the game isn't too hard, you're just blatantly obtuse. if you don't take full advantage of every single one of the game's mechanics, you are hamstringing yourself and inhibiting your own abilities. every single problem that people have when playing dark souls is EXPRESSLY due to their own stubbornness, lack of basic reading comprehension, and refusal to read and pay attention. your game sense is lacking. you're lost because you didn't talk to every single NPC you see until their dialogue repeats like you're supposed to do in literally every single jrpg. you didn't scrape the walls to find every item. you got tilted because you lost a couple thousand souls, a negligible sum. you somehow missed the BASIC GAME MECHANIC of suicide runs to grab items and then saying fuck it I don't need that bloodstain because I got the item which is permanent. you didn't read every single item description when you got them. you read a strategy guide by ign that told you to parry so you never learned how to roll dodge effectively. you didn't have enough estus because you didn't kindle the bonfire because you didn't make intelligent use of your humanity and you wouldn't have needed it anyway if you would just level ONE ATTUNEMENT SLOT and faith to a basic level to use the heal spell (oh and the astora straight sword which is literally the best weapon you can get without fighting any boss or going past the skeletons. also the ASS has divine and can easily kill the skeletons lmao). anor londo kicked your ass because you didn't use the force miracle, which makes a pathetic joke of the rafter fight AND the greatarchers. ornstein & smough kicked your ass because you use a shield as a crutch and never learned to play the game properly. you only made it to them in the first place because you rammed your head into a brick wall until the RNG just happened to align in your favor and let you win; you didn't earn the gargoyles or quelaag or any of the bosses, they just randomly did only the moves you learned to avoid were lucky enough not to get hit by. you spam R1 until you're out of stamina, you try to roll but don't, you die, and you rage and call the game bad design. you mid roll because you wear default armor that doesn't protect you from any substantial damage. EVERYTHING IN DARK SOULS IS YOUR OWN FAULT EXCEPT FOR THE THINGS THAT NOBODY FUCKING COMPLAINS ABOUT. which is the atrociously bad collision, physics engine, hitboxes, animations, framerate jank, movement, camera, basically all of the actual game stuff. people only bitch about their own incompetence. it's so tiring. I hate dark souls. I hate that it exists. I hate its impact. I hate the toxicity it brings forth. but what I hate most of all is everyone having been coddled so hard by bethesda game design that they expect it to hand everything to them on a silver platter like skyrim does. give me a map marker daddy, let me save scum daddy, give me a difficulty slider daddy, don't bother having any rpg mechanics daddy todd it's FINE
