In addition to Carmilla and White, Dhazari also has a facility guardian appear behind her: Plargg, Dean of Chaos from Lorehold Rin's mom rushes to him, hugs him, and offers him sandwiches from a basket Rin's dad says hello Rin's mom explains that they had heard about the parent-teacher meeting from Bec, and that the academy teleported them there Rin's mom comments on how cold it is and how cold Rin is Rin's dad suggests that it is because the air is cooled either by machines or magic Doya locks eyes with her mom Doya's mom approaches, fixes Doya's hair, and tells her that it's been a while Doya shows off her aced exam Her mom is surprised and impressed Zoey's parents get everyone's attention Zoey rushes to hug them, She rapidly talks to them as she shows them to her desk Rin introduces his parents to the other parents Rin's mom appreciates Guillermo and Nandor Rin's dad shakes Doya's mom's hand, and frees Doya from her grasp Deans Tullus and Kol gather the attention of the parents of our group, and start talking to them about the academy Our group notice a tall owlin woman talk to Shuvadri They also spot well-dressed woman with many wings in her hair talk to Angelika They also see a pale woman with prefect makeup dressed in black talk to Aurora Doya approaches Pain, and asks about his parents Pain comments that he doesn't see them, and that he's glad that they aren't there Carmilla asks Nicollin about his parents Nicollin points out a balding man who keeps bumping into everyone as he goes up and down the walkway of the classroom Nicollin shows Carmilla paintings of each of his family members, and talks about them in great detail Nicollin's dad introduces himself to our group, and washes his hands after shaking each of their hands He then joins our group's parents in conversation Our group goes to talk to Aurora Aurora introduces her mom to the group Aurora's mom comments on Guillermo and Nandor She asks Rin which sector in Valtahost he's from She tries to hide her disgust when he says Sector 7 She asks what he thinks of Lux Concordia He admits that it is too bright

Doya talks to Dhazari, and asks Plargg is her dad Dhazari denies it, and explains that he is her faculty guardian She agrees when Doya asks if her family is far away Zoey goes to talk to Haru and Melwythorne She finds Haru speaking in Shitari to her mom, who looks like a large bee Haru's mom and Zoey bond over their similar hair colors, with Haru acting as a translator Zoey talks to Melwythorne next, who tells Zoey that his faculty guardian will be there soon He goes to the window, where Carmilla and Zoey see one of the trees approach the window! The tree introduces herself as Professor Willowdusk of Witherbloom, and Melwythorne's surrogate parent at the academy She sends squirrels to shake Carmilla and Zoey's hands She mentions that she heard that Zoey was Melwythorne's friend in silkball Rin talks to Ethel, and stopped when her and Vladimir's parents approach They recognize Rin from their dinner with their family Vladimir's parents drag Vladimir to join in the conversation Vladimir's parents explain to Ethel's parents that Rin is family, in an odd way Ethel's dad asks if Rin likes fishing Rin differentiates himself from his adventurer brother Doya goes to get her mom to speak to the Angels Along the way she sees Larine's mother fixing her hair, and Rubina's mom strictly talking to her She also notices Quentillius Antiphiun Melentor III's dad, who looks like a pirate, and goes to talk to him Quentillius Antiphiun Melentor II asks if Doya is Doya or Roman right now Doya is upset at Quentillius III Quentillius II explains that his son shares everything with him, but that he'll keep Doya's secret Doya asks about his attire Quentillius II tells her that he isn't actually a pirate, but merely researching one for his role in a play based on a book called the Tomb of Annihilation He signs a copy of the book, and hands it to her He mentions that Quentillius Antiphiun Melentor I was also an actor, but that the newer generations of the family were branching out into new areas Zoey approaches Larksann, and finds her and her dad looking over her backpack Larksann's dad asks Zoey about Larksann Zoey assures him that Larksann is the best roommate ever Larksann's dad asks if Zoey is an engineer Zoey tells him that she is not, but is a musician Larksann's dad comments on Larksann's own musical abilities, and that he had heard she participated in the talent show Zoey confirms that she did, and praises her abilities Larksann melts into a puddle

