So I had a really weird, random transformers concept idea pop up

So I had this idea that i just got yesterday and kept thinking about. similar to RID2015's motif of all the decepticons being animal themed, this series would have the theme of the Decepticons be based off the universal classic monsters. literally this whole idea came from a pic where someone showed that wfc megatrons arm could be swapped with primes because of the weapon gimmick. and i was like, oh megatron with a different arm is cool, what if he had many salvaged parts, like frankenstein. so yeah i just rolled with and kept developing that concept, fell down the rabbit hole a bit and so here's what i have so far.

the plot is that at the height of the war, shockwave tricks megatron into leading a crew of cons mostly loyal to him on a fools errand looking for an energy source, so he can gain command of the deceptions. ending up marooned on earth in the scheme, they spend years there, attempting to first conquer humanity, then hide from them after being repeatedly overwhelmed and many killed, and finally to simply survive. badly damaged and no longer caring for their goals, infighting finally causes them to all go rogue to survive in their own ways. after the end of the war, optimus leads a crew of autobots to investigate and possibly capture megatron after learning of his fate when shockwave was defeated. the autobots role then would basically be monster hunters, attempting to remain in hiding on earth, with the help of Mikaela Banes, to hunt down the now monstrous decepticons

megatron-primarily based on the Frankenstein monster, he'd be surviving now as a grotesque patchwork of parts from his fallen warriors to stay alive(also partially based on DOTM design). he still maintains his drive to dominate and cunning and continues to manipulate events from the shadows, also sorta making him a bit of dr frankenstein as well. bots he'd def have parts incorporated from would include thundercracker, blackout, demolishor, flamewar.

nightbird would be based on the bride of frankestein, owing to her original origin, she will have been made by megatron from parts scavenged from shadow striker, slipstream and flamewar.

barricade would be based on igor, having been badly crippled and still faithfully aiding megatron as his crony. he secretly has the statsis locked bodies of rumble and frenzy hidden away, which he has one-sided conversations with.

starscream would play up his g1 trait and be a spark ghost, frequently haunting/tormenting megatron but also keeping tabs on the other cons and watching/harassing the autobots.

soundwave would be based on the phantom of the opera, with half his head being melted/badly damaged, he now hides in the sewers and composes his own music which he anonymously broadcasts to the human city above. he is also going insane as his damage means his mind reading abilities are always active and hearing all the humans minds. he also refuses to free his cassettes from his chest out of paranoia that they may either betray or abandon him.

skywarp would be based on the invisible man, his body having been rendered virtually nonexistent by previously being overloaded when attempting to teleport, he wears makeshift armor(made from jet parts and based on the armada version) to be seen and hold together his barely existing physical form.

reflector would be based on the classic zombie horde; he/they created far too many copies/clones at once, spreading the shared consciousness too thin until it snapped, leaving them all bereft of any higher consciousness, only barely living functions like stunted mobility and desire to find energy, as well as brain modules from other bots to potentially restore their own mind.

shatter, would be based on dracula, after a failed experiment in augmenting the decpeticons energy processing abilities, became a ravenous energy vampire, compulsively sucking off raw energy sources to survive, including other bots.

sixshot would be based on a werewolf, having lost control of his savage and now independent wolf mode, which he cannot resist switching to at random times.

spittor would be based on the creature of the black lagoon, with his look and traits based off his tfa version but to a greater extent. he now also has a proper frog alt mode, though a grotesque one.

cyclonus would be based on the mummy, having been supposedly killed by the humans and bound in titanium wrapping and dumped underground to be forgotten. he eventually stirs from statsis lock, his mind deteriorated and his body barely functioning and only held together by the bindings, and goes out to seek warped revenge on humans and transformers alike.

Bonecrusher, based on his movie version, would just be like a wild engine of destruction, very much a jason vorhees type.

blackarachnia, with a tfa design, would be also mutated into a technorganic which is treated more as her being this biomechanical abomination, somewhat inspired by the Metaluna Mutant.

snapdragon and apeface would be based on godzilla and king kong respectively, and be like mini kaiju who consistently feud in beast mode and destroy the same city over and over.

the insecticons are now feral insect types who have built a large underground hive.

the autobots would consist of optimus prime, ironhide(movieverse based), red alert(tfa based), jazz, bulkhead, mirage, hashtag(earthspark based), bumblebee, cliffjumper, whirl, knockout(rotf based) and wheeljack(dotm body design and personality, but with typical colors and head design). optimus, jazz, bee and cliff would have overall design and traits based on their wfc/foc designs, simply just if they now had earth mode features.

so, what are thoughts on this admittedly weird concept?

TF: Rez: The DOTM Wreckers

So, yesterday, I watched Dark of the Moon for the first time. Enjoyed it more than I expected. But it also gave me an idea for a whole spin off series of Rez with the Wreckers....yeah, heh, welcome to my brain.

Roadbuster, Topspin and Leadfoot, the main trio we follow, find themselves confined to a small town on the East Coast, longing to rejoin the war that they discover is still going on. However, certain events will make them reconsider this, especially as the townspeople start to gain a firmer hold over their sparks. They resolve to defend their new home at any cost, as they try to work out what the heck is going on with the factions they once knew so well, or so it seemed they did...

Yeah, it's basically Rescue Bots, but with more stuff blowing up.

