sorry for sending this so late after the original ask, but abt the gif process explanation, yes pls!

ofcourse anon!! Ive done some before but it's been a while since I've done a full explenation sooo

KYLE PRINCEMICK'S 2023 BASIC GIFMAKING PROCESS!!

I'm going to explain it all below the tab. I wont go into graphics or colouring I'm just gonna explain how I get to a basic gif like this

and I'm going to break it up into 4 parts:

recording and import

timing

sharpening and size

export

if you follow this it will give you a basic gif to which you can add whatever you want.

I'm going to be using photoshop, OBS and video timeline for this.

1. RECORDING AND IMPORT

so, for recording I use OBS, it's an incredibly useful recording program and my favorite part is that it can record 60 fps which gives me reaally smooth gifs with a lot of frames. here are my personal obs settings.

now you can put your fps down to about 50 without a lot of quality loss if you need to.

then the import

to import to timeline you just drag your video right into photoshop. your workspace should look like this after you do.

to be able to gif you need a videotimeline obviously for that you just go

window -> timeline

when you do that this should pop up and you can just drag that to the bottom of your workspace and it will just snap right into there

2. TIMING

now for timing a lot comes down to what you personally like.

for basic ruules, 25 frames is about one second and the longer and more frames you make it, the heavier your gif will be. I personally keep my gifs to about 60 frames.

you can see how long your gif is with the little timer at the bottom (the 0:00:02:00)

I try not to make my gifs longer then 120 because then the quality will just be horrible and the gifs will be to heavy.

another important thing is how quick you want it to be. because obs records in 60 fps it records it really quick. if you dont change anything and export now this is what your gif will look like

which hey if you like that great, I dont. I like my gifs a lot slower which also makes them smoother and a lot less heavy.

you can change that by clicking on the little play bottom on your video

when you click on that you see this, the 'speed' is where you can obviously, change the sped.

I personally like my speed at 50 which makes the gif look like this instead:

when you do slow down the gif you might notice that the part you wanted to gif is gone, just drag the blue timeline out again because we slowed it down so you need to drag the whole video back out again.

now I like to make my timeline a little shorter and cut out the parts I dont need which again you can do by grabbing the sides of the timeline and move them around

now for my one gif this is what my timeline looks like !

then lasty of this part we're gonna go into

filter -> convert to smart object. now your timeline will turn purple, this is good!

3. SHARPENING AND SIZE

NOW, for sizing, tumblr has rules, the good part. photoshop has these sizes as presets, ig you go into the little sizing icon which looks like this

you have a little tab up in your work space where you have presets.

all of them can obviously be posted BUT tumblr prefers and will make the gifs look the best if you use 5:7 or 1:1

I like using 5:7, for this gif im gonna use 5:7 and add it horizontally, this is what cutting looks like and you can just click enter and it will cut

because you converted it into a smart object you can still move it around in your 5:7 border.

now, tumblr doesnt like gifs that are to big so, you can go into

image -> image size

and there you see this

tumblr prefers gifs that are 700 by 500 so you just write that make sure that little link thingy looks like this

and NOT this

because that little thing makes sure the size stays linked and then you can just change it to 700 by 500

now that your gif is the right size we're going to make it a lot better quality by sharpening you do this by going to

filter -> sharpen -> smart sharpen

everyone has their own preferences and style when it comes to sharpening but I like to use these two

now your video layer should look like this

and your gif should be all nice and crispy! like this:

4. EXPORT

and last but not least, exporting!

you export gifs by going to

file -> export -> save for web legacy

OR you can go alt + cytl + shift + s

when you do that a window pops up and its all about your own settings but these are the ones I use!

you can play around with a lot of the settings until its something you personally like. always remember to click on the little play on the bottom right to check if there are not mistakes in your movement and gif!

and then when you click on save your gif is done!!

that's my basic process from this point I go on to do everything else, I add colouring or text or a overlays, whatever I feel like but this is always the basics!

again 🩷 for rubie and 💗 for cacao (fun fact their names are based on ruby chocolate and dark chocolate because rubie is very sweet vibrant and interesting while cacao is more worried about the casual/romantic (not love, just romantic as like the ideology) aspects of life but is still very sweet and has his fields of expertise :3)

