Getting ready to hook up beta reading for Beyond Time and Space soon :eyes-emoji:!!!
How soon? No clue. I'm getting ready to put together a sign-up forum right after I post this, though!
Hoping some external insight can help ease my nerves a bit when it comes to how this project is coming along :) It's far from being done, but the first episode is going though some line edits, which is the version I plan on sharing and the only thing I plan on sharing with my readers this first round.
Very excited and very nervous at the same time! This is my first time doing this type of thing, so we'll see how it goes~

Hue Shipley
"This needs more TLC. Maybe that's why it's so brutal." - Hue's perspective on the world
Tumblr media
An aspiring storyteller in many forms, Hue Aster Shipley is a young girl with big dreams. She comes off as pretty shy, but once you get to know her, she's the most loyal and fun friend you could ever have (though, that doesn't come easy, in most cases). Her consistent bad luck in the world has given her a small fear of it that still has yet to be conqured, and as a result has made straying from her comfort zone (her head) tough. She feels the most like herself when being creative and working towards her aspirations. She's a huge fan of all things purple, glowing, and robotic.
SURFACE LEVEL INFO:
Name: Hue Aster Shipley
Nickname(s): Huester (combo of "Hue" and "Aster")
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Orientation: Aromantic
Pronouns: she/her
Age: 16
Birthday: July 20th
Height: 163 cm (5'4 ft)
TRIVIA:
Hue's birthday (July 20th) is the same day Tru, the creator of Beyond Time and Space, was diagnosed with social anxiety (July 20th, 2022)
the name "Hue" means "heart," spirit," and/or "lily flower"; the plant aster conveys purity and innocence, and both asters and lily flowers - specifically daylilies - are perennial flowers
The character Hue herself was created back in 2019, with her name being used instead for one of Tru's personas; her full name was "Hue Ships" around this time
^ The persona in question started out as an anthropomorphic animal hybrid between a chameleon and a shiba-inu, who was theoretically genderfluid, before making the drastic - admittedly boring change to a human girl; the chameleon's ability to change color is what gave Hue her name, with her last name tying to that of an older persona with the last name "star," becoming a play on the word "starships"
Hue's nickname (Huester) is utilized on Tru's main blog as a way to organize posts via tags (huesterfaves, huestersvoid, etc.)

9 People You Want to Get to Know Better
Major thanks to @ddbirb for the tag :)!! In exchange, I'll tag @boowhumps, @cosycaracal, @ioncedreamedaflower, @minutiaewriter, @eli-writes-sometimes, and whoever else wants to partake to fill the gaps bc i actually dont have a ton of tags ;;;
3 ships:
Tumblr media
#1: Soundwave x Shockwave (Transformers)
This ship is actually a lot more rare than I first assumed. Whenever I go digging up content of it, there's usually small rations here and there. No where enough to feed me but more than enough to appreciate.
I know for a fact that what I have to say about them won't do my perception much justice, as there's so much I could and want to dabble on, but I've been obsessed with this ship in particular, not because of my current Decepticon fixation (well, yes, because of that), but it seems kinda fitting, if that makes sense?? I also like the idea of a tsundere Soundwave and a Shockwave in denial (because its "ilLoGiCAl" or whatever lol), and the thought of just, y'know, two introverts being lucky enough to stumble upon and love each other in such a way is adorable to me :')
That was a little ramble-y. uhh... i won't do the same with the others dont worry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#2: Polymorphic/Vladimir x Vyrus (Databrawl)
I recently learned that people tend to get annoyed at this one because others call Vladimir a "simp" for Vyrus, but hear me out.
I've been wanting to get into Databrawl for the longest time now and study its lore, and from what I've encountered so far, I actually like their potential over anything else in this ship. I don't know about you, but I don't think there's anything more romantic than devoting your loyalty to someone, all while agreeing to help them conquer their (albeit, innocent) enemies and making sure they see their way through things. I love ships like that!
Not to mention that it's literally cannon that Vladimir is Vyrus's favorite Corruption. If we're talking about shipping, then this one's got the most important luggage, for sure X)
#3: I can't think of a third one, sorry :( (at least not one that isn't my OCs. If I could, it'd probably be related to warrior cats lol)
Last song:
haunt me (x3) by Teen Suicide. In fact, I'm listening to it right now as I type this out. What a coincidence!
Last movie:
Disney/Pixar Cars (2006). I walked in to my brother's room while he was watching it and, of course, I was glued to the screen :)
Last book:
Yann Martel's Life of Pi. I'm reading it for my English class and I LOVE it so far! Currently on chapter 9.
Currently consuming:
Heat. I'm freezing.
Currently craving:
Heat. I'm freezing.

