Project Runway 16.7
Teams of two on a menswear-inspired challenge, with the fabric provided from the menswear models.  It really plays into the thematic open of the season with the interplay of male vs. female style and the blurring of all these artificial lines.
I sort of love that Ayana, who designs with modesty in mind, is paired with Michael, whose schtick is bondage wear.  This could either blow up or be absolutely amazing.  Looking forward to seeing what they design.
I repeat myself, but I’m damn sick of the designers complaining about having to design for a model who is larger than a size 2.  (Also, does anyone else remember Tim Gunn once referring to a size 8 model as “zaftig” in a previous season?  Glad to see him getting beyond that.). It is way beyond the point of the competition where that should be a concern to you.
Side note: I absolutely adore the blue crystal doorknob on the Tim Gunn entrance to the workroom.
Cut for spoilers.
Brandon and Kentaro: (Kentaro has immunity.) I like the black tunic.  Definitely one collection.  Love the play on the fabrics, with both having the plaid over, but swapping light and dark for top and bottom on both.  I just feel like I’ve seen this from them before, with the baggy, shapeless parts and the skirt-over-pants or shorts-over-pants.  Didn’t we wear that in 1992?  Oversized plaid and shorts over tights? At least it’s not flannel (Top)
Ayana and Michael: Love the oversized shirt and the offset collar.  The pants are sort of forgettable.  I do like the jacket in the red, but both look a little like nurse uniforms, maybe?
Batani and Margarita: Love the red velvet dress.  It is great for fall.  Do wish that there was a little relief to the color, or something offsetting.  Something on the lapel, or on the seams.  Great pleating in the back.  That shirt-material wrap dress is super cute.  I love the slit up the back and the accent on the wrap.  I want Margarita’s dress to win.  It is just so interesting, so not-something-we’ve-seen, and so ready for . (Also, I want the butterflies dress Batani is wearing for herself on the Runway) (Top). WINNER!  Go get Margarita’s dress.
Amy and Kenya: I like the dark skirt and grey top, though it seems like a vintage look that shouldn’t come back.  Denim suit is very Kenya, with the peplum--rather iterative of her evil look in a previous challenge.  I like the detailing. (Bottom)
Claire and Shawn: Jeans, a t-shirt, and a sweatshirt arm tied around the waist?  This is original?  I hate the two-tone shirt.    I don’t hate the dress, but it’s not a look I would choose to wear. I would walk past it without a second look. Actually, given the second look, it looks like something a high school student in Home Ec class would make and tack stuff on to make it fancier.  Can we send both of them home?  (Bottom).  One out, but not yet?  What the everliving fuck?   When has not knowing who created exactly what garment ever been a bar against AUF’ing someone?  To be continued?  Utter BS.

Not upgrading your wardrobe with the present-day trends is like sticking yourself in a bad relationship. It’s like keeping the cadaver of your dead cat, even when you know it’s dead af. The only wise decision is to move on, bury the remains & accept the inevitable change.
If you’re ever confused between white & black, choose blue. Pasta and risotto, order a lasagna. Coke & Pepsi, have a thumbs up. Doesn’t make sense? Well my point here is that sometimes wild choices make all the difference.  Also timing plays an essential role, if you aren’t up to date, chances are that you’re gonna lose the game.
.
Don’t worry! I have your back at least in making you aware of what’s trending in fashion? From NY Fashion Week to Indian Fashion Week, I’ve got you all covered.
Current/Trending:
1.
The Velvet Vogue:
Velvet is making a huge comeback & I can not wait to fill up my wardrobe with this enchanting fabric.
From jumpsuits to tailored jackets, velvet & its allys like silk is booming everywhere these days. And why not? It looks so slinky, slutry & rich. I had plenty of ideas in my mind on how to add more quirkiness to plain velvet apparels & giving them an edge.
All black everything. (well mostly everything) Have a look at this black velvet hoodie from H&M.
Try & resist yourself but tell me honestly if you haven’t fallen in love with it already.
