ITS THE PORTAL AND PAW PATROL ANON HI all i did out of extreme brainrot of my two faves i kind of like roleswapped the characters so the entire thing about portal is a test subject who tries and succeeds to escape a laboratory; in the first portal the one who overviews (an AI robot) the testing wakes this test subject and makes her undergo a bunch of tests before attempting to kill her, the test subject shuts this AI down and escapes but gets dragged back in the facility, and in the second portal she and along with a friend (also a robot) accidentally re-powers up this AI but she DOES escape but not before going through a Miscommunication Saga with the other two characters (you should actually go see portal 1 and 2 its so cool and lovely)

so like i was just thinking Rocky being the test subject character Chase being the AI (there are lore reasons /pos) and Marshall being the one who assists Rocky in escaping which kind of leads to this funny interaction Chase: Hey, who turned off the lights? Marshall, opening a wall to help Rocky escape: (Horrible accent) Hey buddy! Ahm speakin' in an accent that is beyond his range of hearing! Rocky, in pure disbelief: ... Marshall: Ah know ahm early, but we gotta go RIGHT NOW! Walk casually towards my direction, and we'll go shut 'im down! (Rocky approaches Marshall) Chase: Hey, metal dog, I CAN hear you. Marshall: Run! I don't need to do the voice! Run! RUUNNN!

and this (Rocky tries to escape through a door, the door then falls revealing it to be a trap.) Chase: I sincerely, truly, did not think you would fall for that. (He starts to corner Rocky) In fact, I devised a much more elaborate trap when you got through this easy one. If I had known you'd let yourself get trapped this easily, I would have dangled a turkey leg on a rope from the ceiling Rocky determined not to react because he doesn't want to give Chase the satisfaction of a response:

Marshall: (To Rocky) AH! I just looked down, I do not recommend it. AHH! I just did it again!

all this really stemmed from how i think marshall and the test subject's friend would get along really well,,, but I hope this didn't cause too much discomfort on your end! (very ooc im aware, but it was fun)

I'll end up looking on Youtube or whatever to watch as I can't buy games XDD I always see people talking about these, my friends on Telegram too, now you got me curious too LOL

These interactions seemed absolutely PRICELESS to imagine XDDD I can picture Rocky like TRYING SO HARD TO NOT REACT it physically hurts AUSHAUSHAUSHAUSHAU

☒ Is there any sort of behavior towards your muse (ic or ooc) that you simply cannot stand?

IC wise: anything that basically... forces my muses hand into caring deeply for yours whether it be platonic or romantic when really they barely know each other? And by “force” I don’t even mean an explicit “If you don’t X you don’t care about me” I mean stuff like... throwing my muses into a “my muse is dyiNG/injured/etc help them oH NO ITS SO SAD THE ANGSTTTT” when they’ve had like... 3 interactions? Because stuff like this twists my arm because if my muse just goes “rip that’s rough buddy” they look like a giant immoral asshole but the reality is they just aren’t that invested?

OOC: Expecting a ship (mostly romo) out of Seto I have SO MANY things in my rules saying why this just doesn’t really work with my Seto and I really dislike that lowkey expectation underlying all their interactions. Seriously I’m begging people--I get being shy, I am too, but if our muses have had a few interactions that have had some solid chemistry and bounce off each other well PLEASE just shoot me a IM saying like “Hey, I’ve noticed they interact real well and I kinda ship it (also please specify romo or not) so would you be up for that?” *that clears the air SO MUCH and makes it so we can work toward better interactions and plot to get there or plot out their timeline so we aren’t chronologically locked.

I honestly do love plotting out timelines/relationships/etc, again so long as the characters bounce off each other well. I’d rather communicate and be clear about things with another than be doing an odd dance of unknown.

*I will say however, I am less likely to do this myself because my brain often goes into an Ace Space (tm) so unless the conversation goes into a non-platonic field I’m really just not thinking of it as a possibility, sorry about that! It’s literally just not how my brain functions lol.

❉ What is a dream AU for you? If you haven’t done it yet, why not?

Other than what’s stated here a while back I did get on the thought train of a like, a Timelord (doc.tor who) or immortal time traveler AU for Diva? Idk I feel it would suit his character and could be interesting but I also have 0 interest in going near that rpc fandom so uhhh. Maybe just generic immortal time traveler inspired by a lot of DW elements XD. I dunno, it’d be intresting for some interactions but as for bigger plot I don’t have many thoughts which is probably the main reason why I haven’t done anything with it.

Bros wise though? Idk, I think something where Mokuba takes the spotlight more would be nice. I know people have done roleswaps or ageswaps for the bros and those are neat but I wouldn’t want to retread old ground. (Though that reminds me, I have that ficlet idea still in my drafts of a dimension where Seto’s KC takeover plan failed and he was met with an “accident” by Gozaburo but Seto’s contingency plan worked and Mokuba was able to remain a Kaiba). He’s definitely the more interesting out of the Poke AU I feel, Trainer Seto just kinda vibes lol. So idk.

◑ What is a side to your muse you want to show off, but haven’t had the chance to yet?

Another one for Moki: While like the one mentioned here it would be tricky and hard, I would like to touch upon and him being a Loveless Aro tho like, as one conversation/part of a bigger thread when the characters are doing something else after (I’m really not a fan of ‘the coming out’(tm) plots where that’s the only thing happening and treats the character as solely defined by their orientation/identity because ew). But it is a big part about him and how he sees the world and interacts with others.

