i have things to say about my little tv shows now ok. 1) the big thing i know we all care so much about. the change in showrunners for greys from krista vernoff (my enemy for real) to someone new. i had to look her up it’s meg marinis and i have tentatively decided to trust her because i looked up what episodes she’s written and she HAPPENS to be the writer behind my favorite greys episode ever. not that that makes the episode good i was just 17 and there was a scene in there that gay 17 year old beth desperately needed at that time. we don’t have to get into it. also she wrote the last 2 episodes of season 19 which i remember being INSANE in the straight people department (lucas and simone!!!!) so. i’m trusting her. meg i am putting my faith in you. do not let me down.

2) jo and link BORING. don’t care for them sorry! not all straight people are winners some of them are lame and pale in comparison to the interns realness and the iconicity of miranda bailey and ben warren…. 3) speaking of my queen miranda bailey. oh it’s all coming together… full circle moment!! she’s in charge of the interns! she’s the best damn teacher in that hospital! yay! rip what’s his name we hardly knew you. because you were boring. (referring to meredith’s lame boyfriend who was previously teaching the interns and is now moving to boston to be with meredith)

and now. station 19, first of all they set my girl up… they changed the time slot to 10 and made this their last season… all for what. 911??? someone needs to kill themselves for this. i’ll see you in hell whatever abc executive designed this. anyway. 2) the good thing about this being. the end 😐 (and we all know how well i do with endings.) is that finally the endgames will become clear. this is a show in which. SO much has happened with every character’s arc i don’t even remember it all it’s been on for seven years ok it started as a show about a woman trying to fill her father’s shoes on her way to becoming the captain of the fire station they both work in. our girl has lost so many times it is unreal, she has had that captain position stolen from her roughly a thousand times, her romantic life has been in shambles since day one i won’t even go there rn. anyway so from episode one it’s clear that her arc this season now that she HAS the captain title is going to be about becoming the BEST captain, and she will!! i believe in my girl and i always have!! and jack’s arc will clearly be about figuring out his life without being a firefighter now that he has all that brain damage. and so on and so forth. we can finally see an end in sight to these characters hectic ass lives and thank fucking god because station 19 is one of the most stress inducing shows i’ve ever watched. 3) as well as that. the romantic endgames will become clear. i can see the full picture forming i can finally begin to see it all… as i said earlier i have been rooting for jack and andy endgame since day one and frankly if that one in a million win happens. i’ll probably explode idk i never thought what might happen if i actually won there i don’t really expect to. the romantic endgames are not all clear i was using this point as a lead in to point 4. so 4) travis… well i’ve known for years they were always going to go back to travis and emmett. i knew that random british man was not long for my man travis the second he came in. listen. travis and emmett started ages ago, and they broke up and became friends and the actor playing emmett left the show and then they brought him back cuz they liked him so much. and i knew the moment they kept bringing him back. this is endgame and i better get used to it. so it’s a good thing i never had anything against travis and emmett because well it looks like i was right this is endgame bye british guy hashtag america strong hashtag declaration of independence hashtag go back to where you came from etc. sorry i really don’t care for that british man he was like. mildly tolerable last season but i never wanted him to stay around this long it’s fucked up. anyway. loved travis and emmett’s little cheating moment as emmett grieves his shitty dead dad who we all hated for being a republican <3 loved that they had sex in emmett’s mother’s house while she was probably like two rooms away and also i have a keen eye and like that was a room without a damn door they were in when they started tearing each other’s clothes off. as my mother commented. “in the living room???” real as fuck mom… anyway slay. point 3a) vic and ruiz can’t possibly be endgame right. god they probably are. fuck my life 🙄 god he’ll never be ripley…. you had to be there at the time it was the moment at the time….

yeah. anyway. lots of wins for straight people tonight. i wish they were real :( also some wins for the gays of those shows, maya and carina as always serving up their bland boring network tv lesbian couple swag. kinda obsessed tbh. maya has had a rough time of it in these seven seasons she deserves to be boring and lame now i think <3 my buddy schmidt still kinda losing the Take Me Seriously war. i fear if these six years have been any indication he never will win that battle. BUT. remember that meg is running the show now…. meg loves him… i mean clearly meg loves him she wrote The Episode….. meg i won’t ask for much but if it’s not too much trouble could you perhaps give a think on bringing back nico before they pull the plug on your show… just consider…. i’d really like it a lot if i got to see him even just one more time….. no worries if not meg i’m not trying to get greedy out here. however if you give my guy a krista core bullshit love interest i’ll kill you myself. peace and love. Mass Effect Tag Game