I'm still ironing out their individual characters, but their general vibes are "Grandpa who can still wreck your scrap and his two grandkids following his footsteps". They're still weapons developers, and in fact, that may have been their original job, but there's more an emphasis on incorporating them into a unique fighting style. More to come as we figure them out, but I wanted to draw them now. When inspiration strikes, you gotta capture it by the horns.

And no, they aren't racers for NASCAR. Nor are they sponsored.

Optimus new look, Lockdown & Galvatron, KsI (bots), Dinobots, cast ( HATED this Sam & Mikeala ) and the TF/human conflict. Still love it. Miguel GC Gamer Age of Extinction is the only film that entertains that I don't skip any parts of the movie and I like all the characters in this film and the transformers designs are great, dino bots are Awsome. Vincent H well....bad taste is also bad taste at the end of the day. I know you younger kids think that everyone is supposed to have an opinion and everything is subjective blah blah blah but if you're a cinephile than the Transformers are objectively bad films. They are cynical cash grabs made to make money in China. Bay and the producers have said as much. I mean you can like whatever you want. Oliver Parker I thought the premise of the world hating and hunting the Transformers(regardless of Faction), cuz of what happened in Chicago(in DOTM), was kool, MW was a refreshing Main Hero over Shia tbh, and Lockdown was Badass! I saw Bumblebee yesterday and I find it Like watching E.T., the movie is just on Charlie, not really much on Bee. The only g1 part is the first 5 minutes of the movie. Too much 80s references. If you like character relationships and a girl and her problems trying to find her way, then you'll like it. If you like transformers actions and interactions, you may not like it as much. Even though the Bay movie didn't focus enough on the transformers, this one did even less The Burden of Bordem I'm a decepticon fan and none of the main decepticons were even given a name in the movie. They were just there to be bad. The Burden of Bordem For me I think this film would have worked much better if they just had Starscream as the main villain, and maybe Barricade hunting bumblebee and give them a more personal relation ship as enemies. But like I said, it end up being a movie about a girl and her relation ship with Bumblebee and enemies getting in their way. bandwon he main character is more fleshed out than the others, Bumblebee I guess is as well, but he can't talk so it isn't by much, the story is standard E.T./Iron Giant, the acting is fine, the directing is probably better than the others, the action is good when it happens, but there is far less than the others, and non of the action reached the peak of the Bay movies. and if it wasn't for the fact there were transformers in it I probably wouldn't have really liked it, but it's enough to get you invested and entertained imo. luke jack You really think anyone's gonna take you serious after you typed "Bumble" Haha the 2007 film and DotM were pretty decent films and satisfying in the end. lisa Speaking as a male, it always annoys me, as a child, that certain plot-line of every terribly written sci-fi (mainly Transformers): "main character is a dick=likable guy" "he has 'relatable' problems, that are only explored in the first 15 minutes of the film" "He start having an abusive/creepy relationship (because that's how well written romance works, right...), with the love interest (they barely explore her name)." least favorite thing about them: This one’s kinda dumb, but because of his shoulder/chest design, damn near all of his toys lack shoulder rotation/poseablity in the arms.

favorite line: From the DOTM game- “Don’t worry, Ratchet. I’ve got your back!” (This entire mission is Ironhide and Ratchet bitching at each other/teasing. And then Ironhide has to avenge Ratchet for his injuries by Mixmaster. Grade A shipping material right there.)

Finally getting around to posting some of my reaction to the movie from yesterday.

Ok I’ll try not to be too spoilery-fied but there might be just a little.

So first off absolutely loved it. I feel like with Aoe and Tlk Bay redeemed himself from Rotf and Dotm. Maybe not completely but pretty close enough for me. Lol

I was all scared of evil Optimus pfffft there wasn’t nothing to be scared over. Quintessa still a witch though.

This movie to me felt like it went super fast. Like continuous action one thing leading to another and another. But I was able to follow along with no trouble.

I was warned of plot holes and that it would be like super bonkers. Well I could see why they’d say plot holes but me myself I didn’t see anything that would be like a serious plot hole. And as far as bonkers I really didn’t think it was that. If the parts they are referring to is the ones in thinking of (grant it that it is those scenes) to me they were hilarious comedy relief.

I feel like there was way more entertainment with in all the action.

I was not so for Vivian when first saw her in the trailer but she totally cool.

Wish there would have been more with Izabella and Squeeks so much potential there and absolutely adorable.

Speaking of Squeeks….super cute but holy shit what he can do (hence end battle scene) he like a Fixit from rid 2015.

Baby Dinobots:…..I want then all just in a place that is fireproof and with no breakable objects. Lolol

This maybe be spoiler-ish…..Bee voice….hilarious beginning totally save the day at the end. And I’ll leave it at that. Talking fast didn’t catch some of the lines. If there is anything I didn’t catch it would be that. Can’t wait for DVD/blue ray so I can listen in closely.

Big thing that’s probably spoilery…..the trailers tooooootally take things out of context. Don’t trust em. They don’t go near what the movie is about. So please don’t base the movie on the trailers. Cause the trailers make it look like one thing but is totally not how it plays out. The whole Bee vs Optimus like literally happens in a few seconds no more same goes for Quintessa with Optimus and Optimus vs Megatron. Ok maybe the Quintessa part with Optimus may have been a little longer than a few seconds but not by much. Please trust me on that.

Above all absolutely wonderful movie. Thank you Bay, Paramount, Hasbro, and everyone involved in the movie. Superb job y'all.
