The tired has hit a little earlier than I thought. Ugh. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and was out of the house at 6, hit Columbus at 7 to drop Allie off at early care, and then drove the two hours to Oxford to arrive at 9 for my insurance class. Left there at 3:15 and arrived back at Columbus at 5:15 to then head home and pull back in the garage a little after 6 pm. Ugly, cathartic, inconsolable emotions. 12/25/16

So, this has been a LOOOONG 10 days. Spousey returned for Xmas, leaving today. I am always tense in preparation, and I stay that way the WHOLE freakin' time. We got along fine, he was on his best behavior with all of us, but wondering if/when he explodes for a minor 'infraction' if unnervingly exhausting. I am emotionally spent. Apparently... Please know that one of the things that allowed me to tolerate his horrible, scary treatment towards us was his willingness to take on a traditional 'provider' role. The 1st spouse was not willing to maintain jobs, but perfectly willing to go to Deadwood, SD to gamble our bills money away. It was something that was an very real concern for me the 2nd time. But this puts the family at an extreme disadvantage in all aspects. With that said, he covered a lot of the expenses of his trip and Christmas. So, thank you for at least taking on that singular family-related responsibility. Now, the culmination of this past visit came today when he flew out this afternoon. I got to call my folks to wish a Merry Christmas, move back into the master (I moved into the spare room for the visit so he could have the master), got to watch TV in here while our daughter played Minecraft on her 'Santa'-gift Xbox One with a friend. Ahhhh, it was nice. Even my shoulders have begun to relax. So a movie came on, 'The Prince and Me'. Y'all, the very last moments triggered a five-minute ugly cry. From there, I have been randomly tearing up... It's been hours. I am hoping I will be able to begin fresh tomorrow. Crying is almost as exhausting as the tension the household has just experienced.