🩷 has armarouge (flare), garganacl (depos like deposits of salt!!), zoroark (miasma), skeledirge (apple fritter), vaporeon (reef), and tinkaton (lychee)

flare is MILDY haughty but generally very nice. he tries his best to help others and unlearn his bad behaviours from childhood. hes a trans guy btw!!! he also is a little bad with physical touch from new people but will show mild forms of affection so rubie feels loved.

depos is a gentle giant and very overprotective. they have a cat demeanour and love helping rubie with his homework!! he often needs a body double so depos will do research while rubie studies. very physically affectionate.

miasma is a little charismatic yet tricky bastard. he loves pulling pranks but has a hard time telling when someone genuinely doesnt like what hes doing so he tries to make sure they tell him if he does upset them. very cuddly with rubie and has a special bond with depos, often mirroring them!!!

apple fritter is a big baby /pos. shes such a cutie pie and is so nice to everyone despite her loud and rambunctious personality! she would never do anything to intentionally harm ANYONE. she will flop on rubies lap or lay down near other team members so they can lay on top of her. she has to be scrubbed often so her scales dont get crusty from her playing in mud :)

reef is extremely cunning and smart. he can come up with complex strategies to lots of problems within minutes and spends lots of time researching moves with depos. he isnt good at battle strategies but is learning !!! he likes to be the heavy damage taker, with many moves and an item healing him, to stall for rubie to figure out a plan.

lychee. oh dear god lychee. the kind of girl who will drink a monster energy, half drank, left out for hours, without a second thought. shes extremely strong, able to hold up all of her team members with ease. she loves teasing miasma and pulling tricks on him because she has very thick skin. she goes feral when someone upsets any of her team members, and specifically tries her best to be understanding with flare about his touch boundaries.

💗 dear god here we go. cacao has two teams, a travel/casual team (second team he built) and a powerful/overleveled team (first team)

first team members: squeaks (noivern), stinky (kingler, shes a girl tho so i call her queenler), jasper (cinderace), socks (boltund), expresso (thievul), and marble (espeon).

second team members: bubbles (dragonair), turaco? i believe (togekiss), kasib (scolipede), kingfisher (archeops), saffron (lilligant), and fanta (toxtricity amped form)

squeaks is shy scenemo rave kid and has a platonic crush on stinky, adores marble

stinky is big burly lady and gives big bear hugs. and is not actually stinky i just named her that cus she was a pain to catch n she beat up my team badly

expresso is kind of a wild card and pretty mysterious, but reaally loves cacao and seems to like socks

socks is literally golden retriever but gets tired out emotionally and physically easily. likes expresso

jasper is very hot cold with his personality, can be very energetic and loud one day and the next is very calm and tired. he mirrors his trainers personality which is why they get along so well!!! will give any team members cuddles if needed

marble loves any clothes that are comfy and fluffy/soft!! kneads stuff like a cat, indulges in scenemo stuff with squeaks and makes kandi bracelets w them

SECOND TEAM

fanta is a dramatic theatre kid with autistic burnout. love the college student sleepless gender, go boy give us nothing. he absolutely LOVES saffron to death

turaco is constantly worried about the fellow dumbasses (/aff) on their team and is constantly holding something healing on their person

kingfisher is super clumsy and verbally stims super frequently with cacao or turaco if cacao needs quiet no stimulation time. has a sibling like bond with turaco (hence their names both being birds, and their colors being similar! both flying types too :3) prone to echolalia

bubbles is very timid and quiet but loves cuddling with cacao and wrapping around him. bubbles tries their best to soothe cacao when hes having issues sleeping. bubbles has a sleepy mark so theyre extremely tired a lot of the time!!!!

kasib is always sticking her nose out at people and is very curious. she loves learning new things and stomps her feet (positive stim) whenever cacao infodumps to her!!! kasib is almost always watching anything interesting, but doesnt say anything so we'll never know if she ever has any thoughts behind them eyes/j

saffron is the team mom. she listens to everyones concerns and vents, sings lullabies for anyone whos having a rough bout of insomnia. she knows cacao has complicated feelings towards familial stuff, so she takes on the role of mom for him so he can feel loved. will definitely bring u your favorite food/plush/drink to calm you down

SO i mentioned glitchtrap was robbed,, Both vanny and glitchtrap had their roles stolen, and glitchtrap is my favorite fnaf character, so i have Beef

(Note: Uhh for this rant im keeping with the idea that vanny and vannessa are the same person. Also everything i say is very biased for these three. I know i wont get what i want, but i can dream..)