Benefits of having this stunning piece of clothing is that it saves you from the unpredictable weather because it’s not fully warm but just enough to give you that feeling of warm cuddles.
Related accessories–
Round Sunglasses- Marc Jacobs, Black bead handbands- Thrifted
White sneakers- Zara.
2.
Faux Leather–
The time has come when I present the main attraction of this whole look which is indeed sorcerous. The black faux leather trousers. Attention seeking? Yes. Body fitted? Yes. And fascinating as fuck? Hell Yes. There’s no chance that people won’t turn around in the club to have a look at your alluring attire.
And it’s thriving this season, thanks to Joanne (Lady Gaga) for wearing that kickass underboobs flashing outfit on this year’s Grammy Awards, showing off her amazing figure & choking the ungrateful body shamers.
3.
Faux Fur–
Name one fashion geek who isn’t fond of faux fur, I’ll wait. I mean since the first episode of Scream Queens( Thriller-Comedy T.V Series) Most of Chanel’s outfits are made out of faux fur. TMI? okay. Everyone from Bebe Rexha to our highly adored rapper/singer Maclemore
Cape Cardigan- Forever 21
Deep Round Neck T-shirt- H&M
Sling Bag– Claire’s
4.
Tench Coats-
I’ve already mentioned in my previous articles that my love for trench coats is eternal. Here’s is another enticing long trench from my collection.
Pairing it up with this floral vest from Forever 21. Because you never know when it gets too hot.
Trench Coat– Punk
 Sunglasses- Forever 21
Using the faux leather trousers in all the 3 looks to show you guys how simple it is to slay them without any distress.
 5.
Sportswear alliance-
Mixing up your gym wear with your party attire is totally digging. I know the time when I’m at the gym at 7 & I gotta hit the bar at 9. The hack works perfectly. For instance I wore to a friend’s birthday party.
Top- Adidas Originals.
Bottom- Nike Dryfit Series.
Shoes- H&M/ Adidas
6.
Bell bottoms/ Flare Jeans/ Wide leg palazzo-90’s trend is coming back in a big way & I’m freaking out because Damn! I love it. Almost fully prepared for the sass, I’m still experimenting with my looks.
From stunning evening vibes to sophisticated work vibes, bell bottomed trousers work both ways.
This is what I wore on my birthday night.

Jacket/Shirt round the waist: Been there, done that? Well it’s back. Actually I’m wearing it right now while writing this article. You’d know if you follow my Snapchat.(Akshayeee)
-More common trends popping up this year:
12. Over-sized bombers
13. Windbreakers
14. High waist trousers
15. Super short shorts
Obsolete/Out fashion:
1.
Stretchable skinny jeans- No please. And no more Kurtas with those Jeans to college.
2.
Corset dress- Hell Naw Ladies. No more prom fantasics.
3.
White sneakers-  Okay sit down, we need to talk. I know how troublesome it is to clean your white ass sneakers everyday. And some people make it even worse by wearing the dirty ones, giving YOLO excuses. No, not anymore. Please. Okay? Good.
4.
Ultra low waist-
Excuse me, What the givenchy?  When was it ever in trend? Staaph, spare the horror.
5.
High heels/ higher than 5 or 6 inches-
Good, I won’t have to see girls falling on their faces in clubs anymore, pretending it’s a dance move. Furthermore, boys on the dance floor.
6.
Hippie/The Boho Style-
Well it supposedly had it’s day but “So Boho” it’s time for you to retire.
7.
Sweatpant Looks-
Yes! Majorly sweatpants tucked into your tube socks is a no no.
8.
V-Neck Sweaters
I’m still up for V-neck t-shirts for once in while if I don’t have anything else to wear but for work/office, please try & avoid them.
Since last year, there’re lot of changes going on in fashion & styling. Remember not to give a fuck, it’s up to you if you want to follow these trends.  I’ll try & bring you guys the best hacks, tips & my own trends, like I always do.
Be creative, be humble & feel free to write down in the comment section below.

