not to be like that but in another universe vitali would try to fuck that old man WSHGFDGHFDGDFHG i'm right. everyone agrees

however in this universe he is normal about him :] they're on speaking terms now but it took them very long to get to that point because of everything that has happened. during the in-game events, vitali is very wary of goro because he is fully expecting him to run back to arasaka the moment he gets the chance and. well. that's exactly what ends up happening </3 they work together until the point of no return and then vitali even momentarily forgets about the man

they meet again in the arasaka arc of the story when vitali and vincent are back in night city to find a cure for vincent's condition. vitali "dies" and is brainwashed by arasaka and goro and sandayu oda are basically the only non-brainwashed people in that division to oversee the entire situation. during all of that (i haven't. written about it i'm so sorry just trust me), both of them realize that their loyalty to arasaka might not be worth it in the end and when rogue and vitali escape the corporation, goro and sandayu come with them :]

nowadays, goro and vitali respect each other and occasionally do business together! goro is currently working for wakako in my canon, hanako is still alive and she's still recovering from the brainwashing program and she's staying in one of wakako's safehouses for the time being so that's all taken care of. goro is mostly keeping contact with vitali's office for vincent because they were a lot closer during the in-game events than goro and vitali, but you can never have enough allies in night city so both of them put in effort to stay on good terms with one another

vitali and judy are like. brothers in arms. professional clown to clown communication. their brains are linked together they can speak to each other telepathically they hate each other's guts they love each other in an mlm/wlw solidarity AND hostility way they would commit war crimes for each other they would kill each other without thinking twice they would swim across the ocean for each other they have each other blocked on all social media. do you see my vision

they met each other through vincent and basically immediately chose violence with each other because of prejudices on both sides but this turned into funnyman hostility within like 24 hours when they realized they're both just some guy <3 they understand each other on a fundamental level that i cannot possibly explain so you'll just have to trust me but there's so much going on there even though they don't have a lot of screen time together during the in-game events

judy is still here now for the broker fic and she occasionally does some runner work for vitali when lauren is unavailable. she's also the local techie and he's paying her for all the work she does so she can't complain <3 plus she likes to hang out around his office anyway so it's a win/win situation :] they mostly talk to each other about work and stuff nowadays but if they were to have some free time together they would probably watch very bad movies together and continuously roast the shit out of it together while watching

1. yuuta - he is my blorbo! would be very nice and wholesome :] his wholesomeness would be even funnier if you consider the fact he does not keep up with meme culture in the slightest so every time someone sends a meme he's like ??????? what??? what does this mean??

2. toge - they are such a funny lil guy to me and i would love to hear his thoughts in actual words! i think i would appreciate their sense of humour. probably would be pretty chaotic and have the weirdest reaction images! (confuses yuuta the most and finds it very funny)

3. nobara - she and toge would constantly bully each other for being disgustingly in love w their respective bf/gf <3 also would say something absolutely insane and immediately log off/not elaborate occasionally and toge would be like 'yass so true 🤣🤣🤣 #facts' (ironically)

4. maki - she would not be very active but. listen girfriends go together! she would be funny sometimes!

5. yuuji - really active and also constantly attempting to be neutral in the wlw/mlm hostility/solidarity toge and nobara have got going on! trying his best to explain recent memes to yuuta but boy's got adhd so his explanations are a little strange. there is a 50/50 chance he'll confuse yuuta even more

Putting this here so I can semi organize my thoughts and also occasionally take it out and inspect it like a priceless family heirloom. It will still be vaguely incoherent. Thank you @youandthemountains for indulging and obsessing with me

The many possibilities of the "Dani LaRusso with Janis Ian's style and Laney Bogg's artistry" au include (but might not be limited to!):

Full Rule 63. Dani is the new girl, Alex is the guy everyone warns her about because he goes through girls like nothing, Jenny is Alex's on again off again ex who sees red when she sees Alex talking up the new girl. The Cobras are her posse of mean girls who start rumors about Dani being a boyfriend stealing slut. Alex's friends don't understand why he's so hung up on Dani because "dude she's super lame and she's probably not even into you, look at her, she's obviously...you know." Meanwhile Alex knows Dani is already planning their next date.

Dani, Ali, and Jenny. They are all girls and it's an open secret that Ali is gay as hell but since she's girly and rich, she's still popular. She's very aware of this and it feeds into how she interacts with girls she knows are into her: a lil cocky, very smooth and suave, a lil dominant about it. She and Jenny dated before she broke it off because Jenny was turning into a Mean Girl. Jenny is very preppy and feminine. Wears skirts all the time because her mom picks out her clothes. She and the Cobras almost don't have to start rumors about Dani because people are already calling her gay (derogatory) instead of gay (admissable) because of the way she dresses and acts. The Cobras still do karate but no one gets in their way about it because they're rich and dangerous.

Dani, Ali, and Johnny (endgame lawrusso). Basically the same as #2 except Ali is bi and it's Johnny, not Jenny. Johnny would kick Dani's ass but he refuses to hit a girl ("even if she is a dyke"), so he turns to feeding the rumor mill about her. Really growing into his preppy bitchy self. Dutch is a girl and offers to beat up Dani for Johnny multiple times and Johnny always considers it before ultimately declining. Dutch is also like the Regina George of this universe and the only reason she's not leading the Cobras is because Johnny is the only one of them who can beat her in a fair fight, so she respects him. She definitely has a crush on Dani and is extremely jealous of Ali and Johnny because they're the ones getting all of Dani's attention. This becomes lawrusso in ck era.

Dani, Ali, and Johnny (Dani and Johnny become bffs). The exact same as #3 except it doesn't end up as lawrusso. People do often think they might be dating in ck era but they are both hilariously disgusted by the idea. Very close frenemyship, mlm/wlw hostility and solidarity off the charts. They would be each other's wingpeople but they are really awful at it because they're both disasters in general.
