I'm not really a big fan of dogs, but Wick is a different situation.

I can imagine him thinking darling just using him because of his gentle nature, breaking down because he's just so frustrated with your 'fake' dense behavior.

When darling tells him that although they think he's a very nice guy, his dog is just what really gravitates them towards him, there is nothing but silence.

Victor is stunned. Darling has been talking to him all this time simply because they liked his dog?...

Well why hadn't darling told him sooner??? Yeah he's seen them eyeing Wick everytime he came around, and how ecstatic they are when Wick snuggles up to their legs.

He apologizes for his outburst and from then on uses Wick as a way to see you more. Of course, Wick is also pleased with this outcome. They're a team with the same expectations and intentions; A perfect duo indeed.

Of course he knows darling isn't all pure and innocent just because they go soft for a postmans dog, but that doesn't mean it's not cute.