New York Fashion Week 2019 Looks 5-7
Finally, it’s the home stretch of my NYFW 2019 looks!
New York Fashion Week 2019 Look 5: Honoring Indonesian Diversity with a gorgeous 2Madison Avenue Dress and White Booties
2Madison Avenue Dress | Bill Blass Peyton Booties | Jeff Wan Le Morne Lunchbox Bag | Chain Belt | Sunglasses | Sequin Sky Fall Statement Earrings | Cross Ring | Stackable Gold Rings | Hair Clip
PREPARATION
Once again for New York Fashion Week 2019, The Riviere Agency invited me to pick out some items to wear to the Indonesian Diversity Show, and I was immediately drawn to the lovely New York Downmidup Dress by 2Madison Avenue. Thankfully, this was another look that I was able to shoot ahead of time. My photographer and I got together on a pretty rainy day, but we were still able to get these gorgeous shots!
DAY 5 + LOOK 5
Day 5 of New York Fashion Week 2019 started with an early rise! At 9 AM, I headed straight to the Indonesian Diversity Show at Spring Studios. Indonesian Diversity proudly presents luxury ready-to-wear designers from Indonesia. As a big supporter of diverse designers, I was so happy that I was able to represent them this season showcasing the lovely dress from 2Madison Avenue! After the show, I went back over to Spring Studios to check out the Veronica Beard S/S ’20 Presentation. There was still one more show for the night, but I changed into my next look for an edgier vibe. Scroll down to Look 6 to see what else I was up to on Day 5!
THE BASICS
To start off this look, I chose the classic 2Madison Avenue New York Downmidup Dress. This dress from 2Madison Avenue looked as if I had just stepped out of an art museum in NYC. I’m not sure if it was the gorgeous high collar bow or the delicate details of the print on the bodice, but I certainly felt very chic and fabulous!
ACCESSORIES
Now for my favorite part…ACCESSORIES! Any time I have a reason to carry my Jeff Wan Le Morne Lunchbox Bag, I get so excited (use code “TheStyleWright15” for 15% off your purchase on Jeff Wan)! How could you not love this perfect little bag? The silver, crocodile pattern immediately catches your eye, while the lunchbox shape gives it that unique, specialty item feeling. For the dress, I decided to use a belt to draw attention to my waist. The belt I wore was a simple gold chain from Nine West, but you can shop similar belts HERE and HERE. I also added one of those cute little hair clips (shop exact by Lapo Hair HERE and similar HERE, HERE, and HERE) that have been trending lately. The delicate details are what brought this look to the next level!
Next up, I wore a pair of round sunglasses with a white, cat-eye frame (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE). For earrings, I had to throw in a pop of turquoise with a pair of my favorite Sequin Sky Fall Statement Earrings. For the last of my accessories, I needed to make a statement with some bling on my fingers. For the rings, I wore a statement cross ring (shop similar HERE and HERE) and a couple of chunky, gold stackable rings (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE).
SHOES
For the shoes, I chose the Bill Blass Peyton Booties. I love Bill Blass as a brand because they always make such quality shoes! The brightness of the white leather tied in so nicely with the dress and all of the accessories. I was so happy with the way it all turned out!

New York Fashion Week 2019 Look 6: Edgy/Street Vibes with a Femme Luxe Crop Top, Distressed Jeans, and a Champion Belt Bag
Shein Bleach-Wash Skinny Jeans | Femme Luxe Crop Top | Bill Blass Suede Boots | Champion Prime Fleece Sling Pack | Smoko Pom Pom Rainbow Unicorn Keychain | Jeff Wan White Wrap Bracelet | Sequin K Necklace | Choker | Red Wrap Necklace | Gold Rhinestone Hoops | Stone Bracelet | Silver and Gold Cuff | Brown Beaded Bracelets | Turquoise Beaded Bracelet | Camille Phoenix Crossover Ring | Brook & York Customized Ring | Silver Geometric Ring
PREPARATION
I was so excited to put together this look for the end of Day 5 of New York Fashion Week 2019. I wanted this look to showcase my edgy style, and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. Just like the last one, this was another look that I shot before with my photographer. When we came across the construction site, I knew it was the perfect location to capture the essence of the outfit.
