- ponyboy has “almost—red hair.”

- johnny can’t say “boo to a goose.”

- ponyboy owes johnny 150$ from poker while they were in the church

- just a HILARIOUS quote “sent from heaven? had he gotten a good look at dallas?” ponyboy micheal curtis is hilarious and i don’t wanna hear anything else

- ponyboy isn’t like his parents, but his brothers are

- the curtis and shepard gang have a weird whistle that means “who’s there?” and people don’t talk about it enough

- dally called ponyboy “sleeping beauty.”

- soda’s letter to ponyboy had so many spelling and grammatical mistakes.

- dally had stubble when he went to get ponyboy and johnny “a stubble of colorless beard.”

- johnny’s crazy about drag races.

- dally thinks everything was cherry’s fault.

- dally has a cousin that lives in the area of the church, and told him it’d make a good hiding spot.

- johnny has a “deathly fear of cops.”

- jerry was too fat to climb through the church’s window.

- johnny was having fun in the church.

- soda wouldn’t quit messing with the reporters, he stole their hats and cameras, and even grabbed a cops gun.

- if johnny survived, he would’ve been crippled.

- two-bit’s mom said they should lock the door because of burglars, but darry just flexed his arms in response.

- two-bit was cleaning eggs off the floor after he knocked them off ponyboy’s pan.

- johnny would’ve been charged with manslaughter.

- soda went into darry’s closet to grab his jeans, and steve followed him in. apparently, “in a second, there was the general racket of a pillow fight.”

- two-bit’s mom is just like two-bit, except she isn’t lazy.

- randy’s thinking of leaving town.

- johnny and his mom look exactly the same, with black hair and big black eyes.

- the only difference is johnny has “fearful and sensitive” eyes, while her’s are “cheap and hard.”

- dallas looked out the window instead of at two-bit and ponyboy when he asked about johnny

- cherry had her hair up and she was wearing a ski jacket when she went to go meet the greasers.

- tim shepard has curly black hair and “smoldering” dark-blue eyes. he also has a scar from temple to chin because a “tramp” hit him with a broken soda bottle.

- tim accidentally stepped on ponyboy during the rumble.

- all johnny had ever wanted was for dallas to be proud of him.

- bob had the same smile as soda.

- greasers don’t eat in the school cafeteria.

- curly fell off from a telephone poll and he broke his arm. the face curly made was the same as sodapop’s when darry and ponyboy were fighting.

- when ponyboy wrote his theme, it didn’t hurt to think about johnny and dally.

Could you do something where the gangs (including Tim and curly) s/o has older brothers who are also greasers and just really intimidating in general?

DARRY CURTIS

Darry’s not used to having older siblings? He is the oldest, that’s just the way the world is-

Your brothers though? I have a feeling he’d be one of the boys who are the least afraid of your brothers

Like yeah, your brothers are well-known for being the tough hoods they are, there’s practically your own little family gang just between them

But Darry’s not going to be cowering beneath them, shaking in his boots afraid of them

He’s going to try and be a gentleman? He’ll shake your brothers’ hands, make conversation with them when he picks you up before dates

It’s just Darry being Darry, his mama taught him his manners and he’s going to use them <3 he’s a good person

SODAPOP CURTIS

I just have this gut feeling that without a doubt, Sodapop’s going to be at the very least, slightly afraid of your brothers

At least in the beginning, y’know? Meeting your brothers was probably one of the scariest moments in his entire life

They’re just sort of intimidating, I’m sure they’re the type to try and strike fear into all of the suitors who come for their kid sibling

After he proves himself though, either by protecting you from something or standing up for you somewhere, your brothers are pretty alright with him

Now he’s just got a few more older siblings who like to nag him for things!

