It’s so weird when I get new followers on my super secret non-monster main blog because I only have 27 followers there, most of which are people I’ve known on tumblr for six years that followed my new blog when I remade a while back. I don’t post anything on that blog anymore, really. Sometimes I’ll reblog like three things and then I won’t touch it for a week. So I usually just soft block people that follow if they look iffy because I don’t know why any actual person would follow me there.

This kind of non-activity / non-feedback is happening across all my socials. I don't create content with likes and followers in mind, but this kind of thing is heartbraking and it also makes me hesitant about working on new stuff if noone will check it out.

I know I don't post stuff regularly, so the algorithm buries me, but it's just not practical. Having a full time job and making machinima + custom content doesn't leave room for posting stuff every single day.

there's a cherry blossom tree in DC that keeps blooming every year even though it shouldn't and the park service keeps thinking it's dead and then it keeps blooming! well they're removing a lot of trees to rehabilitate the area and they've said it's finally time for stumpy to go and they're going to mulch it and use the mulch to enrich all the other trees so it can help everything else keep going. and they're also going to plant spliced little pieces of it all over so that stumpy can live forever and this is genuinely sending me into a spiral
