Amphibia-All In Recap
Andrias begins his invasion of Earth as Anne and Sasha fight for their lives. Spoilers below.
The episode begins with a flashback with the girls causing a dance party in their school. The principal is rather lenient with Sasha and Marcy, who will be fine later in life. But She makes Ann write an essay about who she is.
We flash to the present as the Amphibian army invades LA. The army sends out tanks but Andrias sends out giant herons that take out the tanks. With the help of Frobo, Anne and the others escape. They met up with Mr X and Anne’s parents, who are now sporting some Halo type armor and lasers.
With all of Los Angeles on fire they all head to Anne’s school. Polly uses the metal shop to build Frobo a new body. Sasha and Grimes will tak Joe Sparrow to the floating fortress while Anne and her gang face the ground troops.
So it turns out the Heron’s are the exact same ones that killed Sprig's parents. And he, Polly, and Hop Pop tame them with the Planter hunting dance. Like okay? It’s odd to see the things that ate the family of like half of the core cast be treated as pets. Also this wasn’t really brought up enough. Like if this was more of a through line this might of hit better.
Meanwhile we get to see inside Marcy’s mind. So they didn’t delete all of Marcy just the last few hours. The fight with the girls, the literal back stabbing. The core distracts her with puzzles and adventures with copies of Anne and Sasha. But their passive nature make Marcy realize that this is all a lie. She rejects the core and is pushed into a dark void.
Sasha and Grime battle Dracy, who uses a laser scythe to cut off Grime’s freaking arm. Sasha gets hit on her back good but cuts off the cord on the back of the helmet, killing the Core.
Meanwhile Andrias faces off against Anne, who decides to use her super mode. She starts to lose power so her parents blast some K-pop and Anne looks like she’s channeling Joyboy and fights back.
Mr. X uses his infrared glasses to red the secret message from Lief. When Andrias hears the message from the friend he lost he stands down just into time for Anne to blast through him. She only chips his side and he was a cyborg, explaining his long life.
The girls return the fortress to Amphibia but the moon is pulling a Majora’s Mask and crashing down on them as the helmet Darcy was wearing slinks away.
What’s happening? My guess is using the calamity box damaging the world and the girls will have to destroy it and stay on Earth to save Amphibia.
A great battle, curious where they go from there.