Hello! This is your friendly inquiry to answer this ask with whatever you'd like to talk about right now! Whether that be a story you're working on, something you're excited or worried about, or just something random you happen to know.
All the love,
~ toribookworm ❤️
Ah, I guess I've been more on the lower side these past few days, so I'll spill the beans.
I've been slightly if not highly insecure about the progress of Beyond Time and Space recently. Things haven't really been stable since my family's been in the process of moving and, in the midst of that, losing Nygaard (my phone holding all of my important notes).
The things I want to use are all packed away in a storage miles from here, which includes my sketchbook, my stylus, and many more (which, as an artist who often gets art block, it's very frustrating when the inspiration hits and you can do literally nothing about it).
Then there's the insecurity surrounding my age. I'm a teenager. With my birthday coming on the 20th, that status won't change. Maybe it's just the mindset of "kids wishing they were grow ups" or whatever, but as of very recently, it's been getting to me. I've been motivated and inspired by other indie projects like mine, who have all of these incredible people behind them, helping make a vision into a visual. I would love to do that! I'm already doing that!
The thing is, though, is that I lack connections. I'm pretty much going solo in this. As someone as young as myself (who also has diagnosed SAD and possibly ADHD, little to no experience in such a collaborative environment, zero experience in running a project, and lacking the money and tools actually needed), I'm worried no one will be willing to work with me to bring my thoughts to an audience, let alone allow me to help bring theirs to one. I've been trying to start out small, posting what I enjoy and hoping to make friends along the way, as it would be a dream to work alongside friends more than anything, but it's been doing my mental health more harm than good, in the way that me having SAD cranks my anxiety with in-person interactions to 200% with online interactions. For the longest time, I forgot social media existed (still do sometimes, and I think that's also an anxiety response: repression or something like that? involuntarily forgetting the things that make you anxious), so my activity hasn't been the best anywhere anyway, to begin with.
I guess all of this sums up to me saying "I wish I could do things on my own" in a slightly desperate way. If I had the money - heck, if I had a way of transferring money, because people have been questioning about commissions too (at least they used to; idk where my audience is now, since I've been so inactive) - that would be so useful! I want to be able to receive funds for my own hard work, and give funds to others for theirs! It's all so frustrating X[
(on an unrelated note: now that I've moved, I'll probably end up having to celebrate my birthday with my family instead of the people I love most.)
So, yeah, that's pretty much it. Beyond Time and Space is nowhere near finished, and I guess, in a way, I'm kinda glad I don't have extra hands at the moment. I'd like to have the entire first season written before making any progress on visuals (besides... you know... the ones I already have). It's just gonna take a little longer than I wished, and with everything moving so quickly, it's kind of overwhelming me a little qwq A beta reader or two (besides my brother who kind of just lazily reads through it most times) would be nice, though, but I take forever to write scripts so maybe not XD
Thanks for the opportunity to rant on! I really needed to get this out, I think, and this ask couldn't have been timed any better :star-emoji:

Apologise for the lack of like. actual posts here, compared to just reblogs and stuff. Been a lot more active talking about my projects on Twitter (and being more active on my fandom side blog here).
To catch you all up to speed, here's some cool notes to take:
I'm making an object show! It's non-competition and has been sitting on the shelf for a few years now. First episode's written, the first quarter of the series is outlined, and storyboards are in the works. Hoping to open auditions soon!!
Art fight 's coming up! I'm prepping for that! (This wasn't supposed to be in the notes but I JUST remembered)
Progress on other things have been pretty slow, I will admit, but that's kinda due to 1) mental health I guess, more specifically my abundant headaches and not knowing the cause of them (which I've been dealing with for years, they just seem to be more and more disabling it seems), and 2) just a general lack of motivation. Despite all the cool things I have and want to work on, I can't seem to focus on anything for more than 5 minutes and it's very frustrating.
BUT, as a way to maybe spawn that motivation back (and just talk about all of the projects I have planned), I'm thinking about making practice pitch posts as a way to present them!! Think about that "comic sans presentation" meme I did a itty bit ago for Beyond Time and Space, but as a TV show pitch... and with other projects, both original and fan-based. When will I be posting these? No clue. But they're in the works right now so maybe look out for next month? Sure.
That seems to be about it! Thanks a ton for sticking around! I appreciate it so very much! Hopefully I can get out of this pit I'm in right now and pump out some juicy delicious content for you all come this summer ⭐⭐