DAY 5 + LOOK 6
Day 5 ended with one of my favorite shows, The Blonds. The Blonds are known for creating fantastic, over-the-top collections inspired by music, film, and art. As for location, the show was at The Al Hirschfeld Theatre. You might know it as the Broadway Theatre where Moulin Rouge is currently playing! Well this year, The Blonds and the cast and team of Moulin Rouge collaborated for The Blonds New York Fashion Week Show. The show was an immersive experience filled with live music and glamorous fashion, and I had so much fun!
THE BASICS
To start off this look, I went with this Femme Luxe Crop Top. The hint of neon green made this top stand out to be more than just any other black crop top. I also loved the one-shoulder cut because of the edgier vibe it added to the whole look. For bottoms, I paired the top with a pair of my go-to jeans, the Shein Bleach-Wash Skinny Jeans (get 15% off your Shein order through 9/30 using promo code “BTS354“). These jeans are perfect for when you want that distressed look!
ACCESSORIES
To start the accessories, I went with this Champion Prime Fleece Sling Pack. Fanny packs have been so “in” right now, and I am here for the trend. Next, I couldn’t help myself by adding an adorable Smoko Pom Pom Rainbow Unicorn Keychain to show off a little bit of personality. For Necklaces, I wore this Jeff Wan White Wrap Bracelet (use code “thestylewright15” for 15% off your purchase) as a choker. Then I layered it with another simple choker (shop similar HERE and HERE), one of my favorite Sequin Necklaces, and a red wrap choker (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE). I then paired my necklaces with some Gold Rhinestone Earrings (shop similar HERE and HERE).
For my wrists, I added some simple brown beaded bracelets (shop similar HERE and HERE), a silver and gold cuff bracelet (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE), a stone bracelet (shop similar HERE and HERE), and a turquoise beaded bracelet (shop similar HERE and HERE). To finish off the jewelry, I chose to bling out my hands with my Camille Phoenix Crossover Ring (get 15% off of any first time purchase on Camille Jewelry using my code “THANKYOU”), my Brook & York Customized Ring, and a silver geometric ring (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE).
SHOES
To finish off this look, I added these amazing brown suede knee-high boots by Bill Blass (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE).

New York Fashion Week 2019 Look 7: Fashion Forward with a Denim Crop Top, Harem Pants, and Sassy Accessories
Marsté Harem Pants | Denim Top | Jeff Wan Grand Baie Juice Box | Silver Heels | Sunglasses | Sequin Necklace | Snake Wrap Bracelet | Gold Earrings | White and Gold Beaded Bracelets | Turquoise Beaded Bracelet | Gold Snakeskin Bracelets | Turquoise Cuff Bracelet | Turquoise Stone Bracelet
PREPARATION
For my last and final look of New York Fashion Week 2019, I wanted to showcase my style as best as possible! I went for more of a cool and classic look, while still jazzing it up with fun accessories. My photographer and I shot this outfit right after visiting the Elie Tahari showroom! We were looking for a place to shoot around the area and were so excited to find that we were right next to the famous New York Public Library. Shooting in there was a little tricky because we had to be quiet, and we may have been told by a security guard to stop shooting (oops). Luckily, we managed to get some awesome shots quickly and in such a great location.
DAY 6 + LOOK 7
So, Day 6 of New York Fashion Week was an early start for me again. My friend Mary of @layersofchic and I hosted a NYFW event with The Salon Project at Saks Fifth Avenue. Starting at 10 AM, our friends could enjoy complimentary blowouts, glazes, and makeup touch-ups to help them get ready for the day. The turn out was great and everyone had such a fun time. I am so grateful for The Salon Project for not only helping put this on, but for being my #1 hair salon in the city! You can book your appointment HERE for color, cryoskin, or a hair trim!