I stole this from @onedismay and anyone can now proceed to steal it from me

I am a fan since: The release of Legendary Edition, which came out on my birthday. And--1500+ hours of playtime later--It's the gift that keeps on giving lol

Favourite game of the series?: Mass Effect 2 is definitely my favourite because there just feels like there's so much more at stake and all the new characters introduced are great

MShep or FShep?: Most of my Sheps are women but I do have a few men even though I technically haven't played all of them yet

Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: I know a lot of people probably consider this the boring option, but I do prefer Earthborn because, for whatever reason, I have a thing about my OCs never knowing their parents

Biotics or Tech: 100% tech, I don't fuck with biotics

Paragon or Renegade: My main Shep is renegade with a touch of paragon

Favourite Class: Infiltrator is my go-to class, but I'll admit that I don't have a lot of experience with any of the other classes

Favourite Companion: Uhm all the techies are essentially my faves lol so Garrus, Tali, EDI, Legion, Kasumi, and Mordin. I also adore Joker, who I feel like gets accidentally excluded a lot because he's not someone who can tag along on missions. Then I have a bit of a soft spot for Vega. Oh, and Aria is pretty much the only asari character I enjoy lol

Least favourite Companion: I might get hate for this, but Liara. I hate how forced she is on you in the first game, and the fact that that does change for the rest of the series makes me so uncomfortable. I literally don't even both talking to her. Ever. I forget she's there half the time. If it weren't for the couple missions in ME3 where you're forced to take her, she would never leave the ship

My squad selection: Garrus is almost always there. I've forced myself to broaden my selection in recent playthroughs and utilise (almost) everyone, but Garrus is still definitely a top pick. Tali is up there, as well. Frankly, this answer is essentially the same as my fave companion(s) plus Wrex

Favourite In-game romance: Garrus. The only romance I honestly give a shit about

Other pairings I like: Joker and EDI, 100%. I'm also into the Jack/Miranda pairing, and I enjoy the thought of Ash and James ending up together

Favourite NPC: This is probably the proper place to mention Joker and Aria, but I'm not going back to edit my other answer including them lol

Favourite Antagonist: I'm not sure I really have one. Saren had potential and it would've been neat if he had stuck around for at least another game, but obviously that didn't happen. The Illusive Man was kinda lame and just overall a nuance soooo idk Udina? lmao

Favourite Mission: I'm not entirely sure... I don't think I necessarily have a favourite because they're all mandatory, for the most part. Even if they're not mandatory story-wise, they are to level up so it's ike...idk none of them really stick out to me and I dread something about each of them, to be honest lol

Favourite Loyalty Mission: Obligatory Garrus answer, but then I also enjoy Tali's mission, uhm... Kasumi's is fun, Mordin's is good, aaaand that's probably it

Favourite DLC: Citadel, hands down. Just the absolutely campiness and insanity of it. I mean, it was a good way to lighten the mood of what the rest of ME3 is, so the ridiculousness of it was honestly much appreciated. A close second would probably be between Omega and Leviathan

Control, Synthesis or Destroy: I prefer Synthesis. I don't give a shit what people say about it, I'm not going through all that bullshit of ending a 300-year long war between the Quarians and Geth just to fucking destroy the Geth in the end. It's pointless. Plus, I could never do that to EDI

Favourite Weapon: While I usually am the Infiltrator class, I always choose assault rifles as my specialisation (or just use them in general when I can), so in ME2 my go-to is the Mattock while in ME3 it's the Valkyrie or Chakram Launcher. As for sniper rifles, in ME2 it's the Viper and in ME3 it's the Valiant

Favourite Place: I enjoy Omega and Illium the most. I wish we could've explored them more because I feel like there was so much lost potential there.

Station 19 is back but is leaving until february so it’s a very special episode. After all the madness going around and the incredible Maya x Carina scenes we got it’s time to slow down a little and enjoy the holidays. These are my thoughts of Station 19 5x08 spoilers ahead:

1. Poor Ben, he really wants to have baby Pru in his family. Also it must be hard since Miranda lost a baby couple of seasons ago. Drunk Jack is a menace, going through what he’s going through is tough but it seems that he falls back to his old self whenever something happens to him. Hopefully he can find someone (whether is romantic or not) that can actually help him. Besides he’s drinking like he has a death wish.

