SAGAU but with a lazy and always sleepy imposter!creator!reader
Tumblr media
reader who is always sleepy and doesn't want to move a muscle. it's like even moving a part of their body is similar to working out in the gym for an hour.
not narcolepsy, reader just doesn't really care and is very lazy to even give two flying fucks to the world
reader doesn't give a shit even if a war breaks out, sleep is life, sleep is important
Tumblr media
your genshin characters are always aware that you somehow manage to fall asleep in the middle of the game. well of course, they find it cute
you would play for an hour, then they would hear you yawn, and your soft quiet snores comes next
they love the sounds you create when you sleep, and it also warms their heart to think that you're having a good sleep
it went to the point where aside from building you a statue, they also crafted the most comfortable bed they could ever make. it is created solely for you
so when your imposter descended to your world, they were very happy. they couldn't wait to show you what they have crafted, they also couldn't wait to see how you sleep
it goes without saying that they were slightly disappointed that your imposter didn't really... use the bed they made
like do they even sleep? but their creator loves sleeping right? so why aren't you sleeping?
so when you were first dropped into your own world right infront of your imposter who was seated on a throne, you weren't really shocked. you just hugged your pillow tighter that just mysteriously came with you into this world
even though the archons that you are very familiar with surrounded you, you didn't really give any care
you yawned and made eye contact with each one of the archons, you blinked your sleepy eyes at them to which they reciprocated with a hostile glare
well whatever. though, the ground you are sitting on is very cold! perfect temperature! you suddenly felt sleepy and before Ei can grab you, you laid down on the ground and sleep
after all, sleep is more important, you will just deal with the problems later!
Ei was shocked, very shocked! did you just ignore their presence and continue your sleep!?
oh, but wait, sleep?
oh my archons!
she almost killed their divine creator!
somehow, they already have a feeling that the one sleeping peacefully on the ground is their true divine creator
so who tf is sitting on the throne?
"seize them!" ei commanded to her troops. they all marched inside the palace very loudly, which earned the soldiers a glare from every living archon inside the room
"our divine creator is sleeping, do it quietly!"
"...?" all the soldiers were confused. but their divine creator is clearly awake and is sitting on their throne?
then their gazes all moved to the sleeping person on the ground as if waking them up is considered blasphemy, as if waking them up is the highest sin they can commit and worthy of being beheaded
and so they all quietly yeeted the imposter and quietly watched the archons move their true divine creator to the bed they painstakingly crafted
as soon as your body touched the soft and comfortable material, you let out a satisfied sigh and the whole teyvat rejoiced. they have finally found their true divine creator!
they all listened to your quiet snores and when you woke up hours later, every citizens of teyvat including the abyss celebrated the descension of their true creator.
well, you were too lazy to attend your own banquet so they removed the throne and replaced it with your bed just so you could attend.
a happy creator leads to a happy life!

Protector of Teyvat (a troll hell-bent on reviving everyone just for fun) P—3
Isekai’d reader who is hell-bent on reviving everyone using your cheat code as the protector of Teyvat. With great power comes great benefits! Teyvat population stonks
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: asmoday is the unknown god, reader also grants gnosis and visions, isekai, slight sagau in the future chapters, op reader
Summary: You are just a regular human being living your best life on Earth, collecting husbandos and waifus in Genshin Impact when all of a sudden you were isekai'd to Teyvat, but not as a traveler, a creator, or an NPC. You are a very close friend of both Celestia and the Unknown God, who is known as the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles. You also hold a very important position of the highest order because unbeknownst to the general populace, you are the Protector of Teyvat from the outside forces.
And so imagine the Archon's faces when their dead friends suddenly came back to life just so they can accompany you together with Aether and Paimon on a journey to spit on the Celestia's face
Timeline in Teyvat when you got transmigrated: Before any wars happened. Zhongli is probably sucking on a dragon pacifier or something if that even exists.
Warning: curse words, slight ooc, lore flying over the ocean and going for a swim, author removed the lore from the irminsul so act like you know nothing of it, i'm putting the lore in the cheese grater

“As what I am trying to say, Lady Y/N… is quite… a peculiar person.”
Jean sighed and scratched her temples, beginning to feel stressed. "Stop going in circles and get to the point, Kaeya."
About half an hour has passed since Kaeya first started talking, and it does not seem like he is going to get straight to the point any time soon.
Paimon flew closer to you, who was visibly bored as you sat on a chair, whispering into your ears.
“Paimon thinks you broke him...”
You folded your arms and looked at the man who had been struggling to explain for about ten minutes with a quiet chuckle. His eyes met yours, and he instantly averted his gaze, an embarrassed expression on his face.
And even Lisa, who is standing next to Jean, has been staring at you for quite some time. Her gaze was strong despite the pleasant smile on her face.
“You flatter me, Captain Kaeya.”
Jean arched an eyebrow at you, seemingly perplexed.
“After all, I am just a normal human being trying to make a living.”
She blinked, trying to process everything that is going on. If you're only something like a traveling merchant, why is Kaeya acting as if he's forced to sing praises about you?
The entire room fell silent, and all eyes were fixed on you.
With a straight face, you answered calmly, "I sell visions and use fried eggs to resurrect the dead.”
The room fell into an awkward silence as Kaeya coughed so loudly that he flopped down on the ground and decided to become one with the floor.
"This is quite a change of events," Lisa said with a beautiful frown as she glanced at Kaeya, who was suffering in silence.
Jean shook her head in utter confusion as she pointed at Kaeya, "Just why is he acting like this...?"
“Oh!” Paimon exclaimed in realization of Jean's question. She rubbed the side of her head then stroke her chin, as if she didn't know how to explain everything.
“Uhm— uh… Paimon's not sure who this Crepus guy is, but when Y/N threw a fried egg somewhere, he poof out of the ground and insisted on going to his son instead of joining us to meet you here.”
"He even wanted Kaeya to come along, but this man had already left before we realized it!" Paimon yelled and pointed towards Kaeya.
Jean raised a brow in confusion, and Paimon spoke once again, "It’s not Paimon’s fault, I swear! He suddenly appeared, and Kaeya looked like he had seen a ghost... Paimon is guessing that he is someone important that Y/N randomly brought back to life to scold Kaeya for touching her."
“Oh, my archons…”
Lisa turned to stare at Jean, her eyes wide with confusion.
“If I know… Crepus is Master Diluc’s father.”
Lisa gasped, and Kaeya seemed to be dead with his face plastered to the ground.
“Oh?” You shrugged your shoulders, glancing out the window, unconcerned with what was going on around you.
Jean sighed, obviously disturbed. "How is this even possible? I'm sure even the archons can't—"
“Lady Y/N is not an archon…”
“I’m afraid I don’t quite follow, Kaeya.”
“Lady Y/N is someone who is much higher than the archons…”
Lisa appeared to be captivated with the new knowledge and immediately turned to gaze at you with amazement. You, on the other hand, paid no attention to her and continued to stare out the window absentmindedly.
Will Timmie make a great archon?
What if I give Timmie a Pyro Vision to roast his pigeons?
If I revive little floatie’s friend, will I have two little Venti?
But what if little floatie's friend starts to feel embarrassed when he sees the huge statue that looks like him standing in the middle of Mondstadt?
If I slap Dain with a fried egg to remove the curse, will he get mad? I’m pretty sure I’d lose my arm before my hand can even come close…
“Someone… higher than the archons?” Jean mumbled to herself.
Paimon huffed, placing her hands on her hips and said confidently, "She is the Protector after all!"
Lisa's eyes twinkled with delight and respect at the new revelation. Back in Akademiya, she unintentionally read a forbidden book about Teyvat's Protector. It was believed to have been authored by the first Dendro Archon, but the book has since been lost or stolen.
There are no other records of you save for that single book, which she is keeping so discreetly that she even went to Mondstadt to keep it safe, despite the fact that the book has reduced her lifespan in half. But unexpectedly, the book mysteriously vanished.
It was recorded that the God of Wisdom has only encountered you once, when they had ascended one of the seven seats, and there were no more chances of meeting you again because you've been protecting Teyvat in the shadows. You've been keeping Teyvat so safe that you have no time to even mingle with them.
"However, I have a sneaking suspicion that the Celestia is trying to keep her highness away from the seven archons, particularly the Anemo Archon,” —  this was one of the numerous lines written by the God of Wisdom that Lisa will never forget having to read.
It was only a one-time meeting, but it was described that all the archons were overjoyed to catch a glimpse of you. There must not be any records preserved or knowledge of you because doing so will provoke the heavenly principles. It's most likely that this is the reason why Sumeru was dealt such a devastating blow back then. And with such a wealth of information, Lisa is left wondering why she is still alive.
And now that the two of you even have the chance to meet, she considers herself to be one of the fortunate people in Teyvat to have the opportunity to speak with you face to face.
Jean cast a quick glance in the direction of the librarian, who has all of a sudden adopted a new attitude towards you. Now that she's thinking about it, she's curious to find out what information the librarian has about you.
"...before we came to the headquarters, there were at least three or four citizens who had been granted with a vision.” Kaeya shuddered.
“Kaeya’s speaking the truth! Even Paimon has lost count already! At this point, the entire Mondstadt could be dubbed as the nation of vision holders!”
Paimon's voice jolted you out of your daze, prompting you to respond, "...I thought we'd keep that a secret."
“Oh— right! Paimon’s sorry!”
You laughed, softly waiving your hands as a sign that everything was fine. You looked at Jean, who was suddenly staring at you with such reverence that she seemed to want to grovel before you.
You smiled at her. “Anyways, are we done here?”
"Ah, yes," Jean said awkwardly, looking over at Aether, who was staring at you attentively, "About the storm terror attack."
"Y/N and the Anemo Archon supported me," Aether said with a blank expression and a shrug of his shoulders.
“Oh goodness… you’re traveling with the protector and even met the Anemo Archon?” Lisa asked, her mouth slightly wide in surprise.
“Anemo Archon, Anemo Archon, ah— my little floatie is just so adorable. Maybe I should travel the worlds with him after resigning…” You muttered to yourself.
Aether and the other people in the room have all of a sudden become alerted, and their attention is focused on you. Even Kaeya suddenly straightened his posture, only to see you staring peacefully outside the windows.
After resigning!? Travel alone with the Anemo Archon!? Jealous, jealous, jealous—
The voices of Celestia and Asmoday can be heard wailing somewhere in the distance in the sky. They are most likely devising a plot to put you behind bars at this very moment.
It shouldn't come as a surprise if the Anemo Archon suddenly have a club of haters.
You started humming a tune as you became aware of the peaceful atmosphere that was beginning to arise.
You snorted and mockingly said, "Oh? What exactly am I seeing? We've barely known each other for a day, and you're already obsessed with me?"
They all choked in embarrassment, turning away to hide their flushed cheeks.
You cocked your head to the side, amused, as they all began babbling silly reasons just to cover themselves up.
“W—well, it’s not everyday that you get to meet someone like— like—”
“Paimon thinks Y/N feels comfy to be around! Paimon’s not obsessed at all!”
Aether quickly agreed with a nod.
“Right, right, alright. If you people are still interested in discussing the stormterror attack, then I'll just leave you to it,” You gave them a soft smile as you floated right up from your seat and waved your hand before making the decision to vanish with a poof in order to bestow even more visions and cause more chaos.
"Don't look for me, I'm going to meet someone," They heard your voice echoing inside their thoughts, and it made them feel even greater animosity towards the person you are talking about.
“We don’t even want to talk about stormterror attack anymore!”
"…sigh. I wanted to listen more of her voice," Lisa grumbled, and Jean feels the same.
“She must’ve felt uncomfortable, she doesn’t want people talking about her after all.” Aether clicked his tongue in displeasure before running out the room with Paimon to find you.
"Just how am I going to explain everything to Diluc?" Kaeya chuckled bitterly as he slumped tiredly in the chair.
Thank the Gods you got away before they could get their paws on you. But it doesn't mean they won't pursue you.
Tumblr media
“Woah! The birds are flocking to you!" Timmie talked happily, obviously amazed as he watched you almost completely covered in birds as you leaned on the parapet to watch the water race by.
"They're rather... heavy." You whispered, attempting to remain still while the birds that usually flew away at the sight of people treated you like a tree.
"Oh yeah! You're like God!"
You gave him a small grin as you looked down at him. "What makes you think that?"
“Well, I've heard stories about Lord Barbatos being so close to birds that he'd even fly alongside them! You're exactly like him!”
The birds chirped happily, rubbing their heads against your cheek as if they wanted to be complimented.
You snorted, trying to image Barbatos flying alongside the birds. You could say that your mind created a pretty humorous image.
Venti sat on top of the statue of the Anemo Archon, blushing profusely at what the wind had relayed to him. He's too sober enough to listen to your conversation, and he wishes he'd gone straight to the tavern to get drunk instead of stalking you.
But he wouldn't pass up an opportunity to see you.
"You seem to love pigeons a lot; do you wish to fly with them as well?"
“Yeah… I believe it would be cool, and maybe I'll be able to find daddy..."
You agreed with a little nod, calmly watching the river flow gently while Timmie stares in awe at how the sun rays were focused towards you, creating a lovely scene.
"Who knows, maybe you'll be reunited with your father soon," You spoke while remaining motionless in your position and gazing at the rushing river.
Timmie nodded, little relieved by your remarks. He has always waited, and he will never get tired of waiting.
“Hm?”
“What is it?”
You ignored Timmie as you cast a glance at the gates, sensing that at least four or five individuals were approaching you.
"I'm afraid our little bonding has to come to an end here."
Timmie pouted and mumbled cutely, "But me and my pigeons like you."
You amusedly ruffled his hair as you giggled at his antics.
"How about you come to me when you're lonely?" You smiled as you took his hands in your own and placed a glowing Anemo vision in his palm.
And then maybe when someone tries to hurt your pigeons, you can airbend the shit out of their lungs.
Timmie gaped, his gaze drawn to the vision in his hands and your bright, smiling face. He began stammering, his brain attempting to absorb everything that was happening at the moment.
Oh my god— oh my god— was all he could think of.
“Lady Y/N!” Jean and the others said in unison.
"See you soon," you said quietly, ignoring the people who were approaching you at an incredible pace, giving Timmie one last pat on the head before disappearing to slap someone with a fried egg somewhere else.
Because seriously, why is everyone so clingy to you when it comes to you? Can't a protector have a little peace in their lives?
Timmie stood motionless, a vision in his hands while his mind went haywire.
Daddy, daddy, I think I just met a God!
Tumblr media
“Protecto—”
Before they even had a chance to finish their sentence, a fried egg came flying at them at a high rate of speed, and the runny egg yolk came splattering into their face.
You mumbled something under your breath while opening your eyes with a weary expression and blinking several times in an effort to clear the haze from your vision. They just can't seem to give you some space, even if it's just for a moment, can they not? You're literally trying to get some sleep!
The abyss mage who had just been smacked by a fried egg started to emit light as though the curse was in the process of being broken. Something shattered inside of their soul as they shed the last bit of monstrosity that had clung onto them for hundreds of years.
You found a comfortable position on the grass and leaned back against the tree. And off to the side of your vision, you can make out a woman with blond hair who is dressed in white and blue.
You fixed your attention on her, and by the expression on her face, you could see how genuinely surprised she was by what she had witnessed. Her eyes gleamed with much interest and reverence as they locked onto yours.
You immediately felt an inside sigh of frustration when you realize that you’re going to have another traveler who will try to cling onto you.
Lumine suddenly stepped up, and her voice is just as endearing as that of her twin brother.