Idk how long this has been sitting here, but very pleasant to come back to, nonetheless! :) I think it'd be approtiate to recap on things I've been doing.
As of recently, the progress of my main project, Beyond Time and Space, has been pretty slow, as Im in that phase again where I'm hopping between one project to the next (and loving it, too, for the most part). I thought it'd be cool to start indulging in fandoms and pre-existing media again, in terms of creating content. After having the thought of possibly working alongside officials to create media for some of my favorite IPs, I find having a record or some sort of experience in writing for some of my favorite things as a valuable asset.
Will any of these things get completely finished, though? Probably not. Because BTaS is the priority for me, in terms of concluding my passion projects, I'm totally content with making pitch bibles and simple character designs and brainstorming ideas for my fandom stuff. Best of both worlds, if I do say so myself :)
Very major thanks for the ask! Very bold move, too! Not too many people are willing to enter a gate that spells out so clearly "BEWARE OF DOGS" like that. Now you can go home and tell others that the dogs are actually super nice sweethearts that don't mind being poked at a little :)
^ I fr don't know what prompted me to type that, but whatever. I'm tired. I'll forgive myself .

BRO I JUST... BRAINED.
Thought up a new story idea that I just want to get out, so that when I move in and can actually draw again, I can make doodles inspired by it. OKAY.
I was reading something on here some time ago - maybe the other day, I can't remember, but it was recent - and while reading it, it mentioned kitsunes and how they have the ability to transform into humans (or can appear to be human-like).
Now, I already have a kitsune book im working on on the sidelines, so maybe I could imagine this to be like a comic or something visually, BUT! ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE...
KILL THE KITSUNE.
Kind of a violent title. It's pending, I promise.
Basically (HEAVY WIP IDEA INCOMING), this story would follow the journey of an ancient kitsune, as he traverses the likes of the modern world that he's slept upon up to this point. He learns how to navigate his life as an old spirit with plenty of experience in an older time, with his life as a human in present times.
The events I have in mind for this story involve the kitsune's time in this small town with a community of believers of mythical creatures like him (and maybe they do exist; maybe I could weave that in there) and, as a result, try to hunt them down for sport. This was my main inspiration for the title btw.
Maybe the kitsune knows these other creatures personally, maybe not, but if there were to be more mythical creatures than just him, I would like for there to be a little bit of background between some of them that come from the same timeframe as him, kind of to give a sense of that old life he's had. Alongside that, maybe way earlier on, he finds a young human companion to guide him in this new modern world.
Found family. Comedy. Fantasy. Another genre that's not coming to mind right now, but a fourth one could totally fit.
ANYWERS! That's all of me dumping my spur-of-the-moment story idea on here. Maybe I could elaborate on it for fun in the near future ⭐

Y'all I REALLY gotta redo my intro post
It's almost been a whole year since I made this new account, and upon inspecting other people's intros (and realizing how messy and slightly outdated mines is), I think it could use a bit more organizing. More WIPs to add, more interests to mention, just general changes need to be made.
I plan on making a "meet the artist" post that introduces me as both a visual and literary storyteller, in some way or another. I'll figure something out :)

They're the same brand as my tablet, and all other styluses I've used on it has worn out quickly, so I'm hoping that by these being the same they'll last a lot longer . Fingies crossed 🤞

The process of moving away has been so heartbreaking, specifically these past few days.
Sucks I have to leave so many incredible people behind. I'll miss them all a lot - now even more, knowing they'll miss me too :'(

A wee late to posting this in terms of CST but happy new year!! Starting 2023 off with some cute cat slippers as a surprise gift was dope
As mentioned in the screenshots, their names are Morty (left) and Rick (right)
They say black cats are bad luck, but I'm willing to debunk the myth with whatever minor successes I make with these guys hanging around:)

