Hey guuuys! I'm semi back! :) I was able to get myself a bit more together to at least be able to start drawing again. My post may be a lil slow till things improve more. But! Till then, I give you this lil thing!

I'm actually super proud of this because I actually did the background! I'm thankfully finally getting better at them!

I also gave Nyssa and Tegan new outfits cause as much as I adore them, let's face it, they didn't have nearly enough good outfits.

I also have a new headcanon 🗣 I headcanon that after extensive stay in Tegans subconscious mind the mark of the Mara eventually scarred itself into her skin. Kinda like a brandishing of ownership.

Nyssa will normally wrap and bandage the mark to both keep it out of Tegan's sight and to keep it from getting infected. Tegan even believes to think the wrapping quiets the Mara a little, but I don't think it's just the Mara that helps silence her thoughts..

📺Any references to other media that you put in your fics?

Twice I have needed throw-away doctor characters and I have used doctors I like from other media. Dr. Karin Chakwas from Mass Effect makes an appearance in my Spirk fic And That's The Way It Is (the title is also a reference to Walter Conkrite since the fic focuses on watching the news). And Dr. Janet Fraiser from Stargate SG-1 makes an appearance as a feild medic in my Dragon Age Inquisition WIP for Erim Lavellan that is yet to be posted.

Otherwise, I haven't made many references across my fics other than the obvious when it makes sense like Turandot and Sous le dôme épais show up in my Endeavour fics because Morse is an opera nerd so obviously we need to reference some opera. Roses Entwined Together got its title from the lyrics of Sous le dôme épais.

🎧 A certain song you listened to while writing a fic?

I have playlists for almost all my major fics. If I'm posting it, it probably has a playlist. But I also get my chapter titles mostly from music lyrics. If i'm really trying to focus I listen more to classical or instrumental music ro retain focus. But not usually a single song in particular.

I did listen to Sous le dôme épais on repeat while writing Roses Entwined Together though. Its a very beautiful song.

Every time I remember that David Tennant's father in law is Peter Davidson I laugh because Georgia gets to have the most chaotic sentences imaginable because both her husband and her dad have played the Doctor. And also I imagine at some goddamn point Janet Feilding and Sarah Sutton came around, because the season 20 DVD literally has a trailer for Janet, Sarah, and Peter going on a fucking like road trip together, so they definitely hang out on some sort of regular basis, and David geeked and Georgia was like 'yeah so?' because y'know her life is already absolute insane because Doctor Who is just a Thing in her family NBD

Was no one going to warn me that JJ Feild is on Season 2 of New Amsterdam? And his scenes in his first episode are with my fave, Lauren Bloom.

I like their dynamic already, but I know that it won’t last. This show doesn’t let Lauren win for too long. So I’m sure this will all come crumbling down.

BUT, until then, I will live in the moment and watch these two go from enemies to lovers to not lovers but hopefully not enemies.

“Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner’s new Amazon series continues to expand the ranks of its cast.

Corey Stoll (“The Strain”), Andrew Rannells (“Girls”), Mike Doyle (“Odd Mom Out”), JJ Feild (“Turn: Washington’s Spies”), Janet Montgomery (“Salem”), and Paul Reiser (“Mad About You”) have joined “The Romanoffs” as guest stars. They join previously announced cast members Isabelle Huppert, Marthe Keller, Aaron Eckhart, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Jack Huston, and Amanda Peet.

“The Romanoffs,” which Weiner is executive producing and writing with Semi Chellas (“Mad Men”), is the first TV project for the “Mad Men” creator since his Emmy-winning AMC series ended in 2015.

Set to premiere in 2018 and produced by The Weinstein Company, “The Romanoffs” will consist of eight hour-long episodes, each of which will tell a standalone story with no recurring plot elements or actors. Each episode will tell the stories of people in contemporary times who believe they are descendants of the imperial family that ruled Russia from 1613 until the Bolsheviks seized power in 1917...

I love it when people in Fandom(s) have that ONE very small niche thing they hyperfixate on and it just rots their brain to the core. So here's mine! :D Mara Tegan is ligit my favorite thing (other than Tegans complex relationships with Nyssa) the Mara in general is my favorite Villain in fictional history, so it only felt right to draw this. 😌✨
