it's like procrastinating or sleeping in. the anxiety makes you avoid anxiety and gives you a false sense of security. I think this happens to a bunch of people. Not having to face a scary situation feels too good sometimes :c

I used to be really bad with thoughts like those. I've found that pretty much the only way to combat them is going out somewhere alone and letting your anxiety peak and then calm down. It really sucks at first but it gets a lot easier! You can do it!

I'll probably have to. I can go to places alone during the day just fine, like I don't even care - it's doing things at night thats tough. I don't have a car, so I don't always have a quick way out and I can't really handle that.

Did any of you notice the two (or three?) women of color in the background of the ball scene? I feel like by putting WOC in that scene they diminished the bullshit "historical accuracy" argument and basically just clearly stated "we don't want to make movies about people of color." Like, "yeah I guess we'll throw you in, but you can't speak let alone play an important role." Idk I just thought it was worth pointing out and I wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter!