I feel like he’d get along with them too, now they’re asking for you to start bringing him around more     

PONYBOY CURTIS

Unlike his older brothers, Ponyboy is, in fact, used to having scary older brothers! So yours probably won’t bother him at all

He’s very used to the whole tradition of giving your younger sibling’s date the third degree whenever you meet them for the first time

But honestly? There really isn’t a reason for your brothers not to like Ponyboy, he’s doesn’t really do a lot of bad stuff

Unless your brothers have beef with the Curtis gang for some reason, Ponyboy’s a pretty safe choice to bring home to them!

He’s respectful with them too, he does his best to make conversation when the occasions call for it and he’s polite when he stops by your house

They like to say hi to him when he walks you home from school, waving from the house or the front yard when you guys show up

DALLAS WINSTON

Do we really think Dallas is going to be off-put by you having big, scary, older brothers? Cause I don’t-

Your brothers don’t scare him in the slightest, and if they do, he’s never going to admit it Dal likes to brag that he’s seen worse up in New York and that your brothers are nothing in comparison to some of the hoods he’s dealt with

He’s going to be rude, he’s going to push your brothers’ buttons a little and pull you closer and kiss you deeper than is polite 

Honestly? I bet your brothers don’t really like him, they think you can do a lot better than Dallas Winston and will probably tell you that on the regular

However, if Dally takes down some Socs for you or something, plays a protective role that your brothers usually occupy, maybe they’ll start to like him a little more

That it doesn’t mean they’re going to be any more lenient when it comes to the rules about him hanging around though-

JOHNNY CADE

Probably your safest choice of a boyfriend when your brothers are as big and bad as they are, they’re very overprotective of you probably

Johnny has never done anything wrong in his life, is super duper polite and won’t push any of the lines your brothers draw

They don’t want him spending the night at your house? Johnny’s alright with that, he’ll give you a soft kiss on the porch before he heads off for the night

He’s respectful guys, he’s not going to push the rules and he’s going to be considerate of your brothers

If you ask him, he’ll probably tell you that he’s not afraid of them, only slightly scared but I can see Johnny kind of looking up to them like he looks up to Dallas

Don’t tell Dally that though, Johnny doesn’t think he needs to know-

TWO-BIT MATHEWS

Hoohoo, oh boy, Two-Bit is going to run your brothers ragged-

Two-Bit likes to be annoying and your brothers are overprotective and it’s just so easy to get them all riled up

He’ll try and push the line sometimes, argue with them about silly things and just be a menace whenever he’s around them

Two’s not afraid of them like at all, he probably should be at least a little afraid but there isn’t one ounce of fear in his body when it comes to them

It’s another one of those, he’s gotta prove himself to your brothers? They think you can do better than Two-Bit, blah blah blah

But just one time where’s comforting you when you really need it or just being there for you when you need him, your brothers are a little more accepting of the hood

STEVE RANDLE

My version of Steve is an only child, so that’s going to affect this a little cause my Steve isn’t used to having siblings in general-

Is Steve afraid of your brothers? The answer is yes, very much so, thoroughly afraid of them

But he won’t act like he’s afraid, he just tries to toughen up by pushing his shoulders back and his chin up whenever he’s got to talk with them

Their approval is sort of important to him? He wants your brothers to like him, that’s really all he wants, he seeks the validation

Steve’s going to be polite then, making sure to have you home on time so you won’t break curfew

Your brothers probably think he’s a good enough kid, they’ll nag him every now and again, tease him just enough to keep him on his toes, it’s a brotherly kind of love guys 

TIM SHEPARD

Tim’s not afraid of your brothers, like at all-

He’s a gang leader guys, he deals with “big and scary” guys all the time so your brothers aren’t going to be any different

Tim’s got an attitude, that’s for sure, and it’s not going to change when it comes to your brothers, he’s still going to be a jerk and pester them and push all their buttons

He’s not rude? Like he follows the rules they’ve set for you, but he’s a little passive-aggressive, whispering comments that you’ll smack him for and just being a menace

Tim doesn’t take too kindly to teasing, he’s not going to let them push him around and your brothers will probably figure that out really fast  

Again, your brothers probably don’t like him, whether they don’t like Tim himself or they don’t like the Shepard gang? No one will ever know

