This is out of the blue but I want to share and ramble with you all about my half-orc tav... my beloved oc and first tav that I completed the game with.
Tumblr media
I didn't know how to do the F10 hide ui thing during this time but...
Here's my man Khugrahk! Half-Orc soldier who started as an Oath of Vengeance Paladin!
(see more of him below - strong spoilers ahead for the whole game!)
I'm an orc lover, through any media... and the Forgotten Realms and D&D ain't an exception to it. So with Baldur's Gate 3 I was like, "I have to make a half-orc."
And he's my first true OC! (two others have been made before but I scrapped them)
Tumblr media
Playing the magic flute to bring back his companion and eventually... partner.
Tumblr media
Beefy? Yes. It's needed. I like it a lot.
Tumblr media
Scratch gets some good scratching and petting, because it's only right.
He's no longer pledged to his Oath as he broke it and became an Oathbreaker. But instead of using the powers that being an Oathbreaker provides to be a baddie, he just does good (or mostly good at least.)
Tumblr media
The knight comes knocking on the breaker.
This man is serious to his mission of getting rid of the tadpole, but circumstances changed when he decided to repurpose the tadpole for better uses. So, he just does what he can with the tadpole to defeat enemies and help his allies. But he is still intent on removing it... even if his adventure with his party is making it feel impossible to do that.
All in all, my man's a do-gooder and likes being good even through unconventional means (aka raising the undead and summoning them).
He's fought through the problems of the Grove, the Underdark and with it the Grymforge. He's solved the shadow curse and helped bring back life and light to the lands. He's just rolling on and on with being good (not to say he's that pure... man will murder if he gets annoyed by someone).
Tumblr media
Facing that damn construct at the forge.
He has helped his companions too! Loves them bountifully as well. Khugrahk loves talking to each one of them and always takes their discussions well whenever he can get it.
And regarding pivotal moments of his companions.... he has:
Helped Shadowheart with her crisis of faith and turning away from Shar and saving her parents.
Helped Karlach with her infernal engine (to the best of his abilities) and got revenge on Gortash.
Helped Wyll secure his freedom while still managing to save his father from that underwater prison.
Helped Lae'zel free Orpheus and start an uprising against Vlaakith.
Helped Astarion get his vengeance against Cazador while staying true to his self.
Helped Halsin in dealing with the shadow curse.
Helped Jaheira find her old friend and companion Minsc.
Helped Minsc be free from the tadpole with the reluctant help of the Emperor and get Boo!
And he has definitely helped Gale in... staying true to himself and not approaching ambitious goals of godhood and might by giving the crown to Mystra.
Might I say though that this man loves Gale to bits? Ever since he saved Gale from that portal, and as he fell to the ground pulling him out of it, Khugrahk looked at Gale in lovestruck eyes. He thought Mr. Sophisticated (that's what I typically call Gale, affectionately of course!) was handsome and so fascinating that he practically latched on with Gale!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Start of the romance...
I myself love Gale a lot, and through Khugrahk I showed that love. Just spent so much time with Gale that he became essential to my party, always accompanying Gale as my cleric (Yeah, he's a knowledge cleric and I had made some changes with some of the other companions to have other classes).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Enjoying one each other's presence.
I consider Khugrahk to be quite the hopeless romantic, and has loved to have a love of his life, and he found that in Gale. There was just something about this man of ambition that makes him drop to his knees and plea to what gods he may or may not believe in of how he found a beautiful and smart and funny and articulated man to be in love with.
He's not delusional to not know about Gale's godly ambitions however. And he has always preferred Gale as he is, not the Gale that seeks power or godhood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He won't let his man get over himself, he won't let his man dream of godhood just to spite her. He wants him for him, not him as something beyond him.
In the end, he has swayed Gale away from becoming a god. He got Gale to give Mystra the Crown in exchange of the orb within him and now the two are married! (Of course after the whole fiasco with the Netherbrain and the Netherstones).
Tumblr media
A knowing smile, just after they defeated that big brain in the sky and having cured himself and his companions from the tadpole.
