i have this on my draft for a while a thread of some specific zorobin images, panels or scenes because they are so good together and my shipper's brain is working overtime so there's that. 😅💚💜⚔️🌸

Exhibit 1:

if not endgame, why drew them like this? this is such a husband/wife stance with their kid.

a family portrait - zoro looking like a serious dad, robin an obedient wife - she's in heels that's why she couldn't sit all the way with her feet tucked underneath like a traditional wife. and chopper as their son with his cute little bagpack. they're so effing married y'all. 😭

oda is playing with my shipper's heart. 🥲

Exhibit 2.

them playing Go from One Piece opening 12. a game which originated in asia mostly known and popular in china, japan, and korea.

since zoro is japanese and robin is russian we can guess that zoro asked robin to play with him. robin beating him is so funny even the dog pity him. lol 😂

i can't, toie!!!! why would you animate them like a normal couple whose having a fun and casual date!!!!

Exhibit 3.

another images of them looking like a husband and wife with their daughter.

this shot is very intentional and targets me for some reason. 😉🤔

toko is more connected to zorobin but why toie intentionally placed tama in the middle? tama's motif is green + purple zorobin's color and here she's looking more like their daughter. carrot's yukata is yellow-green with more greenish design - she's slightly far back and thin that you cant even notice her at first glance and the focus is more with zorobin + tama here.

if you are familiar with the rule of thirds in filmmaking some shots are purposely done for emphasis and show relations between subjects/objects in a frame.

to have a visual comparison, see sanami + toko and luffy/brook/chopper - the colors do not look harmonious. they were intentionally groups in 3s. carrot is straight behind tama that they look like one person.

sanami in the shot above parallel zorobin with a kid placed in between them. also, both couples in each sides of the picture.

while toko'a motif is red + pink, matching lunami in this pic. luffy yukata red + blue, nami's sky blue + pink patterns. for visualization, exchange luffy with sanji and you'll see what i mean with the colors matching the clothes.

anyway, someone in the animation dept is definitely hiding as a zorobin shipper for sure. 😂🤭🤫

Exhibit 4:

specific images drawn originally in opposite positions or away from each other but if you flip and edited together they just happened to fit so well. ain't that too convenient 🥹🤔🤭

i found them on pinterest and i was like why does this image fit so well without trying to. kudos to the original editor. 🥰😍

see the difference? the other characters, if you rearrange them it will look jarring and will not have the same effect.

while zorobin over here looks pretty cozy in hindsight. you'll never know that it's not the original image.

oda intentionally drew them like this and thought we wouldn't notice. 🤔😎🤭

Exhibit 5:

when i saw this one, i had to double take cos i really thought robin was holding zoro's arm. her head slightly leaning over to his shoulder.

toie, you ship-baiting sons of b@#$! had me screaming zorobin confirmed for a hot second. 🥲🫠

Exhibit 6:

the classic hero and damsel trope

the original image was with other characters but if you isolate, the emphasis on these two was undeniable.

take note of the placement of the characters to one another. their facial expressions and body language.

zoro in a crouching stance with his swords drawn across and his face serious. robin's beside him looking sad with her hood on.

the hero is angry serious and his troubled damsel.

oda's no-romance-among-the-crew but keep drawing zorobin with subtle lover undertones will be the death of me. 🙄😫🤡

if this is not one piece, this image on the right is a common trope in storytelling mostly seen in movie posters or book covers. right in the center is the hero and then the woman at the side is the love interest.

and mind you this image is a cover spread during the enies lobby where robin bares her heart and the strawhats save her. and who got the last key that "freed" her?*cough*zoro*cough*

in my mind, all the images above are just so intentional that my instinct will point yup that's otp for sure. 😂🤭😅🤫🥲🤔

anyway, this thread is 60% side comments, 10% attempt to do an analysis, 30% blaming oda/toie for being such a tease and shipbaiter.