CURLY SHEPARD

Your Brothers Either Don’t Like Him Or Just Don’t Like The Shepard Gang Pt.2

Curly’s not the greatest kid, he gets into trouble and does things he shouldn’t, but he’s used to having a scary older brother

Tim’s pretty good about keeping him in line, so he’s not too surprised when your brothers make rules about him coming around

Is Curly going to follow all of them? Probably not, he treats them more like guidelines than actual rules, curfew is more of a recommendation in his mind than a hard rule to follow

He takes care of you though, that’s something your brothers have to admit about Curly, he takes good care of you

From making sure he’s between you and whatever danger you might find yourself against to simply sharing his food with you if you’re hungry <3

Darry Curtis hc because I love him

-Absolutely 100% has undiagnosed anxiety (it’s the 60s so no mental health awareness but I know it when I see it)

-Is actually as strict with Soda as he is with Pony, Pony just doesn’t see it

-Has crazy nightmares like Ponyboy, just wakes up in a cold sweat instead of yelling

-Has a high pitched scream and has been RELENTLESSLY teased about it by the gang

-Of everyone in the gang he clashes with two-bit the most, because two is almost the same age as him and refuses to ever take responsibility for anything

-Hates driving to work with Sodapop because Soda is a reckless driver, even after what happened to their parents

-Loves fried chicken

-Worked overtime for three weekends to save up to get Ponyboy a really nice birthday gift when he turned fifteen and didn’t say a word about it.

-Before his parents died he actually got into a lot of fights, usually defending his little brothers, but sometimes just for fun. Obviously, that ended as soon as he became Pony and Soda’s guardian (except when someone hurts his brothers- then he’ll flatten them)

-Knows Ponyboy is tough but forgets sometimes because Ponyboy is SO much smaller than him, and always has been, and it was already Darry’s job to protect him before their parents passed and before Ponyboy started growing up. To Darry, Ponyboy will forever the wide eyed kid who used to look at him like he was a superhero

-Him and Soda got a lot closer after their parents died and he clings to that fact, because it’s the only sort of good thing that came out of losing them

-Never goes to the hospital, even when he’s literally dying, but if Soda or Pony get anything worse than a sniffle he forced them to go

-Sometimes when he tells the gang he’s going to the gym he just drives around for a while so he can get a few minutes of peace and quiet to himself (bonus: sometimes he finds somewhere to park and just cries for a while because no one can see him and he’s TWENTY and this is too much)

-His first girlfriend told him he smelled nice once and it stuck with him. He likes fancy(ish) colognes and Soda and Pony pool their spending money to get him a new one every holiday

-Actually loves helping Ponyboy with his math homework

-Was the original Curtis heartthrob. Girls used to chase him a ton in school, and he was proud of Soda when girls started liking him too 

-On the topic of relationships, Ponyboy went to him instead of Soda the first time he had a crush and Darry was secretly really pleased (until he found out WHO Ponyboy was interested in and then he was HORRIFIED)

-On an unrelated note, he once had to physically restrain Soda from straight up murdering Curly Shepard (but he let Soda get a few good hits in first)

-Loves baking, but rarely has the energy when he gets home from work and Pony and Soda only ever want cake so that’s usually all he makes

-Eats chocolate chips out of the bag

-Checks on Soda and Ponyboy at least three times a night because anxiety is a bitch and he’s TERRIFIED of something happening to them so he needs to make sure they’re ok

-Has tried everything under the sun to try and get Pony to quit smoking and never succeeded 

-Visits his parents graves once a month, and just talks to the headstones as if they can hear them because he misses them so much but feels like he has to be strong for his brothers

-Has a scar on his palm from burning himself pulling a pan out of the oven

soda: abhorrent printing, can barely read his own writing (or any writing), no one else can read it either, dyslexic af, failed kindergarten

darry: thinks the uppercase makes his printing look grown up, gets mocked by his brothers who say he doesn’t know lowercase, writes his whole name every. single. time.