Tumblr media
Gale proposes to you, what do you do? Marry him of course.
Six months later, Khugrahk married Gale and moved in to Waterdeep and became a Dekarios! They visited their friends once more when Withers sent out the invites and everyone just had great fun talking to one another and catching up.
And... that's my tav people! Hope you enjoy me rambling this shit because I love my half-orc and his spouse!

So, finally got myself to download epilogue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was an enjoyable experience for what it is. I will discard that it is not what I wanted. I had enough time to accept that Larian cannot stick the landing to save their life, and BG3 was not an exception, no matter how much I wanted it to be.
More details, spoilers, opinions, speculations etc under the cut.
For me it was solid 8/10 experience.
I dropped 1 point because they took away our inventory and did not put a single potion of animal speak in the camp. So I could not talk to Scratch and Owly! What travesty is that?!!!
I was considering going back to before the point of no return to add the spell, but decided it will take too long, and this was my first run anyways, so I missed some things or got suboptimal quest outcomes because it was a blind run.
And another half point off is for assuming Tav would leave Scratch and Owly behind. Wysteria WOULD NEVER abandon her furbabies!
And to get all the grumpynes out of the way - and put them in the last half-point I took off my score, here it is.
I do not get why epilogue removed scene of Wyll and Karlach in Hell. It was such a cool scene, and it would tie-in nicely with epilogue. Why? Put it back!
Also, why I was not allowed to talk more to Astarion? I get that in game he and Tav were together all this time. But me as a player was not there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The least they could do is give us unlimited hugs and kisses, like with Halsin. And if there narratively no news between Tav and Astarion, we could have talked about Sebastian's letter and Gur's letter. And discussing moving in with Halsin or Gale. Both have invited us, after all. That would have been perfect. But unlimited hugs and kisses should have been a bare minimum!
Tumblr media
And I hate Wither's 'this is the end... for now. You might be needed later'. Do not fucking tease new content if you have no plans to do it. Just stop. Give us definitive ending, or announce you plan to add dlc or a sequel at the same time as the tease. Especially if it is for a new game that won't be out for many years and not a dlc.
(And yeah, I read all the hints he has in his room. Dark Sun letter combined with Milil... My guess is that Cyric is the next Big Bad. I get excited by such things, and I do not want to get excited this early. Either announce the thing or do not tease 😤).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Companions do not interact with each other💔
And just some puzzling things.
Why not all companions get unlimited hugs? I love Shadowheart, yes! But I also love Karlach and Wyll! They need unlimited hugs too!
I wonder how Tav knew about 9 wagons of kids with Halsin if it was only mentioned in deleted datamined epilogue slides and was not a player's knowledge in the game itself?
Gale says he gave crown to Mystra. But we left it to rot in the river! Did he go back and went diving anyways?
Now onto good things!
So, Milil cameo is 10/10, Wysteria nearly peed her pants with excitement! He better be romanceable in the next game.
Tumblr media
Loved seeing Boo riding on Minsc's shoulder. And hearing Minsc's descriptions of all the companions. Heartwarming! Though Boo is a tease with all the arcane remedies for vampiric condition that he will not say, because love is the strongest!🙃
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guess we'll go to Gale's magic students and quiz them on the topic then😄
Loved newspapers and letters. It was especially sweet of Haarlep to write💖 Please write more and come to visit too😏 My favourite Incubus indeed!
Also, lol @ so many ppl wanting to fuck Raphael now that he is dead🤣
Shadowheart having a million and a half of animals is very sweet! Especially wolf cub! 💖
Tumblr media
Karlach and Wyll are officially a couple now? Yes please😍
Tumblr media
The egg hatched! Hello gith baby boy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Lae actually saying she missed Wysteria? 💖💖💖
I am happy Halsin has finally settled down. I think Wysteria and Astarion will settle down with him when they find the cure. And at least Astarion will have a good home when Wysteria dies of old age. I mean, even if cured, Astarion is still an elf with hundreds of years left to live. And tieflings have human lifespan. So Wysteria will die much earlier that both Halsin and Astarion. Unless Withers does smth about it.
