This was actually kinda fun to do. I can confirm that throughout the time I was making this, I was listening to CG5’s Sleep Well track.

Don’t ask me why, but it just felt like it fits, especially the lines “Though life in the shadows isn’t much / It’s better than living in a cage.” I was gonna fit the lyrics in but decided not to since it would’ve messed with the stars. (First time I ever switched between different brushes actually. It’s nice.)

The whole song and premise of the Hour of Joy in Poppy Playtime does fit multiple OCs backstories like Isabella, Velia, Attilio, etc/any OC that’ll be an easter egg. (I might just end up tossing Misa somewhere in the future of my 2k3 AU mostly because I’ve been hearing Velia/mama rat saying “You four look an awful lot like the little one we rescued.” And the guys just go see what she’s talking about.)

The glowing flower glows because it contains bioluminescent compounds that produce light. These compounds can create light through a chemical reaction inside the flower. This light production is often used by the flowers to attract pollinators like bees and insects, especially at night when it's dark. The glowing helps the flower stand out and make it easier for the pollinators to find and visit the flower, which is important for the flower's reproduction.

The flowers Misa gave are called Glowingalea and they bloom multiple times a year, perhaps every three months

Donnie looks down in surprise at the little turtle tapping his leg.

"Oh- uhh, hi?" he says. She innocently holds up a tiny fist towards him, something bright and colorful crinkles as she does. A little apprehensively he holds out his hand for her. She drops a few candies into his palm.

"Oh! Thanks-" she runs off quickly with a little laugh, apparently satisfied and off to who knows where.

Sam worries her bottom lip. "She's pretty small to be running around by herself, do you suppose someone might be looking for her?"

"I have noticed a pattern of unattended children," Tuvok answers, "it is possible the the crossing between dimension was not as smooth for others, and many could have been separated from their guardians."

This of course did nothing to soothe the worried look on Sam's face.

Tuvok doesn't notice this, and instead passes the tricorder scanner over the candy in Donnie's palm. "The food is safe to consume."

"... Why would a child be handing out poison candy?" Donnie asks incredulously. "You know what, nevermind, I don't even want to know the logic behind that one."

He unwraps a candy and pops it in his mouth as he continues to weave through the crowd. It's delicious.