"It is an honor to meet our savior," she said. It was a display of respect, but you are too sharp to even believe those words. You are their savior, but that does not imply that they are obligated to treat you with the utmost respect.
You responded with a faint hum as you quickly pulled an abyss mage close to you to use as a pillow, unaware to the jealous stares that Lumine was giving you.
“Are you here to meet with your twin?”
“I am not… ready to face him,” Lumine whispered softly while her face distorted into an agonized expression, as if she were thinking back on the times she spent with her twin brother.
"Help him with Dvalin," you said, your cheek resting on the back of your hand. You almost laughed when you saw her slightly frown at you. They were the ones that made Dvalin act like that, thus they should be the ones to clean up their mess.
“But—”
"I'm posing as your twin's guide right now, and if this storm terror problem isn't fixed by the end of the week, how am I meant to leave Mondstadt to search for and save the people of your nation?"
"I absolutely want to retire, sigh..." you mumbled, squeezing the abyss mage's cheeks in frustration.
"I suppose you have a point," Lumine answered, nodding her head in understanding. Maybe she can even take a break and check how her twin brother is doing in this world.
"Wonderful, you finally understand!" You replied enthusiastically, and your smile is so dazzling that Lumine feels like she's staring directly into the sun.
"Then, after cleaning up the mess that Celestia made, the two of you can leave Teyvat and continue on your journey."
“Perhaps after you've completed your journey in this world, I can go get some wine, retire, eh... maybe mingle with the humans and spend time with Venti, and...” You started rambling, not noticing how Lumine's face darkened at your words, suggesting that they should leave this world and continue their journey in another.
And Venti? That Barbatos? Lumine fumed whilst you are clueless that your little floatie had earned another hater.
And what if she refuses to leave? What if she desires to know more about you? What if Aether and her decide to bring you along with them on their journey across the worlds?
Far above in the clouds, the Celestia added another name to one of their most hated lists.
Barbatos
Archons
Travelers
You coughed and paused, embarrassed to disclose your life plans after retiring. Lumine, on the other hand, appears to be listening attentively, as though unconcerned with the fact that you're essentially begging them to leave.
Sighing heavily, you decided to put your plan of slapping them with a fried egg in the back of your mind and work on properly removing their curse.
Lumine kept an eye on you, observing how sincere you've become in your treatment of her allies. As your look became more serious, your hand smoothly glided to touch them without even a trace of revulsion.
Perhaps the unknown God isn’t going to be the one who will trap them in this world this time. Maybe you will be the new reason, and she will willingly stay just to uncover your mystery.
Aether, my twin brother, how about we postpone our journey for a while? Surely you felt the same way when you first met her?

SAGAU but with Scheming Creator!Reader Impostor AU [PT. 4]
Note on this chapter: manipulative!reader!creator is downgrading themselves just for shit and giggles
Tumblr media
The pursuit went on for such a long time that you could nearly make out the silhouette of the sun in the distance. As soon as those who were chasing you received notice directly from the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, they immediately gave up and stopped their search of you.
You do suppose that they are all present at the place where Zhongli is enjoying himself while slowly and sweetly tending to their beloved creator.
It wouldn't even be a surprise if they started chasing after you once more at this point. But not with the intent to destroy you; rather, to capture you and adore you.
You did notice that Zhongli caught the crystal tear that you let out when you were preparing to leave the place, so it wouldn't be hard for him to convince everyone that the creator who is enjoying their time in your own throne is a fake.
Zhongli may give off the impression that he is a nice and compassionate man; however, this outward demeanor belies a murderous nature that he possesses.
Even if he has the ability to disguise himself as a mortal, he will never be able to conceal the fact that he went on a murderous rampage during the archon war.
You can't help but be reminded of the way he looked at you that night, and it's probably only a matter of time until he makes another attempt to see you once more.
“Hah. What a possessive bunch,” You mumbled under your breath as you tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
You let out a contented sigh as you take in the sound of the birds chirping and begin to hum a tune as the grass gently caresses your feet as you stroll.
The rush of adrenaline that you experienced while you were always on the verge of dying away has not yet completely left your system.
The landscape in and around Liyue is breathtaking. In point of fact, it is the excellent nation in which to frolic about under the bright stars while being hunted like a rabbit.
Hours passed and the sun is almost blinding as you stood once again on top of the Guyun Stone Forest.
You are quite a distance away from the Crux Fleet, which is in the middle of the ocean; even so, this is precisely where you need to be.
Even if you have the ability to immediately teleport to Inazuma, you are not so ungenerous as to deny them the opportunity of offering you a very friendly greeting.
Exciting, isn't it? Once you arrive, will you be greeted with warm pleasantries, or will the sharp and icy blades stab you in the chest first?
From your vantage point on the stone, you surveyed the area below in the ship and noticed that they were making preparations to depart.
You are aware that Beidou is a rather laid-back individual, but there is no doubt that the other people who are boarding the ship are already aware of an imposter who is traveling across the nation of Liyue.
Thus, you used some of your spare time to search for materials that could be used to fashion something that could conceal your upper body while also not drawing too much attention to itself.
Although you prefer to be undisguised just for the sake of taunting everyone, you still need to reach Inazuma.
You can’t have them throwing you off the ship now, can you? Or maybe you do? There are countless possibilities, and all of them are very exciting to experience.
Simply taking in the sight of their enchantingly furious faces is enough to satiate your insatiable need for amusement.
You let out a bored sigh as you tugged the veil down slightly, just enough to cover your chin. At that moment, you caught a glimpse of Kazuha sitting by the edge, his stature facing you, his head slightly tilted upwards, and his eyes closed as if trying to enjoy the breeze coming to him before it disappeared.
He exudes an air of tranquility, much like Venti did in Windrise.
Your lips begin to twitch into a smile as an idea race through your head.
In an instant, you found yourself high above the clouds and falling directly towards the ship. Since you are aware that someone will catch you, you aren't really experiencing any fear at this point.
And someone really did.
The boy who had been sitting there quietly all of a sudden rose up and leaped up, giving the impression that he was actually aware of it and was very much ready to catch you.
The veil fluttered wildly, paired with the boy’s clothes dancing in the air because of the strong wind.
You could feel the anemo vision trembling and a wind coming from the boy swirling and grasping you.
All visions in the area resonated with your aura and blazed brilliantly, as if they were aware you were in danger.
You felt warm hands held your body, and the creaking sound of the wood reminded you that you had already landed.
There were a number of gasps that could be heard, and shortly after that, the sound of individuals speaking in low whispers started to permeate the surroundings. However, what attracted your attention was Beidou staring at the vision on her hips in a manner that indicated she was surprised to witness her vision reacting in such a way for the first time.
‘It appears that even the visions are strongly reacting to my presence,’ You thought to yourself, giving a sly grin behind your veil.
After what seemed like an eternity, all of the crew members of the crux were suddenly jolted out of their stupor and realized that someone had just literally dropped down into their ship from the sky.
They were about to approach you in hopes of interrogating you when Beidou lifted her hand to halt their movement and prevent them from questioning you.
Perhaps she too, is also curious of you.
Maybe if her vision hadn't been constrained by her clothing, it would have made its way over to you by now.
“I haven’t seen the captain’s friend smile like that— I mean, he does smile, but his eyes are literally about to form into a heart shape!”
“Captain even forbids us to get close to the mysterious woman. Must be a big shot, huh?”
“Or maybe it’s someone close to the captain. Well, whatever, just don’t disturb the lady. Get back to work!”
Kazuha gave you a warm smile, who was pressed up against his chest. His hands are firmly gripping you, not the least bit considering releasing their hold on you.
He felt the dull vision stored deep within his pockets burned for a moment as if trying to get out before the feeling went away once he finally caught you. This does nothing but strengthen his belief that you are the person he has been searching for all along.
"The winds have changed," he whispered tenderly as he started to move carefully to the back of the ship where there are fewer people, the genuine smile on his face not wavering even the tiniest bit.
You let out a quiet laugh, and the sound was almost like wind chimes as it reached his ears.
You gave a very tiny cocking of your head to the side, and Kazuha could almost picture your face painted with a kind smile as it always was.
Even though your face is hidden by the veil, he cannot help but feel a fluttering in his chest whenever he considers the possibility that your eyes, which he imagines to be breathtakingly lovely, are fixated on him.
“How so?”
After placing you on the ship's wooden rail, he took your hand in his and planted a passionate kiss on the back of your hand.
What a bold kid.
“Because you’re now home, my creator.”
You gave him a sideways glance while giggling quietly at his antics before responding, "I shall remember this first welcome I have received." Kazuha blinked, appearing to be puzzled. “May I ask why?”
"You were the very first person to greet me when I arrived in this world," You spoke in a quiet voice, and he could detect a trace of melancholy and yearning in your voice.
And finally, you can see that the smile that was plastered on Kazuha's face from the very beginning has begun to waver, almost as if he has come to some kind of understanding.
That’s right, no one would welcome you, not if you were being accused of being an imposter.
You kept a close eye on him, noticing how his hands clenched into a fist as he observes your tired expression. Even so, he did not display any signs of anger and instead move his gaze at your hands, which appeared to be shaking slightly.
He stood there watching you sigh, without moving as your hands moved to clasp his and slowly uncurled his fist.
"It's not good to harbor hatred in one's heart," You opened his hand and made small circles on his palm, as if attempting to calm him down. "You know that better than I do, Kazuha."
"You are too good for this world, my divine creator," he mumbled, concentrating on the sensation in his palm.
You laughed as you realized Beidou was listening in on your talk from behind a pillar.
You let out a snort. Does she think you can't spot her?
"Teyvat was simply one of the countless stars I have created; it is far from flawless, but it will always be my home."
Kazuha's attention was captured by you as he waited eagerly to hear your tale.
You turned your head to gaze at him from below as you brought your hands to rest on his head and lovingly patted the soft locks.
"Just as I desired to feel a sense of belonging in this world, I also hoped that my creations would feel the same way and make this world their home—" Kazuha misunderstood your heavy sigh as a sign of melancholy. But you were only trying to remember the garbage nonsense that the Akademiya scholars had written about you.
You are just that bored and feel like sharing that crap with one of your precious characters.
You spent your nights reading a lot of books about yourself in this world, and every single one of those books is full of meaningless rubbish. Nevertheless, you will settle for whatever you can get your hands on.
If you include a touch of angst and tragedy in your tale, you can instantly raise it to the level of art that it truly deserves to be.
However, for Kazuha and Beidou, who are currently listening in on the story, this is more than a passing feeling of sadness. They have already started to feel depressed in your place.
"When I first created Teyvat, I always made certain that the living beings in the place I created were always happy. They desired something to help them protect themselves while I am not present, so I provided them a vision with a portion of my power."
The Akademiya scholars really are imaginative.
You came to a stop for a moment when you noticed Beidou not far away, caressing the vision on her hip as if it were the finest gift she had ever received.
"I granted and they received; as long as their faces light up with a smile, then I am pleased."
"It's just— I wish I had the strength to go on. I can still do it, but I'll be too weak to even make an appearance. As a result, I vanished from the world to continue meeting their demands,"
Beidou's expression hardened as she came to the realization that while their real creator is experiencing the drawbacks of granting them the power to defend themselves, the fake creator who descended a long time ago is enjoying the benefits that are not supposed to be theirs.
You carried on despite the fact that neither of the other two responded to what you said. "I returned to this world not too long ago," You said as you appeared to be reminiscing about something as you gazed up at the sky.
“It seems like it’s time for me to take a step back and rest,” You laughed to lighten the mood, but the two people who were listening to your story did not experience any sense of relief as a result of your humor. After listening to your story, their hearts felt even heavier, to the point where it was practically difficult for them to breathe normally.
You— take a step back and rest? Does this mean that they will never be able to see you again once you have made the decision to eventually depart from the world that you have created?
Beidou was unable to stand it any longer and eventually emerged from her hiding position. As she approached you, she peered at you closely with her brows furrowed and took several significant strides forward.
“If they ever apologize to you, will you forgive them?”
You withdrew your hand and placed it on your lap, "Why would I forgive them?"
Beidou and Kazuha blinked at the same time.
"I will never be able to blame them. It is because I was lacking in some way and did not meet their expectations that they even chose to replace me with someone else," As you spoke, you let out a sigh and tugged off the veil that was concealing your upper body. At last, they were able to see the gentle smile of their actual creator, which was directed at them.
How really unfortunate. But they have no right to feel sad, not when you are the one bearing all the suffering of this world, but your people never acknowledged it and instead continued to worship someone who doesn't even do batshit.
Their divine creator is just far too merciful and forgiving of their wrong doings. They are simply far too wonderful to remain in this world, and they do not deserve the favors and blessings you are bestowing upon them.
"Perhaps, I am not a good creator. The people that live in this world deserve the best, and if they can find what they're seeking in the creator that they've been protecting, then I can't help but just be glad for them.”
If self-downgrading is an achievement, then you probably would’ve receive a customized name card for yourself by now.
Kazuha struggled to find his voice before eventually expressing himself. "That is not true; we are the ones who do not deserve you, my divine creator."
"They may have turned their backs on you, but I will stick by your side till the very end of time."
"Kazuha, you are destined for something much more meaningful. If you continue to follow me, you will only harm yourself." You made a motion with your head to indicate that you did not agree, and the youngster quickly kneeled down in front of you.
You heaved a sigh and patted his head. What a well-behaved youngster.
He is someone who obeys his creator solely for the purpose of protecting them, and not like the archons, for the purpose of having the creator all to themselves.
You gave Beidou just a fleeting look, almost as if you were about to ask for her help, and she almost laughed at how adorable you are. It would seem that their creator is even capable of experiencing discomfort when confronted with an act of genuine kindness.
Or, it's possible that you've become so used to being attacked that you've forgotten what it's like to be loved.
The moment Kazuha glanced up at you with his begging eyes, you instinctively covered them with your palm.
“The sun is bright; you might hurt your eyes.”
“I think it is lovely,” Kazuha said with a smile while looking at you even more intently with a thoughtful gaze.
In response, you let out a chuckle as you ruffled his hair in a playful manner. Clearly comfortable, Kazuha let out a contented sigh as he slowly dozed off with his head resting on your lap.
You started mentally counting down from ten while humming a melody to yourself and playing with the lone wandering samurai’s hair in the meantime.
It's only a matter of time before the people who have been hunting you catch up with you in the end.
Teyvat was whispering, you sense the ground to be rumbling.
It seems as though an angry archon is getting closer and closer, and while this won't have any negative effects on you, it will most certainly have consequences for the individuals he rules.
‘You really did not disappoint me, Morax.’
To think that he would breach the contract he had with the Tsaritsa only for you, and that he would personally obtain his gnosis back just so that he could see you once more is far more amazing.
Amber eyes that shone brightly and were filled with fixation peered directly at you from a great distance away. The Geo Archon is willing to go to war with another nation simply to be able to have you in his arms.
It's likely that you went too far with your performance, and as a result, you may have caused the Geo Archon to lose their final shred of sanity. But that would just make things even more interesting, right?
You turned your head to stare at the sky, giving him your disapproving glance in response to his obsession on you.
Morax became more cautious with his grip on his weapon as soon as he noticed you looking at him in a manner that conveyed such dissatisfaction.
Simply for your own sake, he has taken this extreme measure. The nation of the Electro Archon is a considerably more hostile one, and although he acknowledges that he also failed his duty to defend you against his people, this does not mean that he will not seize the opportunity to amend his wrongdoings once given the opportunity.
The ground began to violently shake, and even the water in the ocean started to get restless. The area was quickly filled with the sound of a crowd that had gathered along the shoreline.
He is so desperate to get his hands on you that he has even sought the assistance of his adepti.
