Aussie here. Speaking of monitors, several years ago we found a goanna had burrowed into the pile of horse dung on the farm I worked at, to take a wee poop nap. He was living his gross little truth and I have to respect it.

I love goannas they're so disgusting. No joke the very first time I visited friends in Australia we saw one doing the same exact thing. It's actually a pretty decent way to cool down if they don't have a burrow nearby, too. Those monitors love poop.

Y'know, at least they're straightforward about their gross habits, unlike my last ex-boyfriend.

i had like a really normal day where i opened tumblr after work to check my notifs and found that my favorite dnd podcast had followed me (hi @diceshamepodcast)

i'm not sure i've ever actually drawn podcast fanart before but here's a real quick and dirty attempt at a Jack because i felt like i had to do something. i dearly love all the characters in this show but i have a real soft spot for wizards. and archaeologists. and golden retrievers wearing boots.

They beg me for cactus and block the exit of their enclosure with their 250 to 500 United States pounds so I cannot escape.

1 year ago exactly police officers and bailiffs were coming to kick me and my family out and this and the 2 months we spent moving out every week since we had no home wasn't easy but hey i'm still there and now i have a home and a bedroom, and i'm slowly regaining stability!! :) I haven't been able to do much this year because of this whole mess and because i'm slow to getting use,, to life again idk if it makes sense; but i've been able to start seeing a therapist again! Next year i will try to do more, but i'm already proud of me

#i kinda hate that i can easily remember the date #because from december 1st it's the beginning of the cyclone season #and landlords can't kick out anyone during that season #which just means they do it the day before #which is fucked up #this isn't a good memory at all but i'm trying to find positive! #Sometimes i can miss my old home #the house was shitty but aah idk i liked it #there was so many holes in the roof that many animals would come into my room #i had a snake once that came to eat a lizard and left as soon as it was done lol #i had so many lizards.. i miss them even if at least once a week one them would poop on me :(( #there are lizards on this appartment too but way less #ok i talked too much lol sry bye

When I have my own cat in the future that motherfucker is going to be inside only. I woke up last night to two cats gearing up for a fight. 15 minutes of the loudest yowling I’ve ever heard. If you have a cat and you allow it to be an outside cat you’re selfish and a bad pet owner, period.
