The liberty pisses me off. Jaylyn gave y’all defense and buckets as a guard. Y’all got blown out by Chicago. They don’t want it cause it just doesn’t make sense to waive her. Anyways Jaylyn Sherrod will be back and better!

In a stunning upset, the Colorado's women basketball team triumphed over No. 1 LSU with a score of 92-78 at the lively T-Mobile Arena on Monday night. The Buffaloes fearlessly took on the reigning national champions, undeterred by LSU's impressive roster additions during the offseason.
Leading the charge for Colorado were Frida Formann, Jaylyn Sherrod, and Aaronette Vonleh, all key players from last year's Sweet 16 squad. Formann was on fire from beyond the arc, sinking seven three-pointers and achieving a career high of 27 points. She also contributed five rebounds, five assists, and two steals to her outstanding performance. Vonleh showcased her shooting prowess as well with 25 points on an impressive 11-15 shooting from the field.
Sherrod displayed an exceptional all-around game with her scoring ability complemented by eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Although her leadership and energy might not be fully reflected in the stat sheet, they played a crucial role in securing Colorado's victory.
The game started off with Colorado displaying aggression on both ends of the court and taking an early lead of 6-2. However, LSU responded with an impressive scoring run of their own to take control momentarily while keeping Colorado scoreless for nearly four minutes.
Formann's clutch three-pointer with just under two minutes left in the first quarter brought Colorado within one point at 13-14 as they headed into half-time trailing slighlty behind LSU.
In a concerning moment during the second quarter when Sherrod took a hard hit to her head resulting in a media timeout; she showed incredible resilience by returning to play instead of heading to the locker room for recovery.
Sherrod made an immediate impact upon returning to action by converting an 'and one' layup followed by sinking a free throw that brought Colorado within two points at 22-24. The Buffs then went on a 7-0 run, taking a 25-24 lead as LSU struggled to find their shooting rhythm.
With just over two minutes remaining in the first half, Sara Rose-Smith's corner three-pointer extended Colorado's lead to seven points at 32-35. Both teams traded baskets in the final minutes of the second quarter, but at halftime, Colorado held a solid 38-32 advantage while shooting an impressive 47% from the field. Sherrod led the Buffs in scoring during this period with all her 12 points coming in the second quarter.
Colorado started to gain some separtion during the third quarter, although it remained a closely contested game heading into the final period.
In an electrifying fourth quarter surge, Colorado embarked on an impressive 11-0 scoring run that propelled them to their largest lead of the night at 77-55. The Buffaloes showcased their dominance and resilience throughout this remarkable victory over LSU.

I’m glad my sister listens to my basketball rants and knows enough to keep up with me bc sometimes I just want to talk about the players I like but no one I know gives a fuck about the sports I like 🙄

Hey bestie, it’s me 🙋‍♀️ but this time for something non-ucla fic related (omg!)
Was just inspired after the top 16 reveal, so here’s what i’m predicting based off the current top 16 and bracket assignments even though there’ll likely be a lot of movement between now and selection sunday. Also, forewarning, some of these are purely based off vibes (and the assumption that all 16 make it to the sweet 16 even though i’m sure there’ll be 2nd round upsets) 😅:
Elite 8:
South Carolina vs Oregon State (yep i’m calling Oregon St “upsetting” Iowa in the Sweet 16)
Ohio State vs LSU
Stanford vs Texas
UCLA vs UConn
Final 4:
South Carolina vs UCLA (I wanna say I see us upsetting UCLA real bad but i just can’t i’m sorry 😭 plus i’m punishing ucla fic paige for ucla fic azzi 😌)
Ohio State vs Stanford
Championship game:
UCLA vs Ohio State (i know i know, i have ucla upsetting socar 🫣)
Champs:
Ohio State (note: I loooove Jacy, Cotie and Celeste so this may be slightly biased 🤪)
I know it’s not the most bold of takes given i have all no 1 seeds making it to the final 4 but i tried sprinkling in some hotter takes?? I’m keen to know your predictions bestie!
Big love always 💗💗
Hi my love <3
These are some SPICY predictions omg I love them. South Carolina not making the championship game? OSU winning it all?? 🔥
I feel like mine are much more basic ngl.
Elite 8
SC vs Oregon State (I'm with you babes, I just don't think Iowa has it personally)
Colorado vs LSU (this was actually really hard but I'm a staunch Jaylyn Sherrod fan and what is USC outside of Juju lol)
Stanford vs NC State (could easily be Texas, I just think NC state might have a little bit more to give)
UCLA vs UConn (Paige > Georgia, Aaliyah > Liz everybody else is whatever but I'm still kinda terrified)
Final Four
SC vs UConn (I just think that we played the worst basketball of our lives and only lost by 10 and if we just play well we could beat UCLA *famous last words*)
Stanford vs LSU (LSU is not gonna lose to the same team twice...I think)
National Championship
SC vs Stanford (I feel like this is pretty self-explanatory though I will say March Li and P)
Champions
Stanford (CAMERON BRINK SUPREMACY)
For all my thoughts and vibes, apparently I'm still holding out hope on UConn but also this actually seems like an okay enough bracket for us to get through (more famous last words). Anyways this bracket isn't gonna hold either but I actually do think Stanford could win at the end of the day.
Thanks for coming, love you bestie <3
(I feel like we write letters to each other lol)

there’s a real possibility that Jaylyn Sherrod won’t play for the wnba bc she wants to get into coaching or I think forensic science. her second master’s is in criminal justice as her back up plan if she can’t get into coaching and I love that for her but I want to watch her play and this is her final year in college :/

Was my logic behind this partly driven by the fact that I just think Jaylyn Sherrod is incredibly hot? Yes.
But it worked out anyways so 😌
Anyways, my first round predictions fell very flat but I am 3/3 so far today and my bracket is no longer completely in shambles!