Did Arabella become Elminster's apprentice? Or there's some other 'beard man' she's talking about?🤔
Happy for Alfira and Lakrissa getting a house and a music school💖
Nice tease about Karlach and Wyll finding a hellforge map! I'd love it to be a dlc, but I will take offscreen cure too.
Wyll becoming a ranger now that he's not a Warlock is very cool. I wish we could meet his animal companions
Tumblr media
Tara is a treasure💖
I am very glad the game recognized I did not kill Nocturne and just knocked her out😊
Overall it was a very nice small free thing. I'd prefer payed large one where we visit everyone and actually SEE the changes. Oh well. It was good for what it is.

Feed my BG3 hunger.
I wanna know for those playing with CustomTavs that will romance someone in the game, who are they wooing? And why? How do you imagine their dynamic? In tags or reblogs are fine! I'll start;
Delight- Warlock, Tiefling, Criminal
I literally cannot unsee her romancing Astarion.
Their pasts just line up and mirror so well, as do their current situations, and while she's not outright cruel she's definitely not a Good Guy. She finds him funny and over the top, and is entertained by his poor lying but drawn in by his vulnerability. He finds her contradictory but also funny (laughing together about the walking undead husband was a sweet moment between them lmao) and is starting to find her smartass comments and teasing endearing. They don't just become good lovers, they become good friends, and they will be wonderfully morally grey and chaotic together.
Briallen- Half-Orc, Sorceror, Folk Hero
This bitch can fit so much Survivor's Guilt inside her!! I think she will really fit well with Halsin all things considered. She is, down to her core, a genuinely good person who wants to protect and help, even if she sees her heroism as a selfish act to punish herself. I can see her being drawn to Halsin's strength, confidence and wisdom and I can see him drawn to her bravery, selflessness and serenity. But hopefully he will be able to curb her extremely low sense of self-preservation and she will show him that she will accept him in his entirety with no strings. Two folks who really admire each other slowly falling head over heels for each other!
Iker- Human, Ranger, Soldier
Gale. Not just because he's a magebreaker and I love the whole enemies/rivals to lovers, but because Gale is a wonderfully complicated person and turns out Iker finds complicated hot. I can see Gale intially finding his standoffish and straight up cunty behaviour annoying/vaguely amusing at first, but become increasingly curious about the person he used to be before everything. Iker looks at Gale and they think "Fuck. He's hot. Damn mage." and becomes fascinated with the fractured man beneath the perfect veneer. Idk about Gale, but Iker is actually the devoted type and in the future won't care what he does as long as he lets them stay by his side. Unhealthy obsessions all round let's get on it cunts.
Rowan- Half-Elf, Wizard, Scholar/Sage
I am truly a bit stumped with them BUT I can see them making poor decisions and falling for Wyll. He's got secrets and they're a curious sort who naturally wants to uncover them, for good or ill. They trigger Wyll's protective instinct, as they are particularly a bit naive about the wider world beyond their studies and dig sites and he's as soon to find them crouching down in the middle of a battle protecting a suspected artifact as he is to find them completely closed off to the world with her nose in a tome. He would find their completely objective opinion about his situation surprisingly refreshing and they want to study him under a microscope (oh and he has a very nice smile they can't seem to say no to). They'll make him better, he'll make them worse lol.
Zlatan- Githyanki, Cleric, Outlander
Oh Shadowheart for sure. Not only does he find her beautiful, he's intrigued with the fact that such a kind person (objectively) worships such an evil goddess. He's always been fascinated with outlier cultures and beliefs, like the drow. She would obviously be wary of him at first, but will be pleasantly surprised by his easygoing and cheerful nature yet shocked by his daredevilry and adventurousness. When she finally lets down her guard and they get closer, I can see them having actually quite a romantic dynamic between them.
