Human hcs again. Various facets of Giblets (he/any) and Mona (she/he) in some other, kinder life.

Elaboration below the cut vvv cw: mentions of character death + dysphoria though i think both are pretty mild

Giblets: I keep going back n forth on if he's better with shorter or longer hair but I like the whole "tufts of unkempt hair = general silhouette of his canon design's face" deal. Either way I'm sure that by the time he entered the worst of his paranoia he cut it short fearing that it'd get caught on something or a would-be assailant would pull on it to get ahold of him. Some shade of genderfluid or gnc or. Not entirely cis man. More masc-ish out of. Convenience? Being used to it? But he has no issue with more androgynous or outright feminine presentation. Ig it comes with being voiced by Kevin McDonald. Pleakley sauntered so Dr. Giblets could trip and fall and die 💜

The more realistic portrait + the edited version would be him at the start of the game -> when you find him. Whatever sleep he had he'd lost. And I like the idea of that 5 o clock shadow for good measure.

Mona: Slightly more fem design for her. I hc that she's bigender but closeted,, In a "Psyche I lived bitch"/revival au she'd finally be swayed to present the way she's wanted to all this time. Turns out nearly being wiped off the census by a teen hitman is great motivation for finally deciding to express yourself! Would be a shame if she were the only one of the three given a second chance... ok nah I don't think I have the heart to do that. Jonathan is not dead he just lent his sister his jacket bc she's cold and having a rough day it's all good... the skrendels get to stay together.

Uh Mona does prefer a more feminine presentation but it all feels new to him. He feels a little out of place since he doesn't know exactly how he wants to look + how to "pass" and what he would even pass for. Still wants to be strong and taken seriously but he doesn't want that to necessarily equal being a man 100% of the time. I feel he'd end up somewhere between girly guy and tomboy-ish depending on the day. I also hope with the hair here you see the vision. somewhere between scene and swag era here. remember that? i miss domo :/

Ilya Monakhov is my (almost) new character. According to his story, he encounters other aliens who want to scout and sell Earth's location to the G3 cartel. Ilya manages to deal with them and pick up a couple of gatlians who were forced to travel with these bandits. Ilya decides to go into space with them and try to delay the appearance of new aliens on Earth. He begins a career as a mercenary, and through a series of good circumstances becomes of interest to the G3 cartel. He begins working with the cartel and then becomes close to the Skrendel brothers. 

I still don't know how this story ends, but I'm interested in thinking about Ilya's interactions with the bros. More drawings are on the way, I suppose. 🌺

Hey what if I *draws your alien that hates humans as humans* lol

These are all a little old (from jan-march) but save for giblets I feel like I’ve got everyone pinned down nicely. Notes under the cut!! Don’t repost, feel free to tell me what you think 💕

1-2: Krubis. I hope you see my vision here. Mostly just trying to figure out if I like this hair texture for him or if I go curlier. I’m set for his work outfit though and I like the idea of him wearing glasses or shades 24/7. But yknow. I think this captures his essence. This is the sort of person he is in my eyes.

The second doodle is kind of rushed but I think in a human au maybe he’d forgo a prosthetic in most circumstances. Hell I think if he can remove the drill at all in canon then he does so when it comes to paperwork and shit. I think he was born without the arm so hes learnt to get by without any sort of prosthetic. I need to do more research into the matter though

3: Douglas. The shorter cut is more in character but I do like the (VERY SPLATOON INSPIRED BTW) braid idea. I think he’s on the younger side alongside the Skrendels? But also he’s very baby faced I think. To mirror the whole “actually Douglas was the silly blue goober the whole time” thing

4: Dr. Giblets. As I said before this sketch is a bit old but I did touch it up. A bit too lanky his face needs to be rounder. I think he’s the oldest of the officers maybe older than Garm. Probably? Not by much. Also 5 Torg in the corner but I didn’t like how she came out so she’ll be in the next batch of whatever 💔💔💔

5: Angela + Jonathan in armor bc for a human/more anthro au I think they’d all have these helmets that mirror the one big eye(and headcanons for what happens when they argue: Angela mediates between Jonathan and Mona, Jonathan does the same when Angela argues with Mona, and Mona just straight up leaves the two to beat the shit out of each other then tearfully apologize .). Also nipulon weezer blue.

6: Garmantuous. Idk if he should be bald or not. Also like 40? Could be a bit older maybe even younger… extra eyes HAVE TO be plugs though I have decided on this. I feel smart for this.

7: more Mona ^_^ more developed sketch of the same hc that he just dips if the other two ever argue + fem presenting alt design + probably what went through his head by the time the BH took out his other brothers during the fight. Also his hair would be bleached blonde 👍🏼 but all the Skrendels have very dark hair naturally.

(On that note: as mentioned before Krubis’s hair is all grey now to mirror the drill. Douglas not sure probably brown or strawberry blond/gingery but dyed blue. Giblets. Uh. Idk it’s pink ish but that way naturally somehow and greying obviously. Garm also blonde but probably bleached? And like I said Skrendels all have black or brown hair but Mona bleached his and Jonathan dyes his hair every now and then

at risk of sounding corny or like some sort of edgy subversionst I cannot get over how the skrendel brothers are Kind Of Scary and how terrifying they'd be if they weren't . well. low-key a joke

Like yeah here's some aliens that are just disembodied scaly human torsos with big cyclopian eyes where their heads should be and gaping toothy maws where their legs should be. They're incredibly agile and are strong enough to chuck people a good couple of feet maybe even meters into the air. They spew acid. They're great at cooperation and will latch on to each other to combine and increase their power. They work for a drug cartel bent on trafficking humans to get high on their life force. Yeah and they're running a lab that's experimenting on humans and other aliens. To impregnate and clone them so that they never run out of their supply. They're probably too stupid for the job but they're surrounded by employees competent enough to do their bidding. Or they're actually smart enough to carry out experiments. Somehow they've managed to fuck up one of your little gun friends so badly that it can't remember anything but pain and being warped beyond recognition, stuck birthing short lived mutants to defend itself.

Yeah they're also stereotypical italian born gangbangers. Their names are Jonathan, Angela and Mona. Yes that's a Who's the Boss reference. Yeah that's kind of their whole deal actually. Don't ask me why bc i don't know. But they also shoehorn a Voltron reference in. One has a mustache. They're also pubes. Because that's where the body tapers off into a mouth. Yeah.