Next up on the schedule was the Cynthia Rowley Show. They told the invitees to show up on the corner of Staple and Harrison Street, and I was amazed to see that they blocked the road and had the Runway Show right in the street! It was so unique and fresh, and the S/S ’20 collection was absolutely stunning. After the show, I was back to Spring Studios for the Bibhu Mohapatra show! It was ironically my first standing show (and will be my last hehe) of the season. The show was beautiful and filled with very high-end, flow-y, and structured pieces.
Last but not least, I got to customize a fantastic flask for Jay in the lobby at spring studios. I wanted to bring a little something back for him for having to deal with all my stress during the craziness of NYFW. I was so excited to be back on my way to Jersey and get some much-needed sleep!
THE BASICS
For this look, I started with the very cool Marsté Harem Pants. I loved the way these pants gave me a classy and boho feel at the same time. These are the kind of pants that could be worn dressed up, like me, or even very casual. I’d love to throw on some sneakers with these for another look to make them more street.
For the top, I added a sexy denim crop top (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE). My favorite thing about this top is the sweetheart neckline. It’s so flattering and looks extremely elegant!
ACCESSORIES
As mentioned before, Jeff Wan always has the cutest handbag designs. This juice box handbag (use code “thestylewright15” for 15% off your Jeff Wan purchase) is one of my absolute favorites. I am a huge fan of making a statement with accessories, and this bag is the perfect way to glam up any outfit.
As for jewelry, I, of course, am wearing one of my favorite Sequin statement necklaces and paired it with a beautiful pair of Shoptique Gold Earrings. To glam up the look, I added a ton of bracelets including some white and gold beaded bracelets (shop similar HERE and HERE), a turquoise beaded bracelet (shop similar HERE and HERE), and some snakeskin gold bangles (shop similar HERE and HERE). For the rest of my bracelets, I chose this incredible snake bracelet (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE), a turquoise stone bracelet (shop similar HERE), and a turquoise gold cuff (shop similar HERE, HERE, and HERE).
Lastly, I rocked a pair of black cat-eye sunnies (shop similar HERE and HERE).
SHOES
For my shoes, I wore a pair of these fabulous silver heels. You can shop similar silver heels HERE, HERE, and HERE.
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3730036″]
With that said, I sincerely hope you guys enjoyed all of my looks from NYFW 2019! Be sure to stick around to see all the exciting things that are coming next :-)!

Promising review: “Let me start off by staying I’ve never been a beach hat type person…until now! I love this hat! Well, I just got back from Belize and this hat was amazing. I love how adjustable it is. I was able to comfortably wear it while riding a golf cart, all day at the beach, and even out on a kayak without it blowing off or being too tight. And it was just the right coverage for me. Enough to protect my sensitive eyes and fair skin from the sun, yet not so large that it was in the way. I wore it much more than I thought I would because it was so useful. Cute and comfortable!” —Amazon Customer

Modern, Minimalist Mom Capsule Wardrobe – Year 3
My minimalist mom capsule wardrobe was so popular the last two years (and made dressing each day so fun and easy) that I couldn’t help do it again this year. Only a little bigger and even better.
Every piece here is a proven winner– that shirt, cardigan, hoodie, and pair of jeans that you’ll reach for again and again. The ones that you love to wear and can be worn a millions different ways. These are the items that keep us comfortably chasing the kids all day- cotton, denim, and sneakers- done in such a laid-back-chic way.
The result is a high-performing, workhorse of a wardrobe that will give you an effortlessly cool look every day of the week.
Plus, for the first time ever, the ENTIRE WARDROBE is from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so you have the opportunity to save big.
If you’re already a Nordstrom card holder, you can shop the sale now! If not, you’ll get your chance to shop these sales on Friday, July 21st. If you want to get in on these finds you have to hurry, though, items are selling out rapidly and the sale is ending soon.