It’d just... also kinda be hard because I imagine for most muses that Mokuba would be close enough to in order to bring up the subject, Mokuba saying something along the lines of “I like you of course, but I don’t love you” would sound kinda bad to their ears.

oh man im sorry this is SO strange to me because like. in my mind their positions are SO fucking fixed. i don’t think sam could be the deputy cos because he’s too neurotic. i don’t think josh could be the deputy communications director because he doesn’t think before he speaks. i think that part of the beauty of the bartlet admin is that everyone is very well-suited to the role they play. there are no jacks-of-all-trades (i mean, i’m not saying they’d all be totally incompetent, but they’re all REALLY good at what they do and really focused).

THAT BEING SAID...

sam gets to bust out his lawyer skills to intimidate the senators on the hill, and he usually knows what he’s talking about more than they do

josh does a lot of dictating speeches out loud to donna to see what sounds right and FEELS right when he says it

this also gets him many more bouncy-ball window attacks than sam

leo has to take a different approach to dressing sam down if he does something impulsive because sam gets SAD -- that is until he’s comfortable with the job more and then he starts talking back

josh has been known to literally be making physical edits to the pages of a speech and hand the final copy to bartlet as he walks out on stage, covered in red pen

I’m happy to provide some answers/insights as for what’s in store for this... story. store... story... i feel like there’s a pun somewhere there. ANYWAYS.

DEFINITELY SPOILERS AHEAD!

1 & 2. (because the answers are related)

There’s still a lot to develop with Lance’s family! Not only in the epilogue, but in the SEQUEL TOO! Yes, that’s me, confirming for 100% no maybe’s, but’s or if’s about it.

There’s going to be a sequel. Because there was just too much of these two boys to shove into one story,

Although I won’t reveal everything, here’s some things to look out for (rather in the epilogue or the next installment!)

- Lance’s unanswered letters. What gives, right? Well, something gives alright. Something gives.

- Veronica/Lance parallels incoming!!! ...after all, I’ve heard McClains have a type 👀

- Hira closure. (And closure with Nadia, Adela and Emely, too!) They might not “technically” be family, but they’re definitely connected to Lance enough at this point that their own stories are irrevocably intertwined. We’ll be seeing more of them, at least enough to... satisfy, I hope. :)

3. I LOVE YOU! And to express that, here’s a gift of unpublished material from me:

(some context -- while writing Lance’s ‘dream’ sequence, I was feeling a little burnt out and a friend of mine nudged me on this post, so I wrote a quick drabble from Lance’s POV)

Fuck fuck oh god fuck he’s coming this way he’s really angry I’m so dead fuck he’s really hot though shiT SHIT --

A hand hit the fence beside his head, and Lance was glad his uncle was a funeral director; his Mamá could probably at least get a wonderful discount on his casket.

“What the fuck did you say to me?”

I probably deserve this. Turning in the Macbeth assignment late, what the fuck, McClain? What the fuck were y--

Keith Kogane was about two inches away from him, breath still heavy with the scent of tobacco. “Hey, sweater vest, are you deaf?”

“Uh -- uh, n-no.” He cleared his throat, did his best to make his gaze steely. “But you’re not supposed to smoke up here.”

There was an extended pause, a single eyebrow raising far into that awful mullet’s hairline. Who even has a mullet anymore, it’s 2019! Also, whomst the fuck allowed him to have such intense eyes?

“You’re in my stats class,” Keith said bluntly, gaze turning at least marginally less hostile. “Taylor, right?”

Oh c’mon, seriously?!

Now he was getting a little angry too, putting his hands in between the very-small distance between their chests. “My name is Lance, asshole.”

“Lance?” The guy said the name like a question, like he was trying to deem if it was worth his time. “Hmm. You’re pretty rude, judging someone you don’t know. What’s it to you if I smoke?”

“It’s not allowed on school grounds, I don’t care what you do with your lungs.”

Alarmingly, Keith’s constant state of passive-anger shifted. (because that’s exactly what this jerk’s demeanor was, a kettle two-seconds away from boiling over) Now, he wore a positively sinister smirk.

I am not emotionally stable enough for this what the fuck, fuck, fuck me -- no wait.

“Are you going to stop me?”

4. YES I HAVE SO MANY PLANNED AHHHHHH

As you likely know, I have a handful of current WIPs in the fandom:

cosmic dust never settles - A roleswap + Galtean AU, in which Lance and Allura are siblings; Lance pilots the Castle of Lions, Allura pilots the Blue Lion, and Galra-hybrid!Keef.

Not So Normal - A Stranger Things inspired fic, where Lance vanishes one night, and Keith “is going to turn the world upside down to get [him] back.” ST is not necessary to enjoy the fic -- just pulling some setting/plot elements from the show!

Unpublished ideas:

“as above, so below” (working title) - Persephone!Lance x Hades!Keith AU... also with the rest of the squad lmao because I’m weak for them. Thinking Apollo!Hunk, Zeus!Shiro and Hera!Adam (just without the crazy 15 spouses thing, ya know), Aphrodite!Allura... still working out Pidge, Lotor, Romelle and Coran atm. Still lots of thoughts percolating on this one!

“Coffee Shop [But Not Really]” (working title) - as the title says, it’s going to be set up/set in a coffee shop, but there’s going to be something untoward going on that makes it... not so obvious. I don’t want to say too much here because that’ll ruin the surprise/fun of it, and I’m still hashing out ideas on this so... I won’t say much more than that!

maybe a “daycare AU” where they’re in their 20s and Lance works with kids... I’m thinking maybe Keith gets involved because, while he’s not old enough to host foster kids, he is sort of a “big brother” figure to one or more kids in the community and they end up crossing paths that way. im just weak for lance being soft with smols and Keith being soft for Lance and... yeah
