*warning third picture may be considered graphic* So, living with animals sometimes we forget that there are natural instincts even in the sweetest of animals. Pigs have a natural thrive to be at the top of the hierarchy in their herd. Usually, I know not to interfere when the boys have a tussle. It's usually over quickly and they hurt each other a lot less than they will hurt a person. Especially knowing that they haven't had tusks done in a while, I should've stepped back and respected their natural instincts. For some reason I didn't and earned my #pigmom scar. Tusks can cause serious injury and infection, maintaining them with indoor pigs are must.
