And they did care about Michi -- they and Itachi had simply decided that he was the better choice to raise their daughter. "You're my kid," the brunette ANBU repeated, crouching down to be at eye-level with their daughter, "and I care about you. Even if you don't believe it." Her father was talking to the man called the Hokage, so she had been told to remain in the hall until he was done with this meeting. He wasn’t against her talking to anyone, but it was difficult to ask someone to watch her when she didn’t know anyone and everyone was quite busy. The quiet girl stood in the hall silently, until she was approached by a brunette. The shy child would’ve clung onto her father and moved behind him if he were here, but he wasn’t, so instead she clutched the ends of the sleeves of her long-sleeved shirt.

Michi blinked slowly at the adult in front of her. Her father had told her that she was going to meet her mother now that they were planning on living in the village. She had seen a few photographs of her parents together, most of which were taken when they were quite young and with some other friends. Still, it was enough to believe that this wasn’t some stranger making up a lie.

The brunette crouching to her height did ease some of her nerves and she quit clutching the ends of the sleeves as tightly. From the stories that Itachi had told her, her mother did care about her but things had been ‘complicated.’ What exactly complicated meant, the Uchiha didn’t ask or get a further explanation, but all stories about Hana were given in a positive light.

“You mean it?” The girl looked hopeful rather than doubtful, “You care about me?” Living outside of the village, the only person that she ever had say they care about her was her father. “I care about you too~” At least, she was pretty sure she did/would. After all, that’s how children in books felt about their parents, right?

Hmm, there’s a lot that I’d like to thread about in regards to Michi’s background story since it’d be nice to expand on certain parts.

I think the main thing that I’d want to do a thread about/during would be her getting used to living in the village and deciding that she wants to be a kunoichi, since that seems to be the choice that most of the kids her age are making and she’s mainly trying to find a way to fit in to the village more.

Uncommon Questions for OCs and their creators

Alice: She thinks it’s sweet. She hasn’t really thought about her own marriage and isn’t planning on getting married anytime soon though.

Aino: She isn’t a big fan of marriage. Her mind automatically goes to her parents and their dysfunctional marriage. She does think that there are some cute married couples (such as when she saw pictures of her teacher and his wife). She has little interest in getting married though.

Akiko: She adores the idea of marriage. She wants a great wedding to an amazing husband.

Ai: She hasn’t really thought about it much. She’s honestly assumed that she would die before having the chance to get married, like Rin and Obito. As she gets older, she isn’t against the idea of getting married.

Michi: She likes marriage. She hopes for a better marriage than her parents, so she would be somewhat hesitant before getting married.

Shika: Shika hopes to get married in the future. She doesn’t want to resign to a housewife after getting married though like she has seen others do.

Charlotte: As a child, she dreamed of getting married and having a family. After getting older and seeing how it was practically impossible to have a decent relationship as a hunter, she has given up on those dreams.

Ayame & Sakura: Both twins hope for happy marriages in their futures. They have plenty of examples of what they don’t want, but they aren’t quite sure what the ideal marriage would be for either of them.

Lilith: As a child, she wasn’t really eager for a marriage, since her parents’ marriage was arranged and not out of love. As she got older and fell in love, she looks forward to marriage.

Akane: She doesn’t have a strong opinion on marriage. It’s not a huge dream of hers, but she isn’t against getting married either.

Ember: Ember hopes to get married someday. When she was hiding her identity as a firebender, she felt like she couldn’t marry anyone since she was lying about who she was. After no longer hiding who she is, she hopes to form a meaningful relationship and get married.

Lucy: She hopes to get married. Her problem is that since she’s so used to investigating matters that it’s easy for her to get into those habits at bad times. She is also slightly untrusting others that try to get close to her, so she isn’t the best at getting into relationships.

The academy looked huge to the young Uchiha, who had made the choice to become a kunoichi like many others her age hoped to do. After all, once Michi set her mind to something, it was quite difficult to change it, despite the attempts of her father parents. Now though, she was going to have to face her first challenge on her journey to becoming a kunoichi: her first day of the academy with many kids that she did not know. Of all the things her parents had warned her about, this was not one of them.

She entered the classroom quietly and took a seat in the back of the room. She silently looked around - there was a woman at the front of the room with a paper, likely a roster of the students, whom Michi assumed was going to be her instructor. She vaguely recognized her as someone who she had seen by the Sixth Hokage after some of his speeches. The others in the room all appeared to be her age. Some seemed to be nervous like her and in various corners alone, while others seemed to have friends that they were sitting by.
