HWD Drabble Games – September 15th 2018
Fandom: Hetalia
Prompt: Decadence
Characters/Pairing: France/England
Notes: I slapped my low energy to post this drabble. Edit: ops, I post only half of it
England looked across the window with such bittersweet smile. At his hand, a bottle of wine.
"I'm a fool," he said. "I'm an empire at decadence. What a terrible fate..."
A fairy sat at his arm and struggle to take the bottle of his hand. He smiled and put it at the table, after taking another sip. He was clearly drunk.
He rose up from the chair and, almost tripping over, he went to the window.
He could fall. Maybe he would die. No, his fate wouldn't allow. He would survive and maybe became a joke. What a drunkard, to fall from the window...!
No one cares about his heath anyway.
The door opened and he look over there – it was France.
"Where are your manners?"
"I knocked... Wait, England, are you drunk?"
"Shuuut up!"
France only rolled his eyes and fill a glass cup with water. Then gave it to England, who, very opposed to it, drank it.
"You should take a rest."
"What are you doing here? Came to laugh at my state?"
"I was worried."
England laughed, not believing at him. Then he muttered an insult. France didn't cared and took him to bed. He didn't fight against him. Too tired for that. He welcomed his bed, so comfortable...
When he woke up, he saw a very worried France next to him.
"Why were you drinking when you had a terrible fever?"
"W... What...?"
"Don't you remember?" France was surprised. "You slept during two days and the fever made you delirious. God, I take care of you, you made me so worried."
"Why...?"
"Do I need a reason to take care of you?"
England fall silent. Maybe someone really cared about him.

Are you sad because all the good writers have left the Hetalia fandom?
Do you spend a lot of time focusing on famous authors that have been inactive for years, and fics that were published half a decade ago?
Do you miss the way the fandom used to be? Do you even feel like the fandom is dying and nobody is making fanworks as good as they used to be?
Well, I have some good news for you - Hetalia fanfic is alive and well, and there are many wonderful authors still active in our fandom!
So, where do I start looking?
Luckily, five other wonderful people from our fandom and i have put together a blog that has an archive of recently-written hetalia fanfic, just for people like you who want to find more fanfic and get to know more authors in the aph fandom but don’t know where to begin!
The HWD Official Blog is the Tumblr account for the Discord server we run - the Hetalia Writers’ Discord, a growing community of over 100 active writers! On the HWD, we come together to share our work, exchange feedback, support one anothers’ projects, make friends, get motivated to finish projects, and more! And we’re in the process of collecting all of the work of our writers on the HWD Official Blog , so that any and all of you lovely people in the fandom can check out what we have to offer!!
And we have it organized into an easy-to-use directory format just for you. Here’s how to get started browsing!
FANFIC: If you’re looking for fanfic in general and you don’t have a specific character or pairing in mind, this is the place for you! Our Fanfic tag includes only writing by our members - no blog maintenance, update or announcement posts - and includes all characters, ships, genres and ratings.
TAG DIRECTORY: This is the place to go if you’re looking for works that feature specific characters, pairings, ratings or genres! HWD is completely ship-neutral and hosts works of all pairings.
CREATOR DIRECTORY: This is the place to go to check out our wonderful writers by name, including their Tumblrs, their AO3 and FFN accounts, and more! This page was put together by Mod Sara, @kanadka !!!
Our directories are always being updated and added onto!! If you don’t see your favorite ship or character, don’t worry - we are still in the process of adding to our archive and categorizing all the fanfic we already have on our blog, and you’re sure to find more if you explore the general Fanfic tag!
But to help you get more of a feel for what we’re all about, here are some of my favorite fics from our writers!
Non, je ne regrette rien by @gnostic-heretic

god who ate everything by @52px
Characters: Rome, Carthage, Etruria, Macedon, Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt
Pairing: Carthage/Etruria
Rating: G
Genre: Historical, Drama
“—did this world feed you?
The pallid web of peace sticking the Mediterranean together since the last war is cut into pieces. To discuss just how unhappy the Romans are that Carthage is not dead yet, Carthage himself is called to Rome. Easier said than done, as he has been under the ancient equivalent of house arrest for years and is barely fit to board a boat. What's worse, to test his limits, the living ghost nation must travel much deeper into Italy than anticipated. Along the way, Carthage faces supernatural feelings centuries-buried before he faces his final grave.”
Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man by @bonjourxrenae
Pairing: America/Lithuania
Rating: G
Genre: Fluff, Romance, Historical
“Missisippi, 1928. Alfred receives a new record for his Victrola. Upon trying to serenade his houseguest Toris with showtunes, he winds up being serenaded instead.”
Between Shadows. by @morgenstille

