In your opinion, which Ultraman series had the most unique kaiju designs?

Honestly I think it's a toss up between Nexus and Cosmos as we have really quite a few variety of interesting looking beings like Angrilla and Kutuura from each series and that has always left a pretty unqiue impression on me when I saw their series as a kid

What are some other fun Ultraman monsters?

I’ve actually only watched the original series, so there’s, like, hundreds more to choose from, but here’s some of my favorites from there (besides Pestar and Jamila who I already mentioned)

Bullton is a good one, a weird meteor-looking thing that distorts space. Despite looking metallic (to me at least), it’s body is actually soft, and is apparently fully organic

Gavadon is an interesting idea, being a child’s chalk drawing that came to life, but the design is just eh. ESPECIALLY when compared to it’s first form

Greenmons is one of my favorites aesthetically. It’s a flower that fed on gamma radiation.

And then there’s Jirass, (in)famous for being a recycled Godzilla costume with some yellow stripes and a frill.

And while I haven’t seen any other series yet, some of their monsters have been brought to my attention.

I like Nova’s extremely simple yet kinda spooky design. It can exhale red smoke that forces people to violently attack each other.

Magnia is a colony of parasites that fuse together to form a conventional kaiju body for reasons

Chronorm is a giant nudibranch, or at least resembles one, and that’s all I need to know

And I just really love Kutuura’s design