  Classic Tops
Free People Split Back Turtleneck
$68, Now $44.90
This looks so cozy and I love that it’s edgy while being totally covered up. I would wear it with both jeans and yoga pants (win!) and layered with a simple tank like this favorite also on sale!
  Hunter Plaid Shirt
 $148 Now $99.90
I always have to have at least one quality plaid (I’m from Seattle, are you surprised?) Plus, so great for layering under vests and sweaters… But they aren’t all equal and the drape and material of this one are top notch.
Make + Model Brushed Hacci Sweatshirt
$45 $29.90
I love me a stylish sweatshirt! Because honestly, if I can wear sweats all day and still look good, I’m gonna do it! This looks extra, extra soft and would be a great staple please- especially at this amazing price.
Lush Raw Edge Side Slit Tee
$24 Now $15.90
I’ve come to despise basic straight bottom tees. Why? Because they can make any outfit look dowdy. This twist on the boring basic tee is a great way to up your style points on any outfit you put together.
  Pants
PAIGE Hoxton High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans
$189 Now $99
I’ve been looking for some darker wash jeans to wear to girls’ nights and date nights and with this discount, it’s kinda impossible to resist.
Everyone I know adores Paige jeans and I’m no exception. They are the first luxury brand jeans I started buying regularly because I know they will last and I’ll get more than my money’s worth. Plus, they make me feel great when I wear them and this high-waisted design will be especially slimming!
PAIGE Transcend Hoxton High Waist Undone Hem Skinny Jeans
$199 Now $131.90
Speaking of Paige jeans, this pair is at the absolute top of my wish list. I wear A LOT of jeans (like every day that I’m not wearing yoga pants the 9 months of the year it’s not sunny here). So when I find a pair that gives me a chance to show off a little flair without going crazy, I get excited.
The slanted hems are really cool (I like them so much better than the step hem that is popular right now) and I could see wearing these while volunteering at school as well as for date night making them super versatile.
Note: If you’re looking for a more straight-laced black jean, check out this pair of Instasculpt skinny jeans also on sale- because who doesn’t want to be instascupted?!
Zella Live In Slim Fit Leggings in Grey Graphite
$59 Now $38.90
As I said, I wear almost exclusively jeans and yoga pants in cooler weather and the only yoga pants I wear are Zella. I ALWAYS stock up during the #NSale too because of the great prices.
The thickness of these pants makes me always feel sucked in and sleek without feeling compressed if you know what I mean. I’m excited to add this grey graphite pair to the rotation.
  Zella All In Ankle Leggings
$75 Now $49.90
Although I’ve seen the high waist Zella leggings (on sale for $35) featured by a ton of fashion bloggers this year. I still prefer the mid-rise, ankle cut (the high rise just makes my hips and stomach look weird).
I like that these are a subtle upgrade of the basic black tight too.
  Sweaters
Free People Electric City Pullover Sweater
$98 Now $64.90
Maybe it’s because I’m a child of the 80s but I just can’t resist a comfy sweater to curl up in front of the fire with a good book in. This one is so pretty and doesn’t look bulky or scratchy, both of which are a total must.
Billabong Snuggle Off the Shoulder Sweater
This is probably the edgiest of my picks. I wouldn’t wear it during my normal day-to-day but I love it for fall or winter date nights. It’s just sexy enough to make it special.
Gibson Bell Sleeve Cozy Fleece Pullover
$59, Now $39.90
The bell sleeves on this top are so feminine and current, who would guess it’s made of fleece?! Did I mention how much I like to be comfortable?
Note: If you like this sleeve, definitely check out this super fun top for nights out – now 40% off!
  Layering Pieces
Caslon® Mixed Print Open Front Long Cardigan
$89, Now $49.90
I have picked up a long cardigan with a cool design at each of the last couple sales and I always get so many compliments on them. This is definitely the one for this year.
  Love Token Faux Shearling Vest
$120, Now $79.90
I’ve been eyeing faux shearling vests like this since last year’s sale but just couldn’t decide if I was edgy enough to be able to rock one. The knit back of this one makes it feel more accessible to me for some reason and it just looks so ridiculously comfy!