Rosimy's grandma attempts to calm Rosimy down with cookies She asks Carmilla about Rosimy Carmilla tells her that Rosimy is a friend, and had her considering joining the LARP club Rosimy's grandma offer Carmilla and Zoey cookies As Carmilla and Zoey return towards their seats, they see Puffcap's mom showing Puffcap a toad Puffcap's mom feeds Guillermo and Nandor, and shows Zoey the toad, which is named Bubbles Doya takes her mom over towards the Angels Doya's mom recognizes Angelika's mom, and is shocked that Doya goes to the same school as her Angelika's mom, notices the two and starts talking to Doya's mom She comments on Doya's mom's employer Doya's mom assures Angelika's mom that she is doing damage control Doya wonders how working for a charity could be that hard Angelika notices Doya, and the two stare each other down Their moms begin to brag about their daughters to each other Angelique's mom enters the fray, and asks about Doya's grades She comments that Doya could have done better Anjarika's "mom" enters the conversation and hugs everyone Doya asks Anji if that's her mom Anji denies it, explaining that that is one of her step-moms Anji is annoyed that she is here The moms of the Angels and Doya's mom start talking, giving Doya and the Angels a chance to escape Doya asks about Anji's dad Anji is glad he didn't show up Angelika demands to know why Doya brought their moms together Doya admits that she didn't know that they knew each other Zoey tries to talk to her parents She is interrupted by the Angels, who introduce themselves to her parents as her best friends Rin sees Zanther talking to his equally sporty dad, and Cad talking to his stoic dad He also spots Chadriz's dad kicking him out of his chair and bossing him around Rin checks up on Sunny Sunny admits that he doesn't know if his parents will be coming Rin explains he was checking up on him since they agreed earlier not to discuss family Rin's parents approach, and introduce themselves to Sunny Sunny makes some jokes, and offers to let them eat at his family's restaurant for a discount Sunny's dad enters the room Carmilla feels fear Sunny's dad approaches Sunny, but spots Carmilla on the way He greets her, and comments that he noticed her in the talent show Dean Kol interposes himself between the two, and tells Sunny's dad not to talk to Carmilla Dean Kol introduces himself to Sunny's dad, and warns him that it'll be the last he thinks before he dies if he does not back off from Carmilla Carmilla asks Dean Kol in another language what that was about After deciding on a language to use, Dean Kol warns her to stay away from the Sierraverdes He asks if she has been in contact with them Carmilla dodges the question Dean Kol orders her to stop visiting them, and tells her that she knows better Professor Sharpbeak speaks up, and explains that the parent-teacher part of the meetings was about to begin She excuses all of the students, who file out of the room Our group reunite, and discuss what happened Rin comments that Sunny made a mistake inviting his parents Carmilla wonders what he means by that

Rin explains that there was some history between his family and Sunny's Carmilla demands to know what he means by that Rin tells her that it's a secret Carmilla insists, explaining that friends tell friends secrets Rin mentions that his brother was in trouble with them, but refuses to divulge more Carmilla wants to know more Rin asks to speak about it somewhere more private Our group goes to Rin's room Rin insists on not giving out much information Carmilla admits that she was raised about the Sierraverdes, and that she has personal stakes in this She asks if Rin's brother caused the explosion Rin tells her that his brother did not, and that the person who did lied to both his brother and the Sierraverdes He adds that that person is also dead The conversation shifts to Carmilla's house Carmilla insists that she needs to take care of it The rest of our group insists that the Sierraverdes would take care of it if she didn't The group start discussing the various parents they saw Doya comments that Zoey's parents are hot Zoey is scandalized The rest of the group agree with Doya Zoey asks if she's hot too Our group discuss how nice Rin's parents are They talk about the other parents they saw, including the Angel's parents The group realize that they should probably go back to the classroom, since they might be needed again soon Our group return to the classroom, and find the other students waiting outside Zoey asks if she overwhelmed Larksann earlier Larksann assures Zoey that she did not, but mentions being surprised about the Talent Show talk Zoey tells Larksann that she should be proud of herself Carmilla talks to Aurora, who admits that her mom is embarrassing Carmilla asks if Aurora's mom is a full vampire Aurora wonders why Carmilla really wants to know that She doesn't answer the question, but comments on how creepy Carmilla's guardian is Doya checks up on Pain Pain admits that he's bored with all of this Doya offers to introduce him to her mom Pain wonders if Doya's mom would hate him Doya assures him that she would not The students are let back into the classroom by Professor Sharpbeak Carmilla shows Dean Kol a deed that a random student gave her Dean Kol is confused, but takes the deed to hold onto Doya's mom scolds Doya for failing a test Doya explains that she was sick and tired Doya's mom counters that Doya needs to take care of herself Doya rushes out to get something Professor Sharpbeak speaks up, explaining that the meetings were officially over Doya rushes back in to her seat

