that "niall dreamt ronan to sell him" theory is looking more and more viable actually. what i'm Thinking is that mór promised herself to boudicca as a dreamer, it became clear they were going to use her until she didn't recognize herself anymore, and niall took her (both of their) forest n gave it a human-shaped suit n planned to trade it to boudicca for mór. he casually promised the greywaren to so many people it doesn't seem like he cared much for it
the biggest tragedy of this theory would be if in his head, niall was being some kind of Hero for his ex-wife and real son, and then everything unfolds the way it does anyway because rugged irish mythology heroes who ignore & traumatize their families for adventure don't actually get the happy endings they expect.
the real tragedy of this theory is when in 20 years fenianiall says to declan, "they'll use him until you don't recognize him" about the kid who was built specifically to be used until he's unrecognizable, & declan is like i love my brother so much. i would NEVER let ANYONE exploit him.

Wait I’m confused about that group of screenshots about Adam you just reblogged…is it a theory that bryde is a dreamed Adam? I’m consumed everyone in the notes is just like OH NO LOL
oh boy this is a can of worms. to answer your question in the simplest way... yes but also no.
now i'm going to preface this by saying I saw this theory appear ages ago, right before mister impossible just came out and a bit afterwards. there are definitely posts that explain it better than I am going to, but I went through my tags and I can't find a single one of them except this but it doesn't so much 'explain' it, more like draws parallels. i don't really remember a lot of it in detail tbh, and I'm not sure how much I agree with either of them, but there are two main ideas
idea 1: is essentially what you said - bryde is a dreamed version of older adam. the main reason for thinking this is mainly that there are a truly uncomfortable amount of hints made to the idea of a 'dream' adam, and also bryde sometimes says things that sound so very adam, and also they're both 'tawny'. honestly i cant tell you much about this theory because tbh I don't really agree with it, but I'm sure the theories tag will have something about it
idea 2: this is the one i am slightly more 👀 about because it's more concerned with the idea that bryde isn't actually adam, but simply dreamt to look like and embody certain characteristics of an older adam. firstly, in call down the hawk in the infamous tomato dream ronan has, ronan is dreaming about an older adam. in this dream, ronan notes that recently "he [adam] had been an adult in all of ronan's dreams." now, at the time I thought the reasoning for this was probably the idea that ronan was seeing that adam has been moving towards his future whereas ronan himself is very much stuck in time, and it was his grief at the idea of whether or not he and adam will have a future manifesting (also back then I was a visionary adam truther skkds). however, when ronan is having this dream, bryde is in his head spouting his cult bullshit which drew a connection between the two of them. in the same way, there are a lot of characteristics bryde has that matches gansey as well, so I don't think it's so much a 'bryde is adam' as it is a 'ronan dreamt bryde to be someone he looks up to, and so he dreamt into bryde bits and pieces of the three people he loves most: niall, adam and gansey.'
in summary im going to have to admit this isn't a hill I would die on. i see where some of it comes from, but ultimately I do personally think the link is slightly too tenous. I'm sorry if this confused you more loool

Befor Greywaren came out I had a huge conspiracy theory that Adam was gonna die...still sad it didnt happen. Tho he's my favorite it would have been so good.
...
Theory/reasons why
-In Call Down the Hawk ch.39 Adam told Ronan he's been scrying at college without telling him and its been more dangerous. The Ronan thought how long is would take for him to learn if adam had died while scrying at Harvard (sounds like foreshadowing)
-Thought Adam was already dead at the end of Call Down the Hawk when he didnt respond to Ronans text but that was disproved in Mister Impossible.
-At the end of Mister Impossible when Ronan ditches his phone after learning Adam was in on the plan Adam goes scrying to find him and it keeps focusing on how he couldnt find him so he scryed more and more further from his body.
-Maggie had posted a reply to a comment on a Instagram post saying she changed alot of Adams involvement in The Dreamer Trilogy due to constant threats she got. Maybe she had plans of killing him but changed it due to the threats.
Impact of this theory (why i love it):
Adam spent weeks trying to contact Ronan ans when he does Ronan gets hurt and betrayed so then Adam scrys to try and reach him but ends up loosing connection with his body. Ronan dosent find out for a while cause hes busy with Bryde (fuck bryde) and once he does either by someone finding Adams body at Harvard or Ronan seeing his soul while dreaming it would be so sad cause the last time he ever got to talk to him he was mad at Adam and Adam lost himself to try to find HIM. It would be such a good turing point for Ronan to see he's loosing the people he loves because of his actions. And idc if Adam ends up staying dead or coming back to life because him dying for Ronan in the first place would be so impactful.

