drawing each of your partners away from their respective lords would take different courses of action because the nature of their devotion is different

snake fruit would be pretty easy to convince as the only thing fuelling their servitude is the chance of ascension, which you could also offer

hydrangea, meanwhile, is loyal to a fault and does anything she can for her dragon because she wants to — so you’d need to put in immense effort to draw her away

of course both of them adore you, they are courting you after all, they just need a bit of a push to abandon what they’re used to and fully devote themselves to you

but once you succeed, this relationship would be fantastic for a dragon like yourself

they wait on you hand and foot: cooking you food, massaging the knots out of your muscles, defending you from dissenters and fluffing your pillows

just doing anything and everything they can to ensure your comfort — both out of a want to keep you comfortable as your partners and out of an underlying desire to serve you based on your status as a dragon

normally you would just accept the worship of lower beings without complaint, but as these are individuals you do actually care about you return the favour where possible

helping hydrangea style her hair and having her dressed in the most comfortable, intricate robes that money can afford

advising snake fruit in its dream of becoming a dragon by speaking of your experiences and talking to your kin to try and locate whatever information on the process you can

calling them your mortals, your treasures and your precious little mates

hydrangea calling you ‘my love’ and ‘my dear’

snake fruit calling you ‘my liege’ and ‘my dragon’ — spoken with more reverence and affection than they ever held for longan

you covering them and drowning them in all of the luxuries that your status afforded you

curling your body around them as you rest, only falling asleep once you were certain that they were safe and comfortable

threatening any and all dragons that came near your mates or your territory — only soothed by snake fruit’s reassurances and hydrangea’s gentle touches

sharing stories of your long life on quiet evenings, snake fruit sat across from you with a notepad they don’t scribble on as much as they should whilst hydrangea hangs off of your arm or lays across your lap

hydrangea is much more physically affectionate and, if you let her, she’ll pretty much always be touching you somehow

snake fruit, meanwhile, shows their care through quality time — being in the same space as you as you do your own things, occasionally checking to make sure you’re okay before returning their attentions to their research

they both do love you dearly but it comes in different forms: hydrangea adores you as a partner but she also reveres you as an idol, snake fruit cares for you as a spouse and sees you as a mentor — an example of who they want to be — and treat you accordingly

this lends itself to a distinct power dynamic but it’s nothing you haven’t experienced in the past so none of you are bothered by it
