i’m a platonic stancy best friends truther and i think nancy would end up being really protective of steve after everything

somewhere between s2-s3 her and steve talk about their relationship. she apologizes for taking out her feelings about barb on steve and for using him for comfort even though she didn’t love him. steve forgives her, understands why she did it and knows they were both hurting. they make up and become best friends

once steve and robin become best friends, nancy has to vet robin before she is allowed to be steve’s Official Best Friend (she passes with flying colors though)

when eddie starts dating steve, he gets several shovel talks (from robin, dustin and max) but the scariest is definitely nancy’s. she is cleaning one of her guns the whole conversation and describes in detail what she’ll do to him if he hurts steve

if she hears anyone talking shit about steve in school she will tear them apart verbally and psychologically. nancy once hears some girl talking about steve’s flirting at scoops/family video and calling him r*tarded and straight up punches her in the face and breaks her nose. she does not regret it one bit

How I feel about this character

actually had one of the best character arcs I've seen since justin foley in 13 reasons why (also me ignoring most of his scenes in season 4 because of you know what for the sake of my well being)

eddie, jonathan, me, my oc whenever I decide to write the fucking fic instead of in my mind. someone should bully me into writing it, finally

My non-romantic OTP for this character

robin. hands down one of the best platonic pairings to ever exist. they mean everything to me. also if the duffers weren't cowards, we could've had platonic stancy in season 4. let exes be best friends without awkward tension, please!

My unpopular opinion about this character

pretty much said the same thing in yours. him dying in season 5 is more likely happening then stancy becoming a thing again. it's just the trope of discussing your future while you're in a current situation where you are currently or are about to be in fucked up situations, you're gonna die or something horrible is gonna happen. trin lovell said it perfectly. I mean, I've also seen that trope in fear street with sarah and hannah, in teen wolf with scott and allison & stiles and malia (neither of them died but bad stuff did after that speech in 5x01), and also in twdwb with percy and iris. steve's fate is pretty much sealed, in my opinion. also the pretty bad parallels they have with mileven also further prove that neither of them are endgame

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

platonic stancy. platonic stancy. platonic stancy. also him and jonathan being besties already. and maybe even kiss, who knows, lol

At this point it has to be Eddie, he's a ray of sunshine and such a lovely character that the writers didn't have time to ruin <333 • favorite female character: Max, she was so brave in this season!! • least favorite character: The dumb annoying police guy, I have beef with him since s1. • prettiest character: … All of them. It's a tie between Steve and Eddie. • funniest character: Dustin <333 • favorite season: Season one is still the best, hands down. • favorite episode: Hard to choose because my brain just sees the seasons as long movies… Maybe The Hellfire Club (not because we get DM Eddie nono) • favorite romantic ship: Jancy and I'll die on this hill, if only the writers were able to stick to that and not revert to the love triangle… • favorite family ship: Steve and his adopted kids of course :) • favorite friend ship: Man, the Eddie and Dustin friendship really hit me hard… If only there was more of it! • worst ship: Now let's be clear, no hate here, just personal taste, but I can't see the appeal in the Stancy ship. I had lenghty discussions about this and listen, Steve is amazing, sweet and a catch and Jonathan has been downgraded so much from what he was in s1 and s2 it's indefensible and so is his relationship with Nancy, but still… Even if things with Jonathan are going south for good, I still think Nancy and Steve are not a complementary couple. Like at all. (My friend and my mom giving me side eyes because I profess my love for Steve daily but I still prefer Jonathan to him 👀) (Also thank you Duffers for making him a liar and a coward and nothing more that a stoner this season thank you thank you).
