sans here! gonna figure out tags, aesthetics, etc etc as i set up this account. the goal is to post snippets of theresa's appearances in comics, and also share fan creations i adore for her. i also will be talking about her here in general and maybe share my personal hcs and creations for it.

there will be biases for sure but since this blog will center around terry's comics, all will be presented in an ambivalent way. i wanna try to keep this a safe and happy space. i started this blog because i struggle so hard to find terry's comics or art online, that maybe creating my own screenshots will help + i miss her so bad.

i'm a lornaterry shipper first and foremost, but you may see terry/jamie and terry/james here too of course.

five times drabble prompt @magnetress​ sent five times kissed

1.

THE FIRST TIME she kisses her it’s goodbye. lorna’s barely conscious but every movement she makes in her sleep seems tortured. whatever she learned about her parents was so traumatizing, she couldn’t snap herself out of it --and alex was appearing to have little luck on that front too. but seeing her so tormented feels like a knife straight into her heart --she, more than most, knows just what a broken heart can do to the psyche. 

the nights seem lonelier than ever, especially when your thoughts are all that’s loud and clear. and she’s already lost too damn much to say goodbye to lorna. so it’s that moment she realizes her choice is clear: take the morrigan up on her offer if it means saving lorna. 

it’s a selflessness she wasn’t sure she was even capable of --especially not after the death of her son. 

❛ i’ll make this right for you. ❜ she whispers, leaning over her bed just to kiss her forehead. and for a moment, she wonders if this is what love is --not to be in love with someone, she’s felt that-- but to actually love someone. to care for them, to put their happiness above yours and save them from the demons that ail you. if her life as she knows it ends today, at least she dies knowing lorna is alive and well. 

2. 

THEIR REUNION IS HARDLY SWEET and she’ll be the first to admit she kind of stoked the fires by shaking off all of lorna’s attempts to save her from the mess she’d created. but death was her burden --and she took it on to save her. she’s still saving her. because even on a deathless island, if the monster craves death, she refuses to let it be anyone else’s but her own. her mess. her burden. and it was worth it because even if her deal with the morrigan went south, lorna being alive was proof her decision to merge with a goddess in the first place was the right thing. 

trying to dodge her was tricky --how do you lie to the face of someone who’s known you for years? so she pushes her away out of fear, pulling her off her tracks until x-factor cracks the code entirely. and once she’s free of her divine burden, she almost feels guilty for the way she’d been so cagey.

months go by and instead of pushing her away, she clings to her now. divinity was no longer a curse haunting her, but what they’d both lived through still kept each other up at night. and when she can’t seem to put the bottle down even after the morrigan is out of her life, it drives her straight to her. the kiss is messy and far from graceful, the product of poor impulse control from someone was not in the right headspace to elaborate on those desires. 

3.

SHE’S NOT GOOD at giving her heart away --she’s never been. and the more she stays here, the more feelings lorna seems to dig out of her heavily guarded heart. running was always the easiest choice --it was the safe choice. and she’d been avoiding the “lets talk about you getting drunk and kissing me” conversation for so long. 

finding her training out front was the last thing she expected --mostly because lorna’s always had this effortless air of coolness to her. like she knows who she is and what she’s capable of already. but this x-factor team seemed to change her, like she’d been rocked off her game. maybe seeing hundreds of dead bodies a day would do that to you. for a moment she just watches her, the way her brow creases when she’s concentrating on lifting an object, how effortless she makes it all look. it’s captivating, but her head gets pulled out of the clouds when she opens herself up to get hit by opponent. the battle bot she was sparring with shuts down immediately but she still makes her way over to her on impulse.

she asks if she’s ok, one hand on the small of her back as she tries to keep her upright. its the proximity thats intoxicating and for a moment, it seems like both of them forgot lorna’d just been hurt --all that mattered was the only two people in the world: them. she doesn’t need to think about it, pure instinct kicking in as she leans in just that extra bit to kiss her. terry’s always been impulsive and she knows it’s not the first time she’s thrown herself at someone --but this felt different. the kiss is soft and the silent honesty of it makes her feel like it’s the most intimate moment of her life.

but when lorna brings up talking about that one too, she bolts, the feeling of her lips against hers imprinted into her memory. 