Niall is going to have one line that’s so mean and cold to Declan and that’s the origin of him responding blandly ☺️

the greywaren cover has three (alive) sun dogs, there are three lynch brothers, ronan has repeatedly been compared to a dog, Matthew is golden retriever of a boy, ronan and declan fight like dogs, lynches are know for being fiercely loyal (like dogs)
with this evidence I have concluded that the brothers will all survive

thinking about how matthew will need a sweetmetal to wake up & how declan will obviously get him one because . obviously & how matthew is going to get insanely freaked out and/or resentful about the fact that his existence depends on both his brother's kindness and a medication magical object that could stop working at any moment. in conclusion i'm going to be very normal and fine about this book. thanks everyone

They found themselves standing in the Dutch room, the green wallpaper looking black in the dim. Two empty frames on the wall in front of them, one for each brother.
"What's the deal here," Ronan asked. Any other time Declan would have had the whole story at the ready, but this time he simply said, "They were stolen." (MI chpt 31)
Haunting words. Is this foreshadowing something?
The entirety of Declan's memories could have been destroyed for good by an unkindly dreamer.
Declan's hands felt a little shaky.
"This museum's had enough taken from it," Declan said. (MI chpt 31)
One final theory before I lay this baby to rest and read Greywaren next week.
At some point, were the oldest two Lynch boys abducted by Boudicca, to exploit them (or just Ronan) for their dreaming ability? In order to get them back, was Niall forced to make a Sophie's Choice and leave Declan behind? Maybe Niall thought Declan was more likely to survive, since he was older and less impulsive, and his mother was a member of Boudicca and therefore able to protect him. Maybe Declan even agreed to stay behind so Niall could save Ronan, thinking Niall could come return for him. Maybe this was the event that made Aurora call him "Dauntless Declan" years later.
But Mór did not protect him, and Declan became the victim of unkindly dreamers, and something was stolen from him. Memories? Dreaming ability? That's why Mór flinched when she saw him at the market. I doubt she regretted giving him up - she wasn't cut out to be a mother - but she may have regretted failing to protect him while he was there.
Once Declan was back home, the psychological effect of knowing Niall chose Ronan over him could have been enough to create a rift between the boys. If Ronan was unaware of all this, that might be why he thought Declan always hated him. It could also be why Declan thought Niall did not want him.
Possibly Niall himself modified both their memories later, thinking he was protecting them, but he was really just delaying their healing.

Something I noticed in my Raven Cycle / Dreamer Trilogy reread that I completely missed the first time round is Boudicca quietly building as a threat in the background.
In Call Down the Hawk, Declan is told that Boudicca can’t find out about Ronan.
In Mister Impossible, Jordan is asked (by a member of Boudicca who thinks she and Hennessey are the same person) if she’s still in contact with Ronan Lynch.
Wasn’t even thinking about them at all before my reread, but now I’m wondering if they’re going to come out of the shadows and become major villains.

currently thinking about ronan lynch and how in the dream thieves all of the “revelations” he has in dreams are from information given to him by people in his dreams. like his dreamt version of his father is the one who tells him about the will, opal is the one who tells him that he’s the only greywaren. thinking about how ronan dreamt bryde to guide him and help him, but he couldn’t tell ronan anything he didn’t already know. thinking about how ronan possesses knowledge far beyond what he’s consciously aware of and the only way he can access that information is through dreams.

I love wildly speculating.
Since re-reading Opal, Call Down the Hawk, and Mister Impossible, as well as the Greywaren teasers we’ve gotten, I’ve had a lot of thoughts about Mór Ó Corra (as well as Declan and Ronan...and Niall).
I will be very interested to see what the story is about Niall and Mór and what brought them to Virginia.
It seems very possible that Declan was born in Belfast.
It also seems likely that Mór left Niall and Declan, as opposed to Niall leaving her and just taking Declan, but there was no mention of leaving Ronan behind, too.
Why did they decide to split? Was the relationship failing? Was Niall doing what Niall does and causing more trouble and not cleaning up after himself? Why did Niall dream a copy of himself (the New Fenian)? Was he for Mór? Is Mór also a dreamer (Opal had stated that she had similar qualities to Ronan, more animalness, but some dreamstuff)?
I’m wondering if Ronan is Niall and Aurora’s son. Of if Niall, being the bastard he is, decided to dream a copy of himself as a child, raising him as a son, with his abilities.
Did Niall so dislike Declan and put so much pressure on him because Declan reminded him of Mór? Or was it just that simple that he was a narcissist?
I am growing more convinced that Ronan was either dreamt or was born to a dream. Opal stated that he has animalness, so I think it’s more likely that he’s Aurora’s, rather than being a dream copy.
Waiting for October is going to be BRUAL.
