Got some news about the upcoming "Superman vs Lobo" comic - so apparently Krypton and Czarnia will be resurrected. The twist, though, is that, through a mistake, both Lobo and Superman end up on each other's respective planets. I like to think Superman would get along with the other Czarnians myself, just because Czarnians were described as being pacifistic. Lobo and Krypton, though? Hoo boy!

Anything goes in the new Omniverse. Taking some time to get used to, but I am definitely looking forward to that book!

Big shout out to @taylorthegiant for filling in my continuity gap. This was in response to my notes on Lobo cloning himself in Dark Knigt's Death Metal #6. I will own my mistakes because I want us as a community of Lobo fans to have the most accurate and up to date information available.

I have most of this era in continuity collected, I just haven't found time to read it yet. Won't pose like I have.

Finished up my Death Metal project about a week ago. This was taken from issue 6.

Preface: this did get my jollies off. I always thought it'd be sick to have Lobo be Wonder Woman's dirty little secret....

BUT!! This is in every way a continuity sin. In L.E.G.I.O.N. '89 issue 7 Vril Drox offers Lobo a poisoned drink unbeknownst to the Main Man in a toast just prior to taking over Colu. That poisoned drink "neutered" Lobo as he calls it, removing Lobo's ability to clone himself. It's been a long standing point of continuity that was never retconned until now. This has to be an alternate world Lobo for this to legally work in my head.

Like 8-10 years ago I really could have helped you out. I used to break the law and read free comics. The NSA has since gone after and shut down these illegal torrent and downloading sites making that option hard.

I did a quick little search and "viewcomics.me" and "readcomiconline.li" seem promising for free reading; however, from my smart phone I had no luck being able to read anything listed.

I'm subscribed to DC Infinite, that app is the official app of DC Comics and I "think" it's $7.99 or maybe even less a month to have free access to over 20k books from all eras. Plenty of Lobo. If you're into Marvel they have an app called Marvel Unlimited which is the same idea. The most expensive way to read books digitally would be to sign up for a Comixology account through Amazon. All books are cover price but they do have sales.

Lastly I'd like to contradict myself and encourage you to go to your LCS if you have one and hunt for deals on physical copies and support your local economy!

Don't get it twisted, I understand the market is stupid right now. I understand eBay doesn't represent the entire market, and I also understand people are trying to cash in on future value with books. Books that have done nothing to deserve the value....

What I don't get is why people would place value on a mini series. That's what this is.... Lobo is my goat, we know this. Still doesn't mean I feel we're at the $1k level yet, even at gold label 9.8. I also love Crush, I would probably have had a real crush on her if I was much younger when she came out.... Still doesn't mean she's done anything to warrant $800+ for a gold label 9.8 on her 1:25 ratio variant.

Do your homework my fellow fans, check eBay sales listings, reference go collect, key collector, comic book realm, and other value aggregate sites. Don't just over pay because it's your goat, that's how you get burned out in this hobby. I'm not in the business of deterring people from the hobby.

I don't know everything about Lobo (I am trying to strive for that though) and I don't try to act like it. Just want to celebrate my all time favorite character with fellow fans and give back to a character who gives me an escape and lots of stress relief on the daily.

Any thoughts on who Crush's mom could be? The only one that comes to mind is Harley Quinn since they have been together, but that doesn't really explain the magical chain she has. What do you think?

My gut tells me Crush's mom is a new character. I have wondered if Ramona from Death & Taxes is Crush's mother, there's a scene in that first issue where Ramona talks about a brief romance with the main man. There's a chance it's Darlene from the 64 issue Alan Grant run, that was as close as Lobo got to a formal relationship. Then there's also a chance it's one of the girls from Blazing Chain of Love, but that wouldn't be satisfying. I think only a writer the likes of Grant Morrison would tie a continuity knot to 30 year old stories, but you never know. I sure would love to see Al, Darlene, and that tiny space diner in continuity again.