4. 

SHE DOESN’T DO EMOTIONS. lorna seems eager to talk about the obvious tension they’d been building for the last few months and for theresa, the thought of that kind of vulnerability makes her want to run. love doesn’t work --relationships are built up just to be torn down. and someone like her with baggage for days just isn’t built to be someone loved long term. people always leave and one day...lorna would leave her too. 

so she picks a cure for what ails her, thinking she’s confused a physical desire with an emotional longing. sex is easy, it’s always been the easiest part of any regretful relationship she’s gotten herself into. it’s release --and maybe, once she worked this out of her system she could finally just move on. they both could. 

but even the sex feels more like a promise, her gentler nature coaxed out naturally by the softness of her voice every time she says her name. what starts rushed and needy turns into tender kisses and hushed sweet nothings. and when all is said and done, she watches the easy rise and fall of her chest, committing the moment to memory before she slips out of her bedroom and makes her way to sleep on the couch instead. 

5. 

YOU CAN ONLY PUT SOMEONE OFF FOR SO LONG. and lorna’s more perceptive than most --especially when it comes to her. it’s hard to dodge the conversation when the other party knows you so well they already expect the rebuttal you’re about to give. people don’t give her enough credit for it, but lorna is strictly no nonsense and maybe terry’d been wearing out her “bullshit meter” since she got here and refused to address the elephant in the room. 

being put on the spot is as horrifying as it gets, especially because everything she’s saying about her is so painfully true. “you’re afraid of commitment,” “you’re afraid to be happy,” “you keep planning on people leaving you and you combat it by leaving us first.” to be known so intricately is a terrifying thing and sometimes, she feels as though lorna knows the deepest parts of her soul. the parts she’s still too afraid to learn about herself. 

she cuts her own insecurity, forcing herself to forget for a moment that anyone else exists. it’s just them --and lorna’s pretty much got her read to rights on her analysis of her. the tears that fall are fresh but they sting like the coldness of reality. 

so she cracks and she tells her she’s right. that she’s scared of commitment, terrified of vulnerability, and paralyzes herself with the fear of abandonment.  ❛ you’re right but i want you. i want you so bad i don’t even know what to do with myself. ❜ she says and it’s the most honest thing she’d said in months. faith is hard to restore, but faith in lorna was the only thing that’d never been shaken, she realizes. and when she kisses her this time, it’s not an apology, it’s a vow. a vow to be better...a vow to try.

❛ she’s the light at the end of the tunnel, a drop of water in the middle of the desert. the sun rises and sets with her. for all she goes through, she does it with a grace i’ve always admired. i know she doesn’t always think of herself as being special, but there’s no one more gorgeous than she is --when she enters the room she’s all you can focus on. the whole world could fall in love with the kindness in her heart...and i think i have, but i don’t know how to say it. ❜

SHE’S NO STRANGER TO SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, though they seemed to come less often since she started staying in the boneyard. in her heart, she knows it’s not because of where she is, but because of who she’s with. lorna has a way of calming the storm, wrapping her arms around her and becoming a shelter from it all. and no matter how many nights she stays here or how happy she makes her, she just can’t seem to feel like she deserves it. 

she can play dumb as long as she wants and ignore the truth that’s right in front of them every time lorna asks, but they both know there’s more to their relationship than just being roommates. sometimes she feels guilty for it, boxing her out from the truth of her feelings out of fear. 

her nightmares remind her of what it was like to be alone, trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth without anyone knowing. when she feels her heart rate spike, she opts against the decision to wake up the woman sleeping next to her. she’s so peaceful, so unbothered. and she knows she’s been keeping her in the dark for months but in the quiet of the night, vulnerability doesn’t seem so nightmarish and the truth isn’t that hard to break open. 

so she says it while she can’t hear her, voice quiet as she watches her sleep.

❛ i wanna deserve you...but i’m scared that i’ll ruin it the way i’ve ruined every other good thing in my life. and even if i don’t want to be this scared of feelin’ this way...i am. cause loving you is easy --and i do, i love you-- i’m just scared to say it and make it real. scared to lose it. and maybe if you saw all those dark parts of me...my mistakes...you wouldn’t feel it anymore. ❜
