This is a “true color” RGB composite (1km resolution) captured by GOES ABI in early October over the SE US, right as the leaves started to change on the Cumberland plateau. The Tennessee river and Lake Guntersville snake through the center of the image, with Sand Mountain and Lookout Mountain below and to the right.
The strange coloration is due to histogram equalization that makes it easier to see ridge lines, but the red, green, and blue colors are relatively the same as you would see from the satellite.