She mentions that the academy will teleport all of the parents home when they are ready She goes on to describe how this year's students have made good impacts in their clubs and jobs She asks that the parents stick around to help their children pack up for summer break She then introduces Archjusticar Yasha, who appears before the class! Yasha remains silent for a few minutes, before telling the class that Professor Sharpbeak already said most of what needed to be said She tells the parents that their kids will be the next generation of heroes and scholars She warns that this won't be easy for them, and but that they knew that She tells them that she hopes to see their children for next month's classes, and that they're free to go Doya approaches each of the parents, and offers to take pictures of them with their kids Carmilla asks how long Dean Kol has been at the Academy Dean Kol tells her that he's been there longer for everyone except Professor Willowdusk Carmilla asks Dean Kol if he'd like to celebrate Light Day Dean Kol tells her that he normally doesn't, but asks if its important to her Carmilla tells him it is Dean Kol agrees to Zoey approaches Professor Sharpbeak, and asks if she can delay being teleported home Sharpbeak tells her that's possible Zoey instantly asks her parents if she can stay behind for Light Day They're hesitant, but agree Carmilla approaches Zoey, and gets her attention Zoey introduces Carmilla to her parents as her girlfriend Zoey dies on the inside when Sharpbeak speaks up since Zoey forgot to walk away before having these conversations Zoey's parents offer to get to know Carmilla over lunch The parents and students begin to file out of the classroom Professor Sharpbeak asks that our group and their parents stay behind Archjusticar Yasha asks that our group and their parents speak to her Yasha introduces herself to the parents Zoey's mom asks if Yasha's an elf Yasha explains that she is an Eladrin, not an elf Yasha speaks to our groups parents, and explains that Wyrm Academy is full of dangers Rin's mom ask what the dangers are Yasha tells her and the other parents that magic is unstable, and that its study is naturally dangerous She goes on to tell them that their children are more than capable, and managed to even help a professor She informs them that their kids aren't perfect, but are shaping up to be Yasha dismisses our group and their parents Our group sigh in relief that they aren't in trouble

Session #16 - The Doppelgänger Disaster (Among Us) One-Shot

June 20th, 2023

Doya stands before Angelika's open grave She gives a eulogy about Angelika's untimely demise She explains that Angelika's death is okay because she will be succeeded by someone more pretty, smart, and popular - Doya herself As the grave is filled, Doya adds that there are no flowers because those are too expensive As the funeral draws to a close, an earthquake begins a storm forms above her Angelika's hand erupts from the ground, and snaps in front of her face Angelika's hand turns into Carmilla's, as Doya awakes from her daydream to see Carmilla trying to get her attention Professor Sharpbeak asks who in the class doesn't already knows the rules She brings out a chest of props from the theater She explains that the goal of the game for most of the class is to find the doppelgängers in the "village", and the goal of the doppelgängers is to kill enough villagers until they are in the majority The game consists of rounds marked as days At the end of each day, the village can vote and execute one of their members After that, a night will occur, and doppelgängers can kill one villager each There are three special villagers: A paladin that can protect other students, a diviner who can determine the role of another student, and a hunter that will kill a chosen target if they are killed by a doppelgänger The students approach the chest of props, and dress up for the game Carmilla dresses as a mummy, Doya as a knight, White as a judge, Zoey as a vampire, and Rin as himself As they return to their seats, the game begins! DAY 1 Angelique asks who the paladin is and Zoey admits she is, Angelika and Doya start an argument, Haru panics, Rubina tries to organize the students DAY 2 Greta, Grayson, Larine, Rampart, and Zanther are found dead Javenesh claims to be the diviner and says White is innocent, Zoey admits to protecting Angelique, Angelika and Rubina bicker, the class is uncertain who to vote on, and decide not to DAY 3 Anji, Angelique, Chad, and Nicollin are found dead Cad gets mad at Pain who claims that Chad died because he tried to frame Pain, Doya points her fingers at Angelika who argues more with Rubina Four students are selected as suspicious: Cad, Doya, Pain, and Rubina The class votes, and Rubina is executed DAY 4 Larksann, Rosimy, and Zoey are found dead The class realizes that Javenesh will not survive the night, White asks Quentillius Antiphiun Melentor III his opinion, Quentillius offers his advice but insists the group guess The class votes, and Ethel is executed DAY 5 Carmilla, Haru, and Javenesh are found dead The class wonders if Quentillius can be trusted, Doya tries to blame Angelika, Quentillius claims to be the real diviner and claims Aurora is innocent The class votes, and Cad is executed DAY 6 Aurora, Doya, and Quentillius are found dead Angelika claims her innocence, White asks who voted for who, Tilana lies The class votes, and Tilana is executed DAY 7 Angelika and Vladimir are found dead The class has nothing to go off of, White forms a line-up The class votes, and Rin is executed DAY 8 Sunny is found dead The class scrambles to find out who is guilty The class votes, and Puffcap is executed DAY 9 Pain is found dead As the class discuss what to do, lava begins to fill the room! The students hurry to vote, and Melwythorne is executed Dhazari approaches Shuvadri, kills her, before walking up to White and ending him As the illusion fades, Professor Sharpbeak congratulates the doppelgängers for winning, and asks them to go to the front of the class Dhazari, Doya, Ethel, Rin, and Rubina are revealed as the doppelgängers Javenesh was the diviner, Aurora was the hunter, and Zoey is the paladin