Delshad [Name WIP]- Dragonborn, Fighter, Noble
I'll be honest, I was inspired by the Panel to make a hot af dragonborn to sweep Karlach off her feet. I'm weak. He is literally Just Some Guy. He's polite, he's softspoken, he likes embroidery and he will Fuck You Up when pressed. He would find Karlach very, very cute once she trusts him with her more romantic side and he can withstand her sparky tendencies with all his scales. She would appreciate the fact that he's pretty non-conforming in terms of his status and his gender stereotype and that he's only a gentleman with her FOR her. Very sweet, very soft relationship ahoy!!
Tav [Name Undecided]- Gnome/Deep Gnome, Rogue, Urchin or Charlatan?
Now this Tav is very much a recent and underdeveloped idea, because I saw The Prettiest gnome Tav the other day and I had this image of a cute gnome lady Absolutely Down Bad for Lae'zel because she loves big strong hot mean women. I imagine a very messy, horny dynamic since this Tav despises any authority on principle and Lae'zel comes from a society very much built upon obeying authority, but I can see Lae'zel finding Tav's dedication to chaos and getting things done her way or no way quite attractive.

Sometimes I really want to read a short summary of what to expect from a game with a very particular description that CATER to my OWN SPECIFIC interests, so here we go.
what to expect from BALDUR'S GATE 3
This game is so famous it probably needs little introduction so I will give you the facts. Just know I played about 500 hours and I speak from a place of love.
rpg, turn based combat, a lot of specialization in character creation and for companions too (just class for them)
you can play as one of your companions as protagonist but that ends up erasing their whole personality (and given the player is not voiced they won't be voiced either if you start the game playing as one of them)
you can play as female, male, nonbinary
story is divided in three acts
gameplay is combat, exploration, dialogue, checks, with the use of dice rolls
lore is DnD / with characters from the previous Baldur's Gate games, but no knowledge of them is required
most quests have multiple ways to be solved, some peaceful and some via combat
dialogues are branched but often there is little consequences
the game is, at the end, pretty linear as the ending is only two or three options with small variations on them
there is plenty of romance option, the main ones being (in order of amount of content, from what I know): Shadowheart, Astarion, Lae'zel, Karlach, Gale, Wyll, Halsin, Minthara.
there are also a few flings that do not end up in romances
no romance is gender-locked
act 3 is mainly combat based
as said, the game is relatively linear, as in the ways to get to point B might vary but you will get to point B. Still, you can skip most of the plot in creative ways
companions reactivity to player choices is higher in act 1, but almost absent in act 3
the companions are probably the most developed part of the game, with rich backstories that you can unravel through the game
the new epilogue now offers some consequences regarding non-companions quests, but in general (as said) there is little variation
each companion has at least one quest, but not all of them influence the companion epilogue as in some case you might skip the quest altogether and get the same epilogue
combat is creative = environmental-oriented so you can use objects, place characters in advantageous points etc.
not all failed dice rolls end up in complete failure or combat
the game has no pause option (you will have to enter turn based combat to pause, but you won't be able to pause during cutscenes) , but you can save at any time even during dialogue choices and combat
plot? You play as character who has been kidnapped by mindflayers and infected by one of their parasites. Instead of transforming into a mindflayer yourself, you find that your parasite is on hold and you will need to investigate why and find a cure to it, unraveling a whole cultist plot. gameplay? isometric turn based fight, rpg with dialogue choices and dice rolls characters? The characters are definitely the best part of the game, all voiced (but the protagonist) and acted so realistically it is really remarkable. Secondary characters also all have names, voice and personalities. sadness level? low or medium depending on your choices

Disclaimer i haven’t really seen much/barely any of the other romances but, have some thoughts on if Calem romanced ither people besides Astarion/if he’d be willing to romance. Some of this based not on their romance routes, but just how i see them interacting.
Lae’zel: completely casual, a very “blood got pumping while fighting” situation, injuries happen and it’s a bit like fighting zenos but healthier and with sex.
Karlach: they think about it, there is some physical attraction, but ultimately just friends.
