hiii i saw you rbed the fanfic ask thing so i just wanted to say that for 14 i really enjoyed your fae henry fic and i don't think anyone else has really written anything related to that for firstprince so it was really fun !! and also for 6. i remember the first fic of yours i read was "Feel your hands in my hair and you whisper my name" and it was just so delightful fjldskf and honestly something so in character for alex i just loved it

All right, so. Confession time. Feel your hands in my hair and you whisper my name was written because I actually did see the most stupidly attractive person I've ever seen in my LIFE in the waiting room at my barber's. (I feel the need to clarify that I sadly did not offer to suck his dick, I just internally lost my shit.) It was truly ridiculous and the closest I've ever come to taking a creeper shot of someone because I KNEW no one would believe me. "People aren’t allowed to be that hot in real life it’s supposed to be airbrushing" is a direct quote from the series of hysterical DMs I was sending @celeritas2997 while I tried to stay cool. It was also Cee's birthday and I didn't know what if anything I was gonna write her and then I got back from the barber and was looking at this series of messages and was like... wait.
I feel like enough time has passed that I can fess up to that ridiculous backstory lol.

The best ship you've written for: oh, I still love watching Aurelle and Aymeric's relationship progress, but I also love Tesalya and Astarion making each other worse ^_^ As for non-romantic relationships, Aurelle and her family win everything! Also, the lovely portrayal of friendship between Aymeric and Estinien you've shown us recently
What made me the most emotional after reading: AURELLE GIVING PAPA EDMONT THE HUG HE DIDN'T KNOW HE NEEDED.

Papa Edmont's grief as depicted in game was one of the things that broke me the most about the Heavensward experience, so I'm so glad I have such a lovely OC to set on him, Ishgardian etiquette be damned.
And I'm finally playing Aurelle through Shadowbringers for the first time at the moment actually, and am having so many story thoughts in that regard >:) Got my increasing pile of half-formed WIPs there as well, most recent experimentations of which were trying to figure out Emet-Selch's voice and what interactions between him and my girl might look like.
T'nali is going to make such a mess in Tural, and is very excited to sink her teeth into somewhere new. And already being a tone deaf bard, a red mage who couldn't care less about balance, and a sage that hates healing, I think it's only right that we add pictomancer that can't draw for shit onto her list of achievements XD
And Tesalya does so love to keep finding new ways to break herself beyond repair... I really will need to start hurting everyone else with how that farce ended up soon.

I must have read telling myself, one day I'll forget about it three or four times since you posted it, that's how much I like it. I'm a sucker for the first 'Bartlet for America' campaign fics and it's great, absolutely awesome! I love CJ's thought process, I love the little details suggesting just how small the initial thing is and how nobody really expects it's going to last for a long time. The borrowed chair, the makeshift office... And of course, there's the main theme: CJ who doesn't want to admit that she has a crush on the cute guy with a Pulitzer! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I took it last and had that idea immediately (it started as more of a 'what if…' crazy idea that I couldn't get rid of), which is the mark of a great, great prompt. Love that it connected with you and made you feel emotional! 🥹🥹🥹 It was meant to be chill and quiet… Perhaps because my brain was anything but when I wrote it. (Or now, lol. But early/mid-February was truly something else. What a year.)
Really do think you're hyping Campaign bars way too much. I haven't touched it in forever! It wasn't that interesting or compelling, and I now fear it might disappoint you! It was fun to write, though. It ended up being neglected by the muse, though I'd love to go back to it someday soon! (I fear the pregnancy AU will keep being the priority for the time being.)