Vince Camuto Contrast Trim Quilted Vest
$118, Now $58.90
Is there anything better than a quilted vest on a crisp and cool fall day? They are so wonderful for staying warm (something I struggle with) and I really love the interesting contrasting colors and gold details on this one. It’s a total stand out amongst the standard quilted vest and it’s 50% off!!
  BLANKNYC Chill Pill Cardigan
$88, Now $57.90
This contrasting cardigan is another super warm item that you can wear with anything. It’s also a unique piece that not every other mommy at school pick up will be wearing. Such a good find.
  Athleisure Tops
Brunette Fries Before Guys Sweatshirt
$79, Now $51.90
I love a soft sweat shirt for cool evenings, to pair with yoga pants while on the go, or for lounging around in once I’ve changed into my PJs around 6 pm (I’m not the only one who does this am I?).
Also, if you have daughters they NEED to see you casually rocking this, like every day. Let’s make not so subliminal messaging work for us guys!
The North Face Hooded Fleece Pullover
$99, Now $69.90
If your kid has an outside sport, this is the top you must buy! Take it from this Pacific Northwesterner, cozy plush fleece is luxuriously warm – especially when layered under a coat on a cold and windy field. Treat yourself, you won’t be sorry.
  Nike Gym Zip Hoodie
$60, Now $36.98
This vintage zip hoodie is so light-weight and soft that it feels like butter. I think I wore it every day for two weeks straight when I first got it. Great for moderate weather as well as layering when it gets cooler.
  Zella Drop the Armhole Tank
$39
I have a confession to make; although I love running around in yoga pants and I think the athleisure trend was maybe one of the best things to happen to me, I still have trouble figuring out what to wear with them.
I’m a fan of the half tuck when I wear jeans so I often feel like untucked tees and tanks with my yoga pants look a little off. That’s why I included this tank from Zella even though it’s the only item in the capsule not currently on sale. The tie in the front gives this casual top just enough structure and I love the effect.
  Finishing Pieces
UGG Elvia Waterproof Tall Boot
$249.95, $164.90
These waterproof boots look like such work horses – perfect in the snow and slush but also super cute with skinny jeans or black Zellas – all while being ridiculously comfortable – what can’t they do?
Converse Jack Purcell Signature Ox Low Top
$69.95, Now $45.90
I am so smitten with the color of these iconic shoes. Not white but Platinum. They’ll give your outfit the polished look of a white shoe but be a lot easier to keep clean. Sold!
  Nike Juvenate SE Sneaker
$95, Now $70
Speaking of iconic shoes, snagging a discounted Nike in basic black, which I can wear with everything while running around all day, is kinda a must for me. The softness of this one is what sold me.
  TOMS Deia Block Heel Bootie
$97.95, Now $64.90
Last year I bought a similar pair of gray Toms boots during the sale and I could not believe how comfortable they turned out to be. Having chronic back problems means I only do heels rarely.
I bought my Toms boots with the idea of wearing them to date nights when I intended to be sitting most of the time. Much to my delight, I found they are comfortable enough to walk around in for extended periods of time- whoo hoo!
Sperry Saltwater Spray Wedge Waterproof Rain Boot
$129.95, Now $84.90
For the days when the Ugg boots are overkill, a good pair of Sperry boots are my go tos. I got mine last year during the sale and wore them almost every day during the winter. So00 cute and easy to wear, love ’em!
Halogen® Asymmetrical Zip Boiled Wool Blend Coat
$199, Now $129.90
Last but not least, the most exciting coat I’ve seen in years. Finally, something that I can wear during the day or out at night that’s more than a pea coat! I just love the cut of this coat as well as the colors it comes in – both the grey dove and the black are gorgeous.
Note: A shorter thermal jacket from the North Face like this is great for running around too. I got mine two sales ago and still wear it constantly.
So that’s it!! Whew, what a list! I hope you find something (or many somethings) to love here and that you’re able to act in time to get a great deal!