Shadowheart: never even considered it, laughed about the poison flower joke and told her about the pagan cabbages in ishgard in return.
Halsin: chasing each other before hand. Halsin having to catching Calem while he laughs and runs off, indulging in miqo’te’s catlike tendencies because Halsin gets being a bit wild.
Wyll: of course he finds the man attractive! But he has too much baggage over Haurcefant and generally thinks Wyll as being too good and moral for him. Thinks he’d ruin the blade and instead tries to push him toward Karlach or someone that would be a decent match for the guy.
Gale: he has chronic pain that means sex is usually painful, though if he’s mindful about it he can enjoy it. But Gale’s magic love scene means it’s the first time in his life that he’s had consensual sex without pain being a part of it. It definitely messes with him and if he doesn’t trust Gale enough to tell him anything he breaks the relationship off. If he does trust Gale, there are some long and serious discussions before they try sex again.
And extra bonus: astarion’s suggestion that sex be off the table for a while is good for both of them ultimately, cause it forces Calem to think about things too. Kind if realizing he bounced between self harm and manipulation and never really addressed the problems he escaped when he was 26. (Barring an almost with Haurcefant.) Likely won’t mention it until at least after cazador is dealt with, doesn’t want to burden Astarion or make things about himself. His problems are in the past after all.

I decided to do this for Lamia from @weregoingtokillthequeen!
She's actually a changeling in her original story, but I'll probably have to make her a drow as a Tav.
I still have to wait until I can get my own copy of the game to actually create her and get screenshots.
Baldur's Gate 3 Companion!Tav Ask List
What if your Tav was a recruitable companion, instead of the main character?  (contains major spoilers for the game, and for some dark urge runs as well)
General
Where can your Tav be recruited?  Are they first encountered on the Nautiloid, or in the Nautiloid crash region?  Or are they not recruitable until a later act? She'd be at the Emerald Grove and she'd be disguised as a wood elf. There's a personal reason she often chooses to disguise herself as a wood elf. She would have also read the room and realized a wood elf would be the best fit for the space.
Do the other companions have special comments or reactions upon recruiting your Tav? At first, they would be fine with her presence. She's just some wood elf, right? When/if they discover she's a changeling, there'd be differing opinions on if she should stay. Hesitant but lets her stay: Karlach, Wyll, Astarion (he's curious where this goes), Gale (kinda wants to study her because hanging out with a changeling is rare), and Halsin Wants her gone: Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Jaheira, and Minthara
Does your Tav have any comments or advice when you recruit other companions? Astarion: "Careful with this one. He's got moxie, but that might also mean he'll kill you in your sleep." Gale: "He's got the air of a former gifted kid about him. He'll be desperate for approval. We can use that." Karlach: "She's a like a golden retriever. I already love her." Lae'zel: "A little standoffish and she could snap my neck in an instant. I don't see any reason not to want her around." Shadowheart: "She's definitely hiding something, but aren't we all? As long as her secrets don't get us killed, she can keep them." Wyll: "The Blade of Frontiers, huh? I figured he'd be taller. If you want him to come along, I won't complain. He seems like a good egg." Minthara: "You might want to really think this over. Unless you want to constantly test your food for poison." Halsin: "I have heard nothing but good things about him. We'd be stupid to leave him behind." Minsc: "He's not the sharpest, but he's useful. We could probably talk him into anything, too...." Jaheira: "I'm afraid I've never heard of her before, but if Karlach is sold on her, so am I."
What sort of general actions raise or lower their approval? She likes it when the PC takes charge and is more forceful. She enjoys doing things because it'll be funny or entertaining. She always wants a reward for doing a good deed. She also likes it if the PC lets her steal or gives her gifts. She just doesn't like it when the PC hurts children or is mean to them, especially orphans.
Are there any instances where your Tav can permanently leave the party, depending on player character actions? She'll stick around for most things. You have to really target her to get her to leave, like constantly undermining her or insulting her. She's pretty sensitive to insults. You can kick her out when you find out her secret.
