So I bargain binned the entire L.E.G.I.O.N series a year or two ago, and I've finally decided to read through it. Obviously I'm reading it for Lobo, but this reading order list won't be just Lobo appearences.

L.E.G.I.O.N. '90 reading order part 1:

1) L.E.G.I.O.N #1 -18

2) Action Comics #650

3) Superman #41

4) The Adventures of Superman #464

5) Action Comics #651

6) The Adventures of Superman annual #2

7) L.E.G.I.O.N '90 annual #1

The Superman comics in between Legion #18 and TAOS annual #2 aren't necessary, but it is a funny ark featuring Lobo, and has been featured in Superman the animated series. In The Adventures of Superman annual #2 both Lobo and Superman recall the events of that fight, so reading those issues will give you context. I am figuring out this reading order as I go and read the two annuals after L.E.G.I.O.N #16 and it does feel out of place. The annual arc is direct continuity to the ongoing series and not a one off story like annuals can be.

Hope this helps, I don't know of anyone providing Lobo lists like this, so I hope you enjoy.

This has been a great read, I $1 binned probably 99% of this series over the course of 2 to 3 years. I kind of sat on it and put my attention to other things Lobo was in. I've decided to crack my floppies open and dive into Legion '89. I kind of regret sleeping on it for so long, this isn't an adult book, but it's not for kids, it reads at a faster pace which is great for reading the series in chunks like me. So far I'm neutral on Strata, the Durlan comes off as weak to me (but he looks great), Lyrissa Malok is a character I want to like, but she's not for me, Garryn Bek is the token wimp and I love seeing the main man pick on him, Stealth is a total babe and bad ass, and Vril Dox can suck the main man's d*@! for what he did to our guy. If you haven't read this series, pick it up in digital or $1 bin it.
