idk guys but the urgency I’m getting from q!Bad’s 4D chess moves lately is making me concerned. he is usually calm and collected when orchestrating stuff but the past few days has shown the opposite, he’s acting quickly

he even blatantly said that he’s trying to help q!Cellbit asap- because they are close friends, he feels responsible to help, but also because he was “relying on cellbit’s mental state to be stable for what could happen” which is…. really worrying to say?? and today he rushed to drop baghera on bagi’s doorstep and have them talk because “we need to rely on our friends. somewhat.”

It’s very obvious q!Bad is trying his best to hurry up a possible q!Cellbit solution + attempt to unite his friends before the 4th.

Personally? I’m thinking the urgency is because his help is needed right now, and past the 4th he won’t be available to help anymore- and knows it, so he needs to do as much as possible now. and he would’ve liked q!Cellbit to be the mentally sound one if he can’t be. methinks down in purgatory he will go one-track mind to save the eggs, and based off the things he’s saying….

“What happens when those you care about get in your way…?”

“I lacked commitment, but I won’t anymore.”

“Even if I have to kill every single person on the island to get the eggs back”

“It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to cut loose”

“I don’t think you guys (the eggs) are gonna be happy with me when it’s all over…”

….feels like clear foreshadowing that he might go on an insane murdering-his-friends spree or something if everything goes horribly wrong. today he basically told q!Bagi that it could happen too. or alternatively this is all a fake out, and he tragically self-sacrifices? idk yall!!! either way I’m terrified!!

I led a meeting today and I started it off with "I am very nervous please be patient with me" and everyone was so gracious and laughed it off but THEN afterwards three people stayed behind to tell me what a good job I did and they appreciated my kindness and compassion while leading. I am getting a good grade in leading meetings, something that is normal to want and possible to achieve (apparently).

I made my box of treats for the mail carriers a couple weeks back after a game:

And they have been taking treats!!! They like the Pepperidge Farms cookies and the Gatorade best. If someone took all the cookies, the others will take Chewy bars s'mores flavor. We almost ran out of Gatorade this week so I bought orange Gatorade and they like that much better than blue Gatorade. I tried to get a variety of snacks that included gluten free and protein but these dudes just want chessman haha. It's funny finding out people's tastes in food this way. I realize this entire thing is absolutely WASPy suburban Facebook mom coded of me but they do seem to enjoy it and it's always nice to do something for the brave men and women in blue (the US postal service). I think I might continue after the holidays or at least make sure there is water and Gatorade out everyday. My parents have been putting out fruit from our trees too. We had fuyu persimmons a couple weeks ago but they just put out a whole bunch of tangerines, which are probably easier to manage as a mail carrier haha.

December is turning out okay. Winter is full of horrors and familial minefields and many things both in the world and in my life are bad but there always nice things too!!

#unfortunately while walking the dog i realized that if i do TOO good a job at leading meetings they might make me MC the all staff meeting #fear. #but i think they're looking for someone calm to lead the all-staff bc the last one was so bad someone got put on administrative leave #AND it's my birthday next monday and my mom asked what i wanted and i said hushpuppies and she was like oh hell yeah #i mean she was also like you need a protein and a veggie but the important part is i get hushpuppies and i get introduce my uncle to #hushpuppies AND my mom is thrilled at the idea of making a proper southern dinner #life could be and has been worse. maybe this month we go out strong to make up for the rest of the year #fresno oilers.txt

It takes two and a half knocks for the door in front of you to open, and for you to be pulled inside of the room with a squeal a little too loud for the close quarters of the dorms. Two and a half, because your knuckles are literally making contact with the door when it opens, and the sound ends up cut off and weird.

Nearly as soon as you’re pulled inside, the door behind you is all but slammed shut and you’re pulled close to Yunho. You can’t help the laugh that leaves your mouth when he looks at you, excited and happy. “Hi,” you manage to get out. Yunho grins back at you.

“Hey,” he says, then presses his lips to your forehead. You almost want to hum at the feeling. “Who let you in?”

“Yeosang,” you respond, letting Yunho place another kiss on your eyebrow. You squint your eye as he moves to your temple. “He said you owe him one.”

Yunho scoffs and you smile. One of his hands tangles with yours, the other on one side of your face. You look at him for a while, lost in the hearts in his eyes and the curve of his cheeks and the slope of his nose, but he doesn’t seem to mind. “How was the concert? Good?”

“Great,” Yunho says, stepping impossibly closer to you. Your back hits his door, and you realize you haven’t seen any part of his room except this door since you’ve been here. “We can talk about it later, though. Missed you.”

“Oh,” you murmur, feeling something familiar rush up through you. Yunho nods, a little like he’s waiting for you to catch up. Your face feels hot.

“Yeah,” he says. He pushes closer and you untangle your fingers, loop both of your arms around his shoulders. Instinct. “I’m gonna kiss you now, ‘kay?”

“Okay,” you say.

“Okay,” he says.

And he does. It’s sweet, and so Yunho; the pressure of his lips and the way he holds you. Gently, but out of care. His thumbs draw indiscernible shapes on your hipbones. And you missed him too – the last few weeks have been texts and FaceTimes – but you didn’t think you missed him this much. Didn’t think you needed him near you this bad. 

You feel him smile against your lips and match it, easy, until both of you are grinning and pliant in each other’s hold.
