Chances are, if you're seeing this for the first time, you probably think this is a coat hanger. I'd know - thought it was too! This is the Maximum Advantage Grip pulldown bar. I've only been using it for a few weeks; but I can say it's become a staple in my back training. One of the single biggest problems with the traditional #latpulldown is that your grip might possibly give out as you perform your sets. Your wrists will lose there desired partial state of #flexion, causing you the lifter discomfort; and you'll find yourself inadvertently using more of your arms in the exercise instead of your back. Therefore, your back training suffers. The job of the MAG Grip bar is to keep your wrists in the desired partial state of flexion that it loses as they slip off traditional pulldown bars. Quick reminder for #talllifters and #lankylifters:. #rangeofmotion is NOT always your friend. You read that correctly. Regardless of your individual goals, the formula for work is still force x DISTANCE. With that in mind, remember that if you're long limbed and use your whole ROM, you can tire yourself out sooner than you'd like, and therefore miss out on some #reps, and maybe even some PRs. That's why I never let my elbows fully extend when I perform any push exercise and most pull exercises. Here's my last #neutralgriplatpulldown set of 100x20 using the #maggrips bar.