steve: thinks the way he writes his ‘e’ is special, constantly asked by soda why there is a three in his writing (it’s the e), soda can barely read it

two-bit: doesn’t really care about his printing, can be really messy but only when he’s writing fast, letters really close together, soda can barely read it

johnny: somewhat neat printing, but super flat, fast writer, loves writing with pens and hates pencils, soda struggles to read it due to the flatness

dally: cannot read anything except for names of people he knows and words that are familiar to him, can write his own name and barely anything else, fucking stupid, pony tried to teach him how to read and nearly got murdered

curly: only writes in lowercase cause he hates tim and wanted to be different from him (he writes in all uppercase) hates writing cause his hands cramp, pony loves his printing

tim: hates how similar his printing is to darry’s so he changes it up sometimes, very squished letters (used to be different [less squished] but it was too similar to darry’s)

Biblically accurate Dallas Winston

thinking about how we were robbed of seeing book accurate dally in the movie, I'm thinking about it rn. Like, dally was described to be so physically different from Johnny and even though they were so close they still behaved differently and had different personalities. I feel like their looks being so vastly different from each other was such a big thing even though it was a small thing ?? Like dally was described as almost white blond with blazing blue eyes he's described as hardened and his eyes having a hatred towards the world when Johnny is described as this innocent pitiful thing. "A puppy whos been kicked too many times." he has dark hair and tan skin and big dark eyes.

like dally represents what johnny could have become and johnny represents the same for dally

and this is just about their character symbolism not even touching on their actual relationship and what they meant to each other inside of the actual story

(these are two text I sent my friend mashed together and written in a hurry before my brain was too overwhelmed by this thought)

Mass effect headcannon for you cause I can't share with anyone else lmao

Ok when you first go to the citadel after Eden Prime in me1 the vi guide tells you that it's the first time You've been there. So tell me, after you recruit Garrus (who lives on the Citadel and has for years atp), WHY ARE WE THE ONE LEADING THE GROUP!

I got lost so much my first playthrough and still continue to do so after 40+ hours in the first game (2nd playthrough). You cannot tell me that Garrus does not joke with Shepard about how they constantly get lost, and it just gets worse as they get to know each other more. The mercenary outposts where you get lost in the maze, the tunnels on Feros, or the labyrinth that is the hallways on noveria. Hell I couldn't find the garage entrance on noveria for 10 minutes and was running around like a crazy person.

(bonus points if Wrex is on your squad cause you know he's just encouraging Garrus)

And yes this trend continued into the second and third game. To the point where I was yelling at Garrus for Shepard because I just know he was being a smartass about it lmao.

Garrus: Shepard, we've literally been here 50 times before. How are you still lost? I think I should be concerned atp.

Shepard: oh shut up Garrus, I'm sure this is all very funny. (Goes down the wrong hallway again)

Gods clone-shep breaks my fucking heart. The fandom and the DLC itself treats them as a joke but they are so fucking tragic. Brookes was the real villain and she doesn’t get enough hate.

When we meet clone-shep they’re only six months old. They look like an adult, talk like an adult, they have the faculties of an adult, the thought processes of an adult, but no memories of their own, no life experience to teach them morals. They have the life experience of an infant.

From the moment they wake up they’re told they were just a bag of organs for the person you’re a copy of. They have nothing, own nothing, not even their face is theirs. But Brookes is whispering in their ear, feeding this new naive mind hatred and anger and jealousy. And Clone-Shep follows it, because like an infant they’ll follow and trust the first guiding voice they hear. No one has Clone-Shep’s back except Brookes, Brookes only wants to help them be stronger, Brookes knows what best, Brookes is giving them a purpose. If they follow Brookes they can be happy.

Clone-Shep truly doesn’t know any better. That’s not me making excuses or infantilize them, they truly don’t know, without memories they can’t know.

And the “why you and not me!” line? Soul crushing. Clone-Shep is hurting so fucking much and just want to have a purpose, just wants to belong.