What i mean by that is for the entirety of help wanted and special delivery, Glitchtrap and Vanny got alll the exposition for them to be the new modern fnaf villains. After pizza sim, we can all agree Afton's physical mind and body as we knew it shouldve been destroyed. it was the mark of a new era for fnaf, and we needed new villains!! so the old William was to be replaced by a digital copy of himself, malhare

he was introduced in help wanted. and vanny was introduced in the dlc. Their roles were helped solidified in special delivery, as the emails there revealed They were behind everything going wrong with the animatronics (as well as more general info about all three of them)

then, the trailer for security breach dropped. theres afton talking, but it has to be glitchtrap, right? ( both because 1 We didnt know about burntraps existence during the time and 2 i still think its actually glitchtrap because theres No Way Peepaw burntrap is speaking that clearly.) And vanny was made out to be this big bad villain who. Actually had a major impact..

Then the game came out and threw all the good characterization (Especially for Vanessa) out the window 💥

glitchtrap is only seen in princess quest. but princess quest was already a thing in mobile help wanted, so..

vannys presence is laughable, but heres the thing about vanessa- Her lines that were cut from the game fit her Description from the AR Emails a LOT More. she was nervous, she knew what was happening. and she wanted to Help gregory. But.. you dont see that in the final version of security breach.

The only thing that does them all justice is the therapy tapes. But they deserved so much more...

And then burntrap and the blob exist. Theyre.. whatever. But i felt like they really took the spotlight off of who was Supposed to be the main villain and it makes me a bit sad . Robbed again

i Reaally hoped Ruin would give them what they deserved (even if i knew it was never going to happen), but instead of doing that or tying up loose ends (like the blob) They added more to the pile with Mxes and The mimic(?). (I KNOOW thats what fnaf does, but that doesnt mean ill stop complaining) and vanny and vanessa and malhare are nowhere to be seen

tl;dr In all, glitchtrap and vanny were set up to be the new big bads in help wanted and special delivery, But now it feels like glitchtrap was simply a one-off villain, and Vanny didn't really do.. like anything important at all

they had tons of potential taken away by burntrap, the blob, mxes, the mimic, etc 💔

ahem, so, kazuzu was trapped in his old bedroom, right? so imagine if the mirage created a young vigil!mc who comes in and keeps him company. like:

kazuha opens his eyes, blinking rapidly after a shining light had just blinded his gaze. a bit of dust brushes past his nose and he lets out a small sneeze. huh? he looks around the familiar room, confusion all over his face. where.. how am i here? kazuha walks towards the bed in the room, hand lightly grazing the mattress. when he looks up— the sword hanging on the wall as a decoration was old and worn and had the faded resemblance of cursive ink in his late mother’s handwriting. the woolen maple leaf lovingly placed on the bed. this was his bedroom.

curious, he walks towards the door to explore more and cure his suspicions on whether this was actually his home, but some sort of invisible wall stops him. he slashes his sword but not even a scratch is lain. wind from his vision push against the dood but it doesn’t even move an inch. it doesnt take a smart brain to know that he was trapped.

minutes after finding out he was trapped within the walls of his bedroom, a knock comes from his door. he doesnt even get a reply out before it’s dragged open and the face of his young, older sister pops in with a bright grin.

