It absolutely IS a fun idea. And because of that. You get full role swap. Because oh my god I had so much fun. Steph and Pete got the short end of the stick with the swap but that’s because I think the idea of Steph being the villain is too fun to pass up. I hope its to your liking, though. And the thumbnail sketch at the top is actually so good I might make a full version of it.

I love the way physical media feels when I hold it. I love book creases and worn paper. I love old sticker glue picking up whatever gunk it touches.

I love cracked plastic cases and slightly scratched CDs. I love the routine of turn on dvd player, open dvd case, open disc drive, place disk in, close disc drive, close case. I love dvd home screens and special features.

I love old paper, yellowing on the outsides. I love faded colours on covers from being stored on a windowsill. I love turning pages, so careful, yet thumbs indenting the page anyway.

I love proof of wear, proof of love. I love seeing something so clearly taken care of but worn regardless. Every page is in tact but it has been held onto for years, maybe decades. I love the stories hidden in the pages of a book you randomly choose one day. I love falling in love with characters for a moment, getting emersed into their worlds and feeling like I'm loved in return. I love carefully holding books away as you cry. I love pausing a dvd to cringe. I love laughing and crying and feeling to physical media. I love owning something concrete, something I can access whenever I want.

I love to make my own creases in book spines, pages warped under the weight of other books pressing on a bookmark lodged between the pages. I love to use dvds and feel their comforting weight in my hand. I love falling asleep and waking up to the title screen.

I love physical media.