DARRY CURTIS

Darry’s a grown man, too mature for jealousy! But he still gets a little jealous because I say so <3

It’s mostly around his college buddies and the older boys in the gang who sometimes like to make moves just to upset Darry

But Dare trusts you, y’know? If you guys are going steady, he knows you only have eyes for him and he really only has eyes for you

Jealous!Darry though, that means he’s gotta have his hands on you in some way or another, Jealous!Darry wants nothing more to be touching you and he’s gonna get what he wants, believe you me

Hand on your hip, fingers tangled with yours, pulling you back into his chest, you’ve gotta be close to him and he’s gonna make sure of it

Darry will be a little snippy with whoever’s taken to making moves on you, glaring a little bit and using his size for intimidation purposes <3

SODAPOP CURTIS

Sodapop, my love. My little Sodapop. Darling little Sodapop Curtis. No-thoughts-in-his-head Sodapop

I don’t think he’s get jealous, I think he’d just get a little sad, I don’t think he’s capable of real jealousy

I think Sodapop has a lot of inadequacy issues? He knows he’s pretty, but I think he struggles a lot with feeling wanted and needed

So if someone’s trying to hit you up, Sodapop might step between you guys and try to break it up, but he’d be a little sad, wondering if you’d rather be with them than him

If he’s jealous, he gets kind of pouty and sad, and he might pull back from you, try to prevent himself from being hurt

I just don’t think he’s one of those big, loud, aggressive people when he’s jealous, I really can’t see Sodapop as being one of those people

PONYBOY CURTIS

Ehhhhhh, I’m torn on this one, I don’t know if I see Ponyboy as being one of those clearly obvious jealous people, but I can see him getting into a fight with you over something that has to do with his jealousy

Like- if he sees somebody who’s flirting with you and he doesn’t see you try and get out of the situation, he might be a little upset and get a little snippy with you

He’s not really trying to be an asshole to you, he’s just upset and his emotions tend to come out through his words instead of his fists

But at the same time, Ponyboy’s definitely got some of that greaser fire in him though, so I can really see him getting into an argument with someone who may not be leaving you alone

He’ll tell somebody to back off, do a little chest puffing before looking back at you to make sure you’re alright and okay-

He’s not to kind of guy who gets jealous though and immediately tries to make out with you in the middle of a crowded space, I hope I’ve managed to convey that to you guys

DALLAS WINSTON

Dally Winston is one of the most jealous people you will ever meet in your life and I promise you that, I would bet my whole life on that

He’s loud and can be sort of mean and crass when he’s jealous, both in your favor and not, so just be warned-

You’re gonna get in a lot of fights because of his jealousy, I just don’t know what else to tell you, he’s super stubborn

Most likely to try and make out with you because he’s jealous and most likely to try and make moves on you because he’s jealous

Will slip a hand into your pocket and keep a hand on your ass while he stares down whatever idiot thought they could talk to you

He makes it known very fast, whether through a fight or through multiple verbal threats, that whoever decides it’s a good decision to mess with his doll, will have to deal with the wrath of Winston

JOHNNY CADE

I don’t think Johnny gets jealous too often? I don’t see him as being the jealous type, I don’t think he’d notice if you were trying to make him jealous either

Like- I don’t think Johnny is on the same level of jealous as Curly Shepard is, but I do think that he can be a little jealous, especially when it comes to the rest of the boys in the gang

I got an ask about how Johnny would react if reader was bonding a lot with Ponyboy over a book though, and I think that’s a really good plotline to follow to feature some jealous Johnny

Johnny’s not going to be jealous in that situation ^^ unless he starts to see Ponyboy making moves on you, and let’s be real, would Ponyboy really do that?

