Shyfade is finally here! I've been working on this one for a while, and I hope you guys like it! This is only pg. 1 and 2 of what I hope is going to be quite a long comic :3

Although - before i say anything else, I will clarify that the reason the clan is called "Successionclan" is because this was originally supposed to be a Lifegen run with Roman Roy from Succession, which kinda got outta hand (she's gonna show up later i prommy <33) and I've stuck to the name cause i find it funny :3

Also, warrior scerimonies are really weird when you think about it - the whole head kiss/shoulder lick thing just comes off as weird to me, because like - dude thats a kid?? also it very much gives off cult vibes. It was kinda hard to portray here, this is my first comic so I'm definitely still figuring things out, but the motion :(( had to scrap two panels that i really loved for this to make it flow better. Killing my darlings :(. But Shy's dicomfort with it was sooooo fun to explore!! It's almost theraputic? exploring my own religeous trauma through him lmao

I also have an irrational hatred for Sandstar (the brown cat) for some reason - me and Shy are united on that front lmao. Mskeing me a homophobic dog fr fr lmao.

Also shoutout to @chaotickitchenware ! If she didn't suggest I make this months ago it probably would never have happened, lmao, and she and @black-mass-things have massively helped me to make decisions with it, so big credits to them <3333

I ran out of space on the alt for the first page, hopefully its still legible tho 👍 let me know if there's anything I can improve on, cause I'm quite inexperienced with writing alts.

Clip Studio currently won't let me back into the actual file for the first page (I think it git corrupted ????) so I can't fix the spelling mistake that I just noticed in the fifth panel 😔😔😔 I also normally put progress vids here but i can't for the first page atm, I'll see if I can for the second page tho. (although I'll probably only add it later, I'm in a bit of a rush cause I gotta get ready to go somewhere and I dont have access to my puter at all rn 😔😔)

ok thanks so you ever heard of jackbox games. they make incredibly silly party games you can play with your phone. one of my faves is the fibbage series, specifically the most recent one fibbage 4

in fibbage you get a weird fact with an important word(s) blanked out. and every player has to write something to fill in that blank (that’s called a lie). then everyone picks what they think is the real answer (the truth). you get some points if someone falls for your lie, but more points if you find the truth

the main reason i like jackbox’s games so much is because of the voices in each game that narrate stuff like tutorials, prompts, etc. the fandom usually just refers to these guys as the Hosts of the games. some of them have official designs that appear sometimes throughout a game (m bubz in job job, rue meringue in roomerang, etc.)

others don’t have appearances Or official names (like the hosts of talking points, quixort & fixytext) and some More others, while not ever being seen, they do have names that they refer to themselves as. there’s schmitty from quiplash and lord tippet from weapons drawn

ok back to fibbage now the host of fibbage is part of the last category i listed, his full name is Cookie Masterson. he’s such a wild guy let me talk abt him for a moment. he has a niece named Lexical Semantics, his house is infested with bats, he once tried to drive down local real estate prices by dressing up as a ghost & the fandom has collectively agreed that he’s bisexual. those first three facts are from various voice lines that he has in fibbage 4. go try to look for them i dare you

fibbage 4 also has 5 special episodes with pre-decided questions (oh did i mention that the players take turns choosing the questions using random words relating to the questions? well in the special episodes they can still kinda “choose” the questions but every choice in one round leads to the same question. does this even make sense anymore i’m sorry) that relate to an over-arching storyline that each episode has, like there’s one where cookie’s on a date and hosting the game both at the same time, one relating to the bats infesting his house that i mentioned earlier, one where an ai clone of himself traps him in a closet and takes over the game for a bit. sorry for going on for too long i just really like sharing crazy shit i enjoy. anyways here’s a link to all 5 special episodes i have no idea if the embed will show or not

I am aware of Jackbox and a couple characters in it :) (I have actually made a design for the host of Trivia Murder Party once before but never finished or shared it!) Though I haven't been able to play many of the games myself 💔