3. The best character you’ve written for
Della. Your love of her character absolutely shows in how you write her. She’s hilarious, snarky, and caring at the same time. She’s an absolute ball to read when you write her.
6. Something I remember vividly from reading one of your fics
When Dewey accidentally got high on pot brownies when he met his Great Aunt Matilda in the 1960s.
10. A character/ship I didn't enjoy/think about as much before you wrote about them
Jane. In the grand scheme of things, she’s a relatively minor character, but at the same time, she has such an interesting relationship with both Louie and Webby. And she’s so relatable, in that she’s just a regular Joe, trying to get by by working at a children’s entertainment center. And just how you write her in general is so interesting!
3. Thank you! Della is always a blast to write for! Even when her role is smaller in an overall story I still like to think she makes a big impression. Especially when I not so subtlety let the reader know, “Yeah. Della is in this story!” like in this one where Della was basically given the role of “supportive soccer mom”
If I have an excuse to include Della in a story I will. If she has no story purpose reason to be in a story, I’ll probably just have a character mention her

And I’m glad I know at least one person out there enjoys how I capture! I remember early on when I started I writing I had a worry that my readers would get sick of me writing stuff around Della Duck and so far no complaints!
6. Oh my god! Thanks! I had a lot of fun writing that but I wasn’t sure if people would think it was as funny as I thought it was or they thought I was a messed up individual for writing this kid eating not one, but TWO pot brownies that a family member gave him. (Granted, neither knew they were related to one another but, still)
But at the same time…how could I NOT do a story about Dewey getting high during the events of Timephoon!?!
Timephoon! fics are always so fixated on that one scene when other characters were going through some stuff in that episode too. Well everybody but Dewey and Webby! They were having a fun play date with Bubba and got to eat chili dogs! And then they fought pirates! And went back in time to the 1960s and dressed up like hippies! Talk about a fun day!
I remember when I was writing it I was back and forth with whether or not I wanted Webby to eat a brownie. Glad I didn’t, I have something far more sinister planned for her in the next story which I had planned long before I even wrote Dewey eating that pot brownie
Also. Matilda definitely made edibles and was a hippie during the 60s.
10. Oh Jane, I’m gonna do whatever I can to make more people in the fandom realize you’re great! Because she is! So far I think I only have her in two of my stories. Indi-Quack!’s F.O.W.L Play! where she vents to Gandra about her job (because she deserves to, damn it!) and Up, Up, and Away! where she is on the clock and getting paid time and half to be in the Funso’s ad
I just think she’s the type of person that would be on the good side of everyone in McDuck Family. Besides Louie and Webby, I like to think she’s chill with all the kids.
Also I’m sure Jane has stories about working with Magica that she could share with Lena
I don’t have a whole lot of other stuff planned for Jane. She has a small role in my Iron Duck of Steel story and will definitely appear throughout the story (such acting as sort of a bartender to two characters later on in the story when they’re at a low point in their lives)
And I do have another idea for a story that will take place at Funso’s that I really wanna do. Basically as a way to combat the public finding out about FOWL operating underneath them, Funso’s starts doing adult nights where it basically becomes a Dave and Buster’s because alcohol makes arcades sooooo much better

2. My favorite chapter in a fic of yours is actually a two-fer (and I don’t think you’ll be surprised by it) but it’s the chapters from both to the victor and what, like it’s hard that I mentally call the montage chapters where you slide so smoothly from scene to scene with a line of dialogue. It’s BRILLIANT! You executed it so well and it adds so much in one chapter! Really incredible! (Much like all of that entire series)
ahhh! you know, I don't think I would have picked those chapters as your favourites lol (chapter 4 of both fics for those playing at home). It was a lot of fun to come up with the different transitions.
If we ever get it off the ground, @welcometololaland and I have plans to include something similar in our next collab because it's a good way to cover a lot of time without tripling the wordcount lol

