I love Gradley but hate stigmatization of gay relationships. Wheatley isn't a poor miserable pathetic sissy boy that needs to be babied and taken care of. Gay (mlm) relationships don't need to be boiled down to "who wears the pants" or which one is the softie and which one is the strong protector. That just contributes to already existing stigmatization against gay people.

Just giving my thoughts on this since I'm thinking out loud tonight. I love Gradley! And Wheatley IS traumatized. But I can't help but feel some of the art I've been seeing is like... sissifying Wheatley while at the same time awkwardly romanticizing his trauma.

And I write all of this as a gay man who is very traumatized, I live with my gay partner who has helped me through so much of my trauma, and I'm saying some of this stuff is a little odd.

It's definitely not the worst the internet has given, not nearly "problematic" as much more apparent issues. But hey, it's something to be aware of. Wheatley doesn't need to be a soft crybaby boy for big strong Grady to nurture and take care of. They're both great and strong characters in their own rights. Wheatley can take care of himself and doesn't need to be infantilized, let alone any other gay man. Just don't infantilize gay people idk
