the funny thing is this is a fandom with a subset of people (including this mutual and the acebigot) who pride themselves on calling out all the bull of toxic fandom like racism and sexism and stuff and while I'm not comparing apples to oranges here, it's just amazing that virulent acebigotry doesn't count as "toxic behavior" and people who espouse it get spread around and championed lol (and by amazing I mean immensely painful but eh, you get tough skin)

Well, that's why it's a double standard isn't it. Calling out bigoted behaviour until it targets a group you hate too.