for the fanfic ask game for askers:
5. A fic I haven't read yet from you, but I want to: definitely should read the other fics in Legacy which aren't Monarch. you do an amazing exploration of all the different aspects of atla that we don't see in the canon series, Monarch being a prime example of one such fic. i really feel like i need to delve more into those relationships and characters like Kuzon and Bumi. in a similar vein, i should probably also read Fire in the Night.
11. Something I wish/hope you write: Azula court intrigue fic, coupled with her descent into insanity. i know you've been thinking of an Azula fic, but i'm not sure if it's exactly like this. either way, i'm looking forward to seeing it come to life 😌
5. Oh I'd be excited for you to read more Legacy things! I think overall, I've had the most consistent fun filling in those kinds of gaps in the ATLA storyline than any other fanfic series I've written, and as you can see I have a particular soft spot for Kuzon. I think his potential is absolutely fascinating.
11. Yes, so for various reasons I had to put the Azula fic on hold. However, I can say that this long oneshot is about 3k in. Court intrigue is involved, but a younger Azula is in the center of pulling a lot of strings on the fringe, but not necessarily because she's the mastermind, and more because she has an interest she wants to fulfill.
I don't know if this fic that you're speaking of is exactly what you're looking for, but it is an AU in which Azula becomes obsessed with Zuko in a way that creates this incredibly manipulative environment on steroids. It's a "what if" scenario, as in "What if Azula noticed that the royal family was actually insane and that the only one who really might have had her back in some small way was Zuko?" Now, this is a stretch in canon, but maybe not so much so. In very brief moments, Zuko and Azula have been shown to care for each other in canon, and actually had some sort of playful sibling relationship at some point before things went south, namely when Azula latched onto their parents' machinations far more than her brother did. This is basically taking that canon manipulative Azula, but making her latch onto something else.
I can't tell you exactly when that fic will come out, but it will come out. I'm too deep.

1. Something I remember vividly from reading your fics: don't know why, but can't stop thinking about how differently Erik from 'Gods or Mortals' and Erik from incest fic regarded the possibility of losing Charles. Like, 'give up my love' vs 'burn all the world and people to hell, I won't let you go'. Just love how you can explore every possible direction
2. Fics i’m excited for you updating: 'My Life To Duty Wed', 'Gods or Mortals' (all delicious angst, yeah)
3. A ship I didn't think about as much before you wrote about them: Jacob/Charles ('Brunch with Lehnsherrs' is total fun, 'Trouble With Lehnsherrs' is real hot and 'My Life To Duty Wed' potantial for disaster is promising)
4. A fic of yours that i’ve re-read: currently 'Lost & then Found' (perfect mix of amnesia trop, angst and getting back together)
5. A fic I didn’t expect to like so much: 'It's Magic! (A Gift Remix)'. Almost skipped it because of implied pairing, but read it and it's actually became one of my favourite of yours. Great continuation of the original fic!
6. A question I have about one of your fics: I'm curious about Charles's fate in 'The Disappearance of Charles Xavier'? Will he ever be found?

Re: Gods or Mortals - right now 'losing' Charles is still a bit abstract to Erik i.e. he knows he's letting him go for the good of his kingdom but the implication of what that means won't hit him in the face until Charles ends up with somebody else. Then I think he will lose his damn mind (and his cool), and will be SO possessive and jealous even even if he has absolutely no right lol.
Re: The Disappearance of Charles Xavier - I had so many ideas for this when I first wrote it, but sadly lost my train of thought/interest in that particular au. I think I always intended he would be rescued eventually, though not for a long time and not before En Sabah Nur messes with him and with the people he loves...

(1) Tough, but "a drop of honey." What else can I say? You put my two favorite ships in the same story, and it's glorious from start to finish.
(6) Chapter 3 of "so, i lied, i cheated." When Julian concludes that Garak's cheating on him with Sisko and feels betrayed by both his lover and his captain, I was just hanging on his every emotion, wanting to hug the poor guy. You wrote that so well, I wanted to study it.
(11) all your recent wips sound fascinating, but the 371 era fics you've mentioned in your wip polls, and also the mad scientist fic. 😉