Star Crossed by @flyingsassysaddles
Pairing: Nyo!Tibet/Nyo!Mongolia
Rating: T
Genre: Historical, Romance, Tragedy
A favorite passage: “Khulan trembled, burying herself into the Tibetan’s chest and feeling the week pulse of her friend’s heart.
The pulse sang a song Khulan had been listening to for 13 years, from the first time she met the crying girl who had fallen off her horse, to the first time they held hands when playing in the snow, to when the girl trailed behind her as she brought the hunt back home, smiling when Khulan returned to her day and night.”

But the world he lives in is not what it seems when he finds himself plunged into a role that only existed in the comics that Feliks liked. But he isn't alone in all this. He's glad for it, considering monsters and portals showing up left, right, and center.”
Wonderfully creative Sailor Moon AU that Lilly has put a ton of hard work and love into!!!

La Pioggia by @lluviadinoche
Pairing: Spain/Romano
Rating: G
Genre: Fantasy, Alternate Universe
“He loved through a paper. Words that sang and touched his soul lighting fires in the deepest parts of his soul. Antonio was in love. If only who knew with who.”
Castaway by @paperbarks
Characters: Australia, England
Rating: T
Genre: Historical
“All I want is you gone,” says Australia. The imperial statutes, the English judges, the marks of foreign settlement, the hoisted flags – all of it escapes him in the moment. Later he might think it childish, but in the present, England is an all-encompassing entity. England’s absence is the absence of control.”
The Gods’ Share by @kanadka
Characters: Lithuania, Poland, Prussia
Pairing: Lithuania/Prussia
Rating: M
Genre: Historical
“At the beginning of the 1400s, the Teutonic Order was at the height of its power. Their navy ruled the Baltic and their Prussian cities were affluent enough to wholly cover the cost of maintaining the crusading army of the Teutonic Knights as a standing force. By 1435, the country was demoralised and discontented, trounced by a gang of heretics, and all but powerless. Here's how it happened.”
And we have many, many more where these wonderful fics came from!
So check out our blog and take a look!! We are a growing community and we’re adding to our fic archives all the time, and with your support we can continue to grow and make this fandom a more creative, encouraging, and happier place to be!!! <3

Notes: Honestly I have the feeling that I already posted this, but I can't find it, so I'm posting (again?). This was based on my brother's experience.
They shouldn't have drunk that shot.
They shouldn't.
That night, Antonio, Francis, and Gilbert decided to drink a shot called Mechanical Orange and, dammit, that was so strong.
They got drunk quickly. So much so that they didn't even think twice about invading a church that was being restored – they sat on the stairs, watching the passing cars.
Francis, a student of architecture, began to ramble over the structure of the place. He talked about the artistic and architectural movements, what he liked and what he didn't like. He spoke of everything in great detail. The other two were intervening, giving their opinions they didn't even know they had. Damn, Antonio almost jumped at Francis because the latter didn't like a thing at that wonderful church!
Gilbert had them shut up. There was a car with a blinking light. Fuck, it was a police car! They came to get them!
And they fled. In slow motion. They were slow, even drunk.
Also, it wasn't a police car. It was the garbage car. But to them that didn't matter. They needed to run away.
Once they were far enough (ie, at the corner of the street), they stopped and noticed on graffiti on the walls. Several "Bota Black" were scattered there. They, never in their life, have seen such a thing there. But there were so many... (The next day, that was not there, it was never there in the first place.)
They made their way to their house.
And, when they awoke next morning, there were oranges in their beds and a pineapple stuck to the wall and they are the only things this trio of idiots din't remember about that bizarre night.

HWD Drabble Games – July 22nd 2018
Fandom: Hetalia
Prompt: None, apparently
Characters/Pairing: Greece/France
Notes: Based on a true story *sobs*
Francis had a fuzzy and elegant cat and, like the owner, ate gourmet food.
Well, his boyfriend, Heracles, thought that was an exaggeration – poor cat. Then, in secret, he decided to give to him some ham.
Happy mistake.
Now, whenever he went to the kitchen, there was the cat, meowing and waiting for the snack. It was frightening: the cat looked into Heracles' eyes as if reading his soul.
Damn the time he decided to give the cat a piece of ham. At least, Francis hadn’t discovered...
"When are you going to tell me that you're giving ham to Pacha?" Francis asked, smiling as he saw the cat meowing louder and louder.
... Oh damn.