“Shit— prepare to set sail!” Beidou exclaimed.
You caught his glance, and although if on the surface you appear to be dissatisfied, on the inside you can't help but chuckle at the sight of his face.
"My divine creator…" Because of the look you were giving him, his heart aches, and in an effort to soothe himself, he absentmindedly touched the weapon that you had given him.
You don't have any resentment towards him, do you? As long as you are still alive, he has a chance to make amends and win your forgiveness.
He is eager to do whatever it takes to keep you entertained only so that you will look at him once more.
Morax fixed his hard gaze firmly on you while murmuring something to himself in a dark voice, "...allow me to be selfish."

Summary: You are just a regular human being living your best life on Earth, collecting husbandos and waifus in Genshin Impact when all of a sudden you were isekai'd to Teyvat, but not as a traveler, a creator, or an NPC. “T-The hilichurls… turned into humans?” Because of what she had just seen, Amber's eyes were completely expanded, and you could almost get the impression that she was on the verge of exploding any moment now.
You find yourself thinking that it is understandable. After all, raising someone from the dead isn't something that happens very often; in fact, not even archons are able to do it.
You chuckled and smiled sarcastically at the three people who were staring at you in complete and utter disbelief.
You stood there with your arms crossed as you looked over at the hilichurls that had been transformed into humans with confused expressions adorning their faces.
"Oh wow…" You said while putting on a show of ignorance regarding what had just taken place. "What a miracle it is that they have been brought back to life!" You delighted everyone by clapping your hands.
"P-Paimon was very certain that it was Y/N who brought them back to life just now..." Paimon mumbled something to herself as she scratched the top of her head.
“Hm? That is ridiculous. I just smacked them across the face with a fried egg, see?" You answered as you moved closer to the hilichurls that had been converted into humans by slapping their faces with a fried egg that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
And as a matter of fact, a noticeable improvement could be seen in the appearance of the other people's skin after the fried egg had been applied to their faces. They let out a sigh of disgust as they observed the yolk splattered all over their faces.
"Paimon had no idea that a fried egg was capable of doing that..."
Aether shook his head at the innocence of his traveling buddy. It was perfectly clear that you were making light of the situation. At least now he is aware that you were telling the truth when you stated that you allowed the Anemo Archon to have a seat in the seven.
“This—” Amber opened her mouth to speak while simultaneously covered her mouth with her palm in shock. "This is really incredible news! You are able to give them a second chance at life!"
"What caused them to become humans?" Aether questioned while frowning in confusion.
You gave a light hum as you brought your hand up to pet him on the top of his head. "Perhaps your sister knows the answer you're looking for.”
“Our benefactor…” As soon as you turned your attention to them, they started talking, and Aether made a low rumbling sound.
You gave them a sideways glance while turning your head to the side since you thought it was likely that they were bewildered by the situation. Their final recollections would be of fighting for their homeland just before the curse took full impact.
They all got on one knee in front of you, which caused you to raise an eyebrow.
"Ah-ah, there's no need to be grateful to me. You probably aren't aware of this, but I'm a very awful person.” You said with a playful tone.
The people around you gave you a disapproving shake of the head as they expressed their dissatisfaction. Who in the devil would even believe a statement like that after what you have done?
“We were in such a painful dream— we are gratefu—"
You made a huffing sound while crossing your arms. "I find it extremely unpleasant when people thank me or express gratitude in any form. You deserve to live, no? I was only performing my duties at the time."
"Paimon speculates that Y/N is simply not accustomed to being thanked at...?"
You let out a sigh and shook your head in a deliberate manner. You looked down at them and they immediately thanked whichever gods were responsible for allowing them the opportunity to finally take a good look at the face of the one who had helped them.
They feel as though fortune was on their side because a God gazed at them with such kindness in their eyes, despite the fact that they were literally citizens from a nation that does not worship any gods.
"How can we possibly repay you...?"
You cocked your head to the side and hummed to yourself while you started to think.
“Brace yourselves.” You spoke.
“Wha—?”
"Oh, wait, here, have this." You smiled broadly as a variety of visions comprising a range of elements appeared seemingly out of thin air.
They did nothing but blink in bewilderment as they held the small vision in their hands, looking like toddlers who had been given machine guns.
At this very moment, Amber was on the verge of passing out. Witnessing a group of individuals all at once getting their visions is unsettling to say the least. It feels even more wrong to breathe the same air as you!
Oh, my archons, her life is not a sufficient payment to be able to witness such a once-in-a-lifetime event!
“Let’s all hang out once in awhile, hm? Don’t forget to say hello to Lulu for me!”
Aether raised a brow. Lulu?
With a wave of your hand, they vanished into thin air, and you sent them to a place where Lumine and the Abyss Order are currently staying.
To say that Lumine was horrified to the core when a group of humans suddenly appeared above the head of the abyss mage who was just talking to her would be an enormous understatement.
"Y-You can grant visions too!?" The scream that Paimon let out was so loud that it made you wince.
“Sorry!”
You indicated with a wave of your hand that everything was fine, and Paimon immediately let out a sigh of relief.
"Aether, do you know her, or is she a stranger?" Amber's lips were covered as she leaned in close to the man and mumbled something. In response, he gave a nod that conveyed something close to uncertainty.
You snorted as you extended your hand in front of Paimon and insisted that she give you, her hand. And as she did, a gnosis appeared in your hand.
"Oh, my dear archons!" Paimon reacted, fixating her gaze intently on the bright object that was floating directly above your palm.
"If we were to sell this, we could make a ton of Mora!"
“What—!?” Amber and Aether shouted at the same time.
You blinked and stroked your chin with your index finger as if you were considering what you had just heard. "If I remember correctly, there was a term for buy one and get one free. What if we double it?"
"No no no! Paimon is not even certain that there is a single person in Teyvat who can afford a gnosis! In addition to that, don't you think the other archons will feel uncomfortable about it?”
"Why should we worry about how they feel?" You huffed as you continued, "The one ruling Inazuma handed her gnosis to a friend, the one ruling Mondstadt doesn't even use it, and the one ruling Liyue will probably give up his gnosis in the near future.
"Well, if we're talking about the wealthiest individual in Teyvat right this minute..." You made a soft mumbling sound.
“Should we offer it for sale to the Tsaritsa? You smiled mischievously while cocking your head ever-so-slightly to the side.
As soon as you uttered that, an excruciating ringing sound immediately started up in your head. You gritted your teeth and squeezed one of your eyes shut.
“Y/N, are you okay?” You heard Aether’s worried voice.
"I thought we were each other's best friends! You should be aware that she wants a fight with me!” You can clearly hear Celestia nitpicking away inside of your head. As is her custom, she is highly dramatic.
“Well, it’s partly your fault that she wants to fight you.”
The three looked at you in surprise and astonishment as your choice of words came out of nowhere. To silence them, all you did was give them your whole attention while pressing a finger to your lips.
“Hmph…” You could hear her dejected voice.
“Oh hush, you have me. Just let them do their own thing for now.”
“Alright, but why are you selling a gnosis?”
"Creating a strategy for one's own survival is the first step toward leading a more fulfilling life," After having a good laugh, you promptly severed your connection with the Celestia before she could even begin to complain again.
“At least come visit us—!”
Oh, your closest friends and their overprotective tendencies when it comes to you. Why won't they just let you breathe and stop figuratively and physically clutching onto you for dear life?
"Your highness, who were you speaking with only a moment ago?" Amber stuttered, and for some reason, despite her outgoing nature, she found herself experiencing sudden feelings of shyness. I mean, really, how could you possibly hold that against her?
She hasn't even entertained the thought of speaking with an archon, and yet here she is having a conversation with someone who is significantly more powerful than the archons!
“Oh please, Y/N is fine,” you gave her a friendly smile and told her, “The Celestia is in full support of our business!”
They were all shocked beyond belief and let out a collective gasp.
As they imagined every people of Teyvat holding a gnosis, everyone in the room began to break out in a cold sweat at the back of their necks. You couldn't possibly be serious, could you? Surely you must have been joking. Right?
Tumblr media
You met three new people along the way, and the four of you set off on a journey to the city that is known for its freedom. They all came to an agreement that the information on your identity and the incident with the hilichurls should not be shared with anybody else.
You trailed closely behind them, periodically turning your head to take in the beautiful surroundings and the people who belonged to your little archon.
“Let me officially introduce the city of wind, dandelions, and freedom— Travelers under the protection of the Knights of Favonius — Welcome to Mondstadt!” Amber grinned broadly as she placed her hand on her chest and cupped her other hand on her hip.
"O-Oh, not that her highness Y/N doesn't already know about Mondstadt...” Amber massaged the back of her head nervously as you made her blush with your laughter.
"I don't. I didn't have enough time to look into it, so I'm grateful for the introduction. Mm, the only figure of this nation that I am familiar with is the archon,” You were able to make her feel better with the words that you spoke, and now Amber can be seen beaming with happiness once more.
That, as well, is a blatant lie. You have completed so many commissions in this nation while you were still a player, so of course you are familiar with every nook and cranny of this city.
You didn't say anything while Amber and Paimon went into great length explaining things to Aether; the only thing you did was hum sometimes in reaction to what they were saying.
You were on the sidelines as Aether received his wind glider and put it through its trials for the first time, which resulted in a successful outcome.
Ha, that kid used to fly around with his very own set of wings before.
You swung your legs around gleefully as you sat precariously perched over the railings.
It is only a matter of time before the city is shrouded by ominous clouds and Dvalin makes another appearance. This means that you will be able to see your little floatie as well.
Aether descended toward Amber, who was standing there waiting for him once more, as the three of them observed that thick clouds and fog had begun to cover the skies above Mondstadt.
“The sky...” Amber uttered those words with a note of apprehension.
People immediately began fleeing to safer areas as Aether and Amber gazed up at you with worried expressions on their faces, as if pleading with you to take some action.
You only smiled at them before speaking the words, “The stormterror is absolutely adorable, no doubt about it, no?
“E—Eh!?” Your response caused Paimon to exclaim, and at that very moment, a wind tornado was closing in on them and ultimately launched Aether into the air.
You heaved a sigh as you stood up from the rails, your palm shining with some unknown power as a barrier began to enclose the city and prevent any harm from approaching.
You sighed again as you began to protect the citizens of the city. However, since you didn't make an effort to clear away the fog, everything will continue to be a mystery.
You cast your sight upward, in the direction of where Aether is floating in the air thanks to Venti's power, and the two people who were observing you followed your gaze in that direction.
"Don't worry, your highness! We will be all right!"
You couldn't help but laugh as you soared to the location of Aether, where you could sense Venti disguising as one of the thousand winds.
“I’m preventing your fall with the power of a thousand winds.”
“Oh? Little floatie came into rescue too?” You teased as the mysterious voice began stammering.
“L-Little floatie…?”
"Alright, alright, let's concentrate on this," You gave Aether a friendly smile while you ruffled his silky locks with your fingertips.
"Don't worry about a thing; little floatie will look after you."
Aether frowned, indicating that he found the idea quite unappealing. "How about you?"
You hummed as you sensed the wind from Venti moving closer to you as though it was also interested in you.
"I'm quite curious to find out if slapping a fried egg on the stormterror's blood clot will be of any assistance."
Aether's jaw dropped in disbelief. You’re still not done with the fried eggs!?
"Hey, what do you think of this idea, little floatie?"
The mysterious voice heaved a cough and mumbled, "Eh..."
After hearing their response, you rolled your eyes at them. They had a feeling that you wouldn't be speaking anytime soon, so Venti made the decision to explain how to make use of the power.
You were observing everything that was going on around Aether as he started to harness the power of the wind.
You made a few comments about how the wind power looked like a machine gun which made Venti cough multiple times to hide his laughter.
“Not enough. Do you want me to slap you with an almond tofu for an increased damage?”
“W—What?”
You didn't bother to wait for his approval before presenting him with the plate of almond tofu that magically emerged in your hands and then you gently slapped it in front of his face.
It was such a surprising thing that you could practically feel Venti shaking, which almost caused him to lose control of the wind. It was that shocking.
As Aether took the final shot, Dvalin let out a roar, and you swiftly flew over to the dragon, which appeared to be about to collapse as it was shaking in the wind.
Venti stayed only long enough to watch the softening of your eyes as you stared at the blood clot on the dragon's back. Aether slowly flew down to the area where the others are, but Venti did not leave.
He watched as your bright hands gently caressed the dark crystal, which immediately silenced the dragon's roaring.
You were reluctant to completely remove the blood clot because it was Venti and Aether's responsibility to do it. However, because you are so compassionate toward individuals who are suffering, all you did was relieve the discomfort that the dragon was experiencing.
It is completely up to destiny to decide whether or not the abyss mage will still be able to exert control over the dragon.
"Little floatie," You moved your attention to the wind that was swirling. "The traveler is known to be trustworthy. I have complete faith that you are aware of the next steps."
The strong wind has started to die down, and the only sound that can be heard out is a faint “thank you.”
You led the weakened dragon back to the ground, and as soon as the two of you landed, three abyss mages suddenly appeared. You grimaced when you realized that Lumine must have sent them to seek you out.
"Our gracious benefactor," An abyss mage started things off. "Our princess would want to offer her sincere gratitude to—"
You heaved a sigh as you frowned and crossed your arms while looking at them. "I believed that I conveyed to them that receiving gratitude is not something that I like in any way,"
“Uh… they may have mentioned that.”
You gave your temples a light massage as the headache began to set in and asked, "So why are you here?"
"We would like to make a request that you lend us a hand in the restoration of our once-thriving nation and in rescuing its people from the curse."
"Oh, I had already made preparations to carry out that task," You gave your response, and then proceeded to yawn.
If only they knew that your two friends were the cause of their fall, they probably wouldn't be as friendly with you as they are now if they knew that.
As they drifted closer to you, the abyss mages showed signs of happiness; however, when they heard your next words, "But not right now," their happiness quickly turned to disappointment, and they almost plummeted to the ground.
“But— why?”
"Of what use is a nation if it does not have its people?" As you lounged contentedly on Dvalin's back, a sluggish expression began to appear on your face.
“So…”
"If I happen to come across one of your own, you can rest assured that I will deliver them to your princess so that she may deal with them." You uttered those words in a languid manner while staring at them. "Focus on gathering your people, since your nation will not all of a sudden grow a foot and run anyways."
"We are in all sincerity grateful for—"
“Hush.”
They abruptly stopped speaking once they were reminded that you do not enjoy receiving gratitude or hearing thank yous in any form.
You are truly a weird God— they think. But kind like their princess, nonetheless.
“Then we shall return.”
You made a careless motion with your hand, indicating for them to leave immediately.
“Tell your princess that she should at least pay a visit to her twin, and if she does that, maybe I'll feel more motivated to assist you.”
Your level of excitement and enthusiasm is to be expected, of course. The sooner they come to an understanding with one another, the sooner they will get the fuck out of Teyvat.
That means, you won't have any more job to do. On the other hand, you get the impression that it won't be all that simple.
Not with the looks that Aether was giving you, and not with Lumine's nature, which dictates that she won't stop until she pays back whoever helped her out.
Just hush and go, okay!? What is it that they have planned for the following step? Bring themselves to their knees and make a formal request for your hand in marriage? You let out a sigh as the thought crossed your mind.
In spite of the fact that you intended to rebuild the once-mighty nation, you wanted to execute it in private. There is no question in your mind that once they discovered who their benefactor is, then and only then will they revere that benefactor. What then will become of a nation that does not believe in God or even worship one?
The mages of the abyss remained silent for a short while as they observed various expressions adorning your face. It turned out to be quite comical. It's no surprise that their princess was so interested in interacting with you that she issued a command to find you.