A fic of yours that i've re-read: I'm cheating a little and saying a series, but A Litre of Me. The amount of times I've re-read this series is uh, an [redacted] amount. And I just now noticed that it's been three years since you posted the first in the series. Time sure flies by fast!
I mean in general you can always assume it’s okay to slide into my inbox and compliment me 😂 But no I have absolutely zero problem with people circling back to ask games!
You know, kink!verse gets a lot of love but the first part of the A Litre Of Me series, How much love will you happily take, is probably the smut fic I’m proudest of. I really got to do a deep dive into Why Do We Like The Things We Like which is something I absolutely love exploring, and had a chance to contextualise and explain a fetish that can sometimes be kinda maligned or used to make people feel bad about themselves in a decidedly unsexy way. I definitely thought it was gonna be niche when I wrote it, and it forever blows my mind when I look at the comment count on that fic.
But also, THREE YEARS?? What the actual fuck.

My favorite fic of yours
I'm pretty sure I've told you this before, but it's gotta be Safe Harbor. I'm an absolute sucker for Book 3 Kataang, and I can't get enough. That fic gave me so much kilig, and it still does when I think about it!
awwww chocooooo! Thank you!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Book 3 kataang is kataang GOLD. We've been rewatching with the kids and I have to keep myself from squealing while my husband rolls his eyes hahaha. I have to admit I did intend for the kilig to be the takeaway from that fic. I'm so so beyond glad you liked it <3 It's hard to believe that fic was written for kataang week last year and now this year's kataang week is almost upon us! I'm so excited to be FED (and also scrambling to finish writing and editing haha)!

1. Currently my favourite fic of yours is "I Think We're Alone Now." It's funny, everyone feels in character, and I'm excited to see what happens next!
12. I've reread "The Three Caballeros (And Della)!" and some chapters of Indiquack.
2. Speaking of Indiquack, my favourite chapter so far would be "Ground Control to Della Duck." So many great things about it. If I remember correctly, Webby, Lena, and Violet end up in like a Jumanji type board game and appear out of it in the middle of Della smoking weed. pretty funny. and then when the boys catch her. yeah, its a good chapter and I think this was the first thing I ever read by you.
1. Thank you so much!! I really love writing that one. I just love writing the adult characters be able to do adult things when the kids aren’t around. Someone like Della should be able to let loose and have fun with her friends every now and then. And always happen to add more Fendra stuff cause frankly Gandra deserves more love! As for what happens next; gonna have some more DuckTales characters make their cameos and this:

One of my favorite tropes ever is when an adventure is going on and/or happens off-screen and DuckTales did that a lot so I wanted to do that! And yes! Their adventure was indeed inspired by Jumanji (except it’s called Quack-A-Rooney!) I did that little bit of meta humor where Della recalls an adventure she and Donald had when they were kids was similar to Webby’s cause DuckTales is a reboot and Jumanji had its reboot! Also! I really wanted to imply that Della and Donald’s adventures were like the 80s cartoon and Webby saying “A baby elephant” was a reference to my first ever DuckTales media I ever watched, the DuckTales Movie. I just thought that line was so funny as a kid
And funny enough, the boys catching Della smoking weed was the inspiration for the entire story. I was joking around with my bro while we’re getting high of course saying that the boys catching Della getting high
I think we originally joked that Dewey and Louie would be like “Oh boy that means we’re allowed to get high too!” while Huey would be like “Oh you must’ve heard about the legalization of marijuana” and then Della would respond with “Weed’s legal now, huh? Cool.”

But I guess for #1 - The Grinder-Meet-Cute trilogy was so fascinating to read to see all the variations on the theme, Soon which was just the best way to wake up every day for so many days, Unprofessional Services which was just so pitch perfectly chaotic?

the grindr trilogy was fun - I had a vague idea of how I wanted each version to play out, but started with David & Patrick because it'd been so long that I'd written them that I needed to be sure I still could. If I couldn't, the entire premise was at stake! Once I'd written that fic, I had the structure I wanted for each fic and the approx word count because I wanted them all to feel familiar, very much the same, but different.
God, Soon was really quite unhinged of me! Looking back, I don't know how I managed 37 100-word chapters of pwp lol