2. Marinaaaa rises once again, they are so adorable😍 in their own little bubble of happiness. My heart breaks for Maya, she probably wasn’t allowed to play or anything given that her dad is awful, besides i don’t see her father just buying her action figures idk. And sweet Carina wanting to make her wife happy just says take it🥺🥺 Carina will be the one spoiling the baby for sure😂 lmao Andy looked like she spent three days sleeping. I guess she was lucky she didn’t catch the whole romance thing going at the apartment lol and she has pretty loud roommates. Divorce papers in the freezer, that’s new for sure and pouting Andy just wanting to leave the papers there😂 it’s the small gestures for me when it comes to Maya and Carina😍 i adore them.

3. Smooth transition to the other kissing couple😏 they were going hard at it. Travis was like uh are we getting naked or what🙄 but Emmett is so precious and is giving his boyfriend a nice painting. Emmett is adorable, can i keep him? I want him to be my bf tho😍. Lmao Vic’s reaction😂 she’s not smooth at all.

4. Ah yes the most awkward interaction ever. Travis knew something was up. Theo seems like a nice dude but idk. So Ruiz is formally in 19 now? Since Beckett said welcome i’m assuming he’s staying here now. Did you guys remember how it wasn’t usual to have three Lieutenants back when Maya was promoted and they all thought someone was going to be transferred? Well, now we have three of them again, for no reason other than ✨drama✨ i’m guessing. Beckett messing with Sullivan was fun tho😂 again i feel they are going in multiple directions with this. McCallister was an asshole for sure but it’s like we don’t get to see these things and it would be nice to get some actual stuff happening so we understand how a firestation works, i’m not saying give us all the bureaucratic you can fit but a small insight would be nice; we’ve been waiting forever to know what’s gonna happen with Maya’s investigation since McCallister was in charge, hopefully they can give her the job back; i’m guessing maybe Beckett goes to 23, Andy gets back to 19, Maya steps up as Captain and we’re all happy😍 (some wishful thinking right there). Even Beckett knows McCallister was terrible, oh Sullivan, politics will cost you a lot of you keep going at it. “Lady chief” oh come on…

5. Bored Vic is my mood. I hate that this happens so much, that dude is an asshole, i want to punch his face. Poor Carina☹️ someone pointed out (and it’s so true) that Carina also came from an abusive household but the way she embraced that was different from Maya’s that also happened to go through a similar situation. Traumatic events impacts different in every person and just because you don’t see it at first it doesn’t mean people is not affected by it. We want you back Andy! I love how excited Maya is for a woman to take the lead (honestly? Same) lmao Maya losing it whenever McCallister is brought up, i’m guessing that lead to some angry/frustrated Maya and Carina was happy to capitalize on those emotions lol. Yikes, they know something is up, at least Carina knows.

6. I’m so not interested in this💀 oh no daddy issues card. Vic that was so reckless but that poor baby and the mom weren’t safe. The guy trapped between those two cars, that was so stressful. That situation escalated way too quickly, Vic you need help. Back to the car guy, come on Sullivan, you’re only interested on how good things look. “I’ve some bells you can jingle” lmaooo.

7. Andy and Carina is the duo i didn’t know i needed, give me the bonding i needed. i hate they all are hurt by their parents :( Again, i hate that Jack is right and Vic needs to take a step back. It’s pretty terrible that so many people are in this situation, abusive partner and being emotionally, physically and financially abused and with little to no help

8. Bring back the PRT, hopefully we can have Carina working on the PRT or the clinic, i’m fine with anything at this point. I’m guessing they are so affected by this because of Dean’s death :(. Again, hate to agree with Jack but he’s right.

9. Finally a conversation i didn’t hate between these two. Actually i thought they were going to be endgame but it seems that they’re not so… Moving onto the next couple, this seems like a impending disaster

10. I love how they look at each other and they just know😍 i’m glad Marina is on a healthy place, no more drama, we don’t need more drama when it comes to our favorite couple😍 everyone being super excited to have a new probie. Lmao Travis and the painting😂 Carina is so happy that she’s buddies with Sullivan at this point lol😂😂😂 if Maya forgave him for the thing that happened, then i guess she’s declaring truce.

Alright so, slower episode but filled with important conversations. I hate that we have to wait so long at this point but if they’re coming back with a banger like they did in 5x07 no one will complain so that’s fine. My takes from this episode: Vic and Jack need help. Travis and Emmett are precious, Maya and Carina are precious x2, i hate Sullivan and his politics, Andy deserves to be happy and not dragged by her parents actions, Ben is such a good dad, Beckett is annoying. That’s a wrap folks!