“hi, zu!” the girl walks in with a small jump in her step.

kazuha freezes— how-? [name] sits down on the ground in front of him, hands forward “wanna play patty cake?”

oo, also also. what if, in the second one(since his lik domain thing gets 3 stages), inatead of that lil thing, kazuha is instead trapped to watch flashback scenes of his sister. from young, 3yr old to well.. 💀

he’s back into this mirage again, but this time, his soul feels so far from his body.

the silent sound of a door sliding open catches his attention as he waits for whatever to follow. a servant or whoever else is what he expected, not.. this reaally young toddler girl who looks a lot like his sister.

kazuha watches intently as a little girl sneaks into the room he was in, cautiously looking left and right for someone before walking in. excitement beaming in her eyes. “woah..” she gapes at the crib by the wall. “hehe, hi, kazuha! im [name]!”

hey, uh, not to be sympathetic with the narrator, (even though i am, hes great) i want you to hear me out on this. dont deny it, dont yell at me, just hear me out. because even if ive only talked to narry for three-ish days, ive played the parable, and ive studied this guys character under a microscope. so trust me. and hear me out.

the narrator may say he hates you, but he doesnt. this is obvious. think about it, if you have to spend 24/7 with a guy you say you hate, its going to be so. exhausting. to hate that guy passionately through and through. so i genuinely think he appreciates you. youre kind of a stress relief, giving him a kind of opposite, laid back energy to his stiffness. you change the story! you make it go places he didnt dream of. 

if i was him, itd be nice to have a change of pace. predetermined plotpoints get boring quick. now with all that in mind, how could he not fall for you? youre a walking adventure, something new, even if he doesnt want to admit its positive. youre like... his bucket. bringing him new endings and fun, while giving him comfort and support. even if at times youre annoying to lug around. the pros outweigh the cons.

so i need you to sit down, and think about it. reaally think about it. whats your opinion on william? what does he make you feel? is it annoyance, or the comfort that theres someone there, living through this situation with you, no matter how contrasting you two might be? sorry this was long, but just... think about it? please?

Sure. I'll sit around and think about my feelings. Nothings going to come of it, I already know how I feel. I hate that guy and he hates me. I'm a perfect torture victim because I can't do anything but try and find a non scripted path to which there is none. The most I can do is cause some chaos to put the story to a hault and get a reaction from him, and god did I manage that this time. Project: Honey

so... its been about... 3 MONTHS???? i thought i was gone shorter haha... so ive been busy... despite me wanting to see her again, ARHGGH why am i being so secretive im already going against orders... So, despite me wanting to see my daughter... which KH labs is doing, i highly doubt they actually are going to just contain her again. She destroyed everything they owned, it caused a huge dent in KH labs funding since they had to move facilities, from what ive heard from Muppy its pretty bad haha. They might torture her,, or worse,,, probably worse.,, but i wont let it happen!!!!! (huh,, always wanted one of those badass manga lines,,, but it feels kinda cringy now that im saying a cool line...) ANYWAY wow did i take my pills today im getting really offtrack... oops im doing it again since i cant really look for Bee Bee myself without KH following me, ive devised a plan. i call it project honey!! im going to leave hidden stuff around in order to get people to help me look for Bee without KH knowing. kids on this box thingy call it a arg? idk what it stands for... i got the inspiration on a walk with my wife, we stopped at a nearby village (KH agent still following us), and this annoying local was talking about how their "brat" daughter ran away and left a book with gibberish in it. I looked up on the box how to decode stuff like that, and then got onto the rabbit hole of this arrg stuff. i found a small orange thing, its about 1/16th of a block, i found it awhile ago during Bees destruction, its this small orange,, thing,,, that came out of a camra? the werid things at KH labs and theres like green inside it. I call it orange-stone since it functions similarly to redstone, but way more complex. ive been spending a long time figuring it out,, its been what about,,, 2 years? since i was originally put in house arrest so ive had alot of time. i even made it to create the computor? or what the critters in here say anyway, thats how ive been postin on here! :D even if it takes a whole day to even upload these posts... and after alot of digging around on here, im gonna use disco to send a message asking people to help me find Bee. Ive noticed the orange-stone lights up and it says like,,, some weird name and then "joined the game". i swear the names are REAALLY WEIRD. like who the hell is froggie_lesbian why would u name urself that... i think they should do a comedy episode like this again! although the show barely has any lighthearted moments like it used to be so maybe it would feel more jarring but on the other hand it would probably help bring back some light heartedness and fun!