Huester's Pacing Thoughts (HBOMax/WB Discovery and Animation)
Decided to post this on Tumblr of all places because 1) I don't really feel like making a twitter thread that may not even fit all of my thoughts, and 2) I haven't been getting much satisfaction typing on a word document recently because school started back up and I can't seem to use it without thinking about that, apparently.
I just wanted to utilize this energy I've built up while pacing around the room with my thoughts to ramble about my current gripes with the whole thing between HBOMax/Waner Bros Discovery and animation. I'll probably regret this later, as I get totally overwhelmed speaking my mind, but animation literally means the world to me and I'm feeling mighty courageous right now, so I'll give it a shot.
IDK how long this is gonna be, so I'll put a small wall here to bless your scrolling experience. You're so super welcome :)
Yo, you actually care about what I have to say? Thank the blue moon!
My thoughts may not be communicated well, due to me feeling so strongly about this, so I apologize if my writing comes off as a little clumsy.
I don't know a single person who thinks the opposite so far (other than the people behind this, apparently), but I'm extremely frustrated with the decision made to erase several animated shows from the platform. Shows like Close Enough, Infinity Train, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart (my beloved), and Mighty Magiswords (my beloved and my childhood) are all being tossed into a drenched wasteland, totally inaccessible to the public (maybe unless you pirate or something). Not only that, but the history of these shows are being replaced by space, too! From what I hear, the Infinity Train pilot and all other content has been deleted off of Cartoon Network's YouTube Channel and the show's soundtrack has recently been removed from streaming services, such as Spotify.
In addition to the above, all future content for these shows has also gone down the drain. For example, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart was supposed to get a second season - one that my brother and I hyped over for 2 YEARS - fully complete and ready to go, only for this to happen and the season to never see the light of day.
This is where the knuckles get cracking. And I mean AUDIBLE cracking.
I am beat by the constant disservice of animation. We - the people who care - are beat by the constant disservice of animation. Not only is it massively disrespectful to the series, but it's disrespectful to the team(s) behind them, the fans of the content, and to the people who pay for this streaming service just for these shows (I know you all are out there... maybe...).
It's not just HBOMax, either, though. It's some major houses in general, contributing to the fall of what made them rise to begin with. They're just about being their own grim reapers, in a weird sense. I very much understand that new heads and whatnot run these houses, but the fact that they have that position to begin with should mean that they care at least a bit about these properties and their history. I tend to forget, though, that that's not always the case.
There are so many other examples of animation and the people behind them getting similar levels of disrespect, other than the complete erasure of them from the face of the Eather. A major part of that having to do with how animation is perceived, from the looks of it. You've got the teams of these shows being mildly overworked and underpaid (and still fighting for fair treatment) and animation being boosted less than whatever else we've got going around. While the thought of at least some stuff getting pushed is great, it's also super degrading and exhausting at the same time.
These points further enforce the false idea of animation being a medium "just for kids," and therefore not worth the same amount of time and recognition - and being viewed as less valuable - than whatever else is being produced in other storytelling mediums.
Coming from someone who is a minor, animation is not "just for kids." Never has been, and never will be.
Coming from someone who has had past experience with animation, has been wanting to get back into it and take it seriously, and has a brother whose been working on a webseries of his own for the past 2 years now with a totally neat crew of voice actors, other animators, and background artists, it is a lot of work, and deserves all of the attention in the world.
Coming from someone who is passionate about storytelling, animation is the best form of it we have ever had, and probably ever will have... unless something better comes into the mix and outshines it, which I doubt.
You wanna know why I doubt that?
Because animation is art, and art is forever.
Art is created by the hands of the soul. Sometimes, many souls. Art often reveals the journey of the person who created it, usually about a truth or lesson that they have grown to learn and wishes to share with others creatively, as a way to provide a sense of comfort to the viewer during their points of struggles, or just to entertain someone for even a second with something that catches their eye. Art comes with authenticity, intention, and a vision that the creator was willing to share with the world. To have their work consumed alive by some greedy time eater - acting like it never existed - is not only insulting, but it's also a major slap in the face; a shot to the heart. You're looking at the creator - who chose to be vulnerable - dead in the eyes, and saying, "You do not matter."
I don't know about you, but if that were me and my months-to-years of hard work, I would've combusted on the spot, have it be internally or externally. Maybe both, if I'm really feeling it.
So uh... yeah. That happened. We're all upset and somewhat hogwild. Now what?
Well, from what I've seen, people have been using this opportunity to boost and support indie animation until the big boys respawn into their senses. To that I say: GOD BLESS!
I am very much in love with indie animation, major reason why I usually have nothing to talk about with my friends, and although all of this is very crappy, and we will NEVER forget it (best wishes to the teams and their hard work lost into time), the fact that this idea was the result of it is literally heart-throbbing to me! Like I love to see it! Even though I love indie animation, I actually don't have a lot of stuff on my radar, so I'm willing to see what pops out of this.
To end this on a groovy note, go check out and support indie productions! As much as you can! Recommend some by commenting, if you made it this far and wish to share! WE ALL GOTTA EAT!!
Go look at Monkey Wrench and Defenders of Alodia! Go binge Eddsworld, Madness Combat, and Battle for Dream Island again! I'm this close to watching Helluva Boss, despite me not yet being of age, because I want to support the series as much as me and my dry wallet self can! (Had some second thoughts. Changed my mind. Still, go support it!)
There's another show known as Wayfarers of the Multiverse that I heard about on Instagram, supposedly releasing a pilot soon, if not already, so there's another one to go look at!
Also, shameless plug of my brother's own work, inspired by Battle for Dream Island, called Battle for Wonderland. It's still in the works and only has a few clips and a short posted right now, but a plan to release still holds to this year. I also voice act a character in that show, so all the more reason to check it out LMAO!
I'll provide links to all of these in time :)
Maybe, at some point, we can have a streaming service made SPECIFICALLY for animation, hopefully by people of the community, so we can have a home for stories of all sizes and prevent stuff like this from happening in the future, because these stories matter.
(or we could just get DVDs back in business. That'll work, too.)
