Hey! Whats Treehill? Its been a while since I've listened to the fated and I've forgotten haha

Hilltree is a really sickly goblinoid NPC that Condi’s character Sylnan rescued from being eaten by Rats in the pre-story while Br’aad was away! He is very gross, physically, which I’m fine with, but the DM plays him in away that is very unappealing to me (constantly talking about wanting to fuck corpses, people, animals and stuff.)

The old DM has a lot of this kind of “humor” and the vibe of Fated so far has been pretty sexist, misogynistic and horny, which I’m not too big on. I’m only on the third episode though so I’m holding out hope that it gets better soon

Everyone is just down bad for npc’s played by grizzly that act fruity, have a slightly posh or smooth accent, and could step on you

jared the typa fella to make the dc checks so high none of the players succeed and then wonder why all of the sudden br’aad is leading the guards on a wild goose chase. like, my guy. why does br’aad scoring multiple performance/persuasion/deception checks OVER A TWENTY CONSECUTIVELY lead to the blue orc seeing through his PERFECT DISGUISE SELF. makes no sense. even if your players are being goofy its hard for some people to roleplay and charlie does a great job anyways. pisses me off how he plays by the rules so much and is such a stick in the mud. LET YOUR PLAYERS HAVE FUN DAMMIT!!!!!!!

Hot JRWI take of the day: Sylnan and Ollie would get along soooooo well. It would be a lot like Sylnan and Hilltree but with Ollie instead! I think Sylnan would see a lot of himself in little Ollie, and I think Ollie would be a bit intimidated by Sylnan but overall would want to help him and they’d be friends :) especially with the addition of Br’aad, because we know Ollie is a fan of pranks and Br’aad seems like the pranking sort :)

My notes so far of Fated episode 15:

-I still hate Hilltree. A lot. Stop fucking corpses, I am begging.

-I almost choked when they started playing a Kazoo version of a Pokemon battle theme for Shadow Br’aad shshdhshhs

-Apparently Rolling for whether a character has fucked before is an age old JRWI tradition harkening back to this episode and not, as I previously thought, Episode 11 of Apotheosis. It was still for a Charlie Slimecicle character though so I guess some things never change

I'm only like an hour into the first episode of fated cuz i haven't had much time to watch. in what way are the dm's jokes bad? cuz ive heard that the old dm was weirdchamp but idk any more than that so i just kinda wanna know what to expect. (you can answer publicly or privately if you want!)

Hmm examples I can think of off the top of my head rn are:

- Referring to annoying people as disabled multiple times and generally making jokes about mentally disabled/ill people several times

- Hilltree fucks corpses. He keeps being horny over people. It’s gross. Him and some of the PCs are also really horny over Taxi’s unconscious girlfriend at one point. I do not like Hilltree.

- Was weird and fantasy racist about duergar (essentially the dwarf equivalent of drow elves) who have dark skin. It was blegh. Also the first arc is immediately fantasy racist about tieflings, tabaxi and dwarves, which isn’t too awful on its own but combines with the other stuff to be very eh.

- Generally just some of the most rancid vibes I have ever encountered

- The party is a bit eh at some points too. Especially about any female characters. They get real horny over Velrisa, Wheatie’s character, the moment she’s introduced, but you probably already heard that part.