Do they have any secrets that can be revealed?  What are the prerequisites for this secret coming to light? She's a changeling. When she first appears, she's pretending to be a wood elf. When you find out, it can go badly. You can see through her if the PC has True Sight or Volo’s Ersatz Eye. Even if she's in disguise, if the PC has Volo's eye, they will always see her as she really is. If the PC's relationship is high enough, she'll eventually come clean, especially if the PC romances her. The PC can talk her into telling everyone the truth. If she's knocked unconscious or killed, she will lose her disguise. If brought back from the dead, the jig will be up.
Do they have their own personal quest that spans the course of the game?  Can it take different branching paths depending on the choices the Player Character makes? She recently escaped from prison before being taken aboard the Nautiloid. She's still a fugitive. If her disguise falters for any reason at Baldur's Gate, she's at risk of being arrested. If the PC wants to, they can turn her in and have her arrested. This will turn her from ally to enemy. The rest of the party might judge you, too.
What do they say when the Player Character asks them to stay in camp?  How about when the Player Character asks them to come adventuring again? Stay in camp: You really wanna go out there without me? I'm just saying, you're safer with me watching your back. And if you have Scratch or owlbear, she'll add: At least I have the dog/owlbear here to entertain me while I wait. Adventuring Again: Yes! I was about to go crazy from the boredom.
Does your Tav have any escalating conflicts with one of the other companions, like Lae’zel and Shadowheart’s knife-fight? Her status as a changeling ruffles feathers. Depending on how things play out, tensions can get worse.
Are there any unique NPCs associated with your Tav that can show up during the course of the game? Allie the Dragonborn who is also in @weregoingtokillthequeen! Allie escaped prison with her. Paloma Blancheflower, her childhood friend and an actual wood elf. They grew up together. She can reveal more about Lamia's past, including why she often picks a wood elf form so often. Gwenna (half-giant/half-fairy) and Shirley (half-orc) are two guards from the prison who are hunting her down. The PC can run into them at Baldur's Gate and they'll tell them that they're looking for an escaped changeling. The PC can turn her in to them if they know Lamia's a changeling. The PC can also help hide Lamia from them.
Are there any moments in the game that trigger unique dialogue for your character? (Like Gale’s anecdote about the barfight after you save the goblin prisoner)  There would be a few unique stories the PC can get out of her. It'd be throughout the game where things can remind her of something from her past, especially since she knows so many weirdos. She's lived a colorful life.
Story Specific
How does your Tav advise the player character when it comes to the Dream Visitor? "They seem to be the only one who knows what's going on. It doesn't hurt to listen to what they have to say."
How do they advise the player character on Raphael? "It's tempting, but be on your guard. You always have to keep an eye out for the fine print with devils."
How do they react to Astarion biting the Player Character? "So, is his bite actually worse than his bark? What? I'm just asking. He always did seem like the kind of guy who likes to sink his teeth into a full bodied drink." And when the PC doesn't laugh. "...Nothing? Really? Hm." She would then go on to ruin Astarion's life with vampire puns and jokes.
How do they react to the Player Character letting Abdirak whip them? "I didn't know you were into that sort of thing. Duly noted." Devnote: She's into it.
How do they react to the Player Character taking their first tadpole power? "So... how does it feel? Painful? Powerful? You know, if you ever have any extra, you could toss them my way."
Will they stay with the Player Character regardless of siding with the goblins or the tieflings, or is it possible for them to leave the party permanently? She'll stay despite what you pick. She won't be excited about the goblins, but it won't chase her off.
What can they be found doing at the tiefling/goblin party? She'll be at her tent with a drink in hand, looking for someone to chat up.
Do they have comments on who the Player Character chooses to spend the night with?  Any comment she'd make is telling the PC she approves. All of their companions are hotties, she gets it.
Do they have unique dialogue if the Player Character lets them die when they steal the Blood of Lathander? "You're lucky I don't kill you where you stand. Why would you do that?! Gods! My feelings are a little hurt right now. You absolute jerk."
