I'm so bad at crossposting but also because of my hand and devoting a lot of my art time to adopts, I don't have a lot of... Blog-relevant stuff to share atm???? 🙃 sorry

So instead let me show you some misc stuff I've done that is mainly relevant to silly little non-canon-to-the-blog roleplays i've been doing with friends.

Madame and Vesh are basically my current idea for Helob's parents, just smth I've been thinking on. Basically Madame is a giant spider that does her own thing and is kind of a formidable figure that has an almost cryptid-like status. Vesh just kinda follows her around cause he's weird.

Then the rest are just. Various ship babies because I have an addiction. (There's technically more than what is shown but. Listen. You don't need to see all that). Full ramble on all those guys beneath the cut.

First is some misc kitties between Star and Narinder, specifically Cat!Star. They weren't really given names or anything, and were more one-off design considerations so idk if they're ever gonna exist past this but they're neat designs.

Then there's a silly caterpillar between Butterfly!Star and Helob, named Psyche. They have a sister name Arachne who is half-lamb half-spider and she's so sweet.

Two more Narilamb babs, Ophelia and Melpomene, and this time they're between Star and a friend's version of Narinder where he was never sealed away and is still a bishop. We call him Ben :)

Fleur is between Star and a friend's lamb OC--Joan! Joan's popped up via stuff I've reblogged once or twice I think

And finally, some fellas that are from Fox!Star and a friend's version of the Fox, aka Skoll. These three are problem children.

drew a tour poster for the lovely @earlgreytea68 in honor of Swan Song officially being published as a book!!! I love the story so much and I’m so proud of them— I wish I could read it. make sure to check that out if you can!!!!!! for this I thought I should keep the original concept of my design for banter and badinage’s art, but I expanded on it— attempted to mature it, in a way. I’m not sure if that came through.

my prices now start at $150 for an illustration (10x15, 300 dpi, full color, one figure, simple background & decorative elements, +$40 for an additional figure) (more complicated commissions would begin around $200-$300)

I am thinking about doing some kind of Your Character Here type of commission, a bust portrait with design elements like one of the ancient busts, except it can be whichever character/historical figure you want, but I'm still sounding out how much interest in this kind of commission there is.

I am also open to sketch commissions (9x12 in, 300 dpi), starting at around $50, waist up + single character (+$20 for an additional figure), single block color of your choice!

In Chretien de Troyes' Perceval (The Story of the Grail), Percival had a very sheltered upbringing in the Waste Forest where (s)he was raised by his/her widowed mother.

Note: Pronouns were he/him but since this is SatBK-themed and Percival uses she/her, changed them to fit.

It was in the season when trees flower, shrubs leaf out, meadows grow green, and birds in their own tongue sing sweetly in the mornings, and everything is aflame with joy, that the daughter of the widow lady of the deep Waste Forest arose. Then effortlessly she placed the saddle upon her hunter [horse] and, taking three javelins [spears], left her mother's manor. She thought that she would go to see some harrowers* in her mother's service, who were harrowing her oats with twelve oxen and six harrows.

*Harrowers are, literally, those who 'harrow.' A harrow is this farm tool that is like a lot of spike/"teeth" on a big heavy frame used to break up and even off plowed ground. While this is a more specialized part of farm work, in this context, we can interpret harrowers to be field hands/farmers. Basically, Percival's mom hired these guys to tend to her land.

So excuse me for a moment. #I'm no stranger to recipe kits‚ ive been in thus business for a while‚ but they're kind of like fashion kits in ghr sense that I feel a #little strange making them sometimes. How can I know a recipe is good if I haven't tried it? Would my own biases regarding food get in get #in the way? Who am I to assume what a person has access to? How do I know if the person requesting doesn't have like. An allergy? What if a #recipe calls for particular kinds of equipment like a broiler or air frier? Augh! So many factors to consider! #Care kits are like this too‚ but to some extent they feel easier to work with than the two I just mentioned. #But maybe all of this concern is irrational. Maybe it's not really about a specific recipe‚ moreso the idea. The collection of future foods #a person could try and make some day‚ no matter whether they follow that exact recipe. #Oh the complexities of running a blog for the masses... #I can't say I don't like them‚ though. I really do. It's such a cute way to connect with a particular kintype.

Wasn't paying attention and my roommate threw out my seaweed snacks that I JUST BOUGHT during our pantry clean out and I hate this shit. I'm trying to only keep a couple things that I really need so I can eat in case of flare ups downstairs and I'm slowly dismembering the diy rat pantry but shit like this makes me want to return to my packrat like tendencies

ough. tbh i've been pretty lucky insofar that i haven't had a lotta issues with that... but in my experience usually if i gotta be left alone for awhile distracting myself helps a lot? like. go down a wikipedia rabbit hole, or do a puzzle, or play a game you get super invested in. just something to focus on so you don't end up in your own head kinda thing yanno??? otherwise don't feel bad to just. ask for attention? like. it's not illegal to have human desires. and as long as your fp isn't busy or something they probably don't mind talking with you a lil :3 although idk for sure i know everyone has different relationships with their fp so ^^; do not listen to me if you know it'll cause you harm/strife/etc :< also naps. bc those pass the time reaaaaal quick. its like a lifehack. feeling bad? take a nap. you'll either feel amazing after or like you got smacked in the face with a trout ! oh and also like. doing schoolwork or smth productive maybe? thats not really fun tho so dskghds maybe pick up a kinda time-consuming hobby like crochet or cross-stitch or something where you can use that to distract yourself and have something to do with your hands :3?

but if its like. ur Already Feeling Bad i recommend like. watching a movie/tv show/etc that you really like or getting a Little Treat(tm) or something :3 curl up with a cozy blanket and drink some hot cocoa or tea or something !! its not like. a sure-fire fix. but i find the combo of distraction + comfort media + Little Treat tends to make you feel at least a lil better :3 also if it gets Very Bad just like. destroy some old school work you don't need or somethin. tearing papers to shreds is sooooooo fun. make sure u don't accidentally rip up something you need though skjghds it helps to calm down a lil and then you can work on relaxing a little more !! its not like. guaranteed. but sometimes gettin some of the destructive urges out helps