They continued to observe you while you glared, huffed, and grimaced at the ground, and it wasn't until you frowned at them that they eventually left with a quiet "thank you."
You rolled your eyes. “What a bunch of brats.”
As soon as you arrived back in Mondstadt, you saw the three of them speaking to Kaeya. Although the fog has long since dissipated, the sky itself is still completely dark.
As you made your way slowly towards the folks who were introducing themselves, you waved your hand and the barrier vanished before your eyes.
“This is Kaeya, our Cavalry Captain.” Amber carried on talking as if she had not noticed your presence and proceeded. “These two are travelers from afar, Aether and Paimon.”
Kaeya looked at the two individuals and gave a nod in acknowledgement. He then made direct eye contact with you and asked, "And who might this young lady possibly be?"
Amber's eyes widened as she shifted her gaze back and forth between Kaeya and you. Kaeya saw the outrider's expression, which seemed to indicate that she was at a loss for words regarding how to introduce you.
Your presence elevated the level of excitement that he felt towards everything.
“Oh, I’m Y/N. I sell visions and gnoses.” You responded with an expression on your face that was completely expressionless, and your voice was completely emotionless, which made the situation even more awkward and unbelievable.
The response that you gave seemed to take Kaeya completely by surprise. You? Selling visions? How in the devil is something like that ever feasible? And just what exactly are gnoses?
“Uh… haha…” Amber, at a complete loss for words, scratched the nape of her neck.
"Oh? I had no idea that lady Y/N is such a practical joker,” Even though Kaeya appeared to be laughing, there was not the slightest indication of humor in his voice.
"Uh-huh, you bet! Paimon is in agreement that Y/N has a tendency to joke around quite a bit!” In a frantic effort to salvage the situation, Paimon quickly nodded her head.
"Well, if you want to buy one, all you have to do is ask me..." You just said it while crossing your arms.
“Oh? I was wondering if you could sell me one then." It appeared as though Kaeya was making fun of you with his charming smile; in fact, it almost felt that way.
You seemed curious about something as you cocked your head to the side and then asked, "Don't you already have a vision though?"
"Well, having two would certainly make things more interesting, wouldn't you say?"
You took a moment to think about it before giving your approval with a nod. As you lifted your hands and opened your palms, visions of several elements, each glowing brightly, suddenly appeared.
Huh? He thought you were just joking the whole time!
It would be an understatement to say that Kaeya was caught off guard by the revelation. Are you a fraud? A magician perhaps? However, the visions you are holding exude such an overwhelming amount of power that it is difficult to even consider the possibility that they are a fake.
“Mm, you’re my first customer, so in appreciation of your patronage, I'll give you a discount if you buy Aether and Paimon a meal. Fair trade, don't you think?”
What fair trade? A simple meal in exchange for a vision? Do you not realize that visions are extraordinarily rare, and that the vast majority of people would give anything — including their lives — to receive one?
Of course you're aware of it; you're just messing with them for the sake of witnessing their reactions. It's likely that protecting Teyvat for thousands of years has had an effect on you, as seen by the fact that you're even doing this for no other reason than boredom.
Kaeya remained motionless in his stance; his eyes riveted on the bright visions that had no owner. After snapping out of his trance, he took off his cloak and wrapped it around you in a tender manner.
You made a sound that indicated that you were confused as he said, "Let's continue this conversation to our headquarters."
"Tch, I really need to bring Crepus back to life so that he can scold his children to death."
"Are you going to use fried eggs for that man too?" Paimon inquired, which caused Kaeya's surprise and horror to reach an even higher level.
Too? Does that mean that this wouldn't be your first time bringing someone back to life?
Now, Kaeya is positive that he wishes he could just pass out right there and then.

Teyvat is at last protected from the hostile forces of the outside world; however, you cannot be certain that Teyvat is safe from the inside due to the fact that those petty Gods have a tendency for wreaking even more havoc. Who the hell told them to compete with each other by trying to kill one another just so they could get a position?
Ah, yes. There's no way out of this one except to blame Celestia! The people you consider to be your closest friends are actually the embodiment of headaches.
However, despite the fact that it is your job to prevent travelers from entering Teyvat so as not to upset the balance of fate, one of your other best friends has in fact literally trapped the twin travelers inside Teyvat!
Just what the hell is Asmoday thinking!
And now, one of the twins is dead set on eradicating your other best friend, who is a professional for wreaking havoc within the world that the three of you have taken an oath to defend.
You would have annihilated the world a long time ago if it weren't for the fact that you made a pledge to safeguard it so that you could continue to observe your characters.
It's unfortunate that you only get to see Venti once in his adorable little form before the two headaches call you to join them in observing the people like the creepy stalkers they are. It would have been better if you can see more of Venti in that little elemental spirit form of his.
But hey, at least you made it possible for Venti to grab a position as a form of repayment for the times you would drop an apple right above his head.
If only the gods knew that developing a close relationship with you would also result in them gaining a gnosis, it would make everything so much easier for them.
No war, no killing, but they would probably need to act cute right in front of you to get one.
Though, you’ll be going against the Celestia if you did that. But what are they going to do? Hit you with an Anemo vision?
“...you can't just go ahead and do that.” The Celestia grunted and slapped themselves in the face.
“But I just did.” A lazy smile crept across your face while your chin relaxed on the palms of your hands as you watched the newly formed seven rule over their respective nations.
If you hadn't been smiling in such a devious way, the two individuals would have complimented your beauty on the spot.
“Oh my god—” Celestia bemoaned.
“You’re a god…”
“So, to put it simply, the battle hasn't even begun yet, but somebody has already won a seat. You called him a little floatie, didn't you? What sparked your interest in them in the first place?” Asmoday or the Unknown God, spoke to you as she continued to look at you with a curious expression on her face and a raised brow.
“Haha— you should've seen how Vent— little floatie bit into an apple that was way bigger than him. Quite adorable if you’d ask me.”
“…you granted him a seat just because you found them cute?”
“Oh my god—” Celestia lamented once again, “So it wasn’t a fair fight for the seat?”
“Never was.”
“Oh my g—” You couldn't help but chuckle darkly as you stuffed an apple in her mouth in an effort to silence her.
Tumblr media
You jotted down a long list of things that need to be done, and you intend to get to them after you've finished taking care of everything else.
Resurrecting the pitiful gods that perished as a result of the archon war; perhaps rebuilding Khaenri'ah as a means of spitting in Celestia's face; perhaps as an act of retaliation for giving you more work all the time; or perhaps guiding the traveler yourself.
The sooner they reach their final destination, the sooner they will leave this world.
Once they leave the world, you are going to take a break and drink one of Asmoday's best wines until you drop dead.
But there's no doubt that those two will irritate you to death faster than you can get drunk.
You devoted your entire life to protecting the world from those pesky travelers who never stopped making a nuisance of themselves within Teyvat.
Because there are so many of them, you can actually see Asmoday rolling her eyes and simply wrapping people in her cube-thingy before sending them off to some unknown location in the vast universe.
And standing before you right now is the traveler that Asmoday entrapped in this world.
You only blinked in amazement when Aether pulled a flying fairy out of the waters in a literal way.
“Ugh…” The winged fairy in flight coughed several times before rising back into the air and floating once more with a slight swaying motion, as if she were feeling dizzy. “Paimon was terrified that she was going to pass away...”
"Well, if you're feeling like you're going to die, why don't you come over here? I'll make you feel better."
While you were laying on your side on top of the flat stone, you spoke with a joyful tone in your voice.
Aether turned around and looked up at you as he saw a hint of a smile on your face while you were looking down at him. Even though you were only dressed in plain white clothing and had flowers the color of the sky adorning your hair, he couldn't help but be taken aback by your otherworldly beauty. He found himself blinking multiple times.
Paimon, who was still not acting like her normal self, floated towards you without consciously trying to do so.
"Quite an obedient one, I see." You laughed as you poked the flying fairy in the forehead, and something glowing within her.  Paimon's eyes widened in an expression that suggested she was startled, and she began looking around in a frantic manner.
“Oh— oh, you saved Paimon!”
You gave a slow shake of your head while pointing at Aether, who was still standing there, and said, "It was he who saved you."
“Oh! Thank you very much, you are my savior!" Paimon flew towards Aether and smiled at him with a broad grin, to which Aether responded with a friendly one of his own.
Aether scratched the back of his neck and said, "It's nothing," giving the impression that he was embarrassed to have been caught by the mysterious woman who has the presence of a Goddess. "The only reason I was able to save you was because of sheer good fortune."
"Well then, why don't we all go around and say a few words about ourselves?" You spoke as you sat up from the stone and descended down to their level.
The two people looked at you with their mouths hanging open as they watched you walked in the air.
“Hey! You are also capable of floating!” Paimon exclaimed, her eyes glistening with happiness at the sheer joy she felt.
When Aether opened his mouth to speak, you quickly silenced him by placing your finger over his mouth and pressing down lightly.
"How about we start by introducing ourselves to one another, shall we?"
After both of them nodded, it was clear that they were ready to start introducing themselves.
“And just like that, the god took away my sister. Some kind of seal was cast upon me, and I lost my power. So, while we used to travel from world to world, we are now trapped here.”
In response, you hummed to express yourself. Naturally, you were already aware of this information; however, this is not only due to the fact that you are now the Protector of Teyvat and are familiar with the God who trapped the twins in this world; rather, this is also due to the fact that you were once a player in the game.
“So… you are not familiar with this world?”
Aether heaved a sigh and gave the disappointing response, “Unfortunately, no.”
"As a gesture of gratitude, Paimon promises to do everything in her power to be an excellent guide!"
“How about you, Y/N? Are you like Aether too?” Paimon cocked her head to the side and scanned your entire body from head to toe while keeping a close eye on you.
You let out a chuckle as she looked at you with an inquisitive expression while speaking in a very assured manner. “I know Teyvat very well that I can practically see it with my eyes closed.”
“Oh! Then you can rely on us to steer you in the right direction, Aether! We will definitely help find your sister!”
Aether's grin was sincere, and it seemed to him that a weight had been lifted off of his chest. "Thank you."
You replied, "It's not a problem at all," while twirling a strand of your hair and acting as if you were unaware of Aether's gaze on you.
"Then, why don't we begin by trying to get in touch with the seven?" You offered an idea.
Paimon started explaining about the archons and the nations that they would have to travel through before Aether even had a chance to ask what the seven is.
As Paimon went into extensive detail describing the location where the three of you will begin your journey, you softly hummed a lullaby, your voice gently caressing the ears of your two traveling companions like wind chimes.
"Mondstadt, hm? Stunning decision, if I do say so myself. Do you know that the archon is just around the next corner?" You made them both laugh by making a joke. Ha, if only they know you weren't kidding around.
"Where?" Paimon sputtered in shock. “Are you familiar with the archons? Do you know the archons?"
"Haha, well, of course it goes without saying that I do. After all, I did grant him that position." You smiled at them in a careless manner, and in return, they flashed a blank expression in your direction.
You never had any intention of concealing your true identity, and now it is up to them to decide whether or not they will believe you. A person who is able to grant a Gnosis is considered to be on par with the Celestia, or possibly even on a higher level than them. This fact alone makes it seem impossible that you are saying the truth.
Therefore, they may believe that it is impossible for someone like you to be wandering the lands of Teyvat instead of keeping an eye on them from a higher vantage point.
“Uhh… Paimon is unsure of whether Y/N is teasing us or whether they are actually being serious…”
Aether gave it some thought before finally agreeing with the statement.
"Enough with the small talk, let's make our way over to the statue."
The two remained silent as you led the way, and your lullabies are the only sound that they are able to hear presently. It was a very relaxing stroll to get to the statue, and the two of them couldn't have been more happier to be in your calming presence the whole way there.
You have finally arrived at your destination after what seemed like an endless amount of time spent walking there.
You made the decision to step back, but not too far away from them as you watched the blond hair traveler put his hand on the statue, and the power of anemo swirled around before touching him.
“Ooh! Did you just feel the elements of the world?”
“Seems like all you had to do was just touch the statue and you got the power of Anemo!”
“Quite handy, don’t you think? At least you won’t have to rely on visions.” You said as you sat down on the grass.
“Y/N is correct! As much as they may want it, people in this world can never get a hold of powers as easily as you...” Paimon explained as she crosses her arms.
Aether frowned slightly. “I think I know why, it's because...”
“Ah-ha, it's because you're not from this world to begin with.” Paimon replied nodding in agreement.
“Well, if you’re done, it’s time to go to the city.” You said before yawning boredly as you heard Paimon explaining things to Aether again. Spoken like a true floating compass indeed!
Aether paid close attention, making sure he understood all of the new information that he had just been given.
During the length of time that Paimon spent slowly explaining the details, you did not speak, and you did not interrupt her. You were only going along for the ride because you thought it would be fun, Paimon can be the guide for all you care.
The three of you had just made the decision to leave once more in order to travel to the city of Mondstadt when all of a sudden, a large dragon appeared in the skies above and began flying in the direction of the center of the forest.
“There’s something huge in the sky!" Paimon let out an exclamation as Aether, who was protecting his eyes from the brisk wind by covering them with his arm, hummed in response.
"I'll take a look at it. Please, bring Aether to Mondstadt first, Paimon," You only gave them a quick look, but just seeing the concentration on your face was enough for them to agree and nod their heads.
You kept an eye on their rear ends as they moved further and further away from you, and it wasn't until you were no longer able to see them that you started to make your way towards the center of the forest, stopping to pick an apple from a tree along the way.
You approached the archon and the dragon stealthily, being careful not to make any noise with your steps and moving as quietly as possible. You used your flying abilities to get to the branch of the tree where Aether had been hiding during the cutscene, and then you sat there and watched the anemo archon take his sweet time trying to communicate with Dvalin.
"He's poisoned, it's pointless," You spoke but there were no sounds that came out of your mouth. The only thing that carried your message to the ears of the anemo archon was a light breeze.
Venti jerked his head in response to the recognizable voice that he heard in his head, which resulted in Dvalin being startled. The dragon let out a deafening roar, and the wind whipped around erratically in the areas surrounding it.
“Who’s there!?” While Dvalin was behaving erratically, Venti looked around. He would not continue to stay if he hadn't just heard a voice that sounded familiar just now; otherwise, he would have vanished at that very moment.
Dvalin let out one final roar before spreading his wings and making the decision to flee the area, leaving you and Venti behind in complete silence.
You heaved a sigh as you took another bite out of the apple that you had earlier plucked from the tree. Venti turned his head in the direction of the sound of the crunch to look in your position, and all you did in response to his keen observation was raise an eyebrow.
"Well, how are you doing today, Barbatos?" You said while giving him a friendly smile as you threw the apple with the bite taken out of it, which he caught with the right hand.
A puzzled expression appeared on Venti's face as he pondered how you are familiar with his name. You do not give the impression of being an enemy in any way, but you were not also an archon. Therefore, how are you able to know his name?
“Hum…” You hummed while resting your cheeks in your palm and tapping the side of your face lightly with your fingers, "When I first saw you, you were just a little elemental spirit. Quite adorable, if I may say so."
You found it very funny when Venti's face started to flush and he turned his head to the side to hide it; cute, you say?
“Do we know each other, my lady?”
“We haven’t really met formally but…” You stood up on the branch, smiling down at him with your bright expression. “Perhaps the wind will tell you of my identity, or is that even a thing? Haha!”
"I'll bring more apples next time, and maybe your bard friend and the other archons to accompany us!"
Venti gaped openly, "Bard friend? But he's..."