So..we ‘ve waste the time for introduce of Raizo and Momonosuke ‘s birthplace in many chapters and we started continue again before this group separated to Wano and WCI

Luffy glad that King’s dogs and King’s cat have reconcile and they know how to find ONE PIECE ,Luffy would like to started the banquet again but Nami stopped it

Seem like this panel be Lunami moment but if we read it carefully , Nami does not acquiesce for Luffy started the banquet and joined in the banquet with him. She thinks that it’s wasted the time to save Sanji. She want Luffy started to set sail again

I compared with Nami in skypea arc , She feared for the dangerous and she said that the specially thing is her life and money

when Sanji ask then the special thing followed is him? Nami punched at Sanji and said “shut up” She does not answer to him but Zou arc and WCI arc we can see Nami’s answer for the important thing of her

 Luffy ask Nami why are you.... because Luffy knows that however she don’t want to risk in crisis situation 

but Nami said like to confirm that she want going with him ,I know Oda hidden Nami face in this panel but we can guess she’s blushed

If we see Nami’s attitude in Skypea arc, Yes ,Differently . She only stayed and waiting at Zou or going with Zoro’s team . I think that Pekom he can be the navigator because he used to came along with Baron Tamako  .but Nami offered herself to going with Luffy ,Those things show that she want to save Sanji,too

And the horrible time started on Sunny , that Luffy offered himself to be the cook instead of Sanji

In the panel in up, when the crews can’t eat Luffy’ s foods , I think Nami who the person to said” Sanji would be so mad if he saw how much food  you wasted” because the panel in next , Nami will worried for the food’s stock and she immediately checking in food store. And she found that almost foods ‘ll destroy by the cook Luffy

After when they ‘re be the hunger and very hungry .while Luffy unconscious by fish’s poisons. Nami will cooking fish by Sanji’s recipe and she so proud for followed his recipe

Nami and “Dorobou Neko"

So lately it’s been brought back into discussion that Nami’s nickname Dorobou Neko (translated to cat-burglar) might possibly come to use again. I’ve seen some talk about it already, but feel like adding my own thoughts since the debate has been pretty heated.

First let’s just look at what the nickname can stand for. The term Dorobou Neko can be used to describe women in Japan that are accused for stealing someone’s husband or lover.

“The Japanese use the term for women who steal other women’s husbands but the term doesn’t apply to men who steal wives! One male native speaker wonders whether husband-stealers have come to be called cats because women’s seduction of men is like the meek way in which cats sneak into houses.”

Since the very beginning of the Sanji’s arc when it was announced that he was leaving to be wed a lot of SaNami shippers started to speculate if Oda possibly would use the double meaning of Nami’s epithet. Especially after we knew she was actually going with Luffy to bring Sanji back it became a rather interesting topic for us.

Oda has called Nami Dorobou Neko since very early on, and what’s even more noteworthy is that he actually already used it in the sense of a “Husband Stealer” in the Thriller Bark arc with Absalom and Lola. We’ve also seen quite a few parallels between Whole Cake Island and Thriller Bark, even with Lola herself reappearing in the story. So of course SaNami shippers kept on speculating about the epithet possibly becoming relevant in this sense again.

With Sanji being called “Mr. Husband” recently the thought has resurfaced.

However, apparently it needs to be explained that just because SaNami shippers see the possibility of the nickname being used in relation to Nami and Sanji and Purin, that does not mean that we view Nami as an actual husband stealer.

First, Purin and Sanji are not married. They’re not even in a relationship. So it would be impossible for Nami to be an actual husband stealer or “homewrecker”.

That is not what we are saying. Neither does the use of Nami’s nickname in relation to coming in between Sanji and Purin have to mean that it is something that Nami does on purpose. She doesn’t have to be in love with Sanji or actually actively try to “steal him” from Purin.

That’s not how Oda used it with Absalom and I doubt that’s how he would use it with Sanji if he actually decided to use it again.

In fact, the nickname would most likely (if used at all) be an accusation from a third party. I don’t even think Purin would be the one to use it, despite it being possible in her “evil” mode. A lot of people already saw the panel of Purin reacting to Sanji carrying Nami as possible jealousy. So it’s not completely impossible that Oda would write something similar with Nami again to get such a reaction from Purin.