Johnny would just try and join you, learning about your favorite things so that you’ll talk with him more and not just Ponyboy

I just really can’t see him freaking out over it though, he’s protective, not jealous, so I think that’s a fine line that’s really important to define

TWO-BIT MATHEWS

Happy go lucky Two-Bit doesn’t get jealous often, but I can see it happening every so often, especially if you guys go out to a party and he has a few to drink

Will mostly likely end up in a fight, especially if whoever’s hitting on you doesn’t back off when Two-Bit tells them to get lost

But then again, I can totally see Two pulling you away, claiming he needs to show you something or that he wants to dance and just tugging you away from whoever he no longer wants to deal with

I don’t see you guys fighting? I don’t think Two-Bit would start fights over being jealous unless you were actively doing stuff that made him jealous

Like- if you’re actively flirting with somebody else to try and make him jealous? You have to assume that he’s gonna be upset, that’s not really a nice thing to do

But I can’t see him being mad at you if he’s jealous because of somebody else, I don’t see him being mean when jealous like Dallas would be

STEVE RANDLE

Steve can get a little jealous, I’m not gonna lie to you guys, he’s very protective over you

I think it’s better with the boys? Specifically with Sodapop, but if Dally’s flirting with you, Steve-o’s not afraid to punch him in his yankee face

Jealous Steve gets to be a little pouty and a little needy and, of course, just a little touchy because you can’t look at him and tell me I’m wrong

He’s kissing you, more than what is considered decent, if the opportunity arises and he’s feeling jealous, he thinks it’s a nice way to gain your attention back

Call him a few pet names if he’s upset or literally just hold his face and make him look at you until he calms down, the method is foolproof

He’s a simple boy, he’s gets a little jealous sometimes, all you gotta do is give him some attention and he’ll be right as rain in no time

TIM SHEPARD

Hoo boy, jealous Tim Shepard, more likely than you’d think, he can be just as bad as his younger brother

He can be mean, but like Two-Bit, his meanness won’t be directed at you unless the situation sort of calls for it

Whoever’s made the bad decision to advance on you will have to face big bad Tim Shepard and try and hold their own against his snarls and threats

Jealous Tim is either a handsy Tim or an aloof Tim, there is little to no in between in that situation-

Handsy Tim means he’s keeping contact with you, slipping a hand in your pocket or tracing the seams of your jeans, pushing the line as much as he can before he gets told to stop

Aloof Tim just means he’s having a little self doubt, a little hesitancy because maybe you’d rather be with that other guy, maybe he’s not good enough for you

CURLY SHEPARD

Curly Shepard? Jealous? Every single day of his life, my dear friends, this boy is incredibly, incredibly jealous

You look at somebody else? Talk about somebody else? Listen to someone else? Stand next to someone else?

Curly is pouting and whining, grumbling and complaining because you’re not paying enough attention to him and he’s not pleased

I’m not even joking, it’s literally the smallest things that will set Curly off and once he’s jealous, everyone is going to have to deal with it because he is certainly not afraid to hide

If it gets to that point, Curly is not afraid to throw fists to get your attention back on you and take care of whoever’s decided to talk with you, Curly just likes to use his fists

If you’re bothered by this behavior, I really don’t suggest going with Curly, it’s just the way he is and I doubt he’s gonna change anytime soon

Johnny Cade hc because I’m glad its the weekend

-Is a LOT tougher than the gang gives him credit for. A lot.

-To anyone who doesn’t know him well he looks incredibly intimidating

-Can make a fire out of nothing. It’s a skill he learned from spending a lot of nights in the lot when he doesn’t feel like bothering anyone, but tbh he’s honestly a bit of a pyro

-Is INCREDIBLY protective of Ponyboy, but knows Ponyboy hates feeling babied so he makes sure he never finds out.

-On multiple occasions he’s heard socs or some mouthier greasers talking shit about Ponyboy at school, and together with Steve and Two-bit beat them senseless without any of the Curtis boys ever finding out. There’s a mutual agreement between the three of them that Darry and Soda have enough to worry about without worrying about Pony getting jumped at school, and none of them wanna hurt Pony’s pride, not even Steve.

