Hi, I just started watching GL, have only watched GAP. Can you recommend anything? I'd really appreciate it.
Hello! Although there are not that many right now, I will include a list of shows that have already aired that you can watch. Make sure you also see this list to keep updated on which GL will be coming out soon — because there will be a lot! 2024 is the year, trust me! The GL renaissance is upon us. But while we wait here’s some others:
Main characters/main couple:
- She Makes My Heart Flutter (2022)
I love this one. Basically all the characters are lesbians and in a friendship group. It’s so sweet and endearing and I really recommend it! Kinda short but so sweet. One of my favourites for sure <3
- She Loves To Cook and She Loves to Eat (2022)
The characters are a perfect match. This show will make your heart warm and you will say ‘Me and who’ every five seconds.
- Sleep with Me (2022)
The chemistry is so good. It feels so raw and real. Sexuality isn’t really an issue at all. I really enjoyed watching, my heart 🥹
- Out of Breath (2019)
Both painful and heartwarming, it can be relatable to viewers who have experienced break-ups and finding new love. This series is fun and I like it.
- Couple of Mirrors (2021)
Because of censorship, their relationship isn’t ~specifically stated but they are canonically together by the person who created them. I mean, they literally live together, sleep in the same bed, raise a child together etc. The vibes are gayyyy, it’s safe to say they have romantic feelings for each other. If you love action and badass women, this is for you!
- Legend of Yunze (2022)
Lovers reunite after centuries apart. It’s so beautiful and I rewatch this quite a lot.
- Girlfriend Project Day 1 (2022)
Super short, but still really cute. The characters are forced to work together and things ensue. I wish they’d make more episodes 🥹
- Show Me Love (2023)
It’s not made/edited the best but it’s still cute and easy to watch, nice elements of comedy :D

She asks him to take her away somewhere.
She doesn’t say anymore but he understands, from just the small shake of her hand that she quiets into a fist. He responds with just a nod – not any more, any less – and then he takes her to sea.
They walk along the shore in silence, the noise filled more than enough by the incoming tides. He hasn’t spoke and neither has she since they’ve set foot into the sand, and yet he notices the tremble still lingering between her every limb. For the first time, she is heartbeats, tender skin, stuttered breaths –
And so, so very human.
He wants to ask what she is running from – but does not have the courage to. He’s much more human than she is, with fear nestling into the cracks of his skin at the idea of asking death for her tirade. Too scared to ask a god for her nightmares. He doesn’t wish to know what else lies beyond the blood on her palms.
And then she stops. He finds his feet having gone three steps too far, no longer seeing hers stride along with them. He turns back, a wave tumbling in with him beneath them. And he realizes, that he is not the only one holding fear at arm’s length. He sees the terror behind her eyes, one unspeakable and unfathomable to a mortal like him.
He takes three steps back to meet her (the leap of courage); a hand reaching out to take hers. “Tell me about Sohee.” He says.
(Tell me about what it is like to have thousands of ghosts at your shoulders, with their voices always by your ear. Tell me what it’s like to be a god for only the dead, to be a god who walks holy only amongst the graves. Tell me what it’s like to sleep knowing slaughter is what awaits for you at dusk. Tell me what it’s like living as death, how it’s not really living at all.)
The shore, too, quiets down for him, to make sure she may hear him loud and clear.
“Tell me about the Sohee who died.”
It’s because he’s so very human that draws long buried feeling of endearment: with his uncanny ability to make whoever cross his path love him even in a fleeting moment in time; with a second glance, a person’s heart is so easily sold to boy whose smile promises nothing and everything.
A quality that it’s weird to reflect on it now since over time she stop loathing his kind and tender heart, never understanding how it managed to thrive given the circumstances in which he was raised. A quality that apparently, though she tried to resist, grew to adore (of course she would never tell him that.) and wants to protect (though, it’s a little to late...)
And still. He knows her too well. The oceans waves do sooth calm her fears by drowning out their voices.
His question is like a series of paradoxes — unusual, and out of place Sohee files it among the many things that Juwon has asked of her that a regular person would never be obligated to understand the significance that weighs in his curiosity because no one thinks to ask death of their past.
(and why should they? why should they care?)
“Juwon...” Sohee studies the make of his hands as they hold hers, doing her best to ignore the life lines; all the stories that transpire from the veins and looks at them with from the perspective of untrained eyes of her mortal side. It’s easy to see how they’re not so different from one another at all when both of them are made of flesh, blood, and bones. In this aspect her hands are small compared to his sturdy ones... the only ones in which her hands feel safe, regardless of the vulnerability she must be showing. “In your past life you were Pandora, weren’t you?”
And as desperate as she is to keep the box shut it’s already too late. Memories of her past come in just like the tide, ebbing and flowing and she opens her mind to Juwon for the first time.
A child appears on the beach. Small, shy in nature, and keeps tripping and falling in the uneven sand of the beach as the wind catches her hair. However, determination is set in her face as she keeps standing up doing her best to keep up with her older sister who teases her for being too slow.
Eventually, the wind is too much and she looses sight of whats in front of her.
When the wind clears her sister is gone. The only person left on the beach is her grandfather who is dressed in black holding a scythe in his left hand as he stands over the pale blue white soul of a person that died at sea: Sohee’s watches in wonder as the soul stands, bowing it’s head politely. With the touch of her grandfather's fingers the soul dissolves with the wind.
The piercing look of his sorrow when he finally looks at her cuts her still.
“I’ve had my powers ever since I was a child. I could see souls, interact with them... play with them.” The young her fades away but the grim isn’t so easily faded away. She doesn’t look up from the map of lines within Juwon’s open palms, drawing comfort from the warmth of them within hers as her mind closes, she takes small breathes, already knowing she’s broken another rule somewhere.
“The Sohee that died, ironically was... is so different from the spoiled, selfish, half-dead uncouth thing that stands with you now.” she laughs, soft and oddly out of place in the midst of the sound of water breaking the shore, and the wind blowing in her hair.
“She was lovely.”