Mass Effect Trilogy Tag!

I was not tagged by anyone, I just really wanted to join in. If you see this and want to as well, please do! I've been loving reading through everyone's :)

I am a fan since… 2011ish? Definitely at least a year before ME3 came out. I remember watching my brother play ME2 and thinking it was so cool. While he was away it was a huge comfort for me to play it in his room, kind of like a bonding or cathartic experience for someone who wasn't there at the time.

When ME3 came out, me and him went to the midnight release at a gamestop like 40 minutes away or something, wearing clothes we threw together to kind of fit the N7 color scheme. Even though we don't talk anymore, those memories are still really precious to me. Also, the nostalgia of playing ME1 after-school or on the weekend, running to get my easy mac from the microwave during a cutscene, stuffing too hot mouthfuls while speeding the Mako towards the conduit on Ilos.

Favorite game of the series: It's a tough call between ME1 and ME2, but I'd say ME2. It's the game I get the urge to replay the most.

MaleShep or FemShep? Femshep all the way. I only play MShep when I want to do his exclusive romances. No offense to BroShep, but ME was the first game I ever played that let me not just be a girl, but customizable. Not just to be the already generated token girl character in a pack of boys. And not only can you play Femshep, but every game you are surrounded by smart, funny, tough women as squadmates. It was such a huge deal to me, and still is. Femshep represents so much. As Jennifer Hale put it, FemShep was a military grade boot to the video game industry glass ceiling.

Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer? I personally tend to lean spacer in-game, but I tend to use Earthborn when I'm writing fics.

Paragon or Renegade? Usually Paragon, but Renegade playthroughs can be really interesting, especially if I have a detailed background about why Shep is the way they are. My first Renegade, Krystle, is pretty bigoted and anti-alien until she meets Liara. Krystle is naturally guarded and quick to anger, so meeting someone who seemed to accept her and listen to her without judgment really opens her mind.

By the 2nd game, she wakes up in the cerberus lab with new biotic powers, having previously been a regular foot soldier. This makes her seeth, having someone completely take her agency, agreeing with the illusive man on the surface but plotting against him the entire time. She starts to lean more Paragon, if only to piss him off. She has the biggest smirk on her face when she blows up the collector base.

Biotics or Tech? Oooh, this is hard. Maybe biotics just the tiniest smidge because of Jack/Samara biotic bubble throw during the suicide mission. I don't know if we'll ever get a screen adaptation but THAT is a moment I would pay to see done with a big SFX budget behind it.

Favorite class: Sentinel! I don't know how much this reflects on my class preference in gaming in general, but I love the 'jack of all trades'ness of it. By the time I get an assault rifle, I don't really feel the need for anyone else to make up for something I lack. Also, tech armor in ME2? Where your shields regenerate automatically when it breaks, and the cool down is when you initially active it, instead of when you detonate it? Chef's kiss. I understand why it was nerfed in 3 but I'm still mad.

Favorite companion: Ho boy. This is obviously very difficult to choose but I'm gonna say Miranda. I've always loved and identified with her character, I love the accent, and she's always useful on missions. I was so happy when I learned she could be a squadmate in the armax arena.

Honorable mention to Ashley in ME1. Her character is rarely used to exposition lore, so she just gets to have her personality fleshed out. I don't always agree with her but she does seem genuinely willing to listen. ME3 tosses her out the airlock though; partially because her content was bugged and never restored, leaving her inclusion feel half-baked, and partly because Ash and Kaidan have to be able to serve the same plot function as each other and it negatively affects her character more than his. This could also be intentional on bioware's part, to try to flesh out kaidan's personality and tone down Ashley's as a response to criticisms of them from ME1.

Least favorite companion: Also difficult, because I don't really hate anyone as much as I am just less interested in some. I didn't like Zaeed for a long time, but I think he's much better and really funny in ME3. James was pushed on me too much at the beginning and it made me really dislike him, but I think he's greatly improved and also pretty funny in Citadel DLC. I'm also pretty indifferent to Jacob; I don't think he's a bad character, just disappointing because there was a lot of potential.

Not that every character has to go on and do some grand quest to be interesting, but I don't feel like Jacob every really got a big hero moment like everyone else. He is a very calm and introverted person (imo) who doesn't really share his feelings, so it's always been hard for to to connect with him on anything.

My squad selection: Depends on the game, but it usually involves Garrus lol. Typically it's Liara/Garrus in ME1, Miranda/Garrus for ME2, and Liara/Garrus again in ME3. I am very boring and predictable! If you have any suggestions for me to try out and mix things up, let me know!

