standing under a boiling hot shower last night talking to myself about how odd it is that people still think “the duffers wouldn’t do something that deep/complex/intricate and hide so much information because the general audience wouldn’t be able to pick up on it” is a valid argument as if the show wasn’t immediately massively popular to the point that they probably could’ve ignored the general audience this whole time and as long as they had a coherent story it would’ve continued to gain traction. it’s their show, they’re gonna do whatever they want with it and hide as many secrets as they can and they will get away with it. why should they "dumb down" their work when they want to live up to their own standards. i think i'd rather die than only do surface level shit to "appeal to the most people."

#and OBVIOUSLY there's certain things they should listen to their audience about ie. poor story beats. racism. complicit in sending bad msgs #but i'm talking about like their Overall Plot like The Story They Want To Tell and the World They Want To Showcase #at a certain point it stops being meaningful art if you start trying to cast the widest net and then it becomes hollow nothingness #and yes OBVIOUSLY they have to pay attention to the (arguably) largest demographic of their audience to a degree #but like. theyre also still gonna make it Their Show #and im not saying this as someone who catches all the secrets. im a fucking dumbass #im saying this as someone who just mindlessly watched it until s4 came out and i started thinking #'hm something is weird about this 001 guy' and then saw other people being way smarter than me picking out details #i say things #stranger things

I really want to develop a mumu based on a tinder match, but like with true anonymity. Muse A and Muse B are pre developed OCs who match, and the thread starts with text messages. The most both writers know about the other’s muse is what would be visible on a dating profile (FC, age, location, and maybe a few interests). The two eventually meet, and maybe it works but maybe it doesn’t. They bring their own friends into the mix, and maybe they both know some of the same people, or maybe Muse A decides they’re more interested in Muse B’s best friend. Idk. I just think it would be fun to try and throw a random muse with another one, with no prior character development or plot detail, and see what happens.

I sadly don't actually have a ton to say on this in this post but !! I am very down to plot more for this / work to have it become a thing. From the bit of what we discussed I think they could be neat acting as platonic partners in crime. As long as she can put up with him being, well, him then they're probably golden to be set on track for that lol.

Morgana and Darkwing: 💘💛💜 💘 actually unrequited + 💛 platonic + 💜 enemies to friends

Enemies to friends I'm down for since that's basically in the canon for '91. Having any existing romantic interest be unrequited and things being platonic I'm also perfectly fine / happy with since I'm not huge on Morgwing due to how it is in canon. I think '91 Darkwing and Morgana feel better as friends anyway and actually getting to explore a friendship with them is something I think would be pretty neat. I've never really been able to do that before since I either never seen anyone who writes her so it's really cool to actually meet n get to interact with someone who does !!

As for falsely assumed unrequited I think it could be interesting since '17 Darkwing doesn't have a Morgana in his universe. Though, I'm assuming for this one it'd mean one has feelings for the other, assumes it to be unrequited, but it is in reality mutual or develops to be mutual ? If you hadn't meant this when sending that one then feel free to let me know and correct me on what you meant. But ! If that's indeed what you meant I think it could be interest. Though, with anything romantic I do, it's a "let's see if it develops" too since I don't like to promise mutual romantic interest between muses. Never know what might happen or if something might effect the ability for there to be romance.

This production of Romeo & Juliet is a joint-feature by Walt University and Fantasia Theatre. It follows the original script for the play, with only the following changes: the play is now set in the 1920s, and any gender can play any role.

Only Walt Uni students can portray the leads, but anyone can now perform non-lead roles (and they can be multiple roles if you’d like!!). And anyone can still be crew.

UPDATES !!

Currently (as of end of jan 2023-start of feb 2023): rehearsal mode! technical rehearsals! final costume fittings, set design finalised. it’s all coming together they’re rehearsing at least twice a week now, and ppl are free to rehearse by themselves of course.

Opening Night: 17 Feb Performances (matinees & nights): 17 Feb-end of Feb (TBA)

"Hop up", he tapped the edge of the dark wooden desk demandingly. Brown eyes studying the harm that had been done, the professor was often hard to read on the surface - a look of certain stoic seriousness always rested on his features. With a smack against his thigh he cracked the ice pack, cold liquid cooling the plastic covered bag quickly. Stepping in closer, Quinn's head tilted slightly. With an extended hand, he gently grabbed their chin to tilt their head to see the inflicted damage better. "May I?" Lifting the bag with his question, he raised an eyebrow, waiting for consent before continuing.

BACKGROUND

triggers for death, homophobia, implied child abuse.

growing up in a small medieval town that didn't even have 10,000 people with an angry father was a very isolating experience for beau. after the death of his mother when he was only two, the only nurturing presence in his life was the quickly fading existence of guinevere rhodes in his memory, a blur on photographs.

there wasn't much to do locally except go fishing with whoever was willing to adopt him for the day or constantly harass the kind grandmas with his childlike chaos—something he could never do around his father without his every move being mistaken for malice or rebellion.

for someone who was as terrible of a student, it was ironic that his safe haven was the private catholic boarding school he'd been forced to attend and which just so happened to be at least an hour away from home.

the older he got, the less he cared. sometimes he'd come home sloshed after a pub crawl with his friends, despite the futile attempts to sober up on the bus ride home with copious amounts of bread and sleep, and most of the days he wouldn't come home at all. it was almost always worth the dire consequences, so long as he could experience a somewhat normal childhood.

beau was admittedly legendary at his school for his pranks, side hustles, and being a walking recipe for headache to the teachers around him, although some of them wouldn't deny that beau's never wavering and kind spirit was admirable.

still, his life was closely monitored by those who respected authority and were devout to god, as well as his father, even with all that distance between them, literally and metaphorically. by the time he turned seventeen, he'd already racked up an impressive number of detention and expulsion warnings. those threats were often empty promises, except for the time he got suspended for bringing a donkey onto the premises and wreaking havoc, until the head master caught him with her son doing everything but holy things.

needless to say, he was expelled months before his graduation and his father had brought him home by his ears only to immediately kick him out and tell him to never return. happy to do so, he packed his entire life into a suitcase, stole his father's car, promising his younger sister he'd come back for her if he were ever mean to her as he was to him, and escaped to london, where he started a new chapter of his life.

he spent more or less a year sleeping on the streets or couch-surfing, working odd jobs and getting involved in sketchy shit just to get by and survive. his saving grace came in the form of a lanky and dashingly handsome man, who would soon become his best friend, taking him into his home and auto shop for the time being, teaching him everything he needed to know to become a decent mechanic and get a long-term job.

later, they would form a band with some of their friends as a joke, except it was quickly becoming a reality after a video of theirs had gone viral, and before they knew it, venom dreams was big enough to start doing gigs and "tour" across the united states under the guise of a road trip.

beau's then long-time girlfriend had joined them on said tour, supporting them at every show, however, her presence was also one of the reasons for the downfall of the band. after finding out that she'd been sleeping with his best friend behind his back, he wasted no time to call it quits and went on a road trip of his own, finding his way to fairford.

although he hadn't intended to stay longer than a week or two, he ended up forming a meaningful connection with the town and its residents, throwing all caution out the window and deciding to build a life there even if for just a year.