Your lively laughter was the last thing he had heard before you had vanished from your place, and now all that is left in his hand is an apple that has been munched on.
Venti stared at it for a moment before bringing the fruit up to his lips and biting it in the same spot on the apple that you had previously bit.
As Venti held the apple gently in his hands and licked his lips, he was aware that butterflies were fluttering around in the pit of his stomach.
He recalled how, back in those days, apples would all of a sudden appear in the sky and fall on top of his head. Due to the fact that he is only a small elemental spirit, he would fall to the ground along with the apple.
The fact that somebody is spending their time playing with him is another source of happiness for him, despite the fact that there were times when he would tumble right into the water.
He can't help but show a grin that tugs at his lips. It's possible that the two of you have been connected for an even longer period of time than the first friend he's made. Perhaps there was someone else there with him after all.
‘Sweet’ was the only word that came out of his mouth as he chewed slowly.
If you had stayed and watched the act, you would have been so horrified by it that you would have wanted to cringe. Hygiene is important!
Meanwhile on the other side, Amber screamed in surprise when you suddenly appeared in the sky and revived all of the hilichurls that they had just bombed. The most shocking of all is that the hilichurls suddenly turned into humans.
Somehow, you can feel that Lumine will chase you down soon.

SAGAU but with Scheming Creator!Reader Imposter AU
PT. 2
Lmao, honestly, I dunno what title to put in this one soooo, just let it stay like that I guess?
*ੈ✩‧₊˚⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
You kept running and running; you travel to wherever destination the wind was blowing you to. In spite of the fact that Venti is the Anemo Archon, it seems as though the wind favors you more than it does him. You are grateful for this, as you are able to consistently enjoy a decent night's sleep without getting stabbed.
You get a considerable amount of pleasure out of playing with them, even though it may be rather exhausting. Although your new body is one that is gradually becoming endowed with divine energy, you are nevertheless able to experience tiredness, but it is manageable.
Your next objective should be the land of contracts, which is home to the Geo Archon, given that the entire city of freedom is actively pursuing you at this point.
You can't help but wonder if Zhongli will make an effort to eliminate you as well.
You are always excited by the prospect of encountering something new.
Even though they had been given orders to execute you on the spot, Venti was the one leading his nation in the pursuit of capturing you alive and bringing you back to their city. Why? Maybe for his own personal gain.
Even though he managed to cut your arm with the razor-sharp edge of the wind that he controls, you have a sneaking suspicion that he isn't actually interested in hurting you.
When you locked your disappointed and betrayed gaze with his, you did notice how he flinched and appeared to be considering whether or not to continue.
However, you were also able to observe the frightening gaze that he cast in your direction the moment he first laid eyes on you. It infuriated him to think that someone would break into the holy grounds while dressed as his creator and even wearing his creator's skin.
Even then, he was still fairly alright in the head and was not yet an idiot who would unhesitatingly pounce on someone just because their master commanded them to do so.
In this world, the existence of gold blood is not anything that can be considered extraordinary. Even though it is extremely uncommon, it can still be seen on a few persons who are believed to have been blessed by the creator.
The substance that emerges from your wounds is not blood but rather star glitters. And as if the world were devoid of gravity, it will not drop on the ground but gradually ascend towards the heavens until it is once more reunited with the stars. It was believed that the creator carries the universe within them, and some people may even speculate that you are the universe itself, and that Teyvat is just one of the many lucky worlds that you have created.
It was also said that the creator once shed a tear, and that tear took the form of a dazzling crystal as it fell to the ground. It was brilliant and untainted, much like you are. Even if it is stunning and would like to see it in person, they will never be able to find it in themselves to bring another tear to the eyes of their maker.
They would never stop listening to you soothe them with your gentle voice, especially the vision holders. And when you had finally descended, the Teyvat itself did not rejoice, despite the fact that the Archons and their people did.
You were humming softly, and the stars in the night sky seemed to glow even more intensely in response to the sound of your voice. The wounds that you have sustained have at long last healed. You honestly made sure that all arrows launched towards you would hit your body, and you didn't dodge anything, not even the sharp cut of wind that Venti would inflict upon you, nor the scorching heat of the fire that grazed your skin. You made sure that every arrow will hit your body.
Whatever it is that your children present you, it goes without saying that you will gladly accept it with open arms. Having said that, you do harbor the hope that when the time comes for you to eventually decide to pay them back, they would likewise accept it with open arms.
“Mm. They move exceptionally slow, don't they?”
As you moved to a position on top of the tree in Windrise that was more comfortable for you, your melodious voice echoed throughout the surroundings. The wind encircled your body as though it were trying to reassure you, that they will come soon, and the rustling of the leaves on the tree generated a soothing swishing sound. You moved your feet around gracefully while the wind played with your long hair and made it dance.
As soon as you heard the sound of footsteps coming towards your location, a sly grin spread across your face.
They discovered you seated on a branch of the tree, gazing down at them with a melancholy expression plastered across your face.
Jean, Diluc, Kaeya, Lisa— and won’t you look at that? The Anemo Archon himself.
You observed as Venti appeared to take a breath in deeply, as though he was appreciating the wind. Indeed, Venti was reminiscing; it seemed like an eternity since the Windrise had experienced a moment of tranquillity. Because this is the location at which he had his initial encounter with the voice of the creator, it is and will always be for him a place of great serenity. But, as is always the case, it does not feel complete; rather, it gives the impression that something is missing.
But today, he seems to have a feeling that his soul is whole. To the point where he feels like his heart is going to explode from its own fullness. But why is that?
You couldn't help but crack a fake smile when you saw Venti in such a relaxed state. It's probably about time that he finds out the truth about who you truly are. The moment is drawing nearer when he will start seeking you.
However, when that moment arrives, you will make it sure that you are unreachable and far away from their grasps filled with desire.
Desire for you, and only you.
“Imposter.”
You did not speak as you quietly observed them.
“Although we have received the order from her grace to kill you on the spot, we will be lenient and hand you over to our divine creator instead,” Jean said, the disdain in her voice was not really new to you, but you did not really know what to make of it.
But they are aware that the reason is not because they want the divine creator to settle their differences with you personally. Something itches well down in the depths of their hearts, but they are unable to identify the feeling that they are experiencing. Is it because your appearance is so similar to their creator? However, considering that you are an imposter, this would make complete sense, but still— they can’t—
Their visions trembled as if they were resonating with the bearer's genuine emotions and attempting to draw closer to you, but none of them saw this.
On the spur of the moment, the wind appeared to be suffocating. The abrupt change in the wind caused Venti's eyes to widen, and the others' facial expressions toward you became increasingly hostile as they frowned.
The wind is going mad with rage, seeking retribution for the fact that it has angered their creator; it wants to suffocate them, it wants to—
"The Divine Creator..." You mumbled.
Then it stopped.
The tension was finally broken by a gentle voice, and the wind quickly returned to its previous state.
“Are you—" You were on the verge of laughing at the amount of garbage you had heard, but you managed to force it all back down.
Your looked down at your hands resting on your lap as you spoke quietly, “Are you replacing me now?”
“Ha! And here we are offering you the opportunity to maybe continue your life under her grace, and you had the nerve to imply that you are going to be replaced?"
"How can we worship you as our creator when you were never our creator? An imposter being delusional, I see."
When they saw the pained smile that formed on your face, their hearts all ached. But none of them paid attention to it. Perhaps they are experiencing these emotions because, ever since their creator descended, her grace has never given them a glance that is so heart-wrenching that they feel as though they will suffocate from the amount of guilt that it causes. Their divine creator, who is seated on the throne, experiences constant joy without any of the slightest bit of suffering, as she ought to in that position.
“I see…” You whispered to yourself as you slowly released a trembling breath.
Is that all there was to it then? When they have reaped all of the benefits that your grace and blessings have to offer, they will simply find someone else to fill your place? Even more so, with a face that look exactly like yours?
You couldn't help but laugh on the inside as you played out your part as a discarded creator, someone who was simply substituted for another.
You are quite interested in performing the final play that you have written, but not just yet. It is still necessary for you to invite the other nations to participate in the game with you all. At this very moment, they are most likely looking for you as well. However, waiting can be extremely taxing, so instead of waiting for anything to happen, why don't you go out and get it for yourself?
You just like seeking death, don’t you? Your actual life was comprised solely of boring and unimpressive things. Nothing will ever make you happy or give you the satisfaction you crave.
"However, I am not attempting to impersonate your Divine Creator. I only wish to be left alone to live my life in peace, can I not stay in this world?" You uttered your words in a soft tone as you kept your gaze fixed onto them with a kind expression.
Your ears suddenly filled with the sound of a low chuckle, but it was not one of amusement or any other emotion. It seemed as if they were making a mockery of you when you said that.
“Not imitating, I see.”
At this point, you are feeling exhausted, and it does not appear like they will allow you to live in peace within the world that you have created.
"If that is what you want, then I will remove myself from your line of sight,”
You spoke as the wind wafted closer to you and your surroundings.
You fixated your gaze on each of them, attempting to make a mental note of the surprised emotions on their faces.
But Venti. Oh, your poor Venti. He must have realized everything by now.
It is possible that you will run into him again sooner than you had originally anticipated since he appears to be normal enough and is not acting like a crazed dog that is barking for the person they call their true divine creator.
"However, I will not allow myself to be handed to your creator.”
The previously pleasant voice that greeted them when they arrived had become ice-cold and emotionless in its tone by the time it was their turn to speak.
“You—!” Jean let out a yell while she stood there with her hand on the hilt of her sword.
“Wait—!” Venti yelled and made an effort to approach you, but even his own wind repelled him and kept him at a distance.
And just like that, you were gone, like a breath of fresh air.
Venti was only successful in grabbing a handful of wind from the location where you had been previously. The feeling of completeness that he had experienced once more before had begun to dissipate completely. At this given moment, the wind in Windrise is behaving exactly the same as it does on any other day.
It is true that there is peacefulness.
But once again, there is something missing.
Venti collapsed to the ground, and he experienced a sudden weakening in his knees. When you spoke to him with a harsh tone in your voice, he was not able to bear it. It seemed as though the absence of you caused him unexplainable anguish in his heart.
It was much like those other times, whenever you give words of comfort to him. It seems as though he is only a few steps away from you but is unable to approach you. However, now that he had the opportunity to touch you, he let his ignorance get the best of him, and as a result, he lost everything.
Truly, it hurts more when you yearn for something that you cannot have anymore.
Far away from the Windrise and away from the city of freedom, you, who stood serenely on top of the Guyun Stone Forest, patiently waited for the new danger that is about to come.
Your beautiful appearance was not diminished in any way by the tattered dress that you were wearing. You almost look like the loving, benevolent, and holy creator that you are. Except for the fact that there was a look of amusement on your face at the same time. Like some divine being that was taking joy in watching their creations rushing up to worship at their feet.
The ground violently shook, and everything that Teyvat has to offer their one and only creator is ready to protect you from any potential threat that may appear anytime soon.
And indeed, he did not fail to live up to your expectations; there behind you stood the Geo Archon himself, scrutinizing every aspect of your being. His glare was aggressive, and it appeared very much as though he wanted to force you into going to the ocean floor with Osial, where his divine creator won't be able to look at such a revolting imposter as you.
You slowly turned your head to look at him with the same tenderness and warmth in your eyes that is currently the reflection of the night skies above you. You appeared to be delighted to see him by the way you stared at him, but then you pretended to be astonished by the way he was glaring at you. You blinked your eyes pretty slowly, giving the impression that you were really hurt and surprised by the way he welcomed your return.
His glare wavered, and he began to relax his stance, as though he were thinking back to the days when his divine creator had not yet descended to their world.  Those moments when you would only communicate with him from above.
Having witnessed his behavior, you almost found yourself amused at how soft Zhongli can get when it comes to you.
Good child, you didn't disappoint me.
One wonders what sort of surprises he would bring.

SAGAU but with Scheming Creator!Reader Impostor AU [PT. 3]
*ੈ✩‧₊˚⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
“You are…” You started to speak, but then you paused for a brief period of time, as if you were thinking for the appropriate words to say, before proceeding. “Zhongli.”
Zhongli furrowed his brow, his Vortex Vanquisher positioned and ready to strike at you at any time despite the momentary sense of nostalgia he had just had at the sight of you.
There was complete stillness between the two of you as you faced each other, neither of you dared to make a move.
Everything would have been great if not for the fact that the man in front of you is wielding the signature weapon you granted him, which is capable of inflicting harm on you if he so chooses.
Even though he had been given the order to drag you into the depths of the abyss, he couldn't help but find it strange that the divine creator he worships, who is seated on the throne, is capable of such viciousness.
Because he considers you to be the most caring individual he has ever come across, he believes that the divine creator he is familiar with would never resort to doing something like that.
Your presence, the soothing words you spoke, and the kind actions you did all contributed to his falling in love with you.
Zhongli pictured you as someone who is compassionate and understands that if someone else were to wear your skin and impersonate you, all you would feel is genuine concern, even if you will feel a little bit sad, and you might even make an effort to understand why the imposter is trying to act in such manner.
This was the image Zhongli had of you in his mind. Even worse, he believes that you would even make friends with the impersonator.
You are guaranteed to have a wonderful time laughing if you ever get the opportunity to listen to his thoughts. You were never a kind person after all; you only find entertainment in pretending to be like one.
You had no idea that the fanfiction you've been reading can become real, but you're thankful that you acted like it was real back then because it became useful in the end.
But if that is what he thinks of you, then perhaps you can act the role as well.
In all honestly, you do love and genuinely care about them.  Why would you even invest a lot of money and time just to have them if you don't like them at all?
But they have the audacity to give the real imposter the same amount of attention that they are supposed to save for you.
They all immediately ran to worship the fake and did so without any hesitation or doubt.
An imposter can only take on your appearance; they are unable to replicate the divine attributes or wonderful personality that you possess.
You are not really in that much of a hurry to take back secondhands. The imposter who is pretending to be you has already touched your cherished characters.
They need to make amends for their sins, rid themselves of the fake's filth, and start over so that they can be untainted once again.
Only after they have accomplished that will you be able to welcome them back into your life.
They belong to you just as much as you belong to them.
You simply cannot wait for the day when you will be able to watch your imposter's terrified face as your darling acolytes, whom she deceived, slaughter her on their own.
And you will simply take your seat atop the throne that they have so painstakingly crafted for you, acting the part of the benevolent creator who is overflowing with kindness that you are, and who is incapable of causing any harm to anyone, not even your imposter, while your lovely characters do the work of discarding that fake on your behalf.
You could feel the wind gently brushing your face, as if it, too, could not wait for that day to finally arrive. Teyvat will always have your back, even if you are a vicious person and not really as kind as they believed you were.
Zhongli scrutinized each and every part of your body while also tensing his hold on the weapon he was carrying.
The question is, who exactly are you?
He feels that you are more similar to the divine creator that he knows than the divine creator who is seated on the throne. You are more like the divine creator he is familiar with.
Are you really the fake one? Why are you just standing there as if you are waiting for him to pierce you with his weapon?
He observed that you appear to be terrified, and the pain that suddenly appeared in his chest in response to your retreat caused him to want to gasp for air and look away from your sad expression.
You can't take another step, or you'll end up falling down the rock.
He grimaced and opened his mouth to speak, but he kept it closed when you beat him to it.
"Are you going to hurt me as well?"
No— no— but he should— for his divine creator.
Yet— it pains him. It causes him great distress to see you in the condition that you are currently in. Your tattered clothing will never be able to compete with the most luxurious and magnificent clothes that their divine creator wears as she enjoys a carefree life in the most protected area of Teyvat.
