, about to her shoulders, and it has a beautiful natural curl, so she ties part of it back with a bandana while she’s working and lets the rest fall behind her back.
14. Are they an impulse shopper? If so, what would they buy?
No, she literally is Xo’s impulse control and will keep an eye on every piece of gold they have so Xo doesn’t spend it on like a Fantasy Pogo stick they bought when they were drunk.
15. When do they usually sleep?
She sleeps earlier than Xo usually at around 10pm, but also wakes up at 5 to start her jobs and go hunting before Xo gets up.
16.What makes them worry?
Xochitl finding out about what Yaretzi’s been doing these past few months, getting killed on one of her jobs, and whether she’s as strong as she thinks she is.
17. Do they have any creative outlets?
Part of her second job was creatively shooting things, so Yaretzi has some dope ass trick shots with her bow when she’s in the woods. She also dances with Xo together to keep the spirit of their first homes alive, and sometimes she’ll help her Aunt Breda with the cooking.
18. How do they comfort an upset loved one?
She’s a fan of talking it out, especially since sometimes it takes a little coaxing to get Xo to talk about their past with their daughter, especially all that happened in the events when Yaretzi was taken, but she likes lying against people and telling them that they’re going to be okay and that she’s going to kill every last person who hurt her loved ones.
19. What are they like when they’re sick?
She’s got that dwarven toughness that helps her stave away the sickness, but when she is sick, she’s still pretty hardy. She was the only one in her family not to die of the plague when she was found by Xochitl, and she can carry on for about a full week of being sick before she actually needs to lie down. It is very hard to figure out when she’s sick, but you’ll know when she just starts sneezing up a storm.
20. Do they say what they’re thinking, or keep their thoughts to themselves?
She tends to be pretty vocal about her feelings because she knows that you can’t let people walk over you and if you act older than you are then people will respect you more. She’s more secretive about her intentions and what she’s doing, but her immediate feelings she says out loud.
21. What is the best gift they’ve ever received?
Xo’s given her a lot over the years, but a family is definitely the biggest thing they could have given her.
22. Are they good at keeping track of time?
Yeah, she has to be in order to keep up her charade without Xo finding out, plus she sometimes has strict deadlines from her jobs that require her to know exactly what time of day it is.
23. What is their favorite ice cream flavor?
Butter Praline. She’s a little old at heart, and it’s one of the flavors that her family won’t eat.
24. What would they order from a fast food/take-out place?
Literally everything on the menu. Someone stop this child’s eating habits. Xo doesn’t mind though, because they just take whatever leftover Yaya has when they get the weed munchies.
25. What is their favorite pizza topping(s)?
She piles on every single topping, no matter whether it fits or not. She is the kid who puts on pineapple next to garlic cloves next to grilled mushrooms. When you live in forests and in various shady jobs, you tend to eat anything that’s put in front of you.

Vanilla and Macadamia Nut
27. Do they paint their nails?
No, unless she’s spending the day with Ellie where Ellie shows Yaya how to be a high society little babe and not a crunchy earth child like her mom.

She’s a really big fan of puzzles, but sometimes living with a bear makes it hard because Buttons likes to eat the pieces.
29. Are they more of a pants or skirts kind of person?
She’s used to wearing skirts all her life, so she tends to go out in long, active skirts and boots.
30. Do they dream often? What about?
She still sometimes has nightmares about all that’s happened to her when she was little, which is enough to give anyone nightmares for a long ass time, but sometimes she’ll dream of being with her birth family or her previous job, which is more bittersweet than anything.
31. Do they have any phobias?
Like her mom, she is afraid of shackles of any kind, fire, and a little surprisingly, spiders. It’s a little hard when she’s always in the forest scouting and spiders tend to live in forests, but she will and has shot a spider before.
32. If they were a pokemon, which would they be?
Rowlet. Small, flighty, round and cute, always hanging around in trees. She’s a beautiful little rowlet that is adored by her Ursaring momma.
33. How well do they handle sea travel? Air travel?
She’s never traveled by either, but she loves both of them more than traveling by carriage. Carriages never tend to be good for her.
34. Which Disney character are they most like?
Definitely a Merida. Bow shooting, doesn’t need a man, wants her freedom, and absolutely goes on adventures with bears.
35. What sort of parent would they be?
She’s got a fairly good set of people to influence her how to be a good parent, so she would be one that lets her kids do their own things while she gives them the tools to make their own adventures. Xo is fairly overprotective of Yaretzi given everything that’s happened to her over the years, so Yaretzi just wants her freedom.
