I saw a post in one of those au's where desmonds ancestors can hear desmond and know desmond is controlling them, and one of the head canons was that haythem couldn't hear desmond and he immediately desynchronized twice because of how weird it was so I wanna do something with that😀

I sighed. "Here we go again." And with that, I passed out.

I opened my eyes, rubbing the blur out of them. I looked around, I was back in the animus. The large expansive void surrounded me.

A voice cut through the silence. "Desmond?" Rebecca called out.

"Do you hear us?" Bill asked

I groaned, trying to ignore the pain in my head. "Yeah, what happened?"

"The temple triggered a bleeding effect. You collapsed and entered into a fugue state." Bill explained.

"So naturally, you dropped me in the animus instead of... I don't know, making sure I was okay?"

Bill sighed, "You weren't in any real danger. Besides, the temple seemed to be communicating with you, I didn't want to sever the connection. At least not until we knew what it wanted."

Well, he wasn't wrong. Juno clearly wanted me to find a key, but still, throwing me into the animus right after I got out of my coma was a dick move.

"Right, of course." I stated clearly agitated.

"Son, I..." He trailed off.

"No, it's fine, I get it. And I know what I'M looking for, by the way. It's a key. Just no idea where it is, though... Guess that's why she triggered the bleeding effect."

"She?" Bill asked.

"Juno, dad. She's... talking to me."

He stayed silent.

My surroundings faded. Once my vision cleared, I was in some kind of obstacle course. Rebecca's voice cut through again.

"Okay, Desmond, while you were, uh, visiting Constantinople, we picked up a new software update for the animus. I'd like to run a couple of quick tests to make sure there are no issues."

I sighed. I decided that while I do the course, I could prepare myself for meeting a new ancestor. I wasn't sure whether to be nervous or excited.

Rebecca gave me instructions, but I tuned them out, I already knew what to do.

From what I saw from the bleeding effect, maybe they were from England, from what I saw it was farther ahead in time them Ezio, maybe in the 1700s.

I guess I wouldn't know till I met him, I just had to hope he wouldn't freak out.

I jumped down from the rooftop. The animus glitched a few times as it loaded.

The world began to build itself. I sighed, preparing myself.

I felt my body shift. I looked down to see that I was in a different body. I grasped the hilt of my sword. I looked around, based on the building and the way people were dressed I was pretty sure I was right about this being the 1700s.

I began to walk forward. As I did, I called out in my mind. "Hey, who are you?"

Silence.

I blinked with Altair he freaked out and thought I was a ghost, Ezio thought I was some kind of other worldly being, but now... silence.

"Hello, anyone here?" I got no response.

Can he not hear me? I felt the world around me begin to glitch again, I tried to calm myself, but I soon felt a twinge of pain as I desynchronized.

I was now back at the beginning of the stone path. Could this guy really not hear me? Now that I thought about it, I did feel more... disconnected from him than I did with Ezio and Altair.

It felt more like I was watching in 3rd person and less like I was sharing their body.

"Sir? Are you alright." A man asked me.

"Yes, I'm fine, just preoccupied is all."

This honestly felt so weird. I wanted to ask who that man was, but I knew I wouldn't get a response. Was this a new update to the animus.

And with that, I felt the familiar spike of pain jolt through my body, desynchronization.

"Desmond, are you alright?" Rebecca asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, just... being in the animus again is... strange." It was half of the truth.

"Alright, just tell us if you need a break, okay?"

"Okay." I stated.

I took a deep breath, steadying myself. This was going to be a long animus session.

Day twenty five

Without William around anymore to bother Desmond he felt freer however though, he found more and more of the modern assassins coming to his little branch of brothers and sisters. They wanted him to step up as global mentor and lead because he already was with his assassins.

"I'll need to discuss this with the others."

He wasn't sure if he could be what was needed. Yet the encouragement came not from any assassin. No no. He'd taken Haythem and Shay up on their offer to meet with the other Templars of old, to see about an alliance not just against Juno (still a threat along with her actual mother fuckin cult.) but the modern Templars. Robert De Sable of all people convinced him to take the mantle.

"You just proved that you can do this."

Assassins Creed college l AU

-Connor lives off campus with his mother and “landlord” Achilles (when in actuality his mother hasn’t paid rent to Achilles in ten years and Connors yet to realize that)

-Alexios and Jacob are what they call “bang bros” (fuck buddies but more manly according to them) who switch majors every other week

-Haythem is a professor and is by far the most hated, he’s been the target of the most amount of pranks from the school since year one of his teaching. He’s also had the most complaints about him to HR about his shitty politics and playing favorites in his students (yes his favorites happen to Hickey and Lee when they have the worst grades in the whole class)

-Shao is a transfer student who crotchets and paints in her free time. She’s primarily known as the lady who out drank party animal Bayek

-Bayek has a baby mama and visits his kids on all weekends and holidays. He’s known as one of the best students on campus. Who turns into an absolute party animal when drunk/high but deletes all evidence of it afterwards

- Everyone knows Edward’s password to his phone, cause he spends so much of his time drunk he either straight up tells people the password. Or they need it in order to call his buddies to pick him up

!!! I do have a college au I have a list of info of with my friend but I love these ideas and some of what we have is kind of similar !! I hope you don’t mind if some of these aren’t canon

-I still love your ‘landlord’ idea don’t worry it lives in my head rent free and it’s sitting in my ask box for when I could make a drawing with it

-Jacob and Alexios share dorms with Arno and Henry (I think I gotta check again). I can absolutely see Jacob changing his major a lot!! This kinda ties in w how I feel like he’s very indecisive and he’s intelligent in a lot of fields but he feels it’s hard to find a learning style that actually suits him so academics sucks like that (plus he has a poor history of constantly being compared to evie in school and having a bad rep in class with the teachers growing up). But he gets to explore and figure out what works best for him because everyone learns differently.