The owlit, named Javenesh, tells the group that he's trying to tell the tree person, named Melwythorne, to help his team He asks who in the group is interested in Silkball He assumes it's Doya, and surprised when it's Zoey Zoey goes to talk to Melwythrone Melwythorne explains that he's not from Lux Concordia, but instead from a forest grove, and is feeling homesick He goes on to tell her that he's planning on studying at the academy, and needs to learn how to deal with being so far from home Zoey suggests that he take this time to practice being so far from home She offers to play with him in Silkball to help him take his mind off of home He accepts, much to the delight of Javenesh Doya and Rin join the three, and play a game of Silkball Their team sorely loses Javenesh gives the group magic soap to help clean the dirt off of them Doya wonders if they have real showers The group head towards the Bow's End Tavern As they enter, they see some armored people outside of the tavern advertising something, and ignore them Inside of the tavern is filled with the sounds of music and the smells of food Carmilla gravitates towards the theater club They are near the stage, where a guy is monologuing without end A noble girl near the group complains that he has been hogging the stage for a while Carmilla asks Guillermo to do something about him Guillermo flies to the rafter, and poops on him It works, and the guy gets off the stage The noble girl, named Rubina, thanks Carmilla and Guillermo for their help, and offers Carmilla the next spot on the stage Carmilla declines, saying that Rubina was in line first As Rubina goes to the stage, White wonders if Carmilla has something in mind for her performance Rubina goes to the stage, and delivers an amazing show with a prop sword While she performs, the party discuss uniforms, and what it means Doya is the only one vocally confident she has the money to afford one After Rubina finishes, Carmilla goes to give her own performance She gives a dramatic monologue that ends with her acting her own death The group go to check out the band next They encounter a goth girl attempting to fix a strange instrument She tells the group that it is called a hurdy-gurdy, and that there is something stuck inside of it Rin uses his little rat hands to grab it, and give it to her The girl, named Aurora, thanks the party, and talks about her taste in sad music Zoey likes music, but disagrees with her choice in genre As the group leave the conversation, Doya calls her weird within earshot The group discusses where to go next, and decides to go to the café to get some food As they head out, they stop by the newspaper club's stand They encounter a girl telling another student that she wanted as much information about the gaint rat situation as she could get The girl, named Mina Lee, turns to the group and asks if they know Tulk She then asks them if they've heard about any giant rats Rin hides in the crowd

The group tell her what they saw at the stadium The girl thanks them, and then rushes off to get information from the source The group continue on towards the Firejolt Café Rin begins eating sandwiches from his bag Doya gets upset that he isn't sharing Carmilla talks about what food she eats - she claims to only consume blood The party reach the Archway Commons, and see a group of people in costumes fighting A gnome girl runs into another student, causing him to trip and break his replica sword The girl, named Rosimyffenbip Wuzfeddlims (or Rosimy for short), sees the group and asks them if they can help Doya suggests fixing it with gum Zoey begins to cast Mending Doya comments about Rosimy's long name, and asks the group to guess her middle name She admits it's Aldina after the fail miserably to guess Rosimy tells the group about what her and the other costumed people are doing - LARP! Once Zoey fixes the sword, Rosimy and the other student return to the fray Carmilla asks the party to stop by the Dead Languages club since it's also in the commons Greta goes ahead to reserve a spot at the Café The rest of the group go to the Dead Languages club The club is currently splitting up into pairs to write poems Doya, Rin, and White don't want any part of it Zoey gets paired with Drazhomir, an awkward minotaur boy He and Zoey coordinate to work on the poem Carmilla gets paired with Quentillius Antiphiun Melentor III, an insufferable human boy He tells Carmilla to keep up, and calls Carmilla a rival Both pairs get a resounding applause when they read their poems Carmilla and Zoey return to the group, and the whole group head towards the Café Doya asks Rin why he has so many sandwiches, and where he's from Rin tells her that he's from Valtahost, and that his sandwich cache was perfectly normal He is shocked when the rest of the group do not know what a television is As they approach the café, they hear sounds of distress coming from a basement door on the café They enter the basement, and see an injured student on the ground next to a giant rat! As the group get close, more rats emerge from the shadows The group grab LARP props, and prepare for a fight! FIGHT! White fires, Doya kicks a rat, Carmilla and Guillermo try to help, Rin chills, Zoey tries diplomacy VICTORY!