You present a very pitiful appearance. Since you look so frail and harmless, there shouldn't be any reason to be worried if he decides to let you go, right?
This means that he will act as if your first encounter with him never took place and will ignore anything and everything that transpired during this time.
If, on the other hand, he believes, even for one instant, that you pose a danger to his divine creator, he will not hesitate to rip you in two pieces and destroy you.
Zhongli stared at you with an expressionless face, his gaze dark, before saying a single word.
“Go.”
You blinked, appearing to be naïve like you didn't get what he meant.
Does this mean you can leave? Unscathed? Just like that?
"Don't even dare to take a single step onto the Liyue harbor," he warned. "Its people would never be willing to give such a repulsive imposter a warm welcome."
"Disappear to a place where we are unable to see you."
You didn't say anything in response to any of his cruel statements and instead chose to remain silent.
Zhongli can see that even though you appear to be maintaining your composure and putting up a brave front, your eyes are quivering uncontrollably as though you are going to cry.
When Zhongli thought of you crying, his eyes became ever-so-slightly wider. If you shed a tear and it didn't change into a glistening crystal, then it shouldn't be too difficult to get rid of you.
Since he was only killing an imposter, he won't have any need to feel guilty about it. Then perhaps he won't have to disobey the orders of his divine creator because of what he is feeling; all you have to do now is to show him the tears of a normal human, and then he will destroy you.
Pffft— Haha!
You couldn't help but giggle to yourself on the inside at how eager he was for you to shed a tear.
‘Since you are eager about it, I will be happy to show it to you,’
“It seems that… you weren’t true to your words when you told me that Liyue will always welcome me with open arms,”
Zhongli was startled out of his thoughts by the gentle and beautiful voice. The Vortex Vanquisher slipped out of his grasp as his fingertips began to feel numb.
“It looks like I won’t be able to share a drink with you after all,” You gave him a smile, but your tone and expression revealed the fact that you were feeling unhappy.
“My divine creator…” Zhongli heaved a quivering breath out as he reached out with his gloved hands in an attempt to grab you.
You flinched backwards as you attempted to avoid his touch.
Drop.
Your left eye let out a single tear as a twinkling crystal fell to the ground. It is meant to be a pure white color, much like what they have seen in the past, but instead it has a color red swirling inside of it.
Sadness. Despair. Hopelessness.
That, Zhongli can clearly see.
It’s his fault. His fault— his fault— his fault— his fault— his fault— his fault—!
‘I blessed you with what you are so eager to see and played my part very well,’ You sneered as you thought. ‘Now it's your turn to surprise me.’
You laughed with mirth, but Zhongli is currently preoccupied with attempting to process everything to even notice it. His thoughts are consumed by you and only you — how he brought tears to your eyes and how he made you feel miserable.
He is a fool, he was so eager for you to cry, and now that you have, it is evident that he is the one who is suffering.
He stared at your divine existence with a crazed look in his eyes; he looks obsessed, ready to pounce at you at any moment. He was staring at you as if he wants to possess you. You are aware of that look, and you have seen it many times before.
He wants to keep you all for himself, doesn’t he?
Tch. He doesn’t have the right. He just lost it.
You removed your attention from him and turned to look down at the ground below you. You just need to take one step, and you will be on the ground.
It is in everyone's best interest to escape while the Geo Archon is still in a state of disarray. Even if he is only Zhongli now, he is still very powerful, and he will easily be able to confine you.
It's possible that because of the artifacts you gave him, he's even more powerful than he was when he was still Morax. Indeed, you did a wonderful job raising him.
Perhaps, in the deepest part of your heart, you yearned for this, you wanted this.
You want them to be completely obsessed with you so that they won't make the same mistake that they did and see an imposter as their creator.
You wanted to be the only one they could see in their eyes. It gives you the satisfaction that you’ve been craving your entire life.
Zhongli grabbed you by the waist and peered at you intently with a look of obsessive fixation flickering in his eyes. It was almost as if he knew what you were going to do.
‘Zhongli, my most beloved Zhongli. Do you not realize that you are behaving in the same manner that you did when you still held the title of an Archon?’
Hm, dragons are possessive creatures after all.
However, even this will not be enough to confine you in any way. You obviously wouldn't mind being locked up and pampered, but not right now.
There’s always a suitable time for things like that.
"My divine creator, I beg you not to weep. You are more than welcome in Liyue. I was foolish. I beg for your forgiveness." Zhongli spoke in a hushed tone.
When he saw the tears streaming down your face, he couldn't help but feel bitterly cold.
“Please— I will do anything you ask,” He pleaded.
You finally looked up at him, but you didn't respond to any of his words.  Your expression never changed; all you did was look at him with disappointment in your eyes.
Zhongli was captivated by your majestic appearance, but the pain in his heart was overwhelming.
You were disappointed with how he treated you. He feels the need to repeatedly stab himself in the chest in order to divert his attention away from the agonizing pain that he is experiencing in his heart.
“You are lying, just like Barbatos,” You spoke. “You have all replaced me.”
“No— we were blind, my creator. Punish us, plea—”
You gave him a genuine smile, which made him feel at ease.
“I only wish for you to not hurt your new creator just like what you did to me,” you started.
"Being thrown away... is indeed very painful. I don't want anyone else to feel as lonely as I do right now, so please take good care of them."
But then again, you are well aware that Zhongli will act in a way that is directly contradictory to what you are suggesting.
It shouldn't even surprise you that after you leave this place, word will quickly spread that the head of their divine creator, who was seated on the throne, has just flown across the room.
Zhongli bowed his head and pleaded with you while kneeling at your feet. He softly grabbed both of your hands. "Please understand that I have no intention of casting you aside."
However, you are both aware of the fact that this had been his aim from the very beginning.
Your hand travels all the way up to Zhongli's head and runs through the silky locks of his hair.
You smiled at him in a way that was meant to reassure him, but Zhongli was the only one who felt a sense of foreboding from your expression.
“Live well, Morax.”
And just like that, you were gone, leaving him to dwell on his own thoughts while they raced around in his head like an annoying parasite.
After all, you still need to play with your favorite Geo Archon’s people.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
Zhongli didn't move an inch from his position. You are just too kind, extremely kind.
He wishes that you could be a little bit more ruthless and self-centered and give him the order to destroy the true imposter who is sitting on your throne.
Even though you were the one who was treated unfairly, you still exhibited a great deal of sympathy and concern that your imposter may feel the same hopelessness you experience.
That simply proves the fact that you are the one he fell in love with, and not with the repulsive creature that is currently sitting on your throne.
His lovely creator, why are you too kind? If you give him the command to put an end to his own life in order to make amends for his sins, he will gladly obey. But you suddenly left him. All he needs is your command.
You told him to live well, but how can he? He will never be able to forget the image of you weeping in sadness because of him because the memory will be imprinted into his brain forever. It will remain engraved in his heart and soul for all eternity.
It is something that will follow him for the rest of his life and haunt him.
He was too late.
Will he be able to see you again?
Zhongli clenched his teeth tightly as he felt rage engulfing every part of his body.
The thought of the imposter reigning on your throne and leading a luxurious life while you are being hunted is making him to want to kill everyone, including himself.
If blood doesn’t spill tonight, then he will never be able to sleep.
*ੈ✩‧₊˚⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
You turned around and looked back at the location of the Guyun Stone Forest, which was shaking violently. Your mouth twisted into the beginnings of a smirk.
It seems like blood will indeed spill tonight. Not only yours, but also their divine creator’s. And you have your doubts that Zhongli will allow them to die in a peaceful manner.
“The imposter went this way!”
“Seize her!”
“Do not let that creature get away!”
You limped as you tried to hide from the extremely angry citizens of Liyue.
Thanks to Xiao, you now have an unsightly gash on your leg.
Even Keqing and Ganyue are hunting you because of Ningguang's orders, which is something that isn’t really surprising.
It's not like you're going to stand there and let them take you captive.
After all, you have not yet paid Inazuma a visit.

SAGAU but with Scheming Creator!Reader Imposter AU
PT. 1
*ੈ✩‧₊˚⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
You were going about your day as usual when you decided to read some SAGAU Imposter AU fanfictions on the internet. The plot does not provide you with as much satisfaction as you would want, and the readers' ability to exact revenge seems too — in your opinion, quite lacking.
On the other hand, you consistently maintain a nonchalant attitude about it. You are still going to go ahead and read it, then continue scrolling until you discover another fanfiction.
A retribution in the form of exile? You probably won't find this interesting. Taking your newfound powers and using it to wipe them off as payback? That is quite thrilling; however, wouldn't it be preferable to make them regret and bear the sins of killing their one and only creator for the rest of their lives?
The shame and remorse that would slowly consume everything within them until there was nothing left.
The vivid memory of them using the blessings that you bestowed upon them to dishonour your divine existence is particularly satisfying.
The effort that you put into everything to get them to the position that they are in right now.
The memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives of how they used everything you blessed them with to get rid of you.
The SAGAU AU fanfictions you've been reading have somewhat convinced you that the characters in the game can actually hear your voice, so occasionally you open the app, play the game, and talk to each character as if you think they can hear you.
The characters with the most heartbreakingly repetitive lines would receive your highest praise and reassurance.
You would hear Zhongli speak his infamous voice line, “Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember, but where are those who share the memory?”
And you would always reply with, “If the universe permits it, I would be delighted to share a drink with you and listen all about the wonderful times you and your loved ones have had together over the years.” In the warmest, and gentlest voice you could muster.
It's possible that you've gone insane because those are only fanfictions, yet you still find amusement on doing it.
And then, all of a sudden, it was as if the heavens had listened to your thoughts and made the decision to send you to the world of your creations, directly in front of the divine statue they had sculpted just for you.
Specifically designed with you in both heart and mind. The very statue that they would bow down to and pay respect to, something that they would look upon with reverence in their eyes.
You, the one who brought them into existence. You, the one who gave them life. You, their one and only creator.
Who would have the audacity to imitate the appearance of our Diving Creator and to step foot on the sacred ground!
Our Goddess was right; now that she has chosen to descend to our humble plane, a great number of people will attempt to copy her and steal her divination while her body is still adjusting to the conditions of our realm.
“Ah,” A sound like a gentle whisper was coming from your mouth. You did not move from where you were seated on the ground, keeping your attention fixed on the floor below you, which featured the most exquisite carvings you had ever seen. A smirk grew on your lips as you tried to stifle the chuckle; perhaps it was a maniacal laughter that was threatening to break forth. Fortunately for their sanity, they were spared the trauma of seeing it.
The fake, as one could have anticipated, displays an excessive amount of caution.
You were familiar with those lines. Where they would straight out deem you as fake. Imposter AU, huh? Then you guess that there’s no need to negotiate. After all, all of them will act like rabid dogs and probably decapitate you.
You slowly lifted your head, revealing long, wavy, glittering white hair that had fallen to the ground and was streaming down your back. The color of your hair was the most pristine that any human being could ever hope to witness. And your eyes. If one were to stare into them, they would be as dark as the abyss, and upon doing so, they would reveal the universe that is contained inside themselves. It appears to be a reflection of the night sky, where stars would shine brightly in honor of the one who nurtures the world, one whom they would always protect and one whom they would always look after.
As their attention was drawn to your face, those who were entrusted with the responsibility of guarding the sacred grounds began to tense up. The eye that had the most loving gaze was staring at them, as though the person they suspected of being an imposter is connected with them.
The imposter observed them in a manner like to that of a mother observing her children.
Despite their threats, they saw how you continued to lovingly glance at them with a hint of curiosity, perhaps wondering why they are so hostile to you.
Seeing them come to a complete halt makes you feel amused, but you keep up the act as if you are a compassionate and forgiving divine entity. However, at the bottom of your heart, you secretly wish for them to be ashamed by the way in which they regarded you as a fake.
Are you too vicious with your thoughts? Maybe.
Are you meant to ignore all of it simply because they are completely devoted to you?
Then why aren't they able to recognize that the imposter, who you believe was probably seated on the throne and bearing the title of God of the Gods, is the one who is being deceitful?
Is it because of your appearance?
You maintained your position on the ground, staying perfectly still as you watched them patiently while keeping your amusement well veiled in your eyes.
The only thing that can be seen by them is a stunning woman who is smiling warmly in answer to their presence. Simply the fact that the woman was watching them caused them to increase the pressure they applied to the grips of their spears and swords.
The wind that was not intended to enter the enclosed place unexpectedly caressed their bodies as if it were talking to them—
Do not hurt our Creator.
The grounds trembled, as if enthusiastic and pleased to be blessed with your presence, that their Creator was willing to dirty their feet to step on the land. The grounds were evidently happy that their Creator was willing to bless them with your presence.
It's not even an exaggeration to say that the entire Teyvat, the first child of the Creator, is likely experiencing an incredible amount of joy just from recognizing your divinity.
The big and broad doors swung open with a bang, and the glances that your beloved and wonderful acolytes gave you as they heard that someone was copying their dear God seared deep holes into your skull. In all honesty, you would prefer to stay and witness how they will act from that point on.
My, my… You thought. Have their IQs decreased dramatically in the span of a single night as a direct result of the arrival of the real fake?
The holy grounds are far too little for a game of "hide and seek," despite how much you love to have fun playing with them. You can't wait to discover how they will deal with someone they have identified as an imposter like yourself. You are patient, and you will embrace everything they will give you.
You would counteract any evil intended for you with acts of kindness. You, in turn, wish they wouldn't let you down as the shame destroys them from the inside out.
After all, it's hard to see a mother being the source of any kind of harm to her children.
If they wish to hurt you, then so be it.
You wonder.
Who will kill you first?
Them?
Or yourself?
You heard them running after you as you escaped the place, which you didn't find particularly difficult. Your lips formed an unconscious sneer as you ran, not too fast, and not too slow. You want them to catch up to you so that everyone may play together.
And perhaps, if they decide to give you the performance you want to witness, you would forgive as any other benevolent being would.

your name etched on my skin as I wait for all eternity (KazuScara + Tomo)
Tumblr media
PART 2/3
SOULMATE AU (with HE)
Summary: where your soulmate's name appears on your skin, but what if your soulmate doesn't have your name engraved on his skin?
Note: Kazuha's friend is called Tomo as always. Kazuha and Tomo's relationship is platonic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Oh hey, Kazuha! Tomo! You’re here!”
“Is everything alright?”
Gorou gave them an enthusiastic nod and a beaming smile as he approached them.
"We have a new member who will be an asset to the resistance."
“Oh?” Kazuha arched his brow, and almost immediately he felt fascinated. With a sweet smile, he acknowledged the new addition.
A young man with an innocent face, but only if he chooses to ignore the disturbing sensation of disappointment and hatred that looms behind him. The boy is an inch shorter than him, and as he stood behind the general, he almost looked like a curious child.
His gaze was fixed on his own, but Kazuha couldn't tell whether the boy liked him or not. He didn't sense animosity or anything from the other man, but his heart tugged when the other man broke their eye contact and pretended that he didn't even exist.
His heart pounded in a strange, and unpredictable manner. He feels like their new addition is far too lovely, almost as if he is royalty or a God gazing down on them.
Kazuha chose to ignore the bubbling sensation in his chest, smiled gently, albeit awkwardly at his own disturbing thoughts.
“May I have the honor of knowing your name?”
He waited patiently, a small feeling of excitement creeping up inside of him in anticipation of hearing the other man's voice. Kazuha did not take his attention from Kunikuzushi, which caused Kunikuzushi's annoyance.
Kunikuzushi heaved an exasperated sigh, then stared at Kazuha once more before speaking softly and calmly, “Kunikuzushi.”