-Haytham isn’t a prof and the rest of his entourage is middle aged like him, however, William Johnson is one of the professors and I had a couple old doodles of him being at the receiving end of some pranks pulled by Connor’s friends :)) Haytham got Connor into this current college but he’s trying to get him to transfer to a “better” one (more private, one of those super elitist types, somewhere Maria Thorpe transferred out of because it sucked so much for her mental and social health). Connor’s friends hate Haytham and he 100% doesn’t live with Ziio (the request I’ve done with ziio and Haytham sending Connor off is unfortunately not canon in the au :(()

-I LOVE SHAOJUN CROCHETING AND PAINTINH,,, she’s maybe very secretive about her stuff but she loves making quick doodles of people around her in a tiny sketch book and has some really nice brush pens. I don’t know much about Bayek but my interest is piqued. It’s fair to note Shaojun is one of Ezio’s students when he eventually becomes a prof in my au! Along with Yusuf.

-LMAOO FUN I really really don’t know anything about Bayek but that fun side i honestly don’t see much in fan art so I’m curious ?? I always imagined him being the main gang’s philosophy professor and they love him.

-POOR ED LMAOSBKEV I love that I love Ed. Its super fun to hear other takes on Ed in modern au especially in relation to the other kenways bc I always pictured him in the au as an actual grand dad— graying hair, sick Hawaiian shirts collection, probably stole a yacht, tries and fails to regain a connection with Haytham and absolutely loves Connor and sees him as 100% part of the family

Please don’t take any of this the wrong way I love your ideas !! I thought it’d be fun to share and compare and contrast what I have in my head vs your ideas bc modern aus can be taken in so many different directions even in a college setting <:))

Haytham had sent Shay to you to give you your new orders for tomorrow morning because he was busy with his paperwork. Shay had to knock several times before you opened the door, your naked body covered by a thin nightgown. He would get way to aroused because having to sail the seas for a few weeks to months surrounded by only men made him very frustrated. He’d have a very hard time to keep his eyes on your face without wandering along your slender neck to your collarbone to your chest imagining how he’d eagerly takes off your nightgown and kisses every part of your bare skin.

Just like Shay, Edward would get very frustrated after sailing the seas for months only surrounded by men. So after seeing your private parts through your clothing he would implode. Arno Dorian

He would get very flustred, his face and ears covered in a reddish tint. He wold probably gape slightly without realising and because he is such a gentlemen he would get ashamed of his obnoxious actions. But he’d still occasionally steal glances of your private parts while licking his lips and swallows the lump that formed in his throat.

Jacob Frye

This man who always has something to say or a cocky remark to give would suspiciously turn very quit, flustered and aroused at first. But just like Edward he would have the guts to tease you with your “exposed” bodily features in a heated way. He would even dare to say ‘Excited to see me, love?’ reffering to your stiff nipples. His mind would wander and think about his warm big, rough hands caressing every inch of your body and kneeding your breasts.

Inspired by @sulfies I wanted to practice a piece for my Valdemar's Creed story.

The Jackdaws Mercenary Company was a well respected if revealtivly new Mercenary Company. Captain Edward Kenway was going a bit crazy with the paper work and red tape considering they were a bonded company, but that's what you got when you had experience and skill in your group. It had been what a week since they got their newcomer Desmond Miles.

Desmond was a heaven sent, skilled as an assassin with insights into the Templars, knowledgeable about the locale and above all a bit shy about his past. Minor issue compared to the successes they were having since they added Miles to the company. Things were great. Until they weren't.

"Cap'in?"

Aldewe said before entering

"Yes Aldewe?"

"Ave you seen Miles?"

Edward jerked his head up. He knew where everyone was. Racking his brain he remembered Desmond was doing something simple, recon, he should have reported back...two days ago.

"Shit Aldewe, I have been so busy I didn't notice he hadn't returned."

"Aye thought as much. His Hertasie are worried."

His quartermaster said, Edward remembered the two lizard folk that made life easier for them all. Usually Salvais would let him know that Desmond was back, but he only caught the slightest glimpse of the Hertasi inventor signalling him doing what they do best, serve.

Before Ed could formulate a plan, Mary Read dashed over and said

"Ed, Desmond was found, Thatch found him. He isn't himself."

"wat do yah mean lass?"

"He- didn't call you captain. He called you father."

Edward froze. There was only one person who would call him that. He dashed to where Desmond was. He was a mess, he was fighting Thatch who was merely laughing at the challenge. On a whim Edward sharply said

"Haythem Kenway! Enough young man."

Desmond stopped his unfocused eyes fixed Edward with a disbelieving stare

"Father? How?"