How do they react if the PC licks the dead spider in the Gauntlet of Shar? "Huh. You know, I used to know a guy who was also into licking spiders. Never thought I'd meet another person whose into it. ...Want me to hook you guys up?" If you do it a second time: "Is this a thing I just don't get? Like some kind of psychedelic?"
What do they say if the PC tries to force them to go up on stage with Dribbles the Clown? When she first sees him: "I can't hate him when I see how much misery he brings to so many. It's a little endearing." Suggest she volunteer: "Wait, you want me to go up there? Oh, no, I'm here to watch someone else have a bad time." When you send her up: "You best sleep with one eye open from now on."
Is it possible for your Tav to be kidnapped and replaced by Orin?  How is Orin's deception revealed?  How do they react to the PC rescuing them in the Temple of Bhaal? Orin actually leaves her alone since she's a fellow changeling. It's too much of a mindfuck.
How do they react to the PC either allowing Astarion to ascend or convincing him to spare the 7000 spawn? She understands a desire for power. Power = protection. But she'd miss old Astarion. She'd much prefer that he remains Spawn Astarion. She'd be hesitant to let the 7000 spawn go. If the PC talks to her, they could persuade her that it'll be okay.
How does Tav react to the PC becoming a mind flayer?  Can they offer to become one themselves?  Does their reaction change if they’re romanced?  It'd depend on the play through. You can teach her to be more selfless and, in that case, she would offer to do it. If you don't encourage her to be more empathetic, she'd be far too selfish to sacrifice herself. She'd do everything to talk the PC out of it though. There has to be "a better way." However, if they go through with it, she won't abandoned them: "We made it this far under weirder circumstances. I'll get use to... whatever this is."
How do they react when the Dark Urge first reveals their amnesia and murderous thoughts to them? She'd try to help. "Who hasn't had a murderous thought or two, huh? Look, I don't know what's going on with you, but we'll figure this out. Unless you murder me before we do, of course."
How do they react to the Dark Urge killing Alfira? "I didn't realize you hated bards so much. You could have just told her to leave, y'know?" When she finally gets serious: "You must be scared. I would be, at least. If it helps, I'll try to keep a closer eye on you, keep you from murdering again."
If romanced, how do they react to the Dark Urge trying to kill them in Act 2? "Well, this isn't the first time someone I've dated tried to kill me." Once she's taking it seriously: "I don't know what any of this is, but I'm going to help you. I'm not that easy to kill so you're not gonna scare me off. We're going to get through this."
Romance
Is your Tav a romanceable character?  Are there any specific requirements to romancing them? Indeed, she is.
Does your Tav need to be flirted with to start the romance, or will they approach the PC themselves if approval is high enough? If approval is high enough, she'd approach the PC. The PC could also higher the approval rating through flirting.
Are they a polyamorous or a monogamous option? Polyamorous.
Do they have a special romance scene at the tiefling/goblin party? She definitely would. The PC can choose to sleep with her or enjoy cuddling under the stars. If approval is high enough, she'd confess that she's a changeling at the party. If the PC knows she's a changeling, they can decide to have her in her real changeling form when they're together. The PC could also ask her to keep her wood elf form. It kind of hurts her feelings though. (She'll get over it.)
Does the romance have different branching paths, or just one route to take? The PC can get her to start going down a more righteous path, moving away from her criminal behavior. They can also leave room for some criminal shenanigans, but teach her to be a better person overall. Or they can encourage her to go full criminal queen-pin and commit even darker deeds. The PC/Lamia end game can be Lamia rebuilding a life in Baldur's Gate as an upstanding citizen or as a petty criminal, or you can run a criminal empire together.
How do they react to the player character breaking up with them, or choosing another character over them? She would be petty as hell. She's very sensitive and she'd probably hate whoever the PC chose. She'd insult them and try to do the "Fine, you can just be jealous of me living my best life without you" to the PC. But she would not be living her best life. She'd be hiding the fact she wants to go cry and eat a bunch of comfort food. If the PC doesn't leave her for Gale: Gale will talk about having made her some kind of cake or apple-based sweet because she "seemed depressed." If the PC asks her about it, she'll pretend everything is fine.