However, I do not think Purin would say this, since she is aware that Sanji is in fact not her husband. No, it is then much more likely that perhaps one of the chefs or some third party would accuse Nami and use the nickname. Since they actually think Purin and Sanji are married there could arise such a situation when Nami and the rest meets up with Sanji and Purin.

Oda even used this joke from Sanji recently.

Nami doesn’t have to do much for Sanji to fawn over her, and if he loses his cool it’s possible Oda could write in Nami being called Cat Burglar, most likely as a joke. Meaning that Nami wouldn’t have to do a single actual “stealing” or “home wrecking” action for her to be called a husband stealer. Just like with Thriller Bark it would more likely just be a small misunderstanding or over reaction.

It would not reflect badly on Nami in any way but perhaps how the “bad guys” would see her. And all the strawhats have been accused wrongly by their enemies plenty of times. Nami herself has already been accused of this once and it’s not like that actually reflects her image or personality.

I’m pretty sure the SaNami community doesn’t talk about this theory because we think that Nami would actually step in and literally steal Sanji from Purin. Which again, wouldn’t even be possible since Sanji doesn’t “belong” to Purin to begin with. And even more so since Purin is actually on their side...

So, that being said us talking about Nami’s epithet being used does not mean we see Nami as a prize or as a homewrecker. It does not reflect on Nami’s character any more than how their enemies can see the strawhats as bad. Oda writing about the Vinsmoke’s talking about Nami as if she’s a whore doesn’t make her one, and neither would anyone calling her a Husband Stealer actually make her into one.

So I’m going to ask the LuNami community, something I generally avoid, do you really think we are so shallow that we simply see Nami as Sanji’s toy? Or as a plot-device for shipping? Do you really believe that we hate or care so little about her as an individual character? Personally I love Nami and I love One Piece as a whole. I’m not just a shipper, I’m a reader and a fan of One Piece first, as I assume most shippers are.

Or for that matter we don’t see Sanji like this either. We’re not using Sanji as some thing that either belongs to Nami or Purin. It’s speculation about Oda possibly using the double meaning of Nami’s nickname again. Not about Nami actually coming in between Sanji and Purin acting like Sanji is hers. That is not at all what this discussion is about, so please if you think something is wrong then feel free to ask or explain what you think before labeling a whole group as shallow and disgusting.

I know not all LuNa shippers can possibly think that the whole SaNami fandom is toxic and delusional, just like we don’t think the same about all LuNa shippers.

So here I invite you to message me and let me know what you really think. Because personally I feel like this topic has been way bent out of proportion.

Also this is not an invite for a fanwar. Please be polite and understand that not everyone has the same view as you.

Hi, may I know from what chapter that Luffy only remember about Nami's disappearance in Sabaody arc? As I remember, I read an analysis from Lunami fans (didn't remember who) about Luffy only remember Nami. In manga panel, it's only show Nami disappearance, not other member. You know what, after read new one piece chapter, my confident for sanji x nami already confirm. If Oda really want to make romance between strawhat, it'll be them, sana. Not lunami, zona or even franbin. Do you saw how sanji catch her, it is bridal style and how we got "three panel" just to show sanji catch nami, and how pudding seems jealous after that scene, just show that this scene is something romantic. Even non shipper also focus in that scene and how pudding jealous after that.

I don't know about romance in the end. Personally I'll just go with the notion that there's no romance in the end. That said well that is a nice catch and all, though I don't think it's that serious on Nami's side because well it's not. Think it as this: if one sticks in the mindset of friend, nothing will advance.I don't know if Oda is going with the idea of Pudding being jealous. Sometimes they just use a moment to lead to something more so than actual intention like romance. I'm not denying the moment but because of neutral zone this series is, I wouldn't let it get to me.

Sometimes...just sometimes I wish Luffy x Nami was as blatantly obvious like Natsu and Lucy in Fairy Tail. When arguing our ship case; Lunami : So in this chapter if you go to page 15 and look at the bottom right panel. You will see what looks like a vague expression Nami is making, but ACTUALLY it represents the concern and worry she has for luffy which shows how much they cares for each other which is also/maybe related to love and .....