Rin struggles to get his magic back under control The injured student admits that he didn't believe the rumors about the giant rats Doya wonders why there are rats in the café in the first place A professor enters the basement, and is shocked about what she sees She casts a charm to bring Rin's magic back under control The professor, named Professor Sharpbeak, explains that she was coming to retrieve all students for the show at the theatre, and come to investigate the noises She takes the group to get their injuries taken care of She asks the group what their names are, and gives them some gold in thanks She thanks them for their bravery, but warns them to expect that type of danger from the school though Doya wonders if Rin or Zoey now have the plague The group are taken to the theatre, where they see a play about the school featuring a talking book Afterwards, they are given some merch, and mages prepare to teleport the potential students back home Doya and Carmilla are teleported out first since they live nearby Carmilla does not like it when the mage insists on seeing that she makes it home Zoey is teleported next She talks to someone out of sight once she gets home Rin and White have to wait a while for a mage that can teleport them Rin wonders if he and White need to be enemies or allies since they have contrasting elements White suggests that they be allies Rin tells White that he expected the wait since Valtahost is both far away and unpopular in Lux Concordia White does not say where he is from The conversation is interrupted as both a figure and a feeling of sorrow draws close It's Archjusticar Yasha, the headmaster of the academy! She tells White that she will take him home, and Rin that his brother will take him home As she takes White home, she tells him that a councilor will be there to speak to him soon Meanwhile, Rin is greeted by Bec, who is carrying a bunch of free pizza As the group returns home, they are greeted by their families Doya tells her mom about the money she earns, and promptly has it confiscated Carmilla lies to the man she lives with, telling him she dressed up to impress a boy Zoey hugs her parents

Rin and Bec deliver some free pizza White's home life remains a mystery Time passes, and the Wyrm Academy requests letters recommending each potential student Rin and White receive letters of recommendation from their respective care-takers Carmilla and Zoey spend a lot of time writing letters of their own Doya is made to write a letter of her own, even though her mom already obtained a letter of recommendation for her More time passes, and eventually February 10th comes around, when all potential students with accepted letters are called int for exams All five members of the group arrive, and meet up Doya forgot who the party was Carmilla wonders if her vampiric ability to walk on walls will help her The students are called in to take their tests - a total of six exams are required! The first is a test of strength and athletic ability The second is a test of agility and reflexes The third is a test of endurance The fourth is a test… y'know, like with pencils and paper The fifth is a test of mental reflexes and wit The sixth test is a test of mental fortitude and endurance against fears After the sixth test, the students are allowed to rest As they do, they hear rumors of an elf girl who go 100% on the written test, and of a very pretty blonde angel girls Doya wonders why people think she's blonde Rin admits that the fear was presented was a lack of snacks Zoey tells Doya that she does not have the plague The students are sent home to wait for the results Two weeks pass, and letters are sent to all the students who made it in All the group made it in, and are greeted with letters that shoot out illusory fireworks Each member of the group is ecstatic, except for Doya, who is baffled Each person prepares the paperwork for entry, including financial aid if needed, and then for the move ahead One-by-one, they arrive at the academy dorm rooms to choose a room, and find a roommate Carmilla chooses a room, and finds that her roommate is Aurora! She realizes that Aurora is a dhampir, and might be able to see through her façade… Zoey chooses a room, and finds that her roommate is a gnomish girl named Larksann that has two giant robot arms and a lot of percussion instruments The two bond over music Doya chooses a room, and finds that her roommate is Greta! Doya is just happy her roommate isn't a musician Rin chooses a room, and finds that his roommate is Howard, a member of the family that Bec worked for in a previous life The two wonder if the setup was done on purpose They are bothered by Ethel, Howard's cousin, and bond over their new common enemy when she leaves White chooses a room, and finds that Rosimy is his roommate! He refuses to accept that, and trades rooms with another student White goes to the traded room, and finds that his roommate is an orcish nerd named Urzmaktok Grojsh The two agree to not bother each other As the group settles into their respective rooms, Doya begins to dream about ruling this place…
