He had to protect her. Not, in fact, that he thought of her as incapable or weak, but without a deck or a duel disk, she wouldn’t stand a chance against the fierce power of duel spirits.

His fingers wrapped around her wrist, yanking her away from the action as he shot like a bullet toward the nearest, crumbling exit. Somewhere in the chaos, he managed to draw a card from his deck, slapping it onto one of the empty spaces in his duel disk.

“Neos!” A flourish of light burst from behind them, and suddenly the blast which might have incinerated the pair exploded like an erratic series of fireworks. Judai had little time to watch over his shoulder as his loyal duel spirit and companion shattered like a mirror, before the force of the blast sent them flying toward the ground.

As a man with little patience, Haou was less than pleased;money was due, and when it wasn’t paid back in full with interest another name was added to his hit list. As of now, that particular list was growing lengthy,and the man currently cowering behind the bar was a name for which had come with the intention to cross off once and for all.

It was an infested whore house; drunk men were tripping over themselves as they walked, most women either missing half of their clothes or just barely covered at all. They slid in pseudo motions, twirling and twisting around metal poles as the dirty gazes of indecent men ravished their exposed skin. A few grimy hands would reach out again, to which most of the women would respond rather to rather nervously by inching away in the hopes that their unwanted advances would cease. It was a disgusting sight, and it took a significant amount of willpower to resist pulling the collar of his shirt up over his nose to stifle the musk of sex, alcohol, and cigarettes wafting around the dimly lit shack.

He threw the occasional glower to the owner who seemed to cower seamlessly behind the masses of customers, ensuring that the man understood the malice behind his gaze, and the wrath of which he was certain to release upon the cowering scum upon the first chance he could seize. Now, as it stood however, the club was far too crowded for him to make any such move. So he stood with a handful of lower ranking members from his gang as they watched a string of dancers perform on stage.

He redirected his aggravated gaze toward the spectacle. The infamous leader of Kin Kitsune was not amused, and as such was sure to make anyone who crossed him very aware of that fact.