Indeed, he possesses a very captivating voice. The sound was monotonous yet gentle, and it was just the right balance for him to get addicted on it.
"Kazuha Kaedehara." He responded, noting how the other man appeared to already know who he was before continuing his words, "It is a pleasure to meet you," he added, extending his hand to the other for a handshake, which Kunikuzushi reluctantly accepted.
"And he's Tomo," Kazuha decided to add, pointing to Tomo, who was chatting with Gorou.
“My soulmate.”
Kunikuzushi's throat felt dry, and his body stiffened all of a sudden.
When Kazuha noticed that the other man was fidgety when their hands touched, he felt he was very adorable. Almost like a small, cautious cat. He almost laughed at how cute that was, but then he noticed a flash of hurt around the man.
He frowned, attentively eyeing the dark-haired man to check whether it was simply his imagination. However, seeing nothing out of the ordinary, he opted to just leave it be.
"I'm looking forward to working with you," Kazuha said softly, his smile sincere, only for the other man to cast a disinterested glance his way, give him the cold shoulder, and turn his back on him.
Despite this, Kazuha can't help but be drawn to him.
"How mesmerizing."
Tumblr media
During his time working for the resistance, Kunikuzushi formed friendships, although unreal ones, and he also has that annoying soulmate who always questions him and irritates him almost every second of the day.
"Pardon my inquisitiveness, but may I ask if there is a particular reason why you are working together with the resistance?” Kazuha questioned, sitting near the man he felt was staring at him earlier when he spoke with Tomo.
"Do I really need a reason?" Kunikuzushi scoffed, scrunching up his nose, making Kazuha chuckle as Kunikuzushi struggled to ignore the itchy sensation on his chest.
"You don't seem to have a vision after all," Kazuha hummed, gazing into the sky as he spoke.
“I want to kill, is that not enough reason?” Kunikuzushi rolled his eyes, preparing to stand up.
But the moment he did, he was yanked back down.
Kazuha gripped his wrist and looked at him with his normal compassionate face.
But Kunikuzushi is able to detect when somebody is giving him a look that isn't particularly kind, regardless of how hard they attempt to mask their true feelings behind a friendly front.
And since he has lived for hundreds of years, he is aware that he has in some way caused Kazuha to be upset or furious at him.
"I can always tell when you're looking at me intently. If it's not me that you're staring at, then it's Tomo. Why don’t you humor me?”
Kunikuzushi shrugged his shoulders, quickly withdrew his hand, and then rubbed his hand that had been touched in order to get rid of that warm, annoying sensation.
The warmth and roughness of Kazuha's hand was almost too pleasant to bear. After an exhausting search for his soulmate spanning hundreds of years, he used to wish that he could hold his hands as he slept so that he could rest peacefully. However, now, that is nothing more than just a stupid dream.
Why offer him a sliver of his warmth when Kazuha will never be able to give him all of it?
"I hate both of you. I can't stand your face. Satisfied?”
A dazed expression appeared on Kazuha's face as he blinked. He had not been expecting anything like that at all. If he were to remember, there was nothing that he had ever done that would have caused the man to despise him; after all, they had never met before.
“May I ask if there’s a reason why?”
"Do I really need a reason?" Kunikuzushi scoffed.
“If I want to hate you, I’ll hate you.”
But Kunikuzushi knows that no matter how much he convinces himself that he loathes the man, the scorching ache in his chest will remind him otherwise.
‘Because if I wanted to stop waiting, then I would’ve done so a long time ago.’
"Because perhaps if I had just stopped waiting and foolishly loving you, I could have been spared from this bitter ending."
Kazuha silently watches as the boy turns around to leave, secretly wishing that he could seize his entire person and just pin him to the ground. And yet, for some inexplicable reason, the forgotten name that was engraved on the back of his neck began to burn as if it were reacting to his very own emotions.
Tumblr media
“Kuni.”
Kunikuzushi turned around, stunned to see Kazuha smiling softly at him. It would have been wonderful if he hadn't discovered that his soulmate has another soulmate.
Ignorance is truly bliss.
“If you want to say something, then say it.”
“I’m going somewhere.”
“And why would I care?”
Of course, he cares. Otherwise, why would he stay and fight for the resistance just to keep Kazuha safe from his mother's army?
After hearing the comment, Kazuha laughed because he had the impression that Kunikuzushi's responses are becoming even more sarcastic whenever it comes to him. It is very adorable, he thinks.
Kunikuzushi did nothing but stare at him, perplexed as to why he was so interested in the outside world when he had just been created. If he had continued to be unaware of the meaning of the name that was still etched on his chest, he never would have attempted to integrate himself into this wanderer's life.
In the past, simply seeing the name would make him feel happy and contented.
But now, whenever he sees it, all it does is serve as a constant reminder that he will spend eternity by himself and that the name on his chest only existed to fool him into willingly jumping straight into the depths of the abyss.
The fact that he wasted hundreds of years looking for a man who doesn't even know he exists will remind him how stupid he was for even thinking that his soulmate also wants him.
Kazuha's voice was quiet as he spoke the following words, "Please look after Tomo in my stead."
“I thought I told you I hate y—”
“I’m quite aware of that,” Kazuha replied with a stupid smile on his face.
“But this is important, I need to find something.”
Kunikuzushi couldn't help but give in when he heard Kazuha's pleading voice. He’s just that stupid, isn’t he?
“Make it fast. This time, I might really get tired of waiting.”
Kazuha chuckled, even though he had no idea what the significance of those words was. As he got closer, he gave the other man a light ruffle to his hair while maintaining an amused demeanor.
"I will. After all, you told me you're an impatient person." He smiled sincerely, the name on the back of his neck faintly burning.
Tumblr media
Kunikuzushi kept his promise, making damn sure Tomo was not putting himself in danger. Isn't his current situation extremely stupid? To believe that there would come a day when he will be protecting his soulmate's other soulmate when deep down, all he wants to do is break them apart.
To make them feel the misery he's been going through for hundreds of years.
But seeing Kazuha's smile always seems to dispel that nasty thought of his.
With each passing day, he is coming to terms with the reality that Kazuha will never be his. Not while he already has someone in his life. He is not so petty as to want to drive them apart just because of what he has been through in the past.
Who even told him to wait stupidly for hundreds of years anyways? He could have joined his mother in the Plane of Euthymia instead, protecting himself from any types of harm.
Then perhaps he wouldn’t feel like living was a tiring routine for him as an immortal.
Months.
It’s been months since Kazuha left.
But who knows, those months could stretch into years, leaving him with nothing but pain all over again.
His mother was right; he wouldn't be able to take it after all.
So, he decided.
He will follow the agreement he made with Ei and accompany her for eternity inside the Plane of Euthymia once he is finally ready.
That was his purpose anyways.
It is not necessary for Kazuha to be aware of the true reason behind his hatred towards them, he doesn’t need to know. There is no reason for him to harbor any feelings of guilt over anything. The only thing he will remember from his life is coming across an impatient man named Kunikuzushi who despises him to the core. That is all he should remember.
That’s enough.
He's also exhausted of waiting and waiting. He wants to rest and maybe have the name removed from his chest. If he remembers his mother's stories correctly, the God of Wisdom is capable of doing so. Should he try it?
"I’m going to challenge the shogun."
"You're being stupid."
"Oh, come on, there should be anyone who can withstand the Musou no Hitotachi!"
Kunikuzushi rolled his eyes in annoyance. "And it’s definitely not you."
Tomo laughed, patting Kunikuzushi on the back and asking, "Why don’t I give it a try then?"
"Your soulmate told me to babysit you, so just sit down and stop trying to get yourself into danger."
"Aw, you’re no fun."
Even after a number of days had gone, there was still no indication that Kazuha would be returning any time soon. Kunikuzushi always receives letters from him wondering about how Tomo is doing, how Tomo's health is, if Tomo has been getting into dangers, and just all things regarding his foolish soulmate.
But now, it seemed to have stopped.
Most likely, this is due to the fact that he wrote Kazuha a note stating that he will be leaving today and going back to the place he came from.
Was he that concerned that Tomo would end up in the wrong hands if he abandoned him?
Kunikuzushi mused about his naivety, thinking about how foolish he was to pine for a man who would never love him regardless of how much he tried to wait for him or win his affection. At best, all he is doing is being a bother to the soulmates who are completely in love with one another.
“I’m going to return.” Kunikuzushi spoke up while Tomo's gasp at him caused him to roll his eyes.
"So, do not think about leaving this place and avoid putting yourself in serious trouble, at least not until your beloved soulmate returns home."
“Are you finally returning to Tenshukaku?”
Kunikuzushi furrowed his brow as he noticed that Tomo was looking at him in a serious manner.
“So you already know?”
“Well, the feather kinda gave it away.”
“Looks like you’re not stupid like your soulmate then, that’s good.”
"And Kazuha?" Tomo questioned, flashing a grin when the other man gave a reaction to his words.
“What about him?”
“I know when someone is inlove, Kuni.”
Kunikuzushi responded with a disdainful chuckle and a sarcastic cocking of the head to the side while asking, "Why? Want me to get him off your hands?”
Tomo did not respond and instead just looked at him in silence.
“Don’t worry. I’ve wasted too much time mingling with humans anyw—”
“How much time then?” Tomo asked, smiling in the process. “Was it hundreds of years? Four hundred? Five hundre—”
Tomo came to a halt in his sentence when lightning suddenly struck. He locked his gaze on the other man's face, who was looking at him with absolute seriousness, as if saying one more word would be the cause of his demise.
Nonetheless, he mustered the courage to speak when the other man was already prepared to leave.
“Don’t go.”
“I told Kazuha to go back to his hometown so he should know by now. If you leave, then—”
“I don’t need your fucking pity.” Kunikuzushi glared, his hands quivering as his chest began to burn once more.
Why now? Why now! He’s already tired of waiting!
He already made plans! Remove the name Kaedehara Kazuha from his chest and from his life! Yet this fool wanted to be a hero instead?
100 years—
200 years—
300 years— 400— and 500! He spent a long time waiting for that fool, dragging his exhausted body along to keep on searching and searching. And now that he’s already tired of everything, he’ll only start making an effort to know him?
The audacity!
He clenched his teeth in frustration, grasping the taller man by his clothes.
“You wanted to see the Musou no Hitotachi in person, didn’t you?”
He is outraged, but he understands that Tomo ought to be thanked for informing Kazuha. Since he has no plans on telling the man before he leaves, he supposes it’s fine this way.
Tomo silently gave a nod.
“Then fucking follow me.”

As the two of them stood before the puppet Raiden Shogun, Tomo's eyes actually sparkled with excitement and happiness.
Kunikuzushi remained close behind Tomo the entire time. He was holding a blade in his hand that he had picked up somewhere along the way, most likely from one of the members of the resistance.
"How long do you think you can hold out?"
Tomo turned his head to look at the other man, and with a smug smirk pasted across his face, he questioned, "Why? Are you worried for me?"
Kunikuzushi responded with a click of his tongue.
"You may think I'm doing this for you, but I truly desire to see it."
“I see.”
"Enough babbling." Kujou Sara scowled as she announced the starting of the challenge.
“The defeated face divine punishment, while the victors gain a second chance.”
And then, the duel before the throne officially started.
Tumblr media
Kazuha did not pay attention to the agony that was developing in his legs as he continued to run as quickly as possible. In his hand was a letter from his ancestors, along with a photo of a boy who looked precisely like Kunikuzushi standing next to a man who had the same red streak of hair as him.
"It's been years, and I'm already at the end of my time. However, Kuni still hasn't given up on waiting for his soulmate called Kaedehara Kazuha. Who the hell is that kid anyways? I might just steal Kuni for myself if he doesn’t appear soon,”
"He told me that he is willing to wait for eternity. He's such a sweet little boy, truly a gentle soul. His soulmate must be extremely fortunate to have him."
"I am very lucky indeed," Kazuha murmured through clenched teeth. He was furious with himself because he had made the decision to forget about the name that was engraved on the back of his neck when it was originally what he received.
Someone has been waiting for him for hundreds of years, but he has chosen to ignore his mark. Because he has Tomo, and he believes he doesn't need any other companion than his friend. While his real soulmate is searching and waiting for him out there, almost losing hope but still persevering, he was with a friend traveling the world without thinking about anything or anyone else.
Does Kuni sleep well at night while thinking of his soulmate? Tch, what an absurd question.
"I once questioned him why he doesn't give up on finding a man who most likely doesn't exist, at least not right now. That stubborn child, on the other hand, told me it was because he's a puppet, and puppets aren't supposed to have soulmates. And he even stated that Kazuha might be the person who would fill his empty heart."
"I did have a theory that the Kaedehara Kazuha is someone who hasn't yet been born into this world... I told Kuni, but that stubborn child insisted he didn't care and would still wait! That maybe he was endowed with immortality for the sake of waiting for his soulmate.”
Kazuha laughed dryly as he ran, picturing Kunikuzushi as a child, sulking and most likely crossing his arms as he spoke those words.
“He's naive, yet he has the purest heart of all of us, despite his insistence that he's a puppet with no heart.”
He’s truly lucky to have someone who would wait for him for eternity, isn’t he? But he can't say the same thing about Kuni; he must be feeling unlucky to be waiting for a soulmate who already has another soulmate. Although Tomo isn't exactly his soulmate.
Perhaps this is why Kunikuzushi seemed to despise him despite the fact that they had never met before.
Just imagining the pain that Kuni went through when he found out that he has another soulmate who is not him makes him want to shower his face with kisses and apologize until he loses his voice.
Kazuha can't even express how much he wants he could go back in time and tightly embrace the boy.
He was filled with anxiety when he received a letter from his Kuni informing him that he would be returning to his place shortly. He is frightened by the idea of never seeing him again.
“This time, I might really get tired of waiting.”
Is he tired? Is he finally tired of waiting now? No— please—
And now he was even more anxious after receiving a letter from Gorou stating that the two had decided to duel the shogun.
He ran as fast as he could, utilizing his vision to speed up. He jumped from one roof to the next, hoping he wasn't too late.
They haven't even properly introduced themselves to each other. He desires to hug him, to kiss him, to hear his genuine laughter and to see his smile.
The name on the back of his neck burned so pleasantly and sweetly, finally realizing that the boy who always seemed impatient with him and usually sarcastic at his responses was his one and only soulmate.
"Wait for me. Please, Kuni, wait for me once more." He whispered to himself, hoping that the Gods would hear his prayers.
But unfortunately, God cannot grant prayers because it is beyond their power to control fate.
As soon as Kazuha arrived right in front of Tenshukaku, he swiftly landed on the ground, and he was immediately greeted by Tomo's horrified face when Kunikuzushi suddenly flashed in front of him to deflect the powerful attack of the shogun.
“Kunikuzushi!”
“Kuni!”
Clang!
The collision of a regular blade with the sword of the archon resulted in a deafening boom that reverberated throughout the vicinity.
They were shown just how powerful an attack from a God can be when Tomo's electro vision got ripped off from his clothes and fell to the ground because of the force. Truly, there is not a single mortal being capable of withstanding the Musou no Hitotachi.
Should Tomo have been the one to receive the attack, he would have perished instantly, leaving behind not even his ashes for anybody to bury.
Kazuha tried to approach despite the danger, only for Kunikuzushi to use his other hand to toss him his veil, which is imbued with his divine power, to prevent them from suffering the aftereffects of the attack.
"Go," was all Kunikuzushi said, not daring to look back to witness his soulmate's stupid face which he loves very much.
He's scared that looking back will shake his resolve. Kazuha already knows that he's been searching for him, but what difference does that make? The name on Kazuha's wrist will not be changed. It will always remain as Tomo.
