- ponyboy has “almost—red hair.”

- johnny can’t say “boo to a goose.”

- ponyboy owes johnny 150$ from poker while they were in the church

- just a HILARIOUS quote “sent from heaven? had he gotten a good look at dallas?” ponyboy micheal curtis is hilarious and i don’t wanna hear anything else

- ponyboy isn’t like his parents, but his brothers are

- the curtis and shepard gang have a weird whistle that means “who’s there?” and people don’t talk about it enough

- dally called ponyboy “sleeping beauty.”

- soda’s letter to ponyboy had so many spelling and grammatical mistakes.

- dally had stubble when he went to get ponyboy and johnny “a stubble of colorless beard.”

- johnny’s crazy about drag races.

- dally thinks everything was cherry’s fault.

- dally has a cousin that lives in the area of the church, and told him it’d make a good hiding spot.

- johnny has a “deathly fear of cops.”

- jerry was too fat to climb through the church’s window.

- johnny was having fun in the church.

- soda wouldn’t quit messing with the reporters, he stole their hats and cameras, and even grabbed a cops gun.

- if johnny survived, he would’ve been crippled.

- two-bit’s mom said they should lock the door because of burglars, but darry just flexed his arms in response.

- two-bit was cleaning eggs off the floor after he knocked them off ponyboy’s pan.

- johnny would’ve been charged with manslaughter.

- soda went into darry’s closet to grab his jeans, and steve followed him in. apparently, “in a second, there was the general racket of a pillow fight.”

- two-bit’s mom is just like two-bit, except she isn’t lazy.

- randy’s thinking of leaving town.

- johnny and his mom look exactly the same, with black hair and big black eyes.

- the only difference is johnny has “fearful and sensitive” eyes, while her’s are “cheap and hard.”

- dallas looked out the window instead of at two-bit and ponyboy when he asked about johnny

- cherry had her hair up and she was wearing a ski jacket when she went to go meet the greasers.

- tim shepard has curly black hair and “smoldering” dark-blue eyes. he also has a scar from temple to chin because a “tramp” hit him with a broken soda bottle.

- tim accidentally stepped on ponyboy during the rumble.

- all johnny had ever wanted was for dallas to be proud of him.

- bob had the same smile as soda.

- greasers don’t eat in the school cafeteria.

- curly fell off from a telephone poll and he broke his arm. the face curly made was the same as sodapop’s when darry and ponyboy were fighting.

- when ponyboy wrote his theme, it didn’t hurt to think about johnny and dally.

The Outsiders Black Friday Headcannons

I know it's late but let me have this

Darry -

This motherfucker is built like a semi truck. No one, I mean no one, would push past him. There's an actually good TV he can surprisingly afford? It's over. Surrender. He will literally bulldoze people out of the way.

◇ Definitely gets stuff for his brothers so they'll be happy

Sodapop -

I think he'd get some decent stuff. Maybe some jean jacket he thought was tuff that was 75% off. I think he'd put up a fight for really nice cheap stuff, but he didn't want to hit a woman so he just settled for something else.

◇ He definitely got some stupid shit like a customized shot glass or something

Ponyboy -

He doesn't even know it's Black Friday. The fights are regular in Tulsa so he doesn't even think twice when he sees someone punch a lady for a Polaroid. His only clue was when he went to the movies and the cashier said the tickets are 80% off. That was when he started wondering if it was Saturday or Friday.

◇ Even if he knew he wouldn't have gone anywhere except the book store

Johnny -

I feel like Johnny is actually a little scared of Black Friday. He thinks if he buys something he'll get jumped again. So he'd probably just go to the movies with Ponyboy or something.

◇ If he tried Black Friday and someone asked for it, he wouldn't be able to say no, so he fails Black Friday 💀

Dallas -

Technaically, if you steal stuff, everyday is Black Friday. But during Black Friday this mf is throwing punches, tackling people, all of itm Dally just sees it as an opportunity to fight someone, win, and then walk out without paying for it. He probably got arrested for A) Stealing or B) Knocking a guys tooth out.

◇ He sits in the cell all cocky because he has a new leather jacket now so he thinks he's 10x cooler

Two-Bit -

I don't know for sure what he'd do but I think he'd try to put up a fight. Not for technology, he's probably going for some mickey mouse merch and fighting with a 10 year old for it. He might try to get another pocket knife, but none of them meet his expectations.

◇ Ended up making some kid cry, so he tried to tell them a joke, but it didn't work. So he just walked off. But hey, he has a mickey mouse watched now.

Steve -

He'd definitely put up a fight. He saw some hair gel he's been eyeing that's 80% off? At least two people are getting their noses broken. He wouldn't go for all the big stuff, he isn't interested in a new tv, but he'd definitely tackle someone for a new fridge.

◇ In the end he'd probably punched 17 people and gotten an ass ton of bruises, but hey, now he has a fridge that actually stays cold.

FIRST POST YAY - Outsiders modern au (pretty much modern day hcs)

Psst... Johnny's way of motivated Ponyboy is by spoiling him (buying him books, plushies, etc.) and even if Ponyboy messes up his streak Johnny will still buy him stuff

★ Johnny often picks his skin and cuts himself (poor thing has cuts all over his arms and legs) so what Ponyboy does is try to motivate him. Him and Johnny share an account on an app that tracks how long a person has been clean, whenever Johnny hits a milestone Ponyboy would give him kisses.

Ponyboy's kissing system:

1 month: A quick peck on the lips or on the cheek

6 months: A kiss on the lips

1 year: A loving kiss

It builds up so for 5 months Johnny would receive 5 quick pecks or kisses on the cheek!

ignoring the blooming butterflies in your gut, you obeyed him, and shot it. as it landed perfectly in the basket, your points went up just a little. the robotic voice dinged back, demanding two more tokens for another round. despite your best efforts, his score was still much higher.

as the tickets escaped the slot, johnny placed a gentle kiss on your cheek and his hands rubbed the soft pink fabric of your shirt.

it’s canon, in the book, that the Curtis family attended church (as did most families in the 60s, especially in the south) however all I can imagine is those three brothers not being able to take a damn thing serious.

they’d be silently cackling with each other the entire time; and I mean, red in the face, tears in their eyes, swatting each other to shut the other up, trying their upmost best not to laugh in the middle of a sermon. Their dad would be unfazed, however, their mom would give them the coldest glares— the typical warning, fuck around and find out, mom glare.

of course this would probably make them silently lose their shit more. And it would start over the stupidest things— The priest messing up and stumbling over his words, getting bored and finding the most out of context verse from the bible and showing it to them just to stir things up— shit like that.

because I know damn well (from personal experience), church is one big game of seeing who can laugh the quietest when in the middle of church.