-Really appreciates that Pony is able to tell when he doesn’t wanna talk and answers for him. Pony never gets it wrong and sometimes talking feels like such an effort so Johnny is really glad to have such a good friend

-Was the last person in the gang to meet Dally, since he was nursing some pretty bad injuries when Dally first came to Tulsa, and was laying low

-Hates Curly Shepard with a burning passion. Partially because he can SEE how terrible of an influence Curly is on Ponyboy, but some of it is just straight up jealousy. In Johnny’s mind Ponyboy is HIS best friend and Curly better be ready to fight if he thinks he can just waltz out of the reformatory and try and take his place in Pony’s life. Their rivalry got so bad at one point that after the third fistfight Tim and Darry made a mutual agreement to try and keep Johnny and Curly away from each other (with limited success).

-He and Ponyboy encourage each other’s smoking habits because if one of them runs out of cigarettes the other usually has at least half a pack left

-One of the old cowboys at Buck’s bar taught him to line dance and he’s really good at it

-Is indifferent to country music but pretends to love it just because of how horrified and pissed off Ponyboy gets at the mere prospect

-Is the best in the gang at poker by a lot. It drives Soda and Dally crazy for different reasons. Soda is mostly incredulous, but Dally is wicked competitive and hates losing

-Was the first to notice Curly liked Ponyboy in a more than friendly way when he realised the way Curly was teasing Ponyboy was the exact same way Two-bit teased his many blondes- fond with an undercurrent of heat. As soon as he realised it he walked across the room and socked Curly in the jaw. Obviously they fought, and it took Ponyboy, Tim Shepard, and two others from the Shepard gang to pull them off each other. Pony ignored both of them for a week straight afterwards which is the only reason they established an uneasy truce.

-He and Pony mutter sarcastic shit to each other when the gang is all hanging out together and make up dumb reasons as to why they’re laughing if anyone notices

-He’s actually pretty good friend’s with Two-bit’s little sister since he crashes at Two’s house almost as much as he crashes with the Curtis’ or with Dally

-Cordially detests Angela Shepard. He thinks it’d be wrong to hit a girl but Angela is protective of Curly and doesn’t take kindly to the fact he and Curly can’t seem to stop fighting each other. He thinks she shouldn’t take Curly’s side- Tim certainly doesn’t. In any case, they trade glares and frosty remarks but never tussle any worse than that, though Angela swears she’ll stab him if he breaks Curly’s nose again.

-He and Ponyboy are banned from being on each others team for any board or card game requiring teams because they’re too good at reading each other’s minds (Soda and Steve are also banned from being on a team together for the same reason). 

-Once helped Steve steal the hubcaps off a socs car in the lot

-Is convinced that Ponyboy is afraid of girls (no matter how much Pony protests) and thinks its the funniest shit ever

It’s early morning, and the sun is just beginning to rise over Tulsa, casting a soft, dim glow on the streets below. Its rays shine in through the gaps in your blinds, bathing your room in a warm light that appears almost golden, standing stark against the darkened shadows upon your walls

Beside you lies none other than Tim Shepard, his arm hanging loosely across your middle, his hair tousled with sleep, and his eyes bleary as he blinks down at you.

The house is silent, save for the muffled snores coming from your brothers’ respective rooms, and you find yourself tucking your face into the nape of Tim’s neck, humming as the all-too-familiar scent of cigarettes and cheap cologne fills your senses. 

His arms snake around you tighter, and he pulls you even closer until you're practically lying on top of him, your legs intertwined, as he buries his nose into your hair. 

“Mornin’, darlin’,” He drawls, his voice still thick with sleep. You can’t help but smile as he presses a quick kiss on your temple, his rough and calloused fingers idly tracing patterns against your exposed skin. 

“Hey,” You murmur back softly, tilting your head up so you can press a quick peck on his lips. “I didn’t expect you to still be here.” 

Truthfully, you had expected him to leave hours ago, just as the first signs of daylight began to show, colouring the sky with a variety of pinks and oranges. He usually does, taking advantage of the early hour and the lack of people walking the streets to slip from your house unnoticed, ensuring not to wake your brothers when he leaves.  But today, however, it seems as though he’s decided to stick around.

