perhaps I'm still under a recency bias but still, I'd always choose pure brotherhood over friendly rivalry any day to be honest.

imagine this snobby noble getting so disguisted of asta's so they be like, "you son of a bitch" - and then liebe will emerge from the grimoire and run after them on all four like a mad dog so asta has to physically restrain him from stabbing them to death.

now imagine the two of them, with half braincell, jumping off cliff with asta riding liebe because they're trying to fly using his wings, liebe insists that their experiments always fail because asta is just fat - ("those are pure muscles, jerk!").

^ that's just one of the many dumb ideas they experiment over the years, some are good, some are bad, some are weeeeird.

Asta & Yuno:

much to asta's terror, yuno never stops getting taller and taller, it's like every time he gets more muscular, yuno just grows extra inch to mock him.

yuno often visits the black bulls base, ends up eating dinner with them, and even sleeps the night in asta's room for old times' sake but also the atmosphere is too similar to their home's back in hage for yuno to decline the offer.

before magic knights & wizard king, they used to have childish dreams of joining a circus and exploring the world together as a duo of performers.