Tumblr media
Accor has signed a 24-pool villa resort in Phuket, Thailand. The V Villas Phuket - MGallery is being developed on a hilltop near Ao Yon Beach, approximately 1 hour by road from Phuket International Airport and 20 minutes from Phuket Town. The resort, scheduled to open in H2 2020, will feature five F&B outlets, a swimming pool and a spa & wellness centre.
Tumblr media
Khun Vichaya Poolvaraluk, owner of V Villas Phuket - MGallery, said, “V Villas Phuket is destined to be an unforgettable destination with its privileged location high up on the hills overlooking the Ao Yon Bay in southern Phuket. Heathrow Introduces New Charges for Night Time Flights
Tumblr media
In a bid to crack down on the number of flights disrupting the communities closest to London Heathrow, airlines that operate unscheduled flights within the Night Quota Period from 23:30 to 06:00 will face a bill five times greater than daytime charges. The move is in response to community feedback on ways to improve noise impacts and complement Heathrow’s wider noise action plan and follows Heathrow’s latest Fly Quiet and Green league table which saw SAS take the top spot following their efforts to improve operational performance and invest in greener and quieter A320neos.
Tumblr media
The next generation aircraft make up seven per cent of flights from Heathrow and are used by eight of the airlines based at the airport including British Airways, SAS, Lufthansa, Air Malta, Iberia and TAP, who all feature in the top 20 of this quarter’s ‘Fly Quiet and Green’ league table. The table was introduced in 2013 in an attempt to encourage cleaner and quieter fleets at Heathrow. Heathrow Community & Stakeholder Engagement Director, Rob Gray, said, “It is really important that we work with our local communities and airlines to strictly manage aircraft noise at Heathrow. We continue to take vital steps to improve matters, including our new noise charges on all flights that arrive or depart the airport during the night. Since the 1970s, despite a doubling of the number of flights, the population significantly affected by aircraft noise around Heathrow has reduced by around 90%. We believe the number of people impacted by aircraft noise will continue to reduce as we work towards a quieter, better future for Heathrow through the use of noise envelopes and our Noise Action Plan.” See latest Travel News, Interviews, Podcasts and other news regarding: London, Heathrow. Montara Hospitality Unveils Details of Tri Vananda Wellness Project in Phuket
Tumblr media
Thailand's Montara Hospitality Group has unveiled plans to develop a comprehensive health and wellness residential community in Phuket, Thailand. Scheduled for completion in 2022, Montara is investing over THB 6,600 million (USD 220 million) in the development of Tri Vananda, which they say will be one of Asia’s largest and most comprehensive wellness residential communities. Tri Vananda will feature 298 villas, anchored by a wellness resort specializing in integrative and functional medicine and cognitive wellbeing, in a sprawling hillside setting dotted with lakes and gardens 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport. Tri Vananda's health center will offer consultation rooms, physiotherapy and TCM treatment rooms, a cognitive health center, and facilities for health diagnostics aimed at treating residents and guests with tailored programs.
Tumblr media
A mindfulness center on the lake will have an indoor hall and outdoor areas for meditation. Also situated on the lake will be a spa with thermal rooms, relaxation areas, a hammam, private spa suites, and a fitness center with a 50-meter swimming pool, gym, sauna, juice bar and lake pier for recreational water sports. Finally, a dedicated club designed for children will help to foster a wellness-led lifestyle for younger community members. Two and three-bedroom solar-powered residential villas ranging in size from 270 square meters to 750 square meters have been designed by Habita Architects, renowned for their nature-focused work, together with Arsom Silp Institute of the Arts.  The teams in both firms are led by National Artists and UNESCO-recognised architects. Interior design will be helmed by the award-winning P49 Deesign. “With the future in mind, Tri Vananda will be a multigenerational community rooted in a way of life based on the principles of wellness, sustainability and hospitality. Here, our residents and guests will enjoy some of the most fundamental and cherished attributes for overall wellbeing like clean air and nature, which are increasingly lost in urban settings, while having access to proven health and wellness therapies and programs,” said Montara's CEO, Kittisak Pattamasaevi. Villa sales start in July 2020. See latest Travel News, Interviews, Podcasts and other news regarding: Wellness, Montara, Phuket.