Favorite in-game romance: Also depends on the game. ME1 it's Liara, hands down. It was the first game, really the first piece of media, where I was told two women could fall in love and be happy and that was okay. The amount of enlightenment and comfort in figuring out that I was bi these games brought me is kind of wild to look back on.

ME2 is a toss-up between Garrus and Thane. They are both wonderful but in completely different ways. I tend to now romance Thane on characters I don't plan on importing to ME3, or if I do, to just have a really depressed fucking Shepard lol. I hate how much Thane was brushed off, especially if you romanced him.

Other pairings I like: l love Miranda so much, but I'm a gay girl so I ship her and Femshep. Same goes for Tali, Jack, Ashley... damn I'm just really gay for straight girls huh :/

I don't really have any other ships for non-Shep related pairings.

Favorite NPC: Shiala is really cool to me, I wish we got to see her in 3. Emily Wong is also cool, also wish we saw her in 3. There's probably a lot more that when I come across them next I'll be like, "you! I love you! You're my favorite."

Oh also Joker! And EDI! But not together. Idk I feel like ME3 threw a curveball at me with "do you support organic/non-organic relationships?" Like m'am please don't ask me, I accidentally drank turian liquor last year, I'm not qualified to be an expert on this.

Favorite antagonist: Tbh I really dig Saren. I think his reasoning is super fascinating, both to set up how someone who's indoctrinated can rationalize to themselves that they are still in control; and as a foil to Shepard, to show what can happen when you become too isolated and the ends justify the means. I think his VA does a great job of walking the line between desperate survivor and madman. He's also the only antagonist in the trilogy that we ever fight 1 on 1 (ignoring squadmates) and it feels more personal. I think he's such a fantastic foe for the first entry in a trilogy and I don't think he gets enough credit.

Favorite mission: Is it cliche to say the suicide mission? It's honestly close to perfect. The stakes, the sequencing, the cinematics, the score. Everything works so well.

Favorite loyalty mission: Kasumi's and Tali's are really cool, as we all know. Samara's is also cool because it is entirely non-combat based. Shepard has to prove they can accomplish what seems impossible without a gun or biotics.

The confrontation at the end with Morinth always haunts me a little, because they are both right in their own way. Morinth's final line, "and they say I'm the monster", as you let Samara kill her, watch her scrambling backwards in fear... I know that she's a remorseless killer, but it gets me every time.

Favorite DLC: It's Citadel, obviously. Turns out what I really wanted was quality time and a party with all my friends. I love mass effect for many reasons, but simulating friends and affection when I had none has always made me bond to this series like other games don't. Is it sad? Sure! But I don't think love and affection for fictional characters should ever be shameful until it makes you hurt other people.

Control, Synthesis or Destroy? I'd say destroy. If the other options were presented earlier and we had time to stew with it, maybe I'd be more split. But all of this in 5 minutes? It's not like the collector base where the implications are obvious and the choice is just down to what Shepard believes. The 3 choices all seem like space magic out of nowhere, and none of them seem to really offer any insight on what Shepard should believe. So I say destroy, just because it's what Shep has intended and is most consistent with their character and their admiration of Anderson.

Favorite weapon: The spectre level assault rifle in ME1. Never have I felt more powerful.

Favorite place: Idk why but I just thought of the creepy lab with all the scientists during the leviathan DLC. I really love when Mass Effect leans into the Lovecraftian horror aspect of things. Talking to Sovereign and Vigil in ME1 gave me goosebumps my first few playthroughs.

Max – If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?

Depending on how much it is. if we’re talking at least a million? take the payout (which I think is like....half after taxes) pay off my condo, get more tattoos, probably buy a different place in town with more bedrooms and a garage. Paint my car. I’m really gonna be boring as fuck with money so I can afford to just throw cash at people when they need help. That said, I would also quit my job immediately and go digging around for a place I actually would LOVE to work.

Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: The Maxanne snow scene in 4x08. Also the Flinthamilton reunion in the series finale. I cried.When it really disappointed you: When they didn’t have any Maxanne scenes in the finale. I would say Eleanor’s death but even though that obviously made me sad, I also knew she was going to die eventually from spoilers :(Saddest moment: Eleanor’s death :( And Miranda’s death. Especially with Flint’s reaction to it.Most well done character death: Vane. I know i’m probably biased because I hate him (lol) but I truly do think it was well done.