Not Kuni, not Kunikuzushi.
Kazuha may have already known. But unfortunately, he has already degenerated into nothing more than a worn-out puppet who wants nothing more than to escape and take a rest. He is no longer capable of looking at him in the face and acting like he hasn't been waiting for him for hundreds of years.
Acting as if watching Kazuha treat Tomo as if he is the center of his world does not cause a scorching burn on his chest.
As Ei seized control of the body, the Raiden Shogun's countenance relaxed. Her heart wrenched at the sight of his dearest son's face.
Tired, and hopeless.
She recalls looking just like this after losing her twin.
It seems that not even her most beloved child was able to avoid the fate of having a similar bittersweet ending as she did.
"You've waited, suffered, and endured for far too long; let us rest this time, my child."
With one final slash, she welcomed a tired Kunikuzushi into the Plane of Euthymia and pulled her child into a tight embrace. After hundreds of years, her son finally cried tears of pain once again. But it will be alright, for they have the entirety of eternity to mend the wounds in their hearts and fortify themselves against the suffering that destiny has in store for them.

your name etched on my skin as I wait for all eternity (KazuScara + Tomo)
Tumblr media
PART 1/3
Soulmate AU (angst with HE)
Summary: where your soulmate's name appears on your skin, but what if your soulmate doesn't have your name engraved on his skin?
Note: Kazuha's friend is called Tomo as always
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Kaedehara Kazuha…”
“Hm?” Ei hummed in surprise as her normally shy and quiet child murmured something. She stopped brushing his hair when she noticed Kunikuzushi tenderly caressing something on his chest.
“Mother…” Kunikuzushi whispered softly, turning around to look up at Ei, his eyes filled with innocence and curiosity as his fingertips gently glided over the name imprinted on his chest.
"What is it?" Ei responded, gently brushing the boy's bangs away from his eyes.
“Kazuha… Kazuha—”
“Kazuha?” Ei asked, puzzled.
She then moved her gaze to the area where her son appears to be touching something, gently gasping as she noticed the newly engraved name blazing brilliantly on her child's chest.
There on her child’s chest, small letters were engraved.
The name Kaedehara Kazuha, burning brightly in a shade of red.
“Oh, Kuni…” Ei sighed, taking Kunikuzushi into her embrace and gently patted his hair in a comforting manner.
“Mother, why are there letters on my chest?” Kunikuzushi asked politely, allowing himself to be embraced. Ei looked down at his son, who was probing the letters on his chest with innocent curiosity.
“It’s the name of your soulmate, my child.”
From the comfort of her mother's arms, Kunikuzushi glanced up slightly and cocked his head to the side, looking obviously troubled.
“Mother, are puppets even allowed to have soulmates?”
There was complete silence, and all they could hear was the sound of birds chirping outside.
“Of course— of course…” Ei responded with a tinge of doubt after some time. She has never encountered anything like this before, and she never even considered that one of her creations might have a soul mate.
Makoto, her twin, and the person she considered to be her soulmate, passed away. It would be an understatement to say that it caused so much pain. She felt that she also died and that her soul had been shattered into bits, but no one was there to help her pick the pieces back up again.
Grieving was difficult but coming to terms with the fact that she would spend the rest of her life without her soulmate was even more difficult and frustrating for her.
Therefore, she created a puppet. Something that will be with her for all of eternity as she slowly tries to raise herself back up.
Kunikuzushi smiled softly as he gently caressed his skin with his fingertips. A companion for life, doesn’t that sound very lovely?
When he says the name Kazuha, he gets butterflies in his stomach and feels like bursting with excitement. The name just felt so appropriate in his tongue.
“Mother…”
Ei felt both anxiety and relief when she watched his child smile at her with bright eyes.
“I think I feel happy… is that… is that how humans call it?” Kunikuzushi asked with some uncertainty, entirely oblivious to the conflicting emotions that his mother was experiencing.
“Yes… yes, it is.”
The thunderous throbbing in Ei's chest did not even slightly subside as she clutched the boy even tighter. She wants to spare her child from going through what she did in terms of pain, but how can she even have the heart to stop him from going after his soulmate?
Kunikuzushi is a child who is full of goodwill and wonder at the world around him. Her son has a restrained personality, but once he becomes interested in anything, he is like a moth drawn to a flame; he can't help but pursue it.
Ei took a deep breath, observing how determined her son appears to meet and see his soulmate. She realizes she can't keep him forever, especially because his child has a soulmate somewhere in this world. It is only a matter of time before they cross paths.
She wishes, however, that her son will have the happy ending that she desired for herself, rather than the bittersweet one that she has received.
“Well then Kuni, would you like to come with me?”
Tumblr media
“It’s the shogun!”
They all bowed down to Ei as soon as they saw her, and at the same time, they were all wondering who was the boy that was clutching their archon's hand. But once they noticed the similarity, they immediately understood everything.
"To what ways may we assist the great and almighty shogun?"
Ei acknowledged their presence with a hum and a nod, then gestured for all of them to raise their heads.
“I suppose a long conversation will be needed.”
They all moved quickly to comply with their archon's requests, and Kunikuzushi was more than happy to follow them and listen to their conversation about a person named "Kaedehara Kazuha."
He felt anxious, pleased, worried, and excited all at the same time. He was created to be together with his creator for all eternity, but fate seems to have other plans for him.
Every being has their own soulmate, and him not having one before is a slap in the face that reminds him that he is simply a puppet.
Thus, when he felt something burning in his chest, he was scared because he thought that he was experiencing some kind of malfunction.
And when he found out from his mother that he had finally earned a soulmate, he felt a sense of relief.
"Kazuha— Kazuha— Kazuha—" Kunikuzushi muttered under his breath as he tightened his grip on his mother's hand, a little smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he thought about how pleasant and comforting the name sounded.
Tumblr media
But, just as fate unexpectedly decided to grant him a soulmate, it appears that fate has something more in store for him.
“We are sorry to inform you that we are not familiar with anyone by the name of Kaedehara Kazuha, nor do we have any record of him in our family tree.”
"How is that even possible? Or has a member of your clan left Inazuma?"
In response, they shook their heads. “Everyone carrying the name Kaedehara is gathered here as we speak, our almighty shogun. There is no one with the name Kazuha, not even our children or ancestors.”
“Please accept our apologies, almighty shogun.” They all bowed down before Ei in an act of shame, but Ei didn't seem to notice or care. The fact that Kunikuzushi's palm had become ice-cold and stiff was the thing that concerned her the most.
Thump — thump.
Why—? Why?
Kunikuzushi felt as if his non-existent heart had plunged to the lowest ground in the abyss, his heart aching in desperation.
He was excited before, so why is it different now?
Mother— mother— what is this feeling? I can’t move… everything feels so heavy.
It didn’t take long for Ei to notice that her son was feeling sadness by the way his head drooped low and his hand trembling in her hold.
Her heart broke as she witnessed her child's mental breakdown. Her worst nightmare seems to be coming true.
"Notify me if you come across somebody using that name," With those final words, she turned around and carefully led her child out of the house, wrapping an arm around his shaking form while raising her other hand to block everyone else from approaching any closer.
Ei accompanied her child with patience. Each step Kunikuzushi takes feels extremely challenging, as if his body were too heavy to even comply with his requests.
His cheeks feel a light breeze that seems to be providing some sort of solace.
“Mother, what is happening to m—”
Before he could even complete his sentence, Ei had already wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. His body immediately began to convulse into sobs that he had no idea his body was even capable of doing so. Large teardrops streamed down his cheeks, leaving stains on his clothing while Ei softly soothed the youngster while caressing his hair.
Ei felt like crying as she listened to the boy whimper gently as he gasped for air and gave out noises of misery that broke her heart. It appeared as though she was seeing herself from her child when her twin perished.
“It’s alright, my Kuni.”
Kunikuzushi stifled a quaking sob as he clung to his mother for dear life, acting as though he would be sucked into the ground the moment he released his grip on her.
“Don’t lose hope, I will help you look for him.”
Tumblr media
100 years have passed and there is still no man going by the name Kazuha— but the people of his clan decided to treat him like one of their own, and he even made a friend while waiting for his soulmate.
Niwa was a gentle person who treated Kunikuzushi as if he were his younger brother despite the fact that Kunikuzushi was older than him.
He even sought to assist him in his search for Kaedehara Kazuha in their spare time, to the point where it became a routine for them.
He was grateful for the time they had spent together, though he wished it had been "Kazuha" who had created those memories with him.
200 years— Kunikuzushi lost that friend due to old age, but he kept a promise that he would always look after his descendants.
300 years— He was beginning to show signs of becoming frustrated. It was beginning to feel like there was no hope for him, and he was becoming irritated and frightened. Something he had no idea he was capable of feeling, or that he could feel. It's likely that he's become too accustomed to interacting with humans, and as a result, he's beginning to act like one.
Throughout his life, he surrounded himself with humans, but eventually, they were all doomed to perish.
What if it's all simply a cruel joke played by fate?
What if the name that is written on his chest is completely made up? But somehow, he wants to wait more, maybe a little bit more.
He always has enough time to wait.
He doesn’t really mind waiting for all eternity.
Hundreds of years had passed, and he was still patiently waiting— how long had it been? 400? 500? He may be a puppet endowed with immortality, but that doesn't mean he doesn't get tired of waiting.
Every day, he wakes up with a deep aching in his chest, wanting for something, for someone, to fill the void.
Will he spend the rest of his days just waiting and waiting?
'Kazuha— Kazuha— how much longer must I wait for you? Are you waiting for me as well? Do you also need me as much as I need you?'
When Kunikuzushi returned to where his mother resides, he was met with the Sakoku Decree as well as the Vision Hunt Decree. Ever since he gained his mother's permission to search for his soulmate, he has been fully aware that she is already planning for it.
He walked quietly to Tenshukaku, his steps as light as the wind, and the shogunate soldiers didn't bother checking him because of the golden feather he wears to represent his relationship with the shogun.
He entered the doors, and the Raiden Shogun, another puppet used by his mother, acknowledged his presence, as though knowing of his arrival.
“Mother.”
The Raiden Shogun's face was expressionless as she looked at him.
"Kuni, have you decided to return?" The Raiden Shogun spoke up unexpectedly, although her tone is cheerful at the sight of him.
Kunikuzushi hummed in response, moving closer to the Raiden Shogun, who immediately hugged him lovingly.
“Is everything alright, mother?”
Ei sighed as the Raiden Shogun shook her head.
“I’ve found some information about Kaedehara Kazuha.”
Tumblr media
“Resistance, huh…”
“Hm. Apparently, he is working together with the resistance.”
Kunikuzushi fiddled with his finger subconsciously, unsure if he should ask his mother whether he could go there or not.
Ei sighed deeply as she witnessed her son's habit. She not only acquired information on where Kaedehara Kazuha is staying, but she also received information about the boy's soulmate.
She couldn't bear it the first time she watched her child sob so intensely.
But now another challenge has been thrown in front of her child. The last thing Ei wants Kunikuzushi to experience is despair.
So how will he react when he discovers that the man named Kaedehara Kazuha has a soulmate named Tomo?
"Don't go," was all Ei could say.
"But mother," Kunikuzushi swallowed, something rising in his chest. "I've been waiting for him for almost 500 years— I want to see him— I want to meet him..."
"You've been waiting for him and seeking for him for almost 500 years," Ei said with a trace of fury, not for her child, but for herself. "But did he ever make even a single attempt to find you?"
The words that his mother had just spoken caused Kunikuzushi to pause and blink in response.
Was he — was he the only one making the effort for them to cross paths?
"Mother," he started saying, but Ei interrupted him right away.
"I'll give you one more chance," Ei murmured before kissing her child on the forehead. He doesn't want her child to be hurt, but she can't keep him in the dark while his soulmate has another soulmate he loves.
"But if you can't take it— return and don't leave anymore. Stay with me in Tenshukaku, and I will keep you safe."
Kunikuzushi was worried and confused, nodding absentmindedly in response to his mother's words.
What can't he stand? He's been waiting a long time, so why is his mother acting as if he won't be able to accept everything?
Is there something dreadful waiting for him at the resistance's base?
He left Tenshukaku with a muddled mind, still recovering from what his mother had spoken.
"Kazuha— Kazuha— Kazuha—" He tried saying, wanting to receive comfort whenever he speaks of his soulmate’s name, completely unaware of how his voice trembled.
The name, for some reason, does not bring him any comfort; instead, it makes his chest feel heavy. It almost feels like the same feeling he had experienced when he first cried back then.
Tumblr media
What awaited him at the Resistance's base was completely unexpected.
Was this what his mother meant? How he wouldn't be able to take it?
His fingertips began scratching his chest, attempting to claw it out, rip his flesh, and pretend that the name Kaedehara Kazuha did not exist at all.
On top of a rock stood two soulmates, too close for his own liking.
His crimson streak on his hair resembles that of his old friend. He noticed a name on the samurai's wrist, even if it was only for a split second.
Tomo.
It's not Kunikuzushi, Kuni, or Kabukimono that he used to go around with.
And the man who is standing next to his soulmate.
He resents how he patted the samurai with the red streak hair on his hair, causing his sleeves to roll up.
Because there was a very recognizable letter engraved on his wrist that he also carries on his chest.
Kaedehara Kazuha.
"The vision quest decree is causing a lot of stress for everyone... but at least I have my soulmate beside me."
It hurts—
"I am truly fortunate to have you," Kazuha spoke to the other man, chuckling softly before blowing into the fallen leaf.
It hurts—
Mother, why am I feeling this way? Was this how you felt when you lost your soulmate?
He wants to scream, stab himself in the chest, or delude himself into thinking the name written on his chest was a mistake. That it was not supposed to be Kaedehara Kazuha.
That he was not supposed to wait hundreds of years for him.
That he was not meant to ever meet him.
That he was not supposed to get hurt at all!
Why give him a soulmate who already has another soulmate!?
Is this what he had hoped for after hundreds of years of waiting?
He sneered and scratched his chest until he bled. Why, after all, do puppets bleed? Why isn't he more like the Raiden Shogun? Incapable to feel emotions. Maybe if he were more like that puppet, he wouldn't be feeling this way.
“Kazuha—” He muttered under his breath. “Where can I fit inside your life?”
“I fucking hate you.”
"But I hate myself even more for wanting to keep waiting for you."
Kazuha blinked, , turning his head to gaze at the spot where he thought someone had just called his name.
"Is something wrong?"
"No," Kazuha answered, shaking his head.
"But I felt a tug in my heart somehow."

Hello!
I have read some of your stories and I LOVE them! Reading some of your work has made me want to write some of my own Genshin fanfic. If you don’t mind, do you have any advice for writing fanfic in general? I absolutely admire what you’ve written and am hoping to get some advice if that’s okay? I have a passion for writing fanfiction, but every time I try to it doesn’t turn out right and I’m hoping you can help me?
Aaaaaa... fhasdgsdg, I'm really the worst person you can ask for advice when it comes to writing ;;; having a passion for writing fanfiction is good! Of course, there will always be a time when our stories won't turn out right (which always happens to me on a daily basis LMAO) but I advise you to just revise and revise and understand or feel your character more (no, don't caress them). Think of the countless possibilities or scenarios you can put into making it right. Or read other fanfictions to gain more insights on how you should do this and do that- also, think of a good writing prompt so you won't feel lost once you start drafting! (you can always slide into my dms for help ;))))
+++ it's always good to have a character study first before starting the fanfic (tho, I don't do that and just start doing boom boom bakudan. meh, wherever it will take me, I'll take it)