This Cookie guy does seem very interesting tho and I'm sure I'd love him just from the stuff ur telling me fhjsdjd I'll probably check out the eps later and look more into this along with the other characters and hosts 😁 I love disembodied voice characters!!! (and by ur name i could tell you do as well LOL)

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)

anyone who follows my yyh posting knows im working on in theory a yukina specific au so obviously shes my fav:) shes the twin sister of hiei one of the main characters (the short troll doll shaped fellow) their mother was part of an ice demon culture where women bore only girls on their own but their mum went off and had a little fun and came back pregant w a girl (yukina) and a boy (hiei) she gave birth to both of them and while she was still down from giving birth they made her best friend throw hiei off a cliff and assumed he died.... so he had his whole shonen character orgin story but never forgot where he came from and returned there as a teen. their mother had died and his sister had set out to find him. the only thing she had to go on was the "tear" of her mother bc ice demons shet tears that turn into extremely valueable pearls so shes looking for her brother who will ofc recognize his pearl. she enters the story when the gang learns a demon has been kidnapped and is being abused bc of her valuable tears and they learn its hieis sister when he kamikazes the guys holding her....she immediatly recognizes smth in him and he asks him who he is but he just responds w "no one" and after that they have this weird relationship of recognition but hiei can never tell her hes her brother for reasons i cant explain bc this is already like a page of text so tldr: scorpio legend back story and relation to the main charas that make me cry and throw up every single day of my life killer design i need to stop now i could go on forever one of my ALL TIME FAV CHARACTERS EVER (im so mad she gets sidelined that im actively working on an au)

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)

im gonna go the creature route here once more and say puu!! bc hes literally shaped^^ hes connected to the main character and supposed to show yusukes innermost self so he feels everything he feels and changes w yusuke over the course of the story i wont say too much but know theres some instances of puu that slay me on impact everytime i experience them.......CREATURE

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)

not really underappreciated in the tumblr scene but GENKAI you might know her from my old url shes the legendary gamer grandma!!! shes just an old as shit tiny women who can shoot lasers and has an arcade in her home w games that she herself has to put quarters in i love her sm if u say anything mean about her she will kill you on the spot or beat u in street fighters at her house whatever works for her

again slightly spoilers but the way she and the first big antagonist are connected and play off eachother......togashi literally invented femism here (and uninvented it w biski in hxh)

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)

koto!!!! togashis mind when he wrote the quintessential tournament arc and had the whole thing commentated and refereed by women. koto is just in the ring to see violence and blood and will complain if someone is having a shonen character monologue instead of fighting her design is also really cool shes a fox girl w a microphone doing backflips!! she sadly only really appears in the tournaments but when she does.....you know i go insane!!!!!

i can say this in good faith bc im part of the elite tumblr users who can experience the chapter black arc w a gay gaze like it was meant to be consumed bc hes very fucked up but also he was brainwashed as a child so whatever maybe hes right also i will be sending him to super hell very shortly

if were going less villian and more main character i have to say kuwabara bc i think a lot of ppl think hes super annoying and loud but hes actual the blueprint for all gay shonen boys out there....if your reaction to getting punched in the face is "omg he remembered my name" bestie.....i have news for you. also actually fits the description of poor little meow meow

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)

koenma im 100% sure he inspired boss baby also hes collecting child soldiers and manipulating them bc hes too lazy to do his job when this doesnt work out he just looks for someone new who cares what happens to the last guy if i say acab im including koenma in this

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)

as promised sensui and itsuki go to superhell i mean is it any different than spending eternity in the void at least there will be other gay ppl so youre welcome:)

also kurama bc hes commited crimes (in a funny way) and is fruity (im banking on him escaping i just think it would be funny if he was in there for a bit)

but also dont pretty much all of our main cast take vacation jobs in demon world in one part of the story.......so theyve all at least BEEN to superhell i guess