Dont mind me venting and rambling about how being here has affected my mental health:

Hours ago it was the 8th of August which would have been my dog Buddha's 14th birthday (he crossed the rainbow bridge back in 2020). I like to think I am one to hold my composure/stoic about my feelings but I still find myself bursting into tears when I think of him. 2 years of not having him in my life still hurts like hell. If I wasn't stuck here in UAE and back in Canada I would make a dog friendly cake which I would present to Nala my current dog who would appreciate a treat even though she has no concept of time and is not aware of her brother having a birthday regardless and take her to one of the nice parks in memory of my old dog. But I'm not there and my sister and I are currently feeding the 4 stray dogs that like to hang around the family home. My sister and I bought some beef liver and some mcdonalds burgers that we teared up and put on some paper plates for them to eat which they obviously happily eat. We thought they should have something "nice" instead of the usual kibble and scraps we feed them. And for us humans got some small cakes that we enjoyed.

It's a small happiness for these animals. Otherwise while I'm happy about making sure these dogs (and cats too) are fed my heart is still breaking at the idea of the fate of these strays and im very aware about UAE's stance in stray animals. I'm aware this is the life they have always known and I made the big mistake of growing attached to them (considering my sister got me involved so i can't back out of this regardless). I didn't want to be attached but considering the proximity of me seeing them everyday guess who sorta tears up whenever the strays are being affectionate towards me?

The most I feel we could do other than feed them is at least get them TNR spay/neutered so they won't multiply they are pretty well fed for strays since other than myself and my sister feeding them the locals around the neighborhood feed them to.

And I guess we want the impossible to happen as in to get them adopted/fostered back to Canada or so if not UAE (since we have reaally bad luck for a shelter to take them in since all rescues and such are full). I have actually gone to every social media I have (I'm not proud I have those but my sister thinks since I am more immersed in the internet more than her has been urging me to do it which I have and felt like I made a fool of myself but I did the best I can).

There is a 95% chance we may never find someone to take them in at all and it saddens me. It's sad because I feel these animals deserve a good life that doesn't involve surviving for food and staying away from the heat. I dont know how destroyed I'll be mentally after this cause I've gone too deep with this considering it's just my sister and I helping them and everyone family wise around us are basically making us feel we are wrong helping these dogs and cats instead of like ignoring them considering they are within proximity of the family home that we regularly interact with them so it's impossible to ignore them.

Maybe because I had the privilege of living in a western country (Canada) that probably cares more for animals than where I am right now (UAE) but but is it wrong of my sister and I to want to help them? Even if it's at least to spay/neuter them? I don't know what's going to happen to them but I sure as he'll that my sister and I are going to do the best we can that these strays are fed well as long as we are here in UAE. Regardless I probably need to get therapy after this considering not only the stress of dealing with the strays there's also stupid family drama bullshit that I contemplated why I even bothered to agree to coming here in the first place when I know I'm going to be facing heartbreak and sadness all over like slap some clown makeup on me and call me Bobo the fool....I just wish things were easier cause I can't compart my feelings and priorities in boxes out of this.

yeahh all their dances are so fun tbh! like they’re not necessarily the most skilled group in any specific area, but they’re always so fun to watch perform, and their discography (especially the past couple years) is super solid. the feels is soo fun fr. have you seen any of the videos of them performing 1, 3, 2? they’re not super high quality bc they’re from concerts, but the concept is so stunning! there’s this part where the backup dancers use lights and it’s so pretty ✨ and also it’s soo nice to see jeonyeong performing again bc she was out for a while due to injuries and illness.

ohh right? there’s just something about lc’s music that’s so pleasant. and yes! sojung is my favorite vocalist of all time. her voice is just soo good, and i love how her tone is p unique within kpop. definitely let me know your favs sometime 💗

mmm yeah, i agree. it’s like the production overwhelms the actual performance. plus a lot of the songs aren’t very singable? whether it’s bc the choreo is just too intense for them to realistically sing live or the song itself is a mostly talk singing. + it seems a lot of ggs don’t really give their artists music that suit their vocal ranges… idk it’s all very strange lol. and right. especially with how young so many of the idols in the groups are. i’ll listen to their music, but i don’t really get that into the groups, bc it just feels kinda weird if they’re like fifteen

stayc is actually one of my favorite groups! i’ve loved everything they’ve released so far, and i love how unique their voices are from each other. their concept rn is “teen fresh,” so it’ll be cool to see how they grow from that as they continue 🌟