“I didn’t feel like goin’.” Tim replies, pressing a lingering kiss to your lips before stretching out beside you and propping himself up on one elbow. He runs a hand through his hair, tousling it further, before giving you a lazy grin. “Suppose you’ll want’ me gone before your brothers wake up.”

You let out a low hum, pulling away from him slightly so that you could meet his gaze directly, your hand coming up to brush a stray piece of hair from his forehead. 

“You know Darry will freak out if he finds you in here.” 

Tim lets out a low chuckle, running a hand down your side before pulling you into his chest once more. “Relax, doll.” He whispers, his mouth finding the shell of your ear once more, peppering butterfly kisses along your neck. “Nobody'll know I'm here.”

You can’t help but roll your eyes at him, pushing his face away with a small laugh. “I’m not taking any chances.” You tell him sternly, sitting up properly despite his grip on your waist and his quiet groan of protest. 

“Yeah, yeah,” Tim grumbles, letting you pull away from him, though he still doesn't move from his position on your bed. He watches you carefully, studying every feature of your face with an intensity that has never failed to drive you insane as you stand, stretching languidly before turning to fix him with a stern look. He raises his eyebrows questioningly in response, raising both hands in defence.

“Can you blame me for starin’?” He asks, grinning lazily at you. “I mean, damn, y/n, you sure don't want to spend this time doin' something else?” 

You roll your eyes at the ridiculousness of his statement as you make your way across your room, picking up his discarded clothes and tossing them at him. He catches them easily, his eyes still not leaving you as he slips his shirt over his head, the material clinging to his body in all the right places. 

“You’re impossible,” you mutter, turning away from him as he tugs on his wrinkled jeans, immediately pulling a carton of cigarettes from his back pocket. He places one between his lips and goes to light it up, only for you to slap his hand away. 

“Oh no, you don't. Not in here, Timothy Shepard.” You scold, “Do you want Darry to skin me?” 

Tim pauses and lets out a breathy chuckle, his arms circling around your waist once more. He gives you as innocent a look as he can manage. 

“Come on, doll. Don’t be like that.” He trails off, his words sounding as though they were made from honey. His fingers trace slow circles across your stomach, sending shivers throughout your entire body as your eyes flutter shut. “My company ain’t all that bad, is it?” The cigarette is forgotten momentarily in favour of trailing light kisses over your shoulders.

“It’s tolerable,” you tease, smiling as you turn around in his embrace, your hands resting lightly on his chest. “But you better be gone before my brothers wake up.” You add, swatting him away as he begins to place feather-light kisses across your jaw. 

“Oh really?” Tim asks, quirking an eyebrow and smirking down at you.

“Yes.” You reply firmly, reaching out to cup his cheek, the pad of your thumb brushing gently under his bottom lip. “Get the hell outta here, Shepard.” 

He nods with a sigh, releasing you reluctantly, pulling on his boots, which he had discarded by your bed the night before, and slinging his jacket over his shoulder. He leans forward and presses one final chaste kiss to your lips before heading over to your window. You watch as he unlatches it, pushing it open carefully and slipping silently out onto the grass below with the same stealth as an alley cat. 

He turns to shoot you one last smirk, his hand cupping your cheek for one brief moment when you lean out to say goodbye, whispering a promise to meet him later on, knowing full well he'll be back in your room, tangled in your sheets once more. 

He flashes another wink before he disappears into the morning light.

idk i just believe there's so much in Shepard's life that she already has to control and make decisions over and that fun "ruthless calculus" and that's been her life since the events of Eden Prime (i'm sure prior to that even but that just accentuated and solidified her role in the invasion) that when it comes to the bedroom she doesn't want to be in control she doesn't want to have to make all the decisions and damn it she just wants to be fucked in a good way for once without the need for a single thought other than "holy shit that feels so fucking good" and i also believe Garrus would be more than willing to provide that for her and give her that relief and take that weight off her shoulders