What questions can Zethino ask the PC about Tav in the Love Test?  "The heart is fraught, so let us begin with the joyous. When is Lamia happiest?" 1. While swimming in the ocean. 2. When she has a lot of money. ★ 3. Camping in nature. 4. When she's with loved ones. ★ "Many things delight the heart, but only one makes it sing. Tell me, what does she desire more than anything?" 1. Wealth. ★ 2. A harem. 3. Love. ★ "Life is a difficult and tumultuous thing. with every smile, a tear often follows. What is Lamia's greatest regret?" 1. Getting caught and thrown in jail. ★ 2. Becoming a criminal. 3. Letting Paloma down. ★ (Only appears if you've met Paloma.) 4. Stealing from a wealthy Baldurian couple.
If they’re poly, do they have a reaction to the PC engaging in a relationship with Halsin? She's all for it. She'd be down to get with him, too. But she'd give the PC space to explore their relationship with Halsin without her.
How do they react if the PC has sex with Mizora? The Emperor?  Haarlep? She wouldn't be angry, just a little disappointed. Because, really? REALLY?
Will they join in with the PC and the Drow Twins, or no? Yes, she would. She'd also be down for Halsin to join.
What are Tav’s plans for the future?  Do they propose to the PC, or is marriage not something they’re interested in? She's happy to go where the PC goes. If they want marriage, she's in. If they don't, she's happy as long as they're together. As for what they do, it'll depend on the path the PC chooses for them.
Free space! Share anything from your companion!Tav au! I first created her for my very first DnD game I was in. Nobody ever figured out she was a changeling to the point where I just had her drop her disguise. I wanted to see what would happen. Absolutely no one took notice or said anything about it, including the DM.

I finally finished Baldur's Gate 3. The ride itself was absolutely fantastic. I love (almost) all the companions, and the story is well done.
It just (imo) falls flat at the end - spoilers beneath the cut
Maybe it's because I'm so used to Bioware games, but the end of this game felt really lackluster.
I was disappointed by the lack of a romance cutscene before the final assault (once again, this is probably an issue because you always get one in Bioware games) or any sort of companion thing before the final assault. Would have been nice to talk to your companions properly.
And then the actual ending was just a couple of cutscenes with some (not all) your companions.
I didn't get to talk to Wyll, except for agreeing that he and Karlach should go to Avernus together, I didn't get to talk to Jaheira, Halsin, Minsc, Shadowheart. The final cutscene with Astarion (non-ascended & romanced) was fine - I wanted him and (my drow bard) Tav to go back to the Underdark together and I got the option to do that. But there was no hugging or kissing or really romantic overtures.
There was no update on how the Harpers, or the Guild, or any of the allies I'd made along the way fared after the end of the game, nothing about the rebuilding of Baldur's Gate. It just kind of ended. And considering I didn't really use many of the allies in the final battles, having made them my allies seemed kind of pointless in the end since I didn't get to see any resolution for them.
I want to know what the characters are going to do now, and with the exception of Wyll & Karlach (fighting together in Avernus), Gale (reforging the crown and giving it to Mystra and being her chosen again), Lae'zel (off to save her people), and Astarion (looking after the vampire spawn in the underdark with Tav) I have no idea what's going to happen to the other companions. Especially Shadowheart (now a Selune cleric) - what's her plan now, her entire life is upended. Do I only get to know if I romanced her?
I know Larian have said they didn't want to give everyone hours of cutscenes, but like...I want that. These are my friends and family that I've made along the way in 150 hours of gameplay.
Hopefully there will be a definitive edition or patch updates or something to add epilogue slides or something (I'm not trying to compare to Bioware, because god knows this game is amazing - the ending just felt so lackluster - and even with the shite of the original ME3 ending, I still felt *something*. But I don't feel that empty feeling of 'omg it's over? what now?' like I do with most other rpgs)
